Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Florida City

Internet was intermittent at best. I complained both nights. It kept dropping out. When it did connect hit was so slow most of my connections would not open. It worked fine in reception but because they probably had a cheap low level router the signal was not strong en ought to reach the rooms. Useless. I requested a desk to work on. NO furniture except a sofa. I was promised a desk and a chair. Neither was supplied. There was not even a toilet roll holder in the bathroom. Just 4 holes in the wall. Nothing was done. This place needs closing down. It's a joke. A bad one. Do not book this "hotel".

The price was right on this property. For being close to Rte. 1, it was surprisingly quiet. The staff were quite rude, though. The room keys would quit working every night. The smoke detector had been removed from the room. There was a hole in the bathroom wall behind the toilet despite the room being recently remodeled. The bathroom smelled like mold. On the mirror was a complete list of charges for a laundry list of items you could be charged for, including $900 for a stuffed toilet. We did have hot water and a working refrigerator and TV though. The pool water looked clear, but there was mildew on the hand rails and sides of the pool. There was also trash around the pool. Be sure to ask them to check the room before you check out, so they don't charge you for anything afterwards.

This was a terrible stay. The windows have no glass, just wooden planks. The door to the room cannot be locked from the outside. There is no wifi. The hair dryer emits smoke. The bathroom tap is broken. I complained to the manager and asked for a refund but he refused. Never stay here again.

The floor was a dirty. My feet and sox got dirty by walking on it. There seemed to be mold in the corner of the shower. We were given towels on check in but that was only bath towels. There were no washcloths or hand towels and I had to ask for those. There was't a bath mat in the bathroom, which made me feel unsafe because I was worried about falling with my wet feet. The smoke detector wasn't working...It kept beeping. We took it to the office but were ever given another one. I really didn't like having to check in through a window on the outside of the building. There seems to be a nice big lobby so I should've been able to go inside. It was cold outside and it was hard to hear through the window because there was no speaker hole and the street noise is very loud. It was hard to communicate this way. The grounds looked a little dirty...I nearly stepped in dog poop in the parking lot. Parking was easy and the beds were comfortable however, I would have liked more pillows on the beds.

The lady who is in Morning is rude lady on the front desk in morning, She does not know how to talk, my wife asked if we can get tea anywhere nearby and she rudely says go and write complain if you have a complain, Lady you need to understand difference between asking for information and complaining. 2. Bath tub is all stained. 3. Only 2 dirty towels provided. 4. Dirty sheets and blankets (we always carry our own Sheets and Towels so were good) 5. TV does not even switch on and no action taken even after complaining. 6. Internet does not work (Unfortunately we had a booking for 3 days, so it's not like it was a temporary issue) We complained but no action taken. 7. Woken up by loud noise of people fighting (Thankfully only one day). 8. We stayed 3 days, Rooms were not cleaned any day.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The first night there were late night partiers and road racers, and we couldn't sleep. The pool was out of service. There was no breakfast (false advertising). They did not provide enough towels and when we went to ask for more, there was no one at the desk. The toilet and lights were also not working.

The key card worked as it should. The room has the AC off. I was all right with that for little while, but then sought to use it. I noticed the plug looked like international ones. So, I couldn't use the standard one against the wall. Luckily, my friend found the plug under the AC 5o this problem was resolved. They had a weird policy where any stains on towels and sheets would result in the deposit not being returned. I always thought there is a reason why they change and wash the linens and towels. Doesn't seem right for something that may well happen when using the towels. Also, they did not want people using the towels for the floor just out of the shower. To me, that's a safety concern here. The floors are of wood, and can be quite slippery if wet. Putting a towel or a rug would mitigate that. The location was good, with many places to eat and a WalMart and even a Home Depot within walking distance if you need it. One interesting feature is there are 2 sinks, a kitchen and a bathroom one. They did not have the morning coffee they said they provide. It'd be nice.

The room was clean. The people who worked there was friendly. I didn't use the pool but it looked clean. There was some broken glass by the pool. My remote didn't work. My hot water only worked sometimes. I had to use a shower in another room one night. However, I did relax during my stay and I did like to save $ on food because Aldi, Dollar Tree and Walmart were very closeby The buses were very closeby too.

Absolutely disgusting place. Filthy room, sounded like a critter (squirrel?) was in the wall. Ended up going to another hotel. Avoid this place!

broken crack pipe in corner of room, wash cloth with brown stuff on it, cloths left in room and several cockroaches one dead and several running around. Went back to office got my deposit back. Still working with expedia to get my money back.

Let me start by saying I've never experienced a room this awful and discusting in all my travels. For starters, there was no toilet seat on the dirty toilet, sheets were stained with yellow urine, microwave had crusty cakes on food from last person, dirty shirt still in garbage can, blunt wrappers in top drawer nightstand, AC only worked when lights were left on, had to unscrew all the bulbs to sleep, asked for different room they said sold out they had no more rooms. Brought us a toilet seat that was dirty and urine stains. Light fixture falling off the wall, hairs in the shower, paint chips all over the floor where it was peeling off the wall, top comforter smelled like stale urine, cabinet door hanging by one hinge and one screw. This room was absolutely not cleaned before renting to us. It is beyond the worst stay I've ever experienced. Do yourself a huge favor and don't book this hotel. You'll regret it as soon as you open the door. It's amazing to me that Hotel owners can get away with all these hazards and health code violations. Aren't they held to some sort of standard by hospitality businesses? If I can get the word out through this app expressing how awful this Hotel was then maybe someone will listen and changes will be made. Not everyone can book a $200 a night room. You hope you're getting quality when you book a less expensive room. This hotel failed on every level possible.

The room was not cleaned at all there was mold and mildew especially in the bathroom area. Found the mini refrigerator broken and full of mold. Shower curtain was stained up and brown withe blood stains as well as grime. Do not waste your time then only reason I was there is because there were no other available rooms anywhere else.

Dirty. Bed and sheets dirty. Switched to another. Still not clean. Both had broken security latches. Just deadbolt. Bad Smell

This hotel had used bottle of conditioner sitting on the counter, the bed sheets had rice and hair on them after pulling back the covers. The top cover had a huge pee stain on it. Along with the headboard, mattress and bed frame being stained and completely covered in who knows what. Then after coming home I noticed they had taken the $50 deposit out even though we left within 20 minutes of checking in, they did put it back in eventually but that was completely uncalled for. And when I tried getting my money back they ignored all contact from the party I booked with. The front desk didn’t even seem concerned or surprised on how it was when I described the condition.

Filthy hotel. Holes in walls and mold. Hair and stains on beds and people coming and going from next door and hanging in parking lot all hours of the night. We left in the middle of the night because we felt too uncomfortable and unsafe.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! No hot water, there were stains on the walls… maybe blood? My sheets had holes in them. The pictures on the Expedia page are a LIE. Drug dealing in the parking lot, my rental car did not have a locking cap and someone siphoned gas in the middle of the night. Just a total mess of a hotel. I repeat… DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The room was very dirty: there were leaks on the side of the toilet, same on the bed headboard. There were no pillows (only decorative pillows that smelled like old dirty hairs). The floor was dirty. The bath mat was so stained it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. There was no handle on the vanity faucet. The hair dryer was broken and smelled like it was burning. We asked for washcloths and they didn't have. Otherwise, the outside is cute and looks like a small campsite.

Blood in the room, totally nasty....dont work the door...

I checked in at approx 9:09pm. Got the key & a remote and went to get settled. Upon entering the room, it smelled off. But I was willing to look past it until I found mold in the bathroom. I took a photo at 9:11 pm and went to the front desk and showed the image of mold to the clerk, asking for a different room. She didn’t speak to me, but quickly gave me a key & remote to a different room on the other side of the property. When entering there was an extremely strong floral scent, the kind that smells like it’s covering something up. My husband then located 2 spent bug bombs in the room, as well as live roaches on the side tables and bed. We took photos at 9:18, and immediately left to the front desk to cancel the stay and ask for a refund. She refunded the second night. But we were refused a refund for the first night, even though we were only there for 10 minutes between 2 rooms that were grossly below any reasonable health standard to expect- even from a cheap motel. I’m appalled, disgusted, and wish I could share the photos here.

Our room looked as if it was undergoing renovation. No lamp shades, mirror in the room had a broken frame, the toilet paper holder broken, no glasses, only 1 hand towel, no hot water - unable to shower, no hand soap, television had no signal, air conditioner cover was falling off and one knob was missing so unable to set a temperature, bathtub was painted on the bottom to hide something??, shower curtain was too short to fit inside of the tub so if a shower had been able to be taken the water would have ended up on the floor, and the toilet seat was the wrong size for the toilet, and there were also holes in the walls in varying places.

The shower was leaking water and there was a piece of wall missing from the bathroom. We asked to be moved from the room and they refused. No water for at least 10 hours.and the office did not notify us... When ithe water was restored it was only the cold water.. Nonhot water at all.

Nothing worked in the room. Toilet seat broke. Toilet didn't flush, tv didn't work. Phone didn't work. Toilet paper dispenser broken. Suspicious people lurking in the shadows. Never returning.

First, the door lock was very hard to deal with and the door was stuck. There were only 2 bath towels. At the check-in desk there was a sign "do not use towels to clean the floor" which I thought was odd. Until I walked in the room with bear feet! It was disgusting! The bed sagged in the middle and was uncomfortable. The TV was hung crooked.

Apparently, this place is under new management. they say they serve breakfast no breakfast to be seen. I have photos of the room no curtains AC working very badly. No water they have excuses for everything. Oh no TV and they still charge you full price once they tell you that no we’re gonna charge you less but they still charge me price and deposit was supposed to be returned and never did so I’m extremely unhappy with this place

The front desk lady was EXTREMELY rude, no manners whatsoever. Not accommodating at all! The room is dirty and the tv doesn’t work. When I got here after paying the price for the room she wanted a $50 deposit in CASH! When I told her I didn’t have any cash she told me I could use the atm in the lobby to pull the cash out and then took her sweet time to unlock the door for me, then scolded me for not reading signs that lobby was closed. I’m surprised this location is still open to be honest.

We actually did not get to stay at the Econolodge. When I booked, I chose the 'book now, pay later option'. I entered my debit card and intended to pay with my credit card at the location. I was told when I reserved that my card would not be charged until we got to the hotel. Fast forward to our travel day...the hotel called me because my debit card did not work, and then cancelled my room before I could respond. When they called, I was on the airplane and not able to answer or call back. When we landed, I called back and the front desk person informed me they cancelled our room. My reservation clearly states that I would be expected to pay at property, but I never got the chance. I called hotels.com and they called the hotel and told me all was well. When we arrived that was not the case, and we were forced to find alternative accomodations. In addition, both staff members we interacted with were rude and dismissive. When we arrived at EconoLodge the front desk attendant actually locked us out of the lobby while we contacted hotels.com. We were treated so poorly by that property. However, hotels com staff was awesome and helped us find a new place to stay at 8pm in the evening. We will never stay at another EconoLodge.

If I could give this place a zero, I would. The ONLY positive thing was the cleaning g lady was super friendly and responsive. I travel with my elderly disabled mother who has a service dog. When I told them at check-in that she had a service dog, they asked for papers, which I believe under the ADA and Florida statute. They cannot ask that and when I did not provide, they made me pay $75. Of course, I stated the law and he said he is allowed to ask for it very rude so of course, I got a receipt and had him hand right on there that he demanded to see paperwork and made me pay a fee. I will not be returning to this place price definitely not worth it.

Estuvo bien, accesible, limpio. No me gusto que habia carros en el estacionamiento con la musica demasiado alta en la noche.

Any Real man would love the place, everthing , nextdoor, Texas Roadhouse, Harbourfreight and Home Depot!

El lugar tenía mal olor las camas en realidad muy duras sabrás muy muy antigua debes de remodelar aunque sea la cama y las sábanas pero el lugar alrededor fue perfecto porque había muchas muchas tiendas para comer y comprar cosas personales pero el hotel como tal es amplio pero debe de remodelar un poco como comento las sábanas muy antiguas la cama muy dura y cuando llegué el aire acondicionado estaba apagado o sea que el lugar estaba lleno de mucha humedad y eso cría mal olor

However, there are people outside super loud talking and playing loud music at night late night till early morning and was annoying since I was there just for a peaceful sleep before hitting the road early

Séjour horrible : fenetres remplacées par des plaques en bois !!! Refus de nous changer de chambre. Très sale. Prises de courant hors service. Serviettes de bains avec des traces noires. Et un aquarium avec de l'eau croupie dans la chambre, incroyable. Plus rien à manger au petit-déjeuner alors sue nous sommes arrivés à l'heure. Vraiment un séjour catastrophique.

No es nada como aparece en las fotos nos prometieron camas Queen no hubo camas Queen nos prometieron un desayuno el desayuno era sólo panes empacados y café no sabía a café era agua negra, viaje con dos niñas y mi esposo. Había gente fumando marihuana cigarrillo y tomando alcohol en un espacio abierto al público donde habían menores de edad a pesar de qué de las advertencias que no se podía fumar ni beber en ese sitio. Hubo ruidos en la noche: tipos bajo efectos de sustancias psicoactivas y tuvo que hasta que llegar la policía a ver qué es lo que estaba sucediendo. Es un sitio peligroso, llegó un tipo ofrecernos unas medias y quería entrar a la habitación. Nunca vinieron a hacer aseo y mucho menos a cambiar las sábanas o toallas. Tuvimos que dejar la puerta abierta por el olor a humedad que había en la habitación y un habitante de calle intentó entrar.
