Really great hotel with only a few rooms . Very central location but still not too loud. Very good recommendations for restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed the pool and the whirlpool. Breakfast is much better then normally in Italy. We will come for sure again.

L’hôtel se situe en face d’un parc qui s’anime en fin de journée l’été. Il y a plusieurs restaurants/bars à proximité. La piscine et le jardin sont les highlights de notre séjour. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Was für eine wunderschöne Unterkunft am Rande der Altstadt. Das Hotel sieht von außen sehr unscheinbar aus, ist in die alte Stadtmauer eingebettet, tritt man durch die Pforte, kommt man in ein kleines Paradies. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Altstadt mit allen Sehenswürdigkeiten ist fußläufig erreichbar. Man schläft ruhig und bequem, das Frühstück ist sehr lecker. Ein kleiner Pool lädt zur Erfrischung ein, der Garten und Whirlpool zum relaxen.

This property is an oasis of quiet in a noisy city. The private garden is beautifully landscaped with a small swimming pool. Our room and bathroom were surprisingly large, with high ceilings. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Staff is helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back to this hotel!

Loved our stay! Staff especially Paoblo were amazing, always willing to help and books restaurants or transfers. Well located within walking distance to all sites and a square with plenty of bars and restaurants just outside. Breakfast was a good selection. Our room was on the smaller side, ok for us but others may not like. Pool and garden areas are lovely 😍 Beautiful hotel.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our two night stay in Palermo. The hotel is beautifully hidden behind a high wall and secure gate, and has a relaxing garden, pool and jacuzzi. Our room was built into the original bastion walls and was extremely clean and comfortable. The coffee machine and complimentary water were a nice touch. Breakfast was also excellent with a good range of options. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. There were also two good restaurants within a couple of minutes walk

On arrival through the gates of the hotel we were blown away by the outdoor space of the hotel. The gardens and the pool area were beautiful. We had a large room overlooking the pool which gave us lots of space and light into the room. The bed was comfy and we slept great during our stay. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and gave lots of recommendations for dinner and where to see in Palermo. The hotel is within minutes walk of many good restaurants and bars all filled with locals and within 10 minutes of the historic centre. We loved our stay here, it was so relaxing and having the pool area to cool off after a morning exploring was so welcome!

We had a large room overlooking the pool which gave us lots of space and light into the room. The bed was comfy and we slept great during our stay. The hotel is within minutes walk of many good restaurants and bars all filled with locals and within 10 minutes of the historic centre. We loved our stay here, it was so relaxing and having the pool area to cool off after a morning exploring was so welcome!

Mateo was excellent in communicating with me before coming over because I was going to be late. Siriana and Maria Laura were all so helpful during my whole stay and made my stay very pleasant throughout the 5 days I stayed at Bastione Spasimo, I would only suggest that the cleaning staff would clean the bathroom floor every day.

Great historic property with only 15 units. modern and very clean. Good breakfast and staff is very accommodating. Property is secure and in a good location for access to the main tourist area's, restaurants and the marina. Went on a food walking tour that was recommended by the hotel that was well worth the time. Hotel staff also went out of there way to arrange our transfer to and from the airport.

We came early ( off the boat from Naples) and they offered a space for our luggage, promised room 3 hrs earlier and feed us fabulous breakfast. Hotel is above expectations- it is set in 16 century defense wall. Rooms are superbly renovated with all the historical arches and walls. The atmosphere is peaceful with beautiful garden full of flowers and lemon trees.

I deducted one star from Property Conditions and Facilities because wifi was not working correctly in my room, and there was an issue with the mirror light in my bathroom, I was unable to turn the light off. I brought both of those to the attention of the front desk and they were very apologetic and friendly, however I had to check out before the issues were resolved.

Had an awesome time at this hotel. It is basically brand new and the room ceilings are like 20 feet high. A nice reprieve from the usual European under-sized and under cooled rooms. The staff went above and beyond. Would definitely return.

This was perfectly tucked away into a quiet, yet central location. The architecture was a perfect blend of modern and old charm. Our room was a bit small, however there are larger rooms available. The service was amazing, and we would recommend this to everyone.

Beautiful property and rooms. Fantastic stone ceilings in the rooms. We walked nearby at night and found beautiful old cobblestone streets full of restaurants, such interesting shops, and art studios where the artists are working on their various arts while also selling their wares. Gorgeous arts and crafts, leather work, jewelry. Excellent service from Mateo and Maria Laura at the hotel. Mateo greeted us outside the entry way of the wall on day 1 and gave us outstanding recommendations for dinner. Maria Laura stored our luggage for us for a while after checkout while we walked the city and gave me a free bottled water as I left because I was thirsty. We were able to arrange with the hotel ahead of time a shuttle to transport us from the airport to the hotel. They take of you. You really feel like a valued guest. Wonderful shower. Beautiful gardens. Delicious breakfast with lots of choices, including scrambled eggs, yogurt, pastries, fresh pineapple, and satsumas. All within the old wall of the city. It’s like a haven. And the central train and bus station are a 15-20 min walk away, which is so convenient for those traveling by public transportation.

Everything is new and updated, inside of an old building with amazing arched stone ceilings. The rooms and outdoor spaces are beautiful and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is in walking distance to everything, but in a quiet street. Our favorite hotel of the trip, we we were only sorry we couldn’t stay longer!

We visited now in januari-februari when there isn’t a lot of tourist. The staff is really amazing! They helped us so much during our stay. We rented a car and they helped us with parking, cities to visit and we even got a map with places and restaurants they recommend. And even the garden is so cute. Loved this place!

We walked nearby at night and found beautiful old cobblestone streets full of restaurants, such interesting shops, and art studios where the artists are working on their various arts while also selling their wares. Gorgeous arts and crafts, leather work, jewelry. Excellent service from Mateo and Maria Laura at the hotel. Mateo greeted us outside the entry way of the wall on day 1 and gave us outstanding recommendations for dinner. Maria Laura stored our luggage for us for a while after checkout while we walked the city and gave me a free bottled water as I left because I was thirsty. We were able to arrange with the hotel ahead of time a shuttle to transport us from the airport to the hotel. They take of you. You really feel like a valued guest. Wonderful shower. Beautiful gardens. Delicious breakfast with lots of choices, including scrambled eggs, yogurt, pastries, fresh pineapple, and satsumas. All within the old wall of the city. It’s like a haven. Palermo is a little rough around the edges but this hotel is an oasis. Having walked around most of the city, the hotel is in the best spot as it’s not too touristy and feels authentic. Perfectly situated on a quiet square with fantastic restaurants, wine bars and cafes a short walk away. All the main attractions are within easy walking distance. The staff were very welcoming and gave us great tips on where to eat, drink and visit. The rooms are well designed and clean, and the bathrooms are large with excellent showers. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a beautiful oasis once you enter the property. The staff is excellent. Paolo and everyone is so accommodating. Loved the feeling in this hotel. The only little issue is it seems okay to walk around during the day. However in the evening we always took taxis who end up charging you whatever they feel like

The hotel itself is excellent. You feel like you are in a true oasis. However the immediate area around isn’t that great. During the day we felt safe to walk around. However at night it is a bit sketchy and the garbage from buildings kept piling up. Even knowing this. I truly loved the place.

Really great hotel with only a few rooms . Very central location but still not too loud. Very good recommendations for restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed the pool and the whirlpool. Breakfast is much better then normally in Italy. We will come for sure again.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our two night stay in Palermo. The hotel is beautifully hidden behind a high wall and secure gate, and has a relaxing garden, pool and jacuzzi. Our room was built into the original bastion walls and was extremely clean and comfortable. The coffee machine and complimentary water were a nice touch. Breakfast was also excellent with a good range of options. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. There were also two good restaurants within a couple of minutes walk

We had a wonderful stay at Bastione Spasimo! The staff were fantastic, giving us a thorough tour of the room at check-in and explaining everything clearly. They spoke excellent English, which made things very easy. The design of the room was modern, stylish, and well thought out. While there were just a couple of downsides, they didn’t detract much from our stay.
