This place is Amazing, the full breakfast buffet is delightful, we took the pedestrian bridge to the beach & pier. Enjoyed a short walk to the historic Main Street... Great shops & restaurants. Staff at the hotel were very attentive & friendly. The pool & Jacuzzi was perfectly maintained & the temperatures were just right... Highly recommend if you are in Ventura you stay at the Amanzi Hotel

The hot tub and pool water was a little murky. Ice machine on third floor was broken. Property was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and stay again.

At first I was surprised to see the entire front of the hotel was under construction. But the inside was great. Very spacious room. We got a welcome drink and snack. Super friendly and accommodating front desk staff. Then, for dinner, we were a free walkable steps to downtown Ventura and all the shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again,

We had a great stay at Amanzi Hotel. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. Check in was quick. The rooms were very clean as was the other facilities. Happy hour was cool and unexpected, they had beer or wine complimentary (2 per adult) along with pizza, nachos and wings. Breakfast was also good, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, waffles, fruit and more. I took 1 star off because the beds and pillows were not comfortable. If you laid close to the edge it dipped down and you felt you were gonna fall off. My back was hurting the next day. Overall though very happy with the stay and would stay again.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is well designed and we appreciated the included breakfast. However - there are some major cons to this location. Hot tub was broken the whole time we were there and the power went out during the last night. The west side of the building has horrible highway noise. If you stay here ask to be on the east side of the hotel.

The parking is easy access and free, check-in easy. You have to know where to turn off Chestnut or you may put yourself back on 101 fwy southbound. The facility offers cocktails and munchies after 4pm, which is nice, but the night I checked in there was a party like gathering so no where to sit and they took over whole seating area and continued to stay till after 11pm. I know as I stayed all the way down the hall facing the driveway and I could still hear them thru my door. So rooms are not sound proof! I should have requested to move as they were so loud they echoed down the hall. They floors are likely laminate so the area in lobby echo's. I had to turn up volume on t.v., nice t.v., just to hear movie. The rooms have mini refrigerator and micro along with k coffee, nice! Overall, I would stay again but ask for upper floors. They have a nice breakfast buffet, so I really love this! This hotel use to be Country Inn in Ventura, The update is good, but coziness is gone.. Anyway, I highly recommend for families and couples that want to be close to Ocean and Downtown Ventura. Still a great place to be!!

Stayed here several times for a work event nearby. The front desk staff is always friendly, but this last time our room wasn’t great. Smelled old and there was mildew in the shower. Unless you go first thing the breakfast is cold. Location is handy for what we needed but also it sits behind the train tracks so you will hear that throughout the night as well and parking can be difficult if you have a larger vehicle and the lot is full as the parking garage is tight.

Second time staying here. Customer service is beyond excellent, thank you for that. The lobby, eating area, parking areas are super clean. Just one thing, the carpet in our room felt damp or wet while walking on it. I didn't like that

I was bummed I thought I picked and paid for an ocean front room and was put facing the street. The elevator was very difficult to use as there was no directions. Took up too 10-15 min at times to get it to work. Starting in the elevator each room smelt very bad. The hallways and the room all different but not pleasant smells.

We had a hard time finding a simple cup of ice. Also no lotion in the room, instead had one small container of conditioner beside the sink while there was already conditioner in the shower…seemed random. Mold in areas of the shower, and it leaked out if a seam onto the bathroom floor soaking the mat.

Overall it was a good stay, my 2 issue were the pillows were no very supportive and the extremely bright light that was on all night on the patio made it impossible to hang out out there and relax at night. I spoke with the front desk about it and they just told me it stays on 24 hours a day to light the property.

It sits right above the freeway and was very loud but the hotel did say that that side would not be as quiet as the other. Te biggest disapointment was the so called balcony . The floor space was only about 2 feet wide and then there is a sloping wall that prevents getting closer to windows that completly enclose the spce , so I don't feel it was trulely a balcony at all , no fresh air. They do provide a great breakfast buffet.

Everything was maybe just ever so slightly above average. The breakfast staff were super and it was nice to have a hot food buffet with chilaquiles no less. Paid for a view that was essentially non existent so don’t bother. The fireolace was cool but not visible from lounge areas so that made no sense. That said the room and bathroom with two sinks was awesome! Parking easy and secure. Always a bonus for road travelers.

The hotel is a conveniently located property just a few blocks away from Main Street in Ventura. The staff was universally friendly and welcoming, and the hotel including the public areas and rooms seem recently renovated. My room was quite spacious. And there are a number of dining options just a 5 minute walk away. The only downside is that the rooms that face the ocean also face the 101 freeway and the Amtrak tracks. So if you’re not a deep sleeper, then road noise and the train whistle can be heard all thru the night. I was only there one night so it was bearable, but if night noise from a busy highway isn’t your thing, then it’s best to book a room that faces the city, and not the ocean.

This is my favorite hotel in Ventura. They consistently deliver clean comfortable rooms at reasonable prices. The water facing rooms do experience a lot of road noise, so if that bothers you, ask for a city view room. The location is superior! Lots of shops, restaurants and bistros within an easy walk.

My 2-day stay at the Amanzi was outstanding. My room was really spacious and included a couch, a comfortable chair and a desk. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff is so friendly in particular the front desk staff (especially the young Hispanic guy named Alex I think). The breakfast buffet is top notch. The young Hispanic guy overseeing the buffet is so gregarious and makes you feel like you are a guest in a home going way above and beyond what anyone would expect. Keep up the outstanding service. I always leave already thinking about my next stay.

Everything was great. Lorena is an absolute gem!! We specified we would be paying cash at check out. When checking out the man up front already had a receipt for a credit card transaction. We did not authorize that. We paid cash and had to tell him to give us a receipt that read CASH paid. We weren’t happy with that at all. That’s why the 4 stars. Lorena… she’s a 10 star employee for sure.

We took a trip to universal in socal so we chose this hotel to break up our drive into two days. The staff was welcoming and even provided snacks that evening in the dining area. There was a breakfast included the next morning. The man that was serving food was very kind and made it his goal to insure we had everything we needed. The hotel was clean, safe and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again. On a side note, that guy that was serving the food needs a raise! He's amazing! Thank you!

We had a phenomenal stay. Louis at the front desk went above and beyond to be accommodating. Their breakfast was not a typical breakfast at a hotel. They were making fresh breakfast sandwiches as we arrived. Every part of this stay at Amanzi was exceptional. The rooms were great! The beds were comfortable! We tried to think of something they could improve and could not think of a single thing. We’ll be back.

First time in Ventura, and the Amanzi was well positioned to make our stay as good as it could be. It’s just blocks away from both the beach and Ventura’s funky downtown area. Really nice place.

We loved our overnight stay at Amanzi Hotel. The location is very convenient: close to the freeway, safe, and within walking distance to Downtown Ventura and the Ventura Pier. We walked everywhere from the hotel. The staff member that helped us was very nice and we had a great parking spot (free of charge). The hotel is very modern and clean, and our room was quite spacious and the bed was comfortable. We slept very well the night we stayed! The breakfast buffet had a nice wide variety of options and were pretty delicious. Will stay here again when we come back! Thank you!

Good stay for a night while in Ventura. Comfy bed and good sized room. Great water pressure. Breakfast was pre-scrambled eggs (bland), some greasy animal options, several dairy options, canned juice, mixed fruit, hash browns, sugar waffles (tasty! But very sweet), and an arrangement of breads/bagels, some kind of pastry. Not super healthy and very limited if you are non carnivore (vegetarian or vegan or plant based or otherwise care about your diet lol)
