The pool and spa were out of order and the carpets in the room were old, dirty and in need of replacement. Check in staff was excellent and inquired if we needed anything often.

The man at the frount deck was very friendly. The property is old and no frills. The pool was out of order and appeared to have been for some time. (Id call first) I did think the beds we uncomfortable.. extra firm. But the sheets and towels were clean. It was just average but ok for a couple nights stay for the price.

There was several aspects to my low ratings. First the air conditioning did not keep up with cooling the room, it was miserable. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pool was out of order.

Everything about our stay was great. The front desk person was extremely pleasant. Our only complaint is we reserved the room for the pool and jacuzzi which aren’t operational currently.

Came to Canon City to go river rafting. Hotel was 10 minutes away. Clean. Affordable. (Little dated). Pool was nice and warm. (Hot tub out of order).

The staff was very friendly. The room we stayed in had a mold smell, the carpet was very old (it had cigarette burn marks in it around the bed. One of the 2 beds was broke we wouldn’t sleep on it. The water in the bath would not turn off.

I give this motel 5 stars mostly because the staff /owners were so friendly and helpful. The property itself was clean, parking was easy. We were gladly given more pillows and towels. But the beds were a bit uncomfortable. And it was 90 degrees outside and the and the A/C unit was loud and didn't keep the room cool.

My stay overall was adequate at best. The room was as clean as it could be but most of the fixtures were way out dated and a few were in disrepair. There were ants crawling in and around the sink. the carpet was very stained and worn in spots. Same with the towels and linens. When I arrived to check in there was a sign on the front desk reading, "back in 30 minutes" no indication as to the starting time. Someone finally showed up 45 minutes from my arrival. This was not a good start. I will say the gentlemen working the front desk was pleasant to deal with and helpful. I would not recommend this as a good place to stay.

We drove as far as we cared too from Kansas City and decided to sleep here overnight before leaving early in the morning for Whitewater rafting the Royal Gorge. We were not looking for anything fancy, we just needed beds to sleep in. David at the front desk was incredible. Our mini fridge wasn’t working; we didn’t care, but we wanted him to know because of how nice and insistent he was to let him know of something was wrong. He said he’d fix it and we assured him we didn’t need it fixed (we used the forge in our kids room). He brought up a working mini fridge within ten minutes. He’s the reason for the 5 star review. I’ll gladly stay here again

We have not stayed at a Budget Inn since the early 1990s and I was leery what I would find. I shouldn't have worried! The hotel is easily accessible off of Highway 50, right behind the Burger King and KFC. The parking lot is spacious and you are able to unload under a carport. David behind the desk is a treasure as he recommended several places to eat, was concerned about other minor issues we had and otherwise was quite pleasant There is coffee in the lobby, no other food. Our room was pretty warm when we arrived and we never did figure out that it was controlled by a remote until an hour before we left. But that's not the hotel's fault. If you're looking for a family friendly base for exploring Cañon City give this hotel.a chance.

The owners are super friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and all appliances worked ( fridge, microwave and air conditioner). This hotel doesn’t have a breakfast in the mornin, but just across the parking lot is a Burger King

David at the front counter was very friendly, the beds were comfortable, and everything seemed clean. The place is somewhat rundown though, there was no coffee in the room and only bad coffee available in the lobby. The ice machine was also broken and although they did have a cooler with ice available, the cleanliness of that is questionable. Perfectly adequate for a short stay though.

The staff was very helpful. Anytime we needed something for the room we were able to get it easily. The staff was very friendly. The room for the most part was clean except for the fridge. There was food left in it from the previous guest. as soon as this was brought to the staffs attention, it was addressed. The window was broken and the smoke detector had a plastic bag over it. This was brought to their attention as we left. There was no breakfast and I felt that this was something that should be addressed as it would help in having more guest.

The rooms were very dirty, we looked at 6 and picked the least dirty of the 6. Several of the rooms were either misding refrigerators or microwaves. When we told the front desk person there was no fridge she said yeah, like she knew it was missing. I said I would like a fridge so she said let's look in a different room. We settled on one without a microwave. Breakfast had no protien options, not even a bagel with cream cheese or a yogurt. It dud have 2 cold cereal options and waffles. I will never stay there again.
