Econo Lodge Cortez near Mesa Verde

Nice spacious room and good breakfast, though billed as “continental,” was much better.

We checked in late, signage was helpful to lead me to kiosk to get my room key. Room was okay, shower still had soap remains on glass near the bottom. Front door frame had a bit of a gap that let cold air in. Luckily i was traveling with my brother so i felt safe but other wise probably wouldn't. Towels weren't as clean and noticed some had makeup residuals. Continental breakfast was kind of hidden, food choice wasn't the best but for the price i get it.

Parking was fine. The advertised breakfast was incomplete. Told what was there was it, at 7:30am...breakfast was over at 9:00am. Feel that was a let down.

The room was great. The bathroom was very tiny. You couldn't close the bathroom door unless you were straddling the toliet.

The bathroom floor was dirty and had obviously not been cleaned for some time. Obvious dirt and hair on the bathroom floor. The knob to the shower fell off twice, and it didn’t line up correctly with Hot/cold markings. There wasn’t a shelf or place for soap and shampoo so they had to be on the shower floor. There wasn’t a hot breakfast as advertised only generic cheerios and corn flakes. Then our key cards wouldn’t work after that “not so hot” breakfast. After this horrible experience, I doubt we will ever stay at EconoLodge again.
