Location is excellent. Very close to Duval st and easy to walk to most locations in the historic district. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. The hotel is typical old Key West style but very comfortable with good AC and spacious rooms. You can hang out by the pool after strolling around the streets and have a drink at the hotel bar. We got a two bedroom unit which was great for a family of four.

Place is nice overall, location to Duval street is what this hotel is all about. Rooms are small, pool is nothing special, free breakfast was below average. There is no parking so you have to park two blocks away and pay an extra $30 a night for parking. It was great that the hotel is pet friendly.

Pros: The staff is very accommodating & the hotel is clean. In the common area they serve breakfast in the morning & coffee all day, along with a small bar with limited hours. It also has a microware & ice machine. The hotel is centrally located - half way between both sides of Duval (which is 1 block away). The bed was very comfortable. There were robes in the room along with a small fridge. Excellent restaurant 1/2 block away. Other facts: It is a small hotel; parking is limited to 4 spaces; no jacuzzi; pool is small & room does not have a safe. Perfect place to stay if you want to get some quiet time away from the excitement of Duval St. - except for the roosters, of course, but the A/C drowns most of crowing.

If I could put up a video on here I would to show how serious it is when I say do not stay here. Upon arriving I was put in a room that when opening the door smelled like it was underwater for weeks before anyone noticed. The smell of mildew was horrific but couldn’t be moved to another room until the next day. The floor was even soft from the water damage. The staff apologized and the next day I was moved to another room. This one smelt a lot less like mildew but was still fill with moisture. I have bad asthma so the rest of my trip wasn’t great to say the least. The very last night we had all the lights on being that we were packing to leave and I looked up in absolute horror. The ceiling was completely coveredddd in mold. All over. Pillows of water sitting underneath the Sheetrock just building up til they burst. I wish I could add pictures & videos. I’m now home & sick as a dog. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The staff were nice and location were great but the website pics are distorting. The king bedroom was so small, it was hard to walk around the bed, paid extra for a useless patio. My main issue was cleanliness, I’ve traveled for years but this was the first time I had to ask housekeeping to clean room, dusty and smelled like mold… black mold in shower. I’ve stayed at many Kimpton Hotels before, very disappointed in this one.

The hotel’s location is excellent—very walkable and convenient. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The staff were unfriendly and seemed bothered by even simple requests. Our room was not clean upon arrival - lots of hair clumps on the floor in the room and bathroom walls. I took it upon myself to clean it as it was late at night. Housekeeping didn’t come until after 4 PM on the first day and only delivered clean towels and pulled up the bed sheets. Surfaces, especially in the bathroom, were not wiped down, and there was hair on the floor and in the bed. The shower was completely stopped up and didn’t drain at all on the first day. I would expect housekeeping to have noticed this if they had properly cleaned the shower. I texted the front desk asking for a proper floor cleaning, but it was never done during our stay. The advertised “afternoon refreshments” at the pool were nonexistent, and the continental breakfast buffet had crawling bugs. I would not stay here again.

The room was not clean. Mold in the shower. And when the room was cleaned it was not swept out. Just new towels and bed made. The soap dispenser did not function and the tops had to be removed. The Breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly.

I had a great stay here! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The room was spacious, very clean, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. The pool had warm water, which was such a nice surprise and made swimming really enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, a wonderful stay — I’d happily come back

Rooms are a dump. Floors are filthy. Walls as filthy. A chunk of wood was missing from front door. Phone didn’t work. Called twice for repair to no avail. Had to beg housekeeper to change my sheets. Had to request to have sink and toilet cleaned. It’s noting more than a motel at best.

Although the property is beautiful, conveniently, located to Duval Street/the main attractions and the staff members are courteous and kind, they could do better on the maintenance of the rooms. The dresser/cabinet where the refrigerator was located the door was broken, there were stains on the ceiling and walls.

The rooms were so unique and different. We loved area. It was small and wonderfully staffed. The area is very clean. The breakfast was very fresh and good. Bar had good drinks and a lounge place to hang out and visit with friends. The location was great and walkable to restaurants. Parking was a bit of a challenege with only 4 spots. We got lucky, had to pay for it but its Key West. The only complaint was the super thin walls. Everyday we heard the neighbor yelling at his kids. Ugh! Although we loved it here and would dedicatedly stay again.

Charming property in a great location. We had a few hiccups with our stay, mainly not hot water for several days (our room only). Communication was not good regarding this issue but the hotel made it right in the end. Definitely could use some TLC and the breakfast didn’t appeal to me but for location and genuine Key West feel, this is good.

Lovely hotel and ideal location to walk to everything on the south shore and the northern waterfront areas. We enjoyed the cozy pool and bar areas. Our King room had everything we needed, though it was small, with no seating in the room other than the bed and a makeup stool. The bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again in a larger room or suite.

What a unique and elegant experience! Would highly recommend. The hotel staff is top-notch and very attentive, especially Laura. And getting to meet Finn was an added treat! We hope to be back some day!

The staff were so very nice. I mentioned we were celebrating our 25th anniversary and when we returned to our room there was a nice note and a little bottle of champagne. Little things like tis is what matters. Thank You!

Great location and easy access to dining and tourist attractions. Warm pool. Nice continental breakfast. Rarely any beach towels available, housekeeping was terrible. No towels, no service for 2 days, no clean glasses or new soap. Had to ask repeatedly for things and then still didn’t get them. Phone didn’t work. Coffee was awful. The front desk didn’t seem to care too much about our complaints. Except for Skye, she did say they were training housekeepers and apologized, she was friendly and did her best to help.

Front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful. We had an issue with our room and they quickly moved us. No questions asked. Breakfast at this hotel is outstanding and it is easy walking distance to Duval Street and the Hemingway house is right across the street! Will be staying here again in December for my son‘s wedding.

Lots of good things to stay about this place! The staff were all super friendly and helpful - from Laura the innkeeper to the bar tenders to the housekeeping. Good breakfast every morning, lovely pool, cute rooms, great location - close to everything, but quiet too. The absolutely perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Only complaint was that the shades didn’t block much light at all, and they could use something better for a really good night’s sleep with the street and porch lights as well as if you want to sleep in once the sun’s up.

This hotel is simply perfect! Its location is ideal, right in front of the Hemingway House and just a couple of blocks away from Duval Street. The room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The host was super nice, and everyone on the property was very kind and helpful. Definitely my favorite choice for next time

Location is excellent. Very close to Duval st and easy to walk to most locations in the historic district. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. The hotel is typical old Key West style but very comfortable with good AC and spacious rooms. You can hang out by the pool after strolling around the streets and have a drink at the hotel bar. We got a two bedroom unit which was great for a family of four.

Location, location, location! This place is right next to the lighthouse, across the street from Hemingway's house and museum, just down the street from the Southernmost Point marker and just down the street from Mallory Square where everyone gathers to eatch the sunset. Perfect!!!

We really enjoyed this hotel! The rooms were cute, the breakfast was classy and the property was pretty quiet. They have a little pool with lots of chairs around it which made it really nice during the day. They also have a microwave, coffee maker and fruit available 24/7 which we found super helpful. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance! We did hear that parking can get pretty expensive and rough so we decided to rent bikes to ride around town and to the different beaches. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Housekeeping didn’t come until after 4 PM on the first day and only delivered clean towels and pulled up the bed sheets. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious, the staff was friendly, and the facilities were in great shape. The included breakfast was nice, and included an array of options, from overnight oats to mini egg salad sandwiches with smoked salmon (surprisingly good!). You're gifted a couple of drinks/cocktails upon check-in, which was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.
