Liked the bar available.

It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Close to everything. All the employees were super friendly. The outdoor pool was heated and very nice. We were able to park close to our room and access stairs. A microwave in the room would be a bonus. We used the one next to the ice maker to reheat coffee.

The property is need of deep cleaning and lots of maintenance. It was very disappointing for the price we paid. There were only 3 chaise lounges for the pool and one that was ripped beyond use. I feel we were deceived by the reviews on Expedia, then we didn’t get credit for our Marriott points so it is probably my last time using Expedia.

Close to Wilmington Airport. Nice pool. Rooms were updated and clean.

Mildew smell in 1st room, pool closed waiting on health department, holes in the carpent in 2nd room, broken furniture.

We had an excellent stay. Staff was very nice and pool/courtyard area were fun.

The hotel was quiet, clean, and having the Bistro was convenient. Everyone was pleasant and the trip was smooth.

Pleasant staff. Full bar w/ breakfast and Starbucks available for purchase. Conveniently located between downtown and the beach. Tiny pool. Days towels/ linen/ trash in hallway. Possibly housekeeping shortage. Don’t expect too much, nothing more nothing less than a stay.

Staff was very friendly. Headed out on my last morning and found blood on the bed spread. I discussed the policy of changing bedding. I was advised it is computer generated and changed every three days. I would like for house keeping in all establishment to look for defect like this. This could be a major health risk. So, i will be requesting new bedding on my next visit.

The carpet was filthy dirty and the bathroom was not clean!! Urine around base of toilet, sink fixtures not shining. I had to ask for extra sheets to cover the carpet and cleaning supplies to thoroughly clean the bathroom!!

The stay was okay. Didn’t want to sit on the furniture due to so many stains. There was rusted metal on the dresser and the table in front of the couch. There was also a roach on the desk.

Hotel is filthy , an awful smell in my room. I would have checked out the day I checked in but I had already paid. During my stay other guests complained.The photos that you see on the website are probably from when it first opened .

The exit door and the room door were both very heavy. The room was damp and smelled musty. Some of our clothes that we laid out were damp the next morning. The C table by the couch was stained and we asked to have it changed out but it was not done but instead the carpet was wet underneath it. The couch is worn in places and the ottoman needs cleaning. The bathroom fan runs continually. We could see the outside around the sliding glass door. The headboard cushions are funky. A real headboard is needed. On a positive note, the linens were great and the shower curtain looked new. The room was clean so kudos to the housekeeper. The decor colors are nice!

The room was not clean. We couldn’t check in until 430 because the rooms were being cleaned. When we did finally check in the sheets were stained, the shower was dirty, black/brown stains all over the shower curtain, appeared to be something spilt down the wall? Very disappointed, would not recommend. If we had’ve been staying longer than one night I would’ve left, definitely not worth the price paid.

Our room was outdated, dirty, stains on the ceiling carpet, when I took out the spare blanket for the pullout bed it was actually so dirty. I felt gross after touching it. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The staff was very responsive to our requests and seem to be trying very hard.

The rooms are cleaned every three days, which I did not know and was not told ahead of time. That definitely would have changed my reservation to cancel.

Staff was friendly and helpful; they made check in and out quick and easy. The room, however, had areas where it had not been cleaned, wall at the head of the bed, between bed and nightstand, shower (hair and snot on the wall), just minor things that could be missed in a turnover but nonetheless seen by us and felt icky.

No maid service for my five night stay even though I had requested service every other day when I first checked in online. The closest outside door to my hotel room was on the side, but could not be opened by my hotel key. I had to resort to using the back entrance. Room smelled a bit musty until the air conditioning was turned on.

Bed and pillows were uncomfortable, didn’t get a good night sleep. AC unit in the room was noisy Location however was good for what we needed

The front desk attendant was extremely friendly and helpful in switching our room when we requested 2 beds. Unfortunately, we found trash left in our room, the TV didn’t work, and neither did the thermostat. The whole room had the faint scent of dirty sock. Other guests filling the hotel were very loud all night. In general the property looked run down and old, the empty pool and surrounding area added to the depressing vibe.

TV bracket was broken, the TV pointed down towards the floor rather that towards the beds. The TV also had a grayed out screen, likely it's so old the screen was just toast. Also, for the high cost of the room, the TV was TINY. The beds felt like stacked cardboard rather than a comfortable mattress, it made sleeping almost impossible. We did complain to the front and they gave us free breakfast for 2 of our 4 days long stay. We appreciated the offer however it didn't fix the problems with the room. This hotel seems old and run down. The only upsides were it's location being very close to UNCW and the staff at the front desk was very friendly.

It was clean and the staff was nice, but me and my boyfriend cannot let go how absolutely uncomfortable the bed was and it was a tad noisy with the thin walls.

Check in was horrible. We were told they had no double rooms ready at check in. The person behind the desk called someone, walked away and came back 15 mins later and told us that a room was now ready. We went to said room to find it was still in the process of being cleaned. The house keeper kept apologizing (wasnt her fault) she hurried and finished. The room beside us was smoking pot in their room so thats all we could smell in our room.(non smoking room) We walked in to the lobby one afternoon and could hear an employee yelling at someone and was cussing at them. There was small childern in the lobby. Very unprofessional. We will never stay at this hotel again.

First off, we couldn’t get checked in on time due to overbooking. All the trash cans were overflowing with garbage the three days we were there. The rooms were outdated screen door was broken off. The gym was a mess. We asked for a Roland trundle bed three different times by three different front desk workers and got ignored. Been a Marriott member for 10 years and would not go back there’s a Holiday Inn express across the street. I highly recommend.

When I checked into the property I was never asked was I a bonvoy member as I have experienced at all other Marriott’s when I check in through a third party. On 7/5/24 I came by the front desk and there I noticed the wheel and I ask the older man at the desk about spending the wheel and he immediately started getting angry with me and his posture and attitude was very rude. I wasn’t told about spinning the wheel when I checked in but that doesn’t mean I get talked to and pretty much yelled at because of that. Of course being treated rude like that I can’t stay there anymore and I wouldn’t recommend anybody else to stay. This is the absolute worse I ever experienced with a Marriott. My bonvoy number is 249118154. You can see in the past I have had numerous stays and never had a complaint but this was rediculus.

Considering we stayed to visit nearby beaches, we had an excellent time, but will be very careful to choose another property in the future. The hotel is nice, the staff (for the most part) was very good, except, we stayed 5 days, 4 nights and never received any housekeeping and when asked, we where explained the difficulties of a full hotel during a holiday season. We just asked for two fresh towels, then asked the front desk for toilet paper. Thank goodness Walmart was directly across the street. We bought towels. We were out most of the days, so not too bad, but not cool either. We were told at checkout we’d be given 2k points for the inconveniences, did not receive, and we really knew we would not receive. Other than that… had a ball!

Staff was fairly unhelpful, a lot of one word answers when checking in, we were given a room and moved the vehicle to that end of the hotel only to find a maintenance worker in our room when we arrived. He then said to us “I told the girl not to rent this room out.” We walked all the way back up to the front and explained the room was unavailable. The person at the desk literally didn’t say one word to us, no sorry, let me fix that for you, nothing. Just took the room key then worked for about a minute then handed us another… like it was our fault. Lol!

When we got there we had to wait over an hour to get into our room. It was almost 1:00 AM before we finally got in our room. They did give us late check out, a soda and free breakfast. They had a staffing issue that caused the rooms to get behind on being cleaned. Other then that it was a great clean, friendly place.

Terrible, Midnight Staff very unprofessional and Rude. Tv wasn’t working, and housekeeping never came around. I had to ask for three days for towels. My room was switched without any notice.

Overall, it was an enjoyable three day vacation. I chose the Marriott and was more than willing to pay the extra money because I expected better overall accommodations, etc. The room that I had at your property in Wrightsville Beach.. had issues… I understand you need to be a member of Bonvoy. I believe it’s called to get the faster Internet. But the guest Internet was woefully inadequate with slow speeds. I informed the staff and again they were very polite good people, but never rectified the scenario. The first night no TV and finally someone did come to the room and rectified that scenario. Now; are those issues that bad?…. and I could give you a few others. But no, those are not horrific things but when you spend $500 for a three day, stay you expect high-speed Internet and next to no issues, we had to wait for towels. The excuse that I was given is everybody had quit the week before over some sort of drama , I’m being honest with you folks for this because I honestly believe it helps you to find your properties and rectify where there’s problems. I want no one at the property to have any problems. They were polite, but I should not have encountered what I encountered. Another kinda biggie. I was asked about housekeeping services if I wanted them daily, I said yes, they never did the room. Thank God I was by the ocean and it made me forget.

We did not get to check in! We had already paid for a double bed and The hotel said they booked our room to someone else and refused to assist us with accommodations. I will never book a hotel through Expedia again or stay at that hotel! I want a refund.

The hotel is centrally located to a lot of dining and shopping options, and not far from the beaches. Our only complaint was when we initially checked in for our 5 night stay, we opted in to have house keeping, only to find out a few days in that we were opted out. Thankfully the house keeping manager took care of our room for us because of that mix up. Overall a good place to stay.

GPS got us to the property with ease but its really in a location that is out of the way not near the beach nor near downtown Willmington...

Convenient location if you’re going to UNCW.

This properly was conveniently located next to a Walmart next to a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. It was a 15 minute ride from the beach and a wonderful day.

It’s not located walking distance from the beach, however the drive was not bad. Traffic was even bearable during peak hours, so it’s a plus.

Everything one needs for a good price. Starbucks is the dining option for mornings, pricey but good.

I didn't like the fact that breakfast was not free. I did like the staff , they were very friendly. The rooms were very nice and great a/c.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dining option was not great and expensive for the poor quality of food. Coffee had to be purchased. I dont think ill be booking any Marriott hotels thru the expedia app again. I booked 2 Marriott hotels for our 2 week trip and was not impressed with either hotel

I thought it offered free breakfast. No bottle water in the room or offered. I usually stay at Hilton properties for those reasons.
