Convenient for the family to go to the pool and beach . Unfortunately no one told us the pool deck is under construction and very limited sitting space at the pool. Pool area could be cleaner , trash build up at the cans and around the pool. Also people not staying at the hotel seem to know they can just walk in and use the pool and beach no enforcement.

overpriced; pool bar never open while i was swimming, construction, noisy, hotel restaurant food low end, $18 cheap wine selection at bar, far walk to beach, poor directions to pool area and beach, no towels at pool. bartenders inside were slow and unresponsive to me standing at bar. front desk basically just said sorry the pool bar closes at 4pm and pool at dusk. lame. dont pay and go to a motel type place with more personal touch and less tourist trap.

Clean and directly on the beach. They hosted a "flock fest" which took over the amentities for the hotel guests. I would have liked to been compensated for that (resort fee waved for example) considering we could not use the pool and resort amentities freely without being conflicted with this party. Otherwise, a great property for the price.

I rented umbrella for $32 at 4:00 nobody told us they would take it back at 5:00pm while benches stay longer. Coffee shop selling coffe $10 you will feel like you are in Ritz Carlton but they don’t even say hi how are you. Specially at the beach booth. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel next time.

Our stay was really good. We stayed here before, the location is perfect. The beach is lovely. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Lots of extra charges, Valet $55 at day, if you want umbrella with your beach chair $35, resort fee, and you have to leave a deposit when you check in.

The room that we booked was not the same as the room we were given. The stunning view was that of trees that had a partial view of the water. It was old outdated and disgusting. Our bathroom shower had black mold. This place was not a resort as described but more of a motel. I would never recommend the hotel to anyone and I feel that the price we paid we did not get what we were promised.

Room was smelly and not super clean. Balcony door did not lock and anyone could’ve accessed our balcony on the second floor with a roof right outside. Long lines at check in and Valet which was $55 a night. Location is close to the beach but that is probably the only upside of staying here.

The beach and the view from the room were the best things about this place. It has an older update and everything is showing its age. We were on the fifth floor ocean view room with a large window. The window must leak water because the first thing we noticed when we opened the door was the musty moldy smell. Further inspection showed moldy carpet, curtains, and paint around the window. The bed was comfy and the linens were clean. They boast multiple restaurants but they all have the same limited items on the menus. Breakfast buffet was ok but not always included with the stay. Upon checkout there was no discount offered when we explained the mold problems and showed them pictures. Don’t think we would stay again. Probably should have been alarmed when we were checking in someone was complaining about a moldy room.

The staff was great. The pictures look nicer than how the property really looks. I actually believe it’s photoshopped. When I checked into my room, it had a very stale smell. My wife also woke up and noticed there were ants in the bed. The carpets are stained and the overall room is out dated. When I told the staff they were really nice, changed our room and gave us free breakfast and drinks. I will not be staying at this resort again.

The hotel was very busy, so check-in took longer than usual, but the front desk person was very nice. Only 2 elevators to get people to the main building, which took several minutes each time we took the elevator. My issue with the comfort is that the rooms have double beds. Not sure why they would not have queen beds, but they don’t. I would not stay here with family again if we had to share double beds.

The beach, lobby and pool were nice. The rooms were ok. The ac unit couldn’t cool our room, so it was too hot to sleep. The curtains were broken, so we couldn’t shut the window to the main road, the bathroom is super small and impossible for 2 people to get ready. The shower doesn’t have a door, so water goes all over the place. There isn’t a place to put a hairdryer, or curling iron to get ready. There isn’t anywhere to hang a towel in the bathroom, or set anything else other than a toothbrush and hairbrush. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We could walk to other hotels and restaurants.

We had an Oceanview room. The view of the beach and ocean was pretty from our room. However the room was very small for the 4 of us. I didn't realize when booking it was 2 Double beds not Queen beds. My family of 4 was very squished. I wouldn't book here again with my family. I would look for a hotel with a larger room and larger beds.

The location is amazing, the beach area is beautiful. The rooms are in serious need of an upgrade. The furniture is old. Some of the lamps didn’t work, the phone also didn’t work, the towels and overall bedding looked like a motel instead of a 4 star hotel, there was no alarm clock …. The tv was pretty basic,

What the hotel doesn’t tell you… Your room is actually across the street from the beach, not on the beach. Also, the hotel supplied toiletries, such as shower gel and lotion apparently did not stick to the wall and so we’re on the floor when I arrived. The room thermostat was set on 66 and I was unable to change it, I actually turned it off during the night so that I can get warm enough. In the shower, the water never got truly warm. I doubt that I will stay here again.

The private beachfront is one of the best parts of the resort, stretching out as much of the tail end of Fort Lauderdale as possible before going into Hollywood, FL. But it feels like the resort itself needs more renovations than just the lobby & the Salty Siren pool deck. As in the exterior of at least two buildings, the elevators, the floor of the Clipper Pool, and the volleyball courts. My room upgrade to the Marina building was pretty nice, but the K-Cup Coffee maker and the chair for the table below the TV both being broken wasn't. And when I could have had both addressed via replacements, I couldn't tell whether the phone for room service next to my bed was working or not. That too should be worked on. I definitely didn't like how during my stay, the Florida Sports Bar's restaurant for the morning hours was only limited to a breakfast buffet, nor that Clipper Express as I checked out closed up before 20 minutes before noon when I was ready with another card to purchase a beverage. Not cool. At all. All these listed issues aside, I still feel like I could come back. Because the private beachfront, and how on point beach services were with the chairs makes it worth it. But before I consider doing this resort again, there has to be more enhancements & renovations than just the Pool Deck and it has to happen before next Spring & Summer and I hope that all gets across as into next year goes along. That would go a ways in making it better with vacationing there.

Overall good. The technology in the rooms ok but not state of the art. Ie no ability to stream to tv using your Netflix, Hulu etc.. Outlets for phone charges were loose and difficult to get power bricks to stay plugged in. Has to use wall outlets by tv For free WiFi had to provide email and agree to promotional emails … usually you can just connect using your room number and last name.

The experience was great until it was time to checkout. The resort kept trying to charge us for our stay at a daily rate of about $175 even though we booked through Expedia and already paid for the stay. The guy at the guest kept trying to pretend we weren’t being charged when I questioned it. I had to ask for a manager and he thankfully fixed it. Our total at checkout went from almost $1400 to $850. Make sure to double check you bill at checkout!

Poor service. Front desk was told by me many times that I could not get a towel at the pool or beach and my room towels were disgusting. They didn’t care to fix the issue. Valet takes an hour to answer the phone to ask for your car yet they charge $55 a night. Bad customer service. They need to invest in new towels. They charge fees for everything yet have no towels? I wouldn’t stay again.

Our stay here was great! This hotel is beautifully located right on the beach. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. They went above and beyond to help my family be comfortable after we missed our flight and lost our luggage. Next time we are in Fort Lauderdale, this is the only place I want to stay.

This was one of the most frustrating hotel stays I’ve had. Check-in was a mess—I was given the wrong room keys and had to go back to the lobby. I paid for breakfast but wasn’t given the cards, so I had to return again after eating to get them. Staff were generally unhelpful and inattentive, and the hotel charges extra for nearly everything, including basic beach umbrellas. Communication was poor. I was told the beach served food until 7 PM, but they closed at 5 PM. Other venues I was told were open were actually closed when I arrived. This lack of accurate information wasted my time repeatedly. To make matters worse, the hotel is undergoing major renovations, which was never mentioned at booking. The noise during the day was constant and loud, and many pool and common areas felt more like a construction site than a resort. Between the poor service, constant upselling, misinformation, and disruptive renovations, I cannot recommend this property. Stay elsewhere until management fixes these serious issues and is transparent about ongoing construction

I’ve been going to this property since it was known as the Yankee Clipper; 40 years now..appreciate the remodeling.. cashless property can become an annoyance. I had my card compromised just before my flight. $$$ to eat with instant 18% gratuity plus fees, a can of ginger ale is $5. I found this markup almost offensive. I stood 5 nights. The room was very nice, my window was covered in palms.. most lovely!! I will go back.. the price was great for the area..kid friendly for sure. Overall, would recommend for young & old!!

I wish they had more dining options. The restaurant and the bar in the lobby had the same menu. That being said the food we did have was all delicious. Service was excellent. The room seemed damp but was comfortable!
