Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel

Pool had green algae was not brushed needed more chlorine. Renovation was going on too.

I loved the convenience for pre cruise. The shuttle service to the ship was excellent. I will be back.

Only problem was getting out of the parking. At 30$ a day, it should be easyer.

Conveniently located near the port and not far from the Brightline Train Station. Also, provides shuttle service to your cruise ship for a nominal fee. Nice pool and hot tub, comfortable room.

The check-in was delayed by an hour, even though it was scheduled for 4 PM. There was not even any sort of upgrade or compensation for that delay. The bathroom sink was clogged. The food is mediocre, the lounge is full of kids playing ball. The pool is miniscule. The gym is mediocre. The staff is inattentive in particular, the desk staff at the reception. Very thinly staffed.

Lovely place but being so close to a main intersection meant it was very noisy to sit out by the pool

My room key did not work when I tried to get back into the facility through the garden terrace. It didn't work in the elevator either. The jacuzzi was not operating . The remote control in the room was not working either. The coffee machine didn't work either. Very poor experience. Definitely disappointed. This is the second time staying at a Marriott Bonvoy and things did not work properly. My last stay was at the facility in Pleasanton California and things didn't work there either. I won't be staying at a Marriott Bonvoy facility again.

Your pool area is to small

A hurricane disrupted the power supply temporarily during checkin. The elevators were out of order so we had to carry our luggages up to the third floor. Room was rather dated but comfortable enough. Breakfast buffet was simple. There is a shuttle service to the cruise terminal e dry 30 minutes on cruise departure dates at $8 per person.

Location and services were fine but ... No freezer in fridge, the shower was like pins and needles and they charge $30 to self park plus one of they elevators was out of order.

The hotel was renovated recently but is badly taken care of. The carpets in the main traffic areas Are very dirt. The main lobby and hallways were not clean. The service at the bar was very slow and the staff weren’t hospitable. I would not recommentd this property.

Room was dirty, sheets didnt fit properly, bathroom was very dirty. If you like to party stay here loud music and doors banging loud voices till 5am

All around needs help. Incompetent and not enough staff to support customers, room was just dirty and not because it wasn’t ready it just is dirty and needs BLEACH! Wouldn’t recommend

Perfect location for pre cruise stay. Rooms were clean, spacious and clean.

It is to overprice and not extremely clean, on our floor there was two big bags of sheets and towels in the hallway all night and dirty q-tips and wrappers on the floor. And for 500$ a night we didn’t know that breakfast wasn’t included and that was another 60$. Would not stay here again.

We were very happy with the cleanliness of this hotel. Thumbs up to the cleaning staff who were friendly as well. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Clean property close to airport and port Everglades. Small pool with dated umbrellas. Rooms were updated. Perfect for short stay.

Staff was kind and wonderful. I was charged twice for my stay, but it was fixed quickly. The shower in our room was AWFUL and never fixed or offered to switch rooms. The water pressure about took our skin off. Room was dirty and when asked for more towels we were told no.

Room was great except air conditioning leaked water onto the carpet.

There for a pre-cruise night. Ugh. Musty smelling room, awful mattress and bedding, elevators that didn’t work so you either had to take stairs or hope to use freight elevator when possible. The whole place just looked super tired and sad. I went in with low expectations and even those weren’t met. Glad it was for one night.

Our room was across from the ice machine and people used it all night long. A lot of door slamming. Our upstairs neighbors were very loud.

Rooms were dated and mattress was terrible. Fine for one night before a cruise.

Everything is great, the property is a little old but it can be comfy.

The convenience of leaving our car right at the hotel while on our cruise was great. The shuttle to the port was reasonable and efficient. Our room was a little dated as it hadn’t been renovated yes. We were on the 11th floor. Would definitely stay there again if taking a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale.

The property looked nice from the front and the lobby was clean and spacious with lots of seating. We found our room to be dark - limited lighting, no overhead lighting, and limited areas to plug things in with no USB ports in the rooms at all.

Our room was spacious and in very good condition, except that the lighting was poor, especially in the bathroom. The pool area was right next to the busy and very loud roadway. The restaurant had pricy and limited menu items, but did offer a convenient way have a meal. The best feature was probably a convenient location next to Port Everglades and the airport, but at a high nightly rate.

My stay at the Renaissance Hotel was okay. The staff was very nice and welcoming, which made the experience more pleasant. However, the rooms could definitely use some upgrades, as they felt a bit dated. Overall, it was an adequate stay — friendly service was a highlight, but improvements to the rooms would really elevate the experience.

Woefully understaffed at the restaurant - one poor man being the bartender and waiter for 20 people. And the kitchen was no help - my salad had 5 ingredients listed on the menu and only the last two were on the plate. And no blow dryer in the room and when I advised the front desk, I was told there were guests without blow dryers in their room. Dismal for $500 Cdn for one night

Check in was smooth, the hotel pool was nice-great for the kids. They have a hot tub my boyfriend liked. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions. Not dirty clean. Overall staying here was great.

The front desk service is inconsistent. The front desk lady who checked me in was rude. She was busy arguing with her colleagues and didn’t greet me, didn’t tell me where is my room, how to get to the elevator, etc. On the other hand, when we checked out, the gentleman at the front desk was very polite and pleasant!

We are so glad we stayed at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel! Gigi at the front desk was AMAZING! She provided excellent customer service and is chiefly responsible for making our stay so great! Thank you! We'll be back!

We were delayed getting to the Hotel for check in due to traffic. I spoke with the manager around 2pm on day of check-in and they stated there would be no problem getting there later. We got to the property later that night and they gave our room away to someone else. We were left without a hotel room due to this happening. We will tell everyone we know never to book at this property in the future.

A guest across the hall from my room was banging on the door from 3:30 am until 5:00 am. We called the front desk and they were no help. They refused to stop the woman or have her removed. There was also a safety issue due to the fact that you could not access the floor without a key, yet this woman was able to access without a key. I had to change hotels and the property manager refused to refund my money.

Hotel was mostly ok. Except quite understaffed. The room hadn’t been completely prepared. No soap at sink for hands. No hair dryer. Could have used another towel. With note, they did provide soap for sink the next day. Didn’t notice missing hair dryer until that second day so mentioned to front desk when checking out. Did have a friend in another room find a half eaten hamburger on shelf in bathroom. So clearly, attention to detail and cleaning checklist is desperately needed.

Reservations got messed up and we did not have them like we thought. We tried to fixt this at the front desk but they have this INSANE RULE that the Front Desk will not take a walk in reservation. THEY ACTUALLY MADE ME GET OUT OF LINE AT THE FRONT DESK AND USE MY PHONE TO BOOK A ROOM INSTEAD OF TAKING MY RESERVATION AT THE DESK. No one was in line behind me but the hotel was almost hostile about helping me. We stayed the night before and we had boat trouble and had to stay another night. It was so RUDE and inconsiderate that the front desk would not help us and made us stay in the lobby and book our room on our own. I booked the 5 rooms then got back to the front desk and gave the clerk my resveration number and she helped me like that was normal. I sware I thought I was in a Saturday Night live skit. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND POLICY!!! I will NEVER EVER stay at this hotel again.

The property was comfortable and clean. The restaurant and bar were great with very good service. The woman at the front desk was rude and not at all a pleasure to deal with. We chalked it up to a bad day but could have done without the issue. I will stay here again, we did enjoy our stay!

Stayed overnight prior to a cruise… other than the 4:00 check-in which seemed really late to us- the stay was everything we wanted! The front desk staff were so helpful, bell staff were so accommodating and the lobby restaurant for breakfast were nicely attentive. Shuttle to the cruise port was a plus! The accommodations were perfect for our needs. We would stay again if cruising out of Ft. Lauderdale.

Was a great experience. Near ports for cruiseships, $9/pp shuttle to the port, easy to arrange once present at hotel. Enjoyed the pool. Walgreens across the street for any 'sundries' or pre-cruise needs. We didn't get to walk much but there seems to be some ice cream and shops nearby

Great property that was very convenient to the cruise port

I was very disappointed in the lack of services such as no room service unless we asked for it. The room itself was not clean. The people that worked there didn't seem to be willing to offer any services and in fact when i asked questions at the desk the response was "I don't know" We had to go out to eat, the restaurants had limited hours.

Overall a very nice hotel at a reasonable price. Perfect for us, a quick ($20) taxi ride from the airport; and walking distance (or $8 shuttle ride) from Port Everglades to board our cruise. Close to groceries, pharmacy, several restaurants - easy walking to all of these to pick up any essentials you need while in the area, and lots of restaurants at various price points. The hotel itself was lovely, clean, room was nice and large, and it was a quiet stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, we were able to check-in 5 hours early ($25), which was super convenient. Continental breakfast buffet was delicious, lots of options, hot & cold. On site restaurant for dinner was reasonably priced, with good, delicious options. 2 minor issues - the Guest Wifi went down within a couple of hours of us arriving and remained down for the rest of our stay (which was one night - it went down mid-afternoon and stayed down until the next day at noon, at least, which is when we left). Only one of 2 elevators was working when we arrived, and by the next morning both elevators were down. Thankfully the service elevator was working, and the staff were great to ensure we knew about it and were able to use it with ease. Again, both were minor issues, and hopefully resolved soon. The staff did say they were in the process of refurbishing the entire hotel, especially the elevators.

The service in the bar and restaurant was extremely slow for food. The food was good quality once it arrived, but one of the older servers is clearly disinterested in her position, and is not hesitant to let it be known. The rest of the staff we encountered were professional and friendly.

Everything was good with the stay at the property. The amenities were great and the breakfast was 10/10. Even though the young lady on morning shift was very rude and not welcoming to me when I reached out asking about the parking being applied to my card, when Expedia agreed to pay for everything. Rooms is nice and house keeping did great with keeping the room upkept.

Rooms and facilities were nice. Food was not as advertised. No espresso drinks because machine was, “out of order for the foreseeable future.” Had to tell them about my breakfast being included 2 days in a row. Menu makes food sound really good and worth the high prices and does not deliver. “Belgium waffles with whipped honey butter” tasted like stale dense pancake mix poured on a waffle maker and came with cold rock hard foil-wrapped butter packs. If I had to pay $25 bucks for that I would have been more bummed. Seems like they are having some issues. Still the room was nice and it was a convenient location for my work needs.

System seemed to be down for the entire time we were there meaning that we couldn’t get an invoice on check out. One lift was broken and the other was off due to a power cut for over 3 hours on our last day. We were on the 7th floor with 2 young children and a pram with no way of getting to the ground floor other than carting everything down 7 flights (we had lots of luggage as we were going to a cruise). No help offered…. Rate included breakfast however they tried to charge $30 for a 6 year old. Booked room for 4 people…why isn’t breakfast included in the price for 4 people?

Very reasonable property not too far from the beach, and the FLL airport. The bed looked tired but everything else including the dining, drink options with a great staff makes up for everything. Recommended
