We loved it here! Stayed here for my son’s baseball tournament at the Field of Dreams! The hotel breakfast was good, the pool was perfect temperature, nice size hot tub. The beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. I would recommend!

We were very happy with our stay. Our room and bed were great. The staff were courteous. The breakfast was good considering the price of our stay. We enjoyed the treadmills in the workout room. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that the exit on our end of the building had a door that was broken and would only close if you pushed it closed. We saw it open numerous times which allowed cold air in and was a security risk. I mentioned it to management and they said they had people coming to fix it the next day, but the three days we were there we found it open multiple times. Apart from that issue we had a great stay and no complaints.

Hot tub broken, should of received discount because of that tv was dated couldn't watch streaming services and no way to use the tub they have it set up for shower only very disappointed and the air in the pool was extremely cold

Hotel was ok, hot tub had so much chlorine it burned our eyes , told front desk about it and showed them that it ruined my swimsuit, all color gone from where hot tub water level was at , said management would call me but never did. No one at front desk 90 percent of the time. Breakfast just so so. Have stayed before and had no problems so not sure what the deal was. I do believe I should get some sort of reimbursement for my suit, I will be calling in the morning to see what they will do. Reserved three rooms at almost 900.00 did nor think I would have to buy a new suit for that price. Overall a dissapointment.

The room was very clean, beds were comfortable, TV had adequate amount of channels to view, and the decor was modern and easy on the eye. One thing noted was the bathroom sink was slow to drain. I noticed same problem identified in previous reviews. The hot tub water temperature, in the pool area, was warm and relaxing, but the switch to produce the bubbles was inoperable. The outside patio was very nice and we used it for family activities. Lastly, both mornings, hot food for breakfast was out and it took awhile for the staff to refill. The tables were unclean when we arrived at 8:00 am. Also, staff at the front desk were seldom there but were present immediately after calling them. They lacked social connect but were pleasant when I would initiate conversation. Overall, it was a nice place, good price and location. I would return again with hope that management would work on the areas I have noted. Thank you!

Do not stay here! Key cards won't work, even if the light turns green, the door won't physically open. No security flap under room doors. Toilets run constantly. No water pressure in shower, if you even get hot water. Room fridge and microwave didn't work. Lights in room flicker. Maybe just avoid room 331! Elevator will start moving before the door closes!!! Don't try to use the bathroom in pool area: door doesn't lock, but will trap you inside and nobody will hear you scream over the kids in the pool. Not at all the experience I expected from a COUNTRY INN & SUITES, though I will say the staff were very nice, but the establishment itself left a lot of normalcy to be desired. Very disappointed.

The room had a terrible odor. The bathroom floor was very dirty. The paint was coming off the walls. The carpet was heavily stained and not glued down. There were large areas of it coming off the floor. We paid close to 500 dollars for 2 nights. We were miserable and too scared to check for bed bugs, as we knew with the big event being held in the area there were no other places available. I booked this in March for August 30th. You’d think they would have given us a better room. It was to be a queen bed regular room. Instead it was a large 2 room type of suite with a large standard fridge! FILTHY!

The property should never be a 8.9 rating. Black hairs. Dirty. Front counter lady should be fired. This place had blood stains on both the linens, toilet, and chair. And the audacity of the gal at the front counter when I told her I’d like another room is unacceptable. This is a 2 star facility. I’ll never go back. Not for free

The first room we were placed in was a suite on the first floor. After a long day of travel, we were excited to be able to relax, but as soon as we went into the room, we could tell that it had not been cleaned. The beds were made, but there were stains on everything (carpet, linens, mattress). There was some sort of substance dripping off of the nightstand. We called the front desk and they were quick to put us into a new room. While we appreciate them being able to move us, the entire experience left a bad taste in our mouth.

The shower area had a handful of pieces of hair in it. Was also bummed that no complimentary hygiene items were stashed in the bathroom. I assume I could have come to the desk to ask, but we had a very, very late arrival and I didn't want to disturb being that it wasn't necessity.

I usually stay at Country Inns. This one is not as nice. The elevator makes a screeching noise that makes you wonder if you aren’t going to make it back out. The lobby is sparse, with cheap furniture, and not much of it. I’ve stayed there twice because I needed to be in that area, but I would stay elsewhere from now on. There were pills on the floor of my room, and a couple small paper wrappers that would be impossible to miss if you were cleaning. It lacks friendliness and warmth.

The hotel lobby, hallways and room smelled clean, and not bleach clean. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and their pillows were terrible (sadly I forgot mine from home) think flat pancake. But the bed was comfy and everything in the room was nice. The gal that helped us check in at the front desk was friendly and explained the pet policy to me. We will definitely stay there again......with my pillow from home 😉

I work in Dubuque and live about an hour and 15 minutes away. Had bad weather and decided to stay the evening. Made same day reservations. Got the 2 queen bed suite. Very big room. Comfy bed and the employee at the front desk was very nice and helgful. Will stay again.

It was a clean place which is always a great thing. We dont usually complain about things but they rave about the high speed internet. I think the dial up I had as a teen in the 90s was quicker. If they didnt put on everything how "fast" it was, it wouldnt be so funny to us. The hot tub was luke warm at best. The breakfast was a bit to be desired but better than just cereal if we were to give it a silver lining.

The check in process was awful. We were checking into multiple rooms because our golf teams were staying there and check in took almost 45 minutes, with no waiting. We had to pay for each room individually and run the credit card through for each room. After 2 times the card failed because of possible fraud, so we had to call the credit card company to approve the transactions. We told the desk person this would happen but they did not allow all rooms to be applied to one credit card transaction. It was ridiculous.

The check-in was simply odd. The front desk clerk didn’t say hi or welcome us. She just looked at us weirdly. Completely impersonal. No information given about the hotel, wifi, breakfast times. Nothing. Just “I need your ID. Insert credit card.” The hotel itself was fine; certainly not great. The room was clean, although a bit run down and had a musty smell. There was no ventilation system in the bathroom, which may have been the cause of the smell. Breakfast was ample; waffles, yogurt, a variety of breads, eggs and sausage. Good coffee.

The room was fine. It was the check in & free breakfast that weren’t great. The front desk employee didnt say anything at all during my check in. I walked in & greeted her. She said “name”… then “license & credit card”.. then “here’s your key”… THATS IT! I repeatedly said Thank You & other simple pleasantries to which she did not reply at all. It was very strange. Then at breakfast the next morning, there was no staff to be found. The tables were never cleaned, the 3 coffee pots were empty. There were several of us looking for someone to refill the coffee.

We stayed at another Country Inn and Suites so this one is easy to compare. They were both clean and up to date. The last one I gave a 5 star review because I couldn’t critique anything. This one…. we only stayed 2 nights but no one cleaned our room. We only cared because we needed more towels. If you are someone who cares about the beds and room cleaned I would keep that in mind. The breakfast was sad. First morning at 9 am they were out of coffee both in the kitchen and lobby. There were no coffee cups, spoons or plain cream cheese either. There was one Apple and one orange left. I had to ring the front desk to ask for coffee. The previous Country Inn had kitchen staff. She was refilling everything and cleaning up the entire time. I would stay here again because these little things don’t bother me much. Just letting others know not to expect much for breakfast.

Staff was indifferent at best, no polite greetings at any point in the two night stay. Not at all a welcoming atmosphere. Our room smelled like mildew, the bed and pillows were awful. The staff was utterly unresponsive when we told them our concerns. Breakfast was adequate though the juice was watered down to the point of why bother. Overall it just felt like we were inconviencing every member of the staff.

I liked that it was a quiet area and had a dining option within walking distance. I didn't like that we checked in on Thursday and out on Monday and we didn't have any housekeeping service the whole time. I would have been nice to atleast have the garbage picked up and fresh towels.

The front desk was friendly and efficient. The property was clear and accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. And because of the rates, I would probably stay here again. The problems were the breakfast was the worst I've ever had of hotel free breakfasts. The sausage and gravy was so coagulated it was inedible, the hash browns had a strange chemical taste, the mandarin oranges were old and dry, and the coffee was so weak that it looked like tea. I couldn't eat or drink anything. Also, the pillows were so insubstanti that I had to stack three of them to achieve the normal pillow height. Fortunately I brought my own from the car. Plus the room was very warm, and the A/C worked only sporadically, so I had a terrible night's sleep.

Breakfast service, particularly coffee, was disappointing. Before 7:00, the only coffee available on the first morning was the thermos in the lobby - which was ice cold. When coffee finally arrived in the breakfast area, it was so weak you could see through it. Coffee is important in the morning for guests and makes a good impression if it is hot and brewed well. This needs improvement.
