Pam at the front desk was fantastic! The door to our room didn't fit properly. There was a gap of about a half inch between the door and the jamb at the top of the door. Although the hotel was supposed to be pet friendly, they really didn't have a place for pets to relieve themselves.

Exceeded expectations for over 8 of 10 customer rating for our king room in the two story unit. Only ping is that there is a large sign and room that says bending but there was nothing there so went across street to dq (better than vending)

Room was in newer updated section. Room was nice, but had to walk outside to breakfast. There was not enough space to eat breakfast so we had to take a plate back to our room. Not very convenient. Otherwise, a good stay.

Our key card worked for multiple rooms. Doors to building are not secure. Missing fire alarms and room smelled like toxic chemicals not cleaner's. Half the security cameras didnt work. We didn't even stay the night because of all this then. Then after all this they charged me more than one nights stay . Should be fully refunded for something like this. “DO NOT STAY HERE”

Good: Comfortable Bed, Breakfast was good. Needs Improvement: Parking for upper building is bad. If you are there after sunset, you will be parking before and walking to to your room. Reservation for handicap accessible room was not available when guest arrived. This caused two out of the three in our group to move to another hotel (which was horrible condition) Back door to the upper building doesn't lock. A/C unit is incredibly loud. Walks are paper thin, you can hear everything. Remodeled but old furniture still in use. Exhaust fan in bathroom is not secure.

When we arrived at the hotel (around 10:00) the doors to the lobby were locked, but the steward was there quickly. We found out that this is a multi location property, and we had to stay in the building on top of the hill. The parking was minimal, and full when we got there, so we had to park at the bottom of the hill in a different parking lot and take all of our luggage with us to our room. There were no elevators in our building, and no ground floor since it was a split level, so stairs had to be taken regardless of what level we were on. When we got in the room, it was very dirty. Hair, dust, and debris were along the perimeter of the rooms, settling heavily in corners and around the furniture. With the level of filth, I did not feel comfortable at all staying here, but we put up with it. Pillows were great. Bed was hard. Would not recommend anyone stay here until the property gets deep cleaned. The breakfast was good at least. Unfortunately that diddnt help the sour taste left by our experience. Attached is a picture of the filth by the fridge in the room. I could not capture a picture of the dirt around the room since it was very dim.

Our stay here was incredibly disappointing. The room was filthy — there was what looked like blood or ketchup on the wall, a dead spider smeared nearby, chewed gum behind the toilet, and grime and stains throughout. There were also what appeared to be Cheeto fingerprints on several surfaces. It honestly felt like the room hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. The beds were small, uncomfortable, and definitely not what you’d expect for the price. Breakfast was forgettable at best — definitely nothing to rave about. The only redeeming part of our stay was Pamela at the front desk. She was kind, hospitable, and very helpful — a true professional in an otherwise disappointing experience. There are other hotels in town, and I strongly recommend you consider one of them instead.

The facility has basement units with window air conditioner units. The window AC unit in the room we got was not working. Instead, a portable AC unit was in the room (the kind you can roll around). It was VERY noisy, and we couldn’t even hear the television, and I’m being totally serious. The outside of the facility was very trashy and dirty. The outside door to the building didn’t close,or latch. Seemed unsafe.

It was okay, decently clean, awkward layout with the majority of rooms in a two story building, requires going downstairs to basement rooms or up stairs to second floor. Windows on parking lot side of big building are very close to walkway and cars. Bed mattress was very firm, mattress cover for water proof/allergy but no mattress pad between mattress cover and sheet so rather hot and crinkly. Wifi was good for remote working. Ice machine in other building was finicky. Breakfast was typical hotel offering. Staff were very nice.

The property had been renovate recently. Adding Showers instead of Bathtubs. No carpet. The Bed frames are metal and noisy even when you sit on or stand up from the bed. Unit 217 The shower panel is loose and water is getting behind the panel in the shower.

Clean quiet room (except for the loud air conditioner). Lovely check in lady. Good shower. Good breakfast! We did not need to use the air conditioner as the room stayed cool once we cooled it down … but it’s loudness would have been a big negative if we had needed it through the night.

A very good breakfast raised this to a 4. The room was very clean. Being on the on the lower floor of the back section it was a little dark as the window was high up and level with parking. Tip, get a second floor room.

The new after hours kiosk check-in is ridiculous! The last thing I want to do after 12 hours on the road is have to find the kiosk, then call a number to get someone on the kiosk to login to check me in, the spend 15 minutes waiting for the process to take place. The property is unsafe as the doors do not lock on the entrances. There is no security or front desk person watching the parking lots. The rooms are dirty and the bathroom faucets are loose. Cortez in general has gone downhill and I’m lucky this is my last stay at this hotel.

HORRIBLE! We had a late check in and they were overbooked. I couldn’t open the door for the first room they sent us to; I thought it was just jammed, turns out it was occupied and I’m lucky I didn’t get shot because I literally pounded the door to try to open it! (The couple was much more polite than I would’ve been). The 2nd room had hair all over the shower floor and the toilet paper roll was crumpled up like someone took too much off and laid it back in the roll. It also had what appeared to be a camera on top of the tv! Lastly, the air conditioner didn’t work so we ended up going to another hotel. I will say that the lady DID call the motel down the street to help us but that’s the only good thing about this place!

We booked with the Quality Inn hotel but we’re roomed in the motel section extended stay. There were lots of men (seemed to be traveling workers) in the parking lot of entended stay past dark and my daughter and I did not feel safe going to our car or being in a motel type environment. The ladies that work the desk were great and the breakfast was really good.

It’s a decent option for an overnight stay. Clean, reasonably quiet, etc. However, the rooms, and especially the bathrooms, are too small for more than a couple people. Even just a couple people staying more than a couple nights could be a bit much. That said, it’s an economical option in a convenient location with good staff and decent breakfast.

The woman at the front was kind and helpful. The room was rundown. Surrounding area felt unsafe. Behind the hotel was what looked like a spot where a homeless person had been sleeping. Great location for going to Mesa Verde NP.
