Nice and quiet unfortunately the Pool and Otto were both closed for service. Other than that though everything was just fine. Very walkable to IHOP Add shopping centers

Though this Best Western looks aged and outdated, our room looked like it had been recently remodeled with clean paint and a new (although eerily squishy) tub insert. To help you make plans, here’s more: Half the rooms are on the second floor with no elevator. If you can’t manage hauling luggage and a cooler up the stairs, do what you can to stay downstairs. All rooms face the main road. Expect some traffic noise Pool: fine, but has a strange green hue. In a hot greenhouse type building, which I liked because you don’t shiver when wet. Hot tub wasn’t working. Was a draw for us, so that’s disappointing. Change the amenities listing if you are not going to fix it. Also, it’s weird to have it in its own side room. Breakfast: good with an attentive front desk clerk refilling things. Housekeeping was very nice when we returned to look for a forgotten item. Adjacent to KFC and then IHOP is just beyond that.

After a day sledding the dunes, we found our room to be clean with everything we needed. Staff was pleasant, professional, and prompt. Greatly enjoyed the pool/hot tub facilities. Nearby Thai House restaurant was outstanding for those who appreciate quality Thai food.

This Best Western is basically an old motel with a swimming pool. Unfortunately, it does not have a gym anymore, even though this is still on the website. The rooms have seen better days, walls are paper thin and you certainly do not want to walk barefoot on the carpet. The breakfast is standard. What is nice is the 24/7 availability of hot water/coffee/tea. All staff members were super friendly and doing their best to accommodate the guests.

When we got here, everything seemed fine, we were even allowed to check in early. That is where the pleasantries ended. We got up to our room and we were told they were full sized beds, they were 1 1/2 sized. The bathroom door doesnt close unless you pull it shut hard. The hot tub wasnt working even though that is why I booked here. The pool wasnt very clean. There want extra towels so we had to bring our room towels down to use at the pool and then use the same towels after we took a shower. When in the shower, we slipped in the tub, thankfully no one was hurt. There was no shampoo, conditioner or body wash. The parking was horrible. And the clenliness coming up to the room was terrible. There was trash, cigarette butts, soda bottles, and lighters on the stairs.

For the money you pay, and the tier of hotels this is, it was very well run and taken care of. Breakfast was great, rooms were clean, pool area was a decent space and nice facility, albeit old. You can tell the manager takes pride in this hotel.

Staff was helpful. Breakfast presented well. Our bathroom had black mold in two places and the toilet seat was worn out and chipped. The bathtub drain broken too. I wish I could recommend it. Staff took my feedback well.

Would not recommend this hotel. Dirty, outdated and things falling apart. Broken lampshade. Rusty items in the bathroom. Room had not been cleaned after previous occupant. Unmade bed. Dirty towels and bathroom. Not good enough Best Western.

Room had bugs, burn marks on bedding, mold along shower walls, dirty table tops, and unresponsive staff. The photos attached are just a glimpse into the grossness of these rooms. They wouldn’t refund me even though I didn’t even stay the second night of my visit.

BEDBUGS! 06SEP2024 Found bedbugs when we stripped the bed in the morning. Staff gave us full refund. Also, multiple stains around the room including suspicious white stains on comforter, and what appeared to be blood(?) on the curtains. Staff was very nice and helpful both occasions we interacted with them. Would not recommend anyone to stay here.

I’m not sure how this hotel has an 8.4 rating. Here is how our stay went: Pros: easy quick check-in Cons: Our room was DIRTY There was a little dirt on the floor and a hair tie on the floor near the trash can- appeared the floor hadn’t been vacuumed. The tub was FILTHY. There was literal dirt in the tub that I confirmed by wiping up with a tissue. Also a very dark ring around the tub. It was late so we decided to deal with it in the morning. I called the front desk, explained the issue, and requested to have the tub cleaned. Returned to room at 6 pm and it had NOT been cleaned. I had to get bleach wipes from the front desk and clean it myself!!!!!!! Absolute worst, most disgusting stay ever! Hotels.com should take this place off their list. Here are pictures of the tub, the last one is a picture of the bleach wipe after just one pass.

This place served us fine as a place to crash while traveling but I wouldn’t want to stay here for long. The beds had odd small pillows and were not very comfortable . Breakfast was fair. Not sure the eggs were eggs but did have fruit, waffles, yogurt etc .

The room was very clean and the staff was great! The hotel is old and we could hear the road and everything happening around us. Our ac unit was loud but even when we turned it off we could hear the AC unit next door to us. The coffee in the morning was great!

We booked a king suite and it was enormous! Two stories with a wet bar and two bathrooms. The bathrooms were a little beat up. Biggest complaint was the bed was pretty uncomfortable and the air conditioner made a lot of screeching noises but over all was a pleasant stay. Staff was friendly and it was a good price.

We had already booked and paid through Hotels.com and the guy at the front desk charged my debit card a pet fee of $80, which I agreed to. He also acknowledged that I booked through a 3rd party and I should sign up for Best Western rewards for next time. Later, I found out that he charged my debit card the price for each room for two nights. I called my debit card company and they told me there was a hold in my card for $286. When I went to confront him, he denied it. His manager the next day told me he made a mistake. I have the receipt to prove it now. Also the room had a dried booger on the side if the sheets of one of the bed.

The staff at the hotel was super friendly and very attentive. The room was cleaned and didnt smell like stale carpet as you often run into. We had our dogs with us and so did other people but the grounds around the hotel were clean and poop free. There were always doggie bags available at the dog-station and the trash bin was emptied every day. We stayed for 6 nights and we would stay again in the future. Shout out to Danielle and her staff!

The only thing saving this review was the staff being friendly. We didn’t have hot water in our room and were told to shower in the pool house which had lukewarm water at best. We then spent most of the night asking the front desk to do something about the kids above us who stomped around until 3 AM. Ultimately nothing was done leaving us an 8 hour drive on 3 hours of sleep. The morning staff was kind enough to comp out night.

We were heading to the Great Sand Dunes and this hotel was in an excellent location. It's located on a busy street so sometimes you'll hear big trucks during the day time, but we had a very restful night. Breakfast was great as the staff who manages it kept it all stocked and clean. We are pleased. The room was a bit dated, but very clean. We were expecting a lot of sand in the hotel room given the location, but it was unexpectedly clean. The only thing is my kids walk bare foot and the carpet is a bit dirty (may be others wear shoes inside which we don't). Overall, Best Western does not disappoint.

We have stayed at this Best Western location before and had zero problems. Our only complaint this time around was the breakfast. This was the first time ever that the breakfast at a Best Western was subpar. The scrambled eggs were over cooked and they had what looked like chop suey sauce next to the eggs. To say we were disappointed in the breakfast choices was an under statement. We expect more from Best Western. Other than the breakfast, it was a wonderful stay.
