They decided to jackhammer one of the hot tub during our late June vacation. At the same time tree trimmers were using chainsaws to trim the palm trees around the pool. It was the opposite of relaxing and was not an enjoyable experience. The chairs on the beach also don’t come with umbrellas without a $32 daily charge.

We love it here! We got lucky and stayed here one night a few years ago and now it’s our go-to place after cruising. Every amenity you could ask for, friendly staff, beautiful grounds, right in the beach. We will probably never stay anywhere else.

Very nice hotel on the water! Staff is friendly and helpful! The room was clean but the halls needed to be vacuumed. There’s construction going on which is a good thing and it wasn’t to interrupting except three out of the six elevators were out of service. Overall great stay!

This place has it all! Number one for us was that the resort is actually right on the beach and has a big pool with tons of chairs; around the fort lauderdale beach area, most of the hotels require walking across the “strip” (a relatively busy road) to get the the beach and then it’s more of a crowded public beach. This place was at the southern part of fort lauderdale beach and a bit quieter than being right on the strip. Plus there’s a beach bar and beach runners to bring you drinks, snacks or lunch while you’re at the beach! If you prefer the pool, it’s big and has another poolside bar and restaurant up in that area too (plus a nice juice bar, starbucks and formal restaurant off the lobby). Our teens loved the beach volleyball, cornhole and table tennis on property as well as a poolside movie on the evening of Easter sunday. Lots of umbrellas by the pool and beach as well to take a break from the sun when needed. Staff was always friendly, it was pretty crowded so wait time for food and drinks increases with numbers by the pool but that’s to be expected. Enjoyed our stay entirely!

The room was dirty such as the floors. There were German roaches along with their regular palmetto bugs. I had found a dead in my room and one alive. My friend had them crawling all over her room and switched 3 times. All the rooms she had were infested much worse than mine. Very disturbing.

The room looked great, but once I stepped into the Bathroom, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned from the previous customer. The Toilet had Hair all over it. Very Nasty. If they can stay on top of their cleanliness issue. The Hotel would actually be quite decent.

The stay was not good, the bed sagged and the room was dirty. The shower had mold all over it and the fire alarm lights kept going off in our room during the day woth bright lights flashing every second for over an hour

The lobby and the outside amenities at the hotel were great - very comfortable and clean. However the room itself left a lot to be desired. The beds were very small and incredibly hard. After two nights my back and hip hurt so much I was hobbling around the next day. The floors in the bedroom was all tiled which I guess makes sense at a beach but there was sand on the floor from the previous guests and it kept getting stuck to our feet. The floor in the room had a number of dirty spots that needed to be mopped up from previous guests. I looked out our window to see a pair of underwear that had fallen (or been tossed) outside into the garden from someone previous. The window was unbelievably dirty (on the inside) so I tried to avoid looking out it. There was an ice room on our floor with a microwave that was so appallingly dirty (floor was gross and microwave was coated in grease all on the outside - I couldn’t bear to touch it to look inside) that I forbade my kids and husband from getting ice at all during our stay. The benefits of this property are that the pool area is large and nice and being on the beach is great with chairs for each guest (you must rent an umbrella). The beach is clean and combed. There are also some other nice beach games available. It’s really all about the outside amenities here. The staff were nice. The room itself needs to be spruced up to match other Marriott properties that we’ve stayed at.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. We stayed for a week and really enjoyed the pool, ocean and breakfast buffet. Two things that could have been approved was give free bottled water in room instead of charging $8 per bottle however I did appreciate the free fruit infused water throughout the resort. The other charge that I thought was steep was the umbrellas at the beach. The loungers are free however $25 a day for the umbrellas I felt should have just come with the chairs. Also this resort is not real walkable to the boardwalk or restaurants. But we loved all the transportation options available. We road the golf carts frequently. The staff was very nice and helpful. We loved this resort and the area around it. Always felt safe. Some of the restaurants we visited were some of the best food my husband and I had ever had. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is good for families who want to stay on property and enjoy the pool and the beach. It is hard to get a good sun lounger and the hot tub was out of action for our stay. The room cleaning situation is not up to hotel standard. Our room was only serviced at 6:00pm each day. This meant the room was not made up for the duration of our stay which was very unpleasant. I would say it's fine for a short stay, but by the end of our 4 nights we were ready to leave. Front of house and valet services were good.

The hotel held a wedding one night, and the next morning there was vomit all over the exterior walkways , and it remained there for the duration of our stay. In general not a very clean and kept up place for the cost

Our stay started off a bit rocky as we were given a room on the 2nd floor which had no view, smelled musty and the bathroom was very outdated. The next morning I asked for a room on a higher floor w/an ocean view & the staff accommodated our request with no problem. Our new room was beautiful, updated & we had an amazing view of the ocean. The beach & pool were amazingly gorgeous & the staff was amazing & VERY accommodating!! One major downside was that they were doing construction at the hotel and we were woken up almost every morning between 8:00 am & 9:00 am by loud banging and drilling 😡. Other than that we had an amazing stay.

This was the noisiest place I’ve ever stayed. We arrived mid afternoon after a lengthy drive looking forward to a nap. Construction was taking place outside our room . I did not even attempt a nap. We headed to bed at 10:00 pm and the room next to us had very noisy kids until 11:15.so much for quiet time. The property was very nice.

Came for a conference and had a great stay. All of the meals were amazing, the service outstanding, and the staff always helpful. The one downside of this property (which may deter me from coming back despite the positives) was the lack of cell service and weak WiFi. Both my phones on T-Mobile and Verizon had no service in my room and it took me calling their IT support to hardwire my computer to the internet for that to work, and even that, slowly. Both worked decently well outside of my room and in the conference space, but not having it in my room was difficult to manage with work.

The view of my room that I have paid extra for is unavailable for use, in which there was a balcony that was still under fixes. There were disturbances from the noise outside in the morning that are from the ongoing renovations, however that is valid. The room is dirty and there was hair all over upon arrival, there was also no room service/housekeeping thus making me have to go to the lobby to ask for cleaning. I honestly don’t recommend this place, it’s unfortunate that I can’t rate this any lower.

Very professional staff, bed was not comfortable felt like rolling hills, extra charges for everything, food in restaurant just ok, I did like the pool area and private beach, the room was good sized however not worth the cost, I’ve stayed in Turks and Caicos at least 5x and it was more affordable there with more for the buck. The resort is nice with a pool and really large beach. The service, especially by the reception and management is horrible. I had a very rude encounter at check-in, staff was very unprofessional and rude. No one greets, no one smiles, no hello, they just try to make excuses or point to hotel policy to show why they can't provide you with good service. The resort does not try to give great customer service, it appears to be run like a standard city hotel that will do the bare minimum. Pretty much everything is overpriced ($9 coffee and $20 for a kids meal pasta) and there are extra charges for almost everything. Though they charge a hefty resort fees, you have to pay extra for a basic resort amenity like umbrellas on the beach. No one even told us what is included in the resort fees, and we found out together other guests. Rooms feel like they have cheap furnishings and don't really feel high quality. On the good side, it is a large property, pool was a lot of fun, and the beach is extremely large. We were in a suite which was very spacious with a separate bedroom, sofa bed, dining table. Great for a family. Overall it felt more like a city hotel than a vacation destination resort.

The staff were accommodating and friendly. Facilities were top notch, only the Sea Level Restaurant needs work with being outside after dark. The Breakfast restaurant is outstanding, will definitively visit again

The beach being private was great the general property was well set out but needs upgrading the seating was ready to be replaced the Starbucks was very unfriendly and very expensive the rooms were not cleaned well the balcony floor was loose and dangerous The staff around the pool and restaurant were more friendly the reception was very unhelpful and unfriendly

Drinks in the swimming pool area were not good at all. Service is very poor in the pool and beach areas. It seems there is not enough people to help the guests. Food menu is average with the exception of the Ocean Restaurant. It took 6 hours for someone to show up to fix the TV. A very good thing is the set up of the hotel: on the sand, nice pool and beach transition.

After spending over $500 a night, I was extremely unhappy because the room was not as cold as I like. I tried to call the front desk but had no success. I must be honest and say, I have stopped at hotels that were half the price but I was extremely satisfied.

The location of the resort to the beach was perfect and the Uber and Lyft driver access to the front of the resort was excellent. Local restaurants and activities make the resort a wonderful place to spend some quality time with that special someone.

There was nothing to do within walking distance of hotel. The hotel had beach & pool activities but no other restaurants, bars in surrounding area, so you had to get rides or rent a car to do anything else. Even shopping was a 15-20 minute car ride. But an i real great place

The beach was really nice and there were plenty of beach chairs. The restaurants were good. The staff was so-so, the lobby was really small and the pool was average. The pool was fairly small for the size of the resort and pretty crowded. The elevators kept breaking and there were lines for the elevators. The gift shop prices were absolutely ridiculous, as were the water bottle prices. They apply random charges to your credit card each day which I was told would drop off afterwards. The location was good and close to the port.

The beach was so beautiful! I will be back. You can count on that. This resort really put Ft Lauderdale beach back on the map for me. I can't wait to visit once the construction / rehab process is complete. But, with that said, it was still a nice visit even with the occasional inconvenience from the construction. One small piece of feedback that I would give is to expand the Riva restaurant if possible? The breakfast offered was actually quite nice. But, it was very very crowded. Perhaps breakfast could also be offered at the other restaurants?

Nice location for a couple of nights before a cruise. We were able to walk a little bit south on the beach and see cruise ships leave. Pool area and staff was very nice. We didn’t have a car and food was very expensive on site so that was a little tricky, but overall a great place to stay!

The best part about this hotel is the private beach. The added bonus was the great customer service. The extra two cents was definitely the good food. I will be returning. Unfortunately, due to the weather we didn’t get to enjoy the amenities as we hoped. My only suggestion is that the rooms should be nicer for the price coming from someone who noticed the details. Walls, headboards and ceiling could use some upgrades. Overall, this is a nice property.

Property has nice features and amenities. However the staff isn’t great, reliable or helpful. The beach crew is great. One bartender at 3030 was also great. The spa staff wasn’t that friendly. Supposed to have drink and food service at the private spa pool, and didn’t. Worker didn’t show for shift, wasn’t replaced by anyone - so you had to walk about 400 yds through the lobby to another pool area to get anything. Really devalued the spa area and experience. The sea level bar had awful service. Slow, inattentive, unfriendly. Dining options are decent though food and drink wise. The location is not walkable go anywhere else. Have to drive out or take an Uber. Fire pits weren’t lit ever, spa doesn’t offer champagne or any fun benefit. Rooms were nice. It’s a nice place overall, but the staff and execution brings it down. Oh and our room balcony was under construction, so we couldn’t use our ocean front balcony at all. No warning this would be an issue when booking. They have a us a credit for the inconvenience - but I would have booked elsewhere had I known that ahead of time.
