Mercure Makkah Aziziah

Everyone was so friendly and polite. Mashallah, I love everything this hotel has to offer. Great restaurant setting, gym, shuttle to the mekah over 24/7 sechdule. Mashallah, I highly recommend it. It’s my first visit to an Arabic country after 22 years of living in the west. Mashallah, I will inshallah come here again. I am expanding my stay for another week in this great hotel.

My stay at Mercure was very good, the rooms are a very good size and they are very clean. Room service is great, there is a switch in your room that you must press to indicate that you want room service. Shoutout to Md Saddam for great service! The breakfast options are good, with fresh omelettes available to be made every day for you. Breakfast timings of 6:30-10:30 are also very good. The shuttle service is okay. The Masjid al-haram authorities decide where hotel shuttles will stop on a cycle of a few weeks. You can ask the receptionist which bus stop it will stop at. During your visit, if it stops at Kudi bus station, then take the shuttle as it is quite close. If it stops at al-gazzah station, then do not take the shuttle, the walk is very long. Nearly 30 mins from the clock tower, and in the heat it can get difficult. Instead, take the number 6 public transport bus that stops right outside the hotel to the haram, this is much more frequent and stops near the haram (7 min walk). Trying to get the shuttle can be stressful because of the fixed timings, the public bus was much less stressful as it came very regularly. If you’re looking for a budget friendly stay of high quality and don’t mind taking a bus, this is definitely the place to go.

I mainly booked the place because it has a gym that’s not working. Don’t get me wrong clean place and nice people but why there is a gym that’s not working. I was promised to for them to get it fixed. I was there for 4 days and it is still not working

The bus drops you off far- if it was a shuttle or something that takes you closer that would be great. The staff is okay, some good and some not so good, depends on who you get. This is my second time staying here, for the price it’s very good but you have to keep in mind that you’ll be paying anywhere from 10-20 riyal to go to Haram each time. To come back depending on the time, 15-30 riyal is what they can ask.

Hotel very nice, along with it's staff and service. The room has a mini fridge, really cold AC and a shuttle bus which took you back and forth from the Haram. The time is spaced out so if you want to come back at your own time then you would have to use a taxi (Uber). All in all, very nice and worth every penny.

I requested for early check in but they didn’t facilitate. Overall it’s a good hotel. Shuttle almost every hour which drops near ajiad tunnel which is 5 mins walk from haram. Driver at night is very rude, he would be late sometime and would check hotel card again and again which is irritating

The Buses leading to haram are a joke, they dont send to haram direclty, rather to another bus stop which then there are tons of people from a bunch of other hotels trying to catch the connecting bus. Also their schedule is another joke, sometimes its on time and sometimes not. If I knew how messy was this “bus to haram” thing I would of never booked there.

Ik heb er een top week gehad. Ontbijt helemaal prima en de shuttlebus service was uitstekend en reed stipt op tijd. Ook is er een bushalte voor de deur van het hotel waar je ook zo een taxi kan nemen. Goede service bij de receptie en overige personeel. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Shuttle service to haram,, helpful friendly courteous staff .large gym area, business centre, gift shop, .lunch and dinner also available at the hotel..not any eating places nearby. Was a mosque and bus stop opposite hotel. Thanks to everyone there.was a pleasant stay. .

Ils ont menti sur le fait qu’il y’a une piscine dieu merci j’ai pris que une semaine et l’autre dans un autre hôtel sinon je me serais fait rouler dans la farine j’ai pris pour faire jouer les enfants dans la piscine et ils ont rigoler quand je leur est dit où est la piscine ? Cet hôtel en plus est loin de tout y’a ni restaurant à proximité ni laverie ni épicerie , c’est une galère si c’était pas en période creuse impossible de trouver un taxi la bas mais la j’ai eu facilement après le hajj y’a pas de travail pour eux . J’ai eu l’eau qui sort de la douche , le ménage faut limite supplier pour qu’ils le fasse … au final je déconseille d’aller dans cet hôtel mise à part le confort et la propreté vous serez déçus du reste

It had a different smell, We booked 2 rooms next to each other but due to room smell the reception moved 1 room all the way on the other floor. The floor boys, cleaning boys no issue they are hard working and very kind. Its the upper management and the people on reception they dont even see if you are standing in front of them. No responsibility taken to give us 2 rooms on same floor no communication 😑

Not clean enough around the hotel

The cleaning service should be improved as I waked everyday found a rubbish through at the coridor and beside lift to be honest that was my first time to see such a thing in an hotel also breakfast should include more varities. Overall it was a good experience with value for money and I love that the hotel provide free transportation to Haram approximately every hour I consider the bus is the spirt for this hotel

It is in a convenient location, and the rooms are spacious.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room was spacious and very comfortable, and the price was very reasonable.

This property should be avoided at all costs! The front desk staff are incompetent and will pretend to be dealing with your issues when they actually are not. We had issues from the moment we arrived at the property. Although we had booked two rooms under the same reservation, the incompetent front desk staff could not find one of the rooms that we booked and made us wait for a good while in the hotel lobby, after we have had a long day of travelling. We were eventually provided with two key cards for two rooms but only to open one of the rooms and find out that the room was still occupied. We returned to the front desk to raise this issue and we were eventually given another room but it did not match the specs of what we initially reserved. The walls of the rooms are thin and you could hear people talking from other rooms and the bathroom facilities were inadequate. When we turned on the shower, there is an initial flow of hot water but this would quickly run out, and then we would have to finish our showers with cold water. There was always standing water in the shower tray and the water would overflow onto the bathroom floor and beyond making it very slippery and dangerous - both our rooms had to be attended by the maintenance team. There were 3 instances of the fire alarm going off and we were informed by the staff that these were as a result of people smoking in their rooms. Ultimately, we have had enough and cut our stay short and booked another hotel.

This property is affordable and the rooms are spacious.

The room were not in good condition, they were water damage stains on the walls and the bathroom had a leak under the sink. The bathroom was always wet. I was asked to pay during check in for the entire stay. If I left I would of Lost my money

New hotell, all things new, comfort, big rom.

To sum it up- it’s fair, biggest issue is communication and lack of empathy/flexibility from staff. So- firstly, the staff the people at reception and restaurant do not speak any English and it is hard for anyone who doesn’t speak Arabic to communicate with them. Even after translating via Google, they were simply unable to understand anything. Then when checking out, everyone was MIA at like 7:30am so I had to go and get a cart and load my luggage etc myself. The housekeeping staff was very good, the room was good but there was a smell of wet clothes because when you shower water goes everywhere and it would be better if the shower curtain wasn’t even there. Another issue is Careem/Uber, the pick up location is somewhere else even when you put the address of the hotel so everytime I called a taxi I had to struggle with them a bit.

Good hotel, with a huge mosque nearby which is very convenient. Staff are not great in communication. Overall a pleasant stay. Glad I was given an early check in.

Close to masjid harm. Good food friendly staff.

My wife and I stayed for 6 nights and then we extended our stay for another 5 nights, and it is one of the best hotels in this area that we stayed in during our Umrah trip. This hotel is a little far from Haram but the bus runs every hour and takes 10-15 minutes to reach Haram. Thank you for the excellent service, transportation, facilities, staff and everything is great, the rooms are absolutely comfortable and the lobby is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and you made our stay wonderful. We will definitely come back. I liked the affordability of the hotel and its breakfast. There was nothing to dislike.

Without notices, restaurant are out of services. Further no room services are available for meal.
