Hotel provided lots of amenities which were included in the resort fee (churros, smoothies & jello shots by the pool, parking, transfer to town centre/bay front area, etc) daily DJ by the pool which played a variety of music and the staff were all really helpful and attentive. Hotel was fairly busy but didn’t feel crowded or loud, especially at night. The style of the hotel is awesome and feels new and fresh and the late night bar is a perfect chill out spot and to watch the sunset. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Pros: Quick and convenient shuttle to/from airport (10mins). Very clean, spacious rooms. Accommodating staff members-cleaners, Jorge front desk, Val bartender, concierge, and almost all drivers. The hotel lobby/corridors are beautiful decorated and pleasant smelling. The pool area is fantastic! Lots of seating, a pool bar, large cabana, small cabana, hot tub, restrooms. It is close to the food truck and outdoor games both under shaded areas. The pool vibe is entertaining, and they have activities like churros, happy hour, and drink samples. The “cabana” guys worked extra hard keeping the pool area clean and comfortable. Food was good at the food truck. Cons: The shuttle to downtown has one drop-off/pick-up point. It is a bit of a walk to Duval street and some of the major attractions. A 24 minute walk from Southernmost Point to the shuttle pick-up. We used Uber if we were going that far into town. At check-in there’s a $300 hold placed on your credit card for incidentals, and at check-out there were a lot of daily convenience and resort fees added to the stay. These fees are for things like the shuttle, churros, and towel service at the pool. Towels ran out at the pool more than once. When I booked, HC advertised as adults-only, but that is not until Oct. 1. Very little to do inside the hotel. If you are looking to stay only at a resort your whole stay, this is a great option. If you want to be closer to the action look for a place downtown.

Our biggest issue was the closet in our room. It looked clean but it wreaked of mildew or mold. Anything kept in the closet smelled bad. We had to wash clothes multiple times to remove the odor.

We had a great stay at the Havana Cabana. It was a bit outside downtown Key West (5-10 min drive), but they have an hourly shuttle downtown which super convenient; we used multiple times a day. I think this was just about ideal. Free easy parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool and bar area with places for games and relaxation. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Nice balcony, ours faced the pool area. All the room amenities worked great. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Key West. We will certainly stay here again during our next trip to the Keys.

We did not stay here because of construction. They arranged accommodations for us at their sister hotel (Margaritaville) where they wanted to charge us again. When questioneda about the charges the surpervisor said to us "I dont know, this is what rings up".

Liked that it was 21+. The bartender that was working the cigar lounge was great! The front check in girls were very knowledgeable. The only downside was the pool was not heated as advertised. Paying a resort fee I feel that should have been working.

I've never had one complaint about the Havana Cabana. It was my fifth time staying here. I had a four night stay booked. The vibe is awesome, the pool bar, the food, the DJ, all the xtra perks like popsicles, jello shots, 25% off food and N/A beverages for being an Expedia VIP, parking for my scooters & pool loungers were plentiful. Now the bad. My 1st floor room looked like it had never recovered from water damage. The flooring was lifting, furniture & doors were warped and peeling and the door to my room didn't close properly to seal the right way. My feet were black on the bottom from the floor being so filthy. I loved this property so much that I was willing to deal with the room because the pool and grounds made up for it. Night two is where it went sour when I found multiple American cockroaches in my room. I know that Florida has bugs, but I was told these were not roaches, rather they were palmetto bugs that "don't lay eggs". They're the same. I was told this complaint occurs 4-5 x's/week. I know they exist, but I dont want my room infested with them. This discovery was at about 1:30 am. I contacted the front desk & the young man offered to relocate me to a different room in the same building. I declined because I'd already been told I'd have to vacate that building the next day. Who wants to move twice? I called Expedia to cancel the next 2 nights. Joe the mgr was not pleased that the night staff approved my request. He thought I should've been penalized. Bye Joe.

The water pressure was terrible! The shower took forever due to the lack of pressure. The AC unit has a hard time regulating the room temperature but that’s the keys. Hot tub was out of commission when we were there. We loved the room and comfortable bed. The lobby and staff is great and the hotel smells amazing!

We booked this resort for four days to celebrate our 30th anniversary and splurged on a gulf side room with a balcony. This was a waste of money. The resort advertises as waterfront; however, there is a very busy four lane hwy between the hotel & the water making it unenjoyable to sit outside, unless you like the sounds of cars/trucks and emergency vehicles zooming by. We could even hear these sounds inside our room. This was not the peaceful escape we wanted. We also felt that the friendliness of the bartenders was sub par. Also, why would you charge your guests $3 for a cup of plain coffee?!? There are others things that occurred that didn’t give us the resort vibes & hospitality we hoped for. Sadly, we will stay elsewhere on our next visit to the Keys.

The room was nice but the king size bed was totally worn out, it sagged so much it was probably 4-5” lower in the middle. The room doors slam shut so sometimes the neighbors can be loud.

There was food and stores within walking distance which was nice. I wasnt very impressed with the guy that checked us in amd the smell in the room. I was also upset that the room i paid extra for to have an ocean view was obtructed by the cars in the entrance and was across a busy street. I was on the first floor and the "balcony" was barely big enough for a chair and the door to open. The beds are super hard.

I've never had one complaint about the Havana Cabana. It was my fifth time staying here. I had a four night stay booked. The vibe is awesome, the pool bar, the food, the DJ, all the xtra perks like popsicles, jello shots, 25% off food and N/A beverages for being an Expedia VIP, parking for my scooters & pool loungers were plentiful. Now the bad. My 1st floor room looked like it had never recovered from water damage. The flooring was lifting, furniture & doors were warped and peeling and the door to my room didn't close properly to seal the right way. My feet were black on the bottom from the floor being so filthy. I loved this property so much that I was willing to deal with the room because the pool and grounds made up for it. Night two is where it went sour when I found multiple American cockroaches in my room. I know that Florida has bugs, but I was told these were not roaches, rather they were palmetto bugs that "don't lay eggs". They're the same. I was told this complaint occurs 4-5 x's/week. I know they exist, but I dont want my room infested with them. This discovery was at about 1:30 am. My boyfriend and I had a fun time however, due to hurricane damage, workers started hammering on rooftops around 8:30 am. We were located poolside which was nice and had its perks but the gates to the pool constantly slammed in the early hours and the music started up by the pool around 10am which echoed in our room. Also the property maintenance workers would start leaf blowing around the pool area around 8:30am as well. Despite having a good time, we did not sleep well here. This resort is still dealing with serious hurricane damage. Our room clearly had damage and had been flooded, swollen doors and the floor laminate completely lifted up. Being a Florida resident, I am sympathetic to this but I wasn’t expecting these conditions for the prices that were paid. Also on site food and drink prices were incredibly high. The shuttle to down town was very convenient and timely and The Flama Cabana bar is absolutely incredible. I feel that this hotel pre hurricanes would have been the best place to stay in Key West. It is apparent that hotel management is doing the best that they can do get their resort back in full working order but I do feel as though this information should have been disclosed or room prices should have been more reasonable. Overall, despite all of this, if I had the opportunity, I know I would enjoy myself here again.

We had a great stay at the Havana Cabana. It was a bit outside downtown Key West (5-10 min drive), but they have an hourly shuttle downtown which super convenient; we used multiple times a day. I think this was just about ideal. Free easy parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool and bar area with places for games and relaxation. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Nice balcony, ours faced the pool area. All the room amenities worked great. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Key West. We will certainly stay here again during our next trip to the Keys.

We stayed for 6 nights on May PROs- Loved the Cuban theme throughout the resort The young man who checked us in was very good- I wish I had gotten his name The pool was fantastic- the temp was perfect, as was the atmosphere The location was ideal for us- it was super close to everything but far enough to be a serene spot CONs- The bartenders were there to rip you off- every time my husband went to the bar it was a different price. We can only assume that someone is ripping off the owners. We think that if you order a drink at the bar, it should be the same price each time. Don't you think? It is advertised as an ADULT-ONLY RESORT. But apparently it is NOT because every day that we were there, there were kids in the pool. You can't advertise- adults only- and have kids there. Room service was extremely spotty, to say the least. The last few days we were there, we didn't get room service until after 6 pm, and we only got a few towels. The hot tub was out of service- it was hot but there were no jets at all. We told the staff and they said that they were aware of it but.. So, that being said, would I stay there again? probably not FYI- The food truck also serves the Tapas restaurant

The pool & grounds are amazing! Great vibe. However, beds are uncomfortable, rooms are in dire need of fixing, and it's noisy until 11pm full blast latino music. Also the staff was awful, they gave away my room even though I prepaid for 4 nights and didn't have another similar room - I spent over an hour of my time talking to the manager and expedia to figure out how to solve the issue. The front desk girl was soooo rude and unhelpful. I wish this place had better rooms and a better staff, because then it would be incredible. But it was just so-so due to all these issues.

They offered a shuttle from the airport to the hotel on their site. They forgot us 3 times. On the third time I was on hold with them for 11 minutes until hubby used his phone. They never clicked back over. When the guy came, he said he had no knowledge.. we were outside for over an hour. We get to the hotel, which was completely empty except for the male personal at the desk texting. The connecting buildings look nothing like the lobby which changed immediately into motel rooms. we decided to go to the pool bar. They didn’t believe we stayed there. I had my wristband key card on. The bartender was rude. He kept ignoring me. The bar was empty. My hubby spoke up and was immediately served. They didn’t clean the pool once. I was there each day when opened and closed debris piled up. When you order breakfast, it’s served on a metal prison tray without dividers, No lining. Customer service sucks. When we left we were refused a shuttle and was told to wait for next guy. We were told 15 mins which turned into an hour. The shirtless run every 15-30 mins. Since our visit I have been calling and emailing for a receipt of our stay and I’ve gotten no response back. Iv tried through the hotel directly and through Expedia.

My VIP status was not recognized upon check in. I was told our room was not yet ready but in would be soon. That was around 1pm. We had arrived early because we had taken the ferry over from Ft. Myers. We went and sat in the bar and ordered drinks. At 2pm we rechecked at the desk. Not ready yet. At 3pm, not ready yet. At 4pm I got in the line to check in and finally the room was ready at 4:15! Again my VIP status was never acknowledged. I had prepaid for Champagne and cigars and they were not in the room. The room smelled very musty and the faux (peel and stick) wood floor crunched with every step as it was obviously lifting from the underfloor. There were too few hangars in the closet. I complained about the lack of bubbly and cigars and they were eventually brought but the surprise for my husband had already come and gone. We never did get more hangars.

The food was delicious. The pool was beautiful. The hot tub was nice after a long day of walking. My only complaint is the shower had very low pressure. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Quick and convenient shuttle to/from airport (10mins). Very clean, spacious rooms. Accommodating staff members-cleaners, Jorge front desk, Val bartender, concierge, and almost all drivers. The hotel lobby/corridors are beautiful decorated and pleasant smelling. The pool area is fantastic! Lots of seating, a pool bar, large cabana, small cabana, hot tub, restrooms. It is close to the food truck and outdoor games both under shaded areas. The pool vibe is entertaining, and they have activities like churros, happy hour, and drink samples. The “cabana” guys worked extra hard keeping the pool area clean and comfortable. Food was good at the food truck. Cons: The shuttle to downtown has one drop-off/pick-up point. It is a bit of a walk to Duval street and some of the major attractions. A 24 minute walk from Southernmost Point to the shuttle pick-up. We used Uber if we were going that far into town. At check-in there’s a $300 hold placed on your credit card for incidentals, and at check-out there were a lot of daily convenience and resort fees added to the stay. These fees are for things like the shuttle, churros, and towel service at the pool. Towels ran out at the pool more than once. When I booked, HC advertised as adults-only, but that is not until Oct. 1. Very little to do inside the hotel. If you are looking to stay only at a resort your whole stay, this is a great option. If you want to be closer to the action look for a place downtown.

Very beautiful pool area. Rooms mostly nice but had some issues, a bit musty. Shuttle schedule changed without notice and had to Uber but was reimbursed. Food truck good. Waterfront means you can see water across a very busy street.

Havana Cabana was a great stay for our first time in the keys. Amenities were great next to a publix for some snacks/drinks or whatever you may need or have forgotten on the trip. The free shuttle is great and runs frequently too and from downtown area if you don’t wanna to take Ubers. And the pool was fun with music and pool floats to use. Food and drinks are also delicious. Will be staying here again in the future.

The hotel is right across from the water. The front desk was always staffed. Room was clean. Rates were good. The free shuttle was nice to have but not reliable. We arranged for it to pick us up from the airport but we waited an hour for it. We did not use it to return to the airport. Also, there are two shuttles and two drivers. If one of them is out, there is only one shuttle running so the wait can be long. The food provided there is alright but the restaurant is understaffed and inefficient. Our biggest issue was the closet in our room. It looked clean but it wreaked of mildew or mold. Anything kept in the closet smelled bad. We had to wash clothes multiple times to remove the odor.

Although a little further from beach and downtown area, this is a great hotel, and has the feel of a resort. The staff was super friendly, prices were reasonable, and it was a great jumping pad for the area. The room sizes were decent as well.

Havana Cabana is a wonderful hotel in New Town. We were very happy with the location and the amenities offered. A shuttle (included in the resort fee) runs every 1/2 hour to Old Town and is a real bonus. The heated pool is a great way to spend the day and there are plenty of loungers for all guests. The poolside bar offers great food and drink options. We will definitely return to Havana Cabana our next trip to Key West.

Very nicely Cuba styled. The downtown transportation made it easy to go there. Many seats available by pool. Food options somewhat limited and could have longer hours for the food truck as we got back from a sunset tour and the food truck was closed by 10 pm. After paying for the hotel on Expedia there were many hotel fees on my credit card statement. Delivery fees, resort fees not explained by Expedia or the hotel before would be charged later.

Everything was good other than the bar. I felt like it could have been a better experience if the staff at the bar were more welcoming. The beer was served mostly warm everyday I was there which was a huge bust for my family and I. Not allowing us to bring a cooler with our own beverages by the pool made things unpleasant when we were forced to drink warm beers on the pool side.

10/10 recommend. The staff was so nice, the vibe overall is great. The complimentary shuttle to and from downtown (keys) was wow. Steve our driver 10/10z I would go back in as heartbeat!! Oh and food didn’t not disappoint, for this being our first time it exceeded our expectations.

We had the absolute best time at the Havana Cabana. It is fun to go out and explore but you really don't need to. Relaxing by the pool with delicious food and drinks was the highlight of our trip!

Pillows were flat and hard. Lost sleep because my neck hurt from pillows. Pool was beautiful, breakfast food was horrible and way overpriced. Breakfast food was minimal for nearly $20 per plate. Staff was friendly. Wild iguanas were pretty cool wandering around the property.

Havana Cabana was a great stay for our first time in the keys. Amenities were great next to a publix for some snacks/drinks or whatever you may need or have forgotten on the trip. The free shuttle is great and runs frequently too and from downtown area if you don’t wanna to take Ubers. And the pool was fun with music and pool floats to use. Food and drinks are also delicious. Will be staying here again in the future.

There is no ice machine so you must go to bar go get ice.. The bartenders are the hardest workers there they must run around like crazy they must make pool bar drinks get ice for all guest answers all questions run and take all food orders .even when there is a full restaurant especially at breakfast. But they the two servers/ bar tenders make good suggestions best breakfast Avacado toast. Its Havana Cabana I think they should have incredible cuban food but don't .. they could easily . Good Cuban coffee with sugar is not hard but they couldn't even deliver that..,they have empanadas but not done well and only cheese or breakfast ones. Pastels with guava and cheese so greasy fry grease was dirty and not proper temp so it was soggy. The shuttle was amazing perk no problems. The shower was nice looking but not clean it's Florida I get it but open glass door and mildew smell hits you in face , mold on lower grout under seat. I have short hair but long black hair on shower walls and in sink. I felt cleaner in pool shower . These are all easy fixes. You're staff tries . have a diamond in the ruff property in my opion you can improve. I will be back not a full stay. Bed firm but comfy..
