Comfort Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport South & Cruise Port

Breakfast was pretty decent. I liked that they changed their egg entrees and yogurt flavor each morning. The coffee is dreadful. Please invest in better coffee. Also, there were only apples for the fruit option for all three days we were there. Waffle machine was great. Staff at breakfast never smile or seem happy. Running the airport shuttle only until 11pm didn’t work for us as our flights to FLL are usually late. Running it 24 hrs would be convenient for everyone.

Picked this hotel for the pool and it was closed!

Staff was courteous, we called early in the day to inquire about checking in early. They were able to accommodate the early check in. The airport shuttle was on time and efficient.

The gentleman at the night reception was nice spoke to us every time we came around . Helped us with are needs. Was welcoming. I didn’t know that the gym was at the sister hotel Cambria down the street I would have just booked with them. Also the pool at the comfort suite was greenish so we would go to the cambria because it was clear.

Convenience of shuttle from Airport and to cruise ports. The staff was helpful. Well lit sidewalks and cross walks to shopping areas and restaurants 4/10 of a mile away. No in hotel restaurant or bar. Convenience nook

It was nice to be able to catch a shuttle to our cruise port. You just sign up for a time, they pick you up and you pay the driver directly.

The only issue I had was that one of the elevators was not working, which caused traffic and the wait was a bit longer than usual

Not happy with transportation from airport to hotel. it took us 2.5 hours. Management didn't care. Wouldn't recommend Kk0 2.5 hours

I love staying ar Comfort Suites. It close to Dania Pointe so its lots of options fir dining, entertainment and shopping. The only thing missing at the property is a gym. Guests should not have to go next door

It's OK the room was not at all clean

The only positive experience we had was that they allowed us to check I. Early after our cruise so our three kids, including two with special needs, had a place to be out of the weather. After that, it was all awful. The elevators were out of date on inspection and still moved after the doors opened, unlevel with the floor. Once we reached our floor it smelled wet and musty. I get it. It’s Florida. It’s humid. But this was a very thick air, and felt slimey. We reached our room and the smell was sickening. We used an entire bottle of febreeze with no relief. After searching for the smell, we found the air conditioner seemed to be putting out a lot of humidity. It wasn’t a clean air smell. The curtains in 416 were covered in mold from the air conditioner blowing on them. The room had not been swept. We didn’t complain because we did get in early so we just thought they cut corners cleaning. But cThe trash cans were sticky. There was a dead roach in the sink. Crumbs on carpet. Couch smelled like urine. The blankets on the bed were torn on the bottom side and my foot got caught. I woke up to go to the bathroom in the dark and there were live roaches all over the place. We booked this hotel for the early morning transportation to the airport. However, someone at the desk canceled our service. And the driver didn’t want to take us. We confirmed this at check In. Best of all. We got home and were charged twice. Never again. Also because you asked, there’s no close beaches.

Our room had a small roach in the bathroom… ugh . I truly hope i did not bring any bugs with me home. Also, the breakfast area had alot of ants. Way to ruin one’s appetite. Overall, it was a cheap last minute hotel— our flight got canceled and this was close by. But its likely I will never stay here again— id rather pay a little more for a cleaner hotel with no roaches or ants.

I would have given a 5-star rating, but my door card always had problems. Despite multiple trips to the front desk to get it fixed, it never worked consistently. My room had blood stains on the carpet and sofa. When I opened the sofa bed, the cushion had a blood stain on it, as if it had been flipped over to hide it. This was incredibly gross. However, the lobby and surrounding areas were very clean. It was also frustrating to have to walk around the entire building because my key card only worked intermittently.

Stayed here before our cruise and I would stay here again. The hotel overall was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. They offered breakfast which was a plus. The location was close to a few restaurants and shopping centers.

The room smelled like mold. Very dirty. Dirty bed covers. Dirty shower. The staff was not the most friendly.

Mostly it was nice but the pool area was dirty the pool water looked murky, and people were smoking around the pool. There were several guests and staff that had bad language around my 6 year old that was anoying. The room was nice and spacious. The air-conditioning worked but was noisy

My family and I had a good time at Comfort Suites. The only complaint we can mention is the soundproofing of the rooms. We could hear all kinds of noises in our room (moans, gasps, laughter, conversations). When traveling with minor children, this type of noise can be a bit disturbing and even embarrassing. Otherwise, the hotel is very well located and close to many options from shopping to entertainment that can be done by foot. The hotel staff is very friendly and always ready to help with any inconvenience.

Comfortable beds!! We stayed here twice this year and planning to stay in the future.

Very friendly staff. The manager Zack was outstanding in addressing our needs during the stay. Rooms get cleaned every three days if you go on prolonged stays. Requests to clean are granted per clients request

I wouldve given a higher rating but I was there for 5 days and was told that there would be no housekeeping services until the 3rd day I then asked them to change the towels and make the bed for me and the two ladies at the front desk said they would relay the message and to my surprise nothing was done when I came back in and they daid there was a shortage of towels and they would come the following day and provide me with some light servces and they never came the following day as well. If you like being lied to by front desk no room service and reusing dirty hotel towels then this place is for you.

The staff was not very helpful. Was rude about asking for water with no lemon due to an allergy. When we talked to them about shuttle service to the airport the night before needing the shuttle, they told us what time the shuttle left but never told us we needed to put our names down. I assumed since we asked they would know to put us down but then in the morning we were not listed and the staff member was super rude about it.

Everything was AMAZING. Especially the front desk staff always pleasant and ready to help with any issues you may have.

When we arrived from the airport to check in there was about six other families waiting to check in. They only had one guy behind the counter checking everyone in AND answering phones. He handled himself very well but come on Comfort Suites…. Do better staffing your facility.

Every was amazing until we get to the airport and I called to the hotel about the shuttle and the guy told me is until 11pm and we were at 11:30pm and in the web page doesn’t say anything about that. We just booked this hotel because of the airport shuttle. When we arrived with uber to the hotel the person at front desk didn’t apologize and he said they have to fix the info in the web page he can’t do anything about that. Very disappointed

The breakfast is completely simple, the breakfast worker all the time with a displeased face. At 9:30, as the breakfast is over, she turns off the light and the TV, people are still sitting and haven't finished their breakfast yet. When you come back after a whole day outside, there is coffee/tea in the dining room area, but the TV and the light are off, the only TV that works is the one in front of the reception desk, on the weather channel, there is not much to talk to there, they are really not nice.

The room was very clean the bed was comfy. The front desk was very friendly. The only thing was the breakfast the eggs were watered down . No toast , coffee was terrible .

Overall the stay was good. Be mindful that breakfast is busy at this hotel and get there as early as you can for a table. Check in and check out was fast and easy. Our only complaint was with the deodorizer they use was so strong that my mother, who has COPD, had difficulty breathing in common areas. This was only a problem in the evening and would dissipate overnight. We enjoyed our stay, but we will not stay again as I cannot knowingly put my mother through that experience again. If the hotel switches to a deodorizer that isn’t so harsh we would stay again.

I stayed from the 12th to the 19th of August, and the same items were on the menu every morning.

Property very clean. Breakfast was great everyday. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Front desk staff very helpful and nice. Will certainly be back.
