Ambrosia Key West

Great location, cold AC, very limited parking, really nice front desk lady, amazing included breakfast.

My sister and I stayed at Ambrosia for 2 nights and would absolutely stay there again. The room was very nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a private patio with lounge chairs and an nearby dipping pool which we never had to share with anyone! It was clean, cool and in the shade! There are 2 other pools at Ambrosia. It was quiet and within walking distance of most of the places we wanted to go. We were fortunate to get one of the limited parking spots for $25/night which was great! If you've been to Key West, you know that parking can be a challenge. Office staff were very professional and pleasant. The breakfast was perfect.

Easy to find and so close to everything. Literally never used our car the whole trip. Pools were fun to use. Breakfast worked (scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, pancakes, fruit and grains). Coffee was good. Staff was friendly

We booked the Ambrosia Suite which looked lovely from the photos online. We did not realize that the room is located in a very old house across the street from the main property. Not a huge problem, but somewhat inconvenient. The bigger issue was the room itself; it very obviously should have been updated several years ago. The bathroom was very tiny and all of the fixtures were rusted and/or covered with a thick accumulation of limescale. The two mini split air conditioning units were not working and instead there were two window units. Both were very loud. One was inches away from the head of the bed, rendering it essentially unusable. The designated deck space for the room next door was just outside the bedroom window; we could clearly hear coughing, conversations, and children running and yelling at all times. We could also hear everything happening in the room above us. Our deck space could have used updated furniture. It was located just steps away from the outdoor spa which looked lovely but was not operational during our stay. The area was cordoned off with yellow caution tape. The pool area across the street at the main property was well-maintained and beautifully landscaped. The rooms in this part of the property appeared to be updated. This is our 5th trip to Key West and by far the worst hotel we have stayed at. We won’t be back but if you do stay I would avoid any room that’s in the building across the street.

Very close to Duvall St, walkable to everything. But, in a very quiet, relaxing courtyard with 2 small 24 hours pools. Very much enjoyed out time here.

The location was amazing, the size of the villa was amazing and the amenities were great too! The pools were much smaller than the pictures made them appear but they were fine and clean. The temperature was perfect. The included breakfast wasn’t the best BUT it’s included. Can’t complain too much. The villa itself def needs to TLC. You can tell it’s old and falling apart. There were maintenance workers around throughout the weekends fixing things which is a good sign. All in all it was a great price for the location and it was clean. I’d def come back in the future

Property is very peaceful. Parking is tricky for all of Key West in that area. If you do find street parking, leave your car there for up to 3 days without issue. You won't need a car though. We walked everywhere. Plenty of places to eat, museums, stores, shops and beaches nearby. Ambrosia is well situated where it is close to everything but two blocks removed from commercial area so you can have a good night's sleep. Very happy with the stay. Pools were clean. Breakfast was the same everyday, eggs, pancakes, french toast sticks, sausages, cereals, bagels and muffins. Cranberry and OJ pitchers along with coffee and teas. We would gladly stay there again.

Lovely property close to Duval Street, two beautiful pools and an inground whirlpool spa the size of a small swimming pool!

The location to Duval street and the harbor is good. The place has a great breakfast. Our bed seemed small for a queen and wasn’t that comfortable. The gate to get in after hours was tricky and frustrating. The parking is horrible around the area if you can’t get one of the three spots they have.

Nice size rooms. Two swimming pools and hot tub. Decent breakfast options.

We could not be more pleased with our stay at Ambrosia Inn. Our room was exceptional and it was impeccably clean and welcoming. Every detail was taken care of. The location is perfect- it is a quiet area within walking distance to shopping and a two minute walk to Duval Street. Breakfast in the gazebo is self serve and nice options. The pools are lovely. I am recommending the inn to my family and friends.

Ambrosia is a truly Key West jewel!!!! Beautiful setting and great location. Really charming. Great breakfast. Maria at the front desk, was super nice and helpful. Rooms need a little upgrade. The spiral staircase in our room is scary. Our room was not cleaned once. The housekeeper only left clean towels outside the room.

We loved this historic hotel. It was amazingly clean and the service was top notch. So close to all of the Old Town Key West and Duvall St.

Staff was excelent. Maria, so nice. Little things rhat made it stand out. Bathrooms were not very clean lot of hair. And in the eco part, toilets need tu be upgraded. They use alot of water. I would return. The best was its location

What we liked: Great breakfast outside near the pools. Easy walk to Duval and pretty much anything in Key West, Lovely greenery/decor all around the pool area, very relaxing. We received new bath towels each day, which was welcome. Beach towels are provided, which was a nice surprise. Great bedding/comfortable mattress. Quiet neighborhood. What we didn't like: The welcome! The lady who welcomed us at check-in was borderline rude. Very short. Our room looked outdated. The bathtub -while probably clean- was all stained and rusty. Not very appealing...

It was an outstanding room. It was very spacious and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on my next visit.

Very nice layout and a variety of room types available. The physical building exterior needs some work in certain areas. The interior bathrooms should be upgraded to 2023 not early 2000.

Our room was in a house across the street from the main hotel. It was clean and spacious and the breakfast was better than we expected. The location was nice given its proximity to Duval Street. However, the wifi never worked (even after they rebooted the router) and the air conditioners were SO loud! We ended up turning them off at night and just used the ceiling fans. Not sure we would stay here again unless guaranteed to be in the main location.

Ambrosia could be more upscale to make it a 5 star accommodation. We enjoyed the pool with mostly shade, which is fine for hot months, but a little chilly in winter months. The breakfast is a continental type. Fresh Fruit and coffee, muffins, yoplait. Coffee is average. Linens on beds were wonderful, except the mattress needed replacing as it was too soft. Our friends in another suite said their mattress was too firm and had terrible back ache. Medium Firm Mattresses might be a better fit for all guests and replacing after they are worn out. Ambrosia was on a quiet street, which was very important to us. So the other features were acceptable even though only average rating.

The room was nice (Honeymoon Suite) but was tough to get to as it was 2 flights of stairs up. Also, our room did not get Wifi access so we had to do this when we visited the pool.

Location was fantastic but the water pressure was abysmal. Room was well appointed and porch was lovely but I did get bit by something living in the wicker. All in all a very nice place, not perfect but close.

We loved our Room (Fleming 100 Town Home) very spacious and bright. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there, Offered house cleaning daily as well as linens and towels. Upper balcony was wonderful and secure for our nightly wine, lower porch was perfect for our morning breakfast. There are two properties which totaled three pools. One was nice and warm and other two refreshing after our long walks. We were close and centrally located to so much. Our full Breakfast was always hot, replenished and tasty (buffet style). Very quiet property minus of coarse the traffic (but Fleming is a one way street) so much better then others. Property is part of the old keys and kept as well as they can without losing it's heritage so if your looking for 5 star its not, but we loved it and plan on returning. We stayed 6 days and were never bored (my wife and I). Met so many wonderful people, highly recommend.

We love the Ambrosia Key West, we’ve stayed there in the past. The rooms are pretty big and the bathrooms are also big. It also has a living room and a little kitchen area and a fridge. The free breakfast has several choices and is always good. The rooms are very clean and get cleaned every day. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

We stayed at another location for two nights and needed one for our third and am so thankful to have found this place. The rooms were spacious, gorgeous, and included private balconies with beautiful foliage. The location was amazing as well, within a short walking distance to everything. I loved the large heated pool/hot tub too, that was a huge plus.

We enjoyed our stay and took advantage of the on site pool and available bike rentals. The proximity to Duval was convenient for exploring down town, but was central enough to make for a rideable trip to the south side of Key West. Our only notable issue was the noise we heard coming from the room above us, as the floors did not provide much noise insulation.

I liked the location as it was close to Duvall st. It was way overpriced for the size of the room. I would have liked the staff to be more helpful with how to get around. It gets loud and obnoxious by the large pool

Fabulous property in Key West! We were upgraded to a delightful room overlooking a long pool. Everything about this property is bright and fresh! They rent bikes for $20/day which was perfect for visiting Zach Taylor St Park & touring the outer edges of Key West! For Duvall St and most tourist sites (Mel Fisher Museum, Truman White House, etc), Ambrosia is within 10-12 minutes walk. The grounds are lovely & the pool - while lukewarm- was still a lovely place to relax. The only “knock” I have was that housekeeping skipped servicing our room one of the days we stayed. Still, this was a fabulous property and I would happily stay here again, the next time in Key West.

We had an amazing stay at Ambrosia. I cannot say anything negative. Friendly heloful staff, comfortable beds, enough towels, a lot of little extras, good breakfast, quiet street but close enough to walk everyhwhere. Cannot wait to go back !!!

Loved the Ambrosia and would definitely stay here again. Location is excellent, very walkable, we didnt need our car for the entire stay. Hotel is quiet and staff are very welcoming.

Have stayed here several times and it’s always consistently comfortable and well managed. We love the location. Close to everything yet not noisy. No need to rent a car. Uber is reasonable and prolific. The buildings are rustic so bathrooms and closets are smaller, but not to the point of ruining the experience. Breakfast is good. Several options.

Very nice old school Key West hotel in the historic part of town. Great proximity to just about everything. Remote parking. Serves breakfast. All good.

Very nice. Super clean. Quiet at night. During the day it’s on the landing path for airport so you get an occasional fly buy. Tasty breakfast. Overall this is a super, very nice place to crash in Key West.

This was a beautiful little oasis in the middle of Key West. We loved the sheltered courtyard with swimming pools kept private by all of the greenery. The location, so close to Duval Street, made seeing the sights easy. We will definitely go back

The property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood a few blocks off of Duval St. There were several restaurants and a grocery store in the immediate area which made dining options and picking up supplies very convenient.

Shockingly crammed in these city streets is an Oasis of calm & tranquility. Unfortunately pretty close to the airport thus planes are a steady.

Great room & staff was very accommodating!! Two minor issues with the room that hopefully will be fixed since we checked out, and most likely have been issues prior to us and either never reported or never fixed. Pools were great. Loved that we could rent bicycles right at the Inn (and at a cheap rate for 24 hours!) The only thing that could be better would be breakfast, maybe rotating the options for those who are staying more than one day, especially when you are called a “Bed & Breakfast”.

Room was clean and well kept. Great location. Close to Duval and other attractions. Staff was friendly. Only draw back was breakfast was just ok, and there was not enough seating outside when hotel was busy.

Everything was perfect. The location can’t be beat! The staff is friendly and helpful. I only have one recommendation. The breakfast should start earlier. 8:30 am is too late if you have plans and need to leave early.

So disappointed in Hotels.com recommendation of this hotel- definitely not a 9.4 rating! The place needs major renovations. The outside is deteriorating. Very little water pressure in Bathroom/shower. Breakfast was sub-par.

Fantastic location and quiet and very comfortable! Pool area is so lovely! Don’t expect breakfast to be much but a coffee juice and quick snack. There’s so many places nearby!
