Pool was nice, hot tub was overcrowded most people didn't even have swim suits on, otherwise would have been nice. No towels available on shelves. Breakfast is not advertised as having to pay for it. When booking it says breakfast included, which is purposely tricky wording. Also there was no indication anywhere on the website or in the hotel that stated the pool area would be closed at 3pm on new years eve.

Really enjoyed this hotel . lovely lobby, big open space with a nice bar restaurant and coffee wine bar also in the middle. From check in to check out staff where friendly and helpful. There is work taking place at the moment on maybe 2 or 3 of the floors so there is some noise from 8 am to 8pm but it never bothered me at all. Rooms are great seem fresh enough and there is nice new bathroom / shower which I assume is the work that's going on on other floors at the moment. My son loved the pool which was basic but clean and well maintained with a nice hot tub . The gym looked as though it's been recently modified an looked great. Food was fantastic in the bar but there is also some restaurants close by. Overall I'd really recommend this hotel . And they are working to improve it even more. Will come again

The property is undergoing significant renovations which include jackhammering and industrial saws all day. If you will have any reason to work from the property during the day, stay elsewhere.

A.C. did not work. There were little gnats all over the room. One restaurant is open. No room service no shuttle. No valet and the portico was closed due to construction so having handicapped travelers in my party made it more of a challenge. The hotel was really lovely otherwise. It just did not suit my expectations

I didn't like that the reasowe rented thia hotel was because of the pool and when we arrived the pool was not in working order. We were told the pool would be open by 7am the next day and it was not.

Multiple events at the hotel, which is to be expected, however 2 of the 4 elevators were broken. Guests were carrying their luggages up and down multiple flights of stairs. If you waited for an elevator expect to wait at least 10 minutes. When entering my room the drawers were open, hand towel was damp, and other things made me feel as if someone was just in my room.

Such a lovely hotel! There was a super soft robe inside the closet, the mirror had a waterproof application which prevented it from getting foggy from the shower, and they even provided lavender oil to help with sleeping. The pool was heated and, although packed, both the pool and hot tub were well maintained. The free parking lot was also a huge plus. I also liked how it was located a little outside of Chicago, so traffic wasn't bad and the neighborhood was quiet, but a little lacking when it came to food options later at night. The only other downside would have to be having to pay for WiFi and the gym, but honestly I didn't mind. Hotel-wise, everything was perfect for our stay and I definitely recommend!!

Sheets had black stains on it and there was fake nails left in the couch from prior guest or housekeeping. Guest services was very polite and professional. Nice hotel, housekeeping coukd be better.

Check in was quick. The first room had a Smokey smell & the water from sink dripped out. I requested to be changed & the staff was very accommodating. The second room had same smell. Overall this hotel needs a deep clean & a serious update in the “rooms” department

Upon arriving to our room there was an oder throughout the the whole room, the next day when it was cleaned the smell was gone. The rooms are expensive so I feel that this should not have happened

It was very dirty. The bed sheets and all the bedding on the bed smelled dirty as soon as we came in. Towels in the bathroom with stains. Stains on the bed and carpet. It was not a clean hotel. I will never be returning to this property.

The rooms were clean and spacious. However they just have one vent for the AC, and even after setting at 60F, the room was warm. Complained to the management the first day and even after replacing the filter, the condition was similar. Was hard to manage three day stay without proper AC. Also it would be helpful if they can manage the noise levels when there is party happening downstairs.

To use the pool, you have to pay $15 per person, that was the reason i picked this place vs others, they need to disclose this on the website or on pictures of the pool. The beds are full size and sunk in the middle of both beds, the beds are worn and need to be replaced, my wife slept on the floor due to the bed condition.

The property and rooms were nice. The noise is hard to control (open atrium with most of not all of the rooms facing into it), but the property was nice. They rather have you book on their website to get more "exclusive" perks, but because we booked on Expedia, they were less inclined to give us any extra.

Charging $9.95 per day per device for wifi is a rip off. Thats very cheap like how motels might nickle-n-dime you. If you have big brand name, do not do such pathetic things. The bathroom wooden frame for the counter is made of untreated/unfinished cheap wood. It warping because of all the moisture. The room was very big and spacious but the bathroom was teeny-weeny - if someone’s swings the door in, it will hit anyone brushing their teeth or sitting in the toilet. The safe vault did NOT work period. The shower water took a full 10 mins to get hot. We attended a wedding event Saturday. There weren’t even appropriate signs for Saturday wedding event. The signage was better for the Sunday event, The bagels for breakfast had some yellow powdery residue on it on both the days. I’ve never seen bagels with powdery residue or anything non-bagel-y on it anywhere. My first thought was - is this mold by any chance ? For breakfast they had an oddball $10 room charge printed on the check. What am I to make of it ? The waiter explained that it doesn’t apply to me. Then why print it to confuse me !?! For the brand name, property, facilities and Whats on offer needs to be flawless.

The front desk girl missed my wake-up call. I was 2 hours late to a work meeting and lost a client. I Missed my ride and had to take the shuttle. I told her my phone wasnt working properly and she guaranteed me they would place awake upcall.

I arrived with a family of 5 for a weekend stay . While my mom and son were checking in their front desk person was very informative about the property (restaurant hours,gym hours ,do you need more than one key,what the property has to offer ,what’s close by ) etc however my front desk representative Bryan simply Che led me and asked was there anything else he could help me with 😳. I said yes ,I would like to know where things are located and what the hours are as well …like give me an introduction spill not just check me in and say thank you. Brian needs to work on his customer service skills…nice guy but just there to do the job is what it gave me . The hotel itself was fantastic all the way around . Nice ,very clean and spacious. The gym is open 24 hours which is a plus. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again for sure

We’ve stayed at Westin numerous times and have never had an issue. Yesterday we had an issue with the toilet not flushing. We contacted front desk and asked if they could send someone and they never did. We ended up having to go down to lobby to use restroom during our stay which was pretty inconvenient.

My husband and I attended a conference. Front desk very efficient and friendly. The hotel rooms need updating. Where the hotel has a problem is with the bartenders at the bar. This the second time we have been treated rudely and unprofessionally by the female and male bartender. They will ignore you and lie about prices and availability of the products. It makes you not want to order a drink.

On New Year’s Eve, we were informed that the hotel bar would close at 10:00 PM and that there would be a New Year’s toast at midnight. Based on this information, we went down to the bar at approximately 9:30 PM, only to find that it was already closed. At that time, we were also told that the New Year’s toast was not happening. Even the front desk staff acknowledged that they had heard the same information regarding the toast and were surprised that nothing took place. This was extremely disappointing, especially given that it was New Year’s Eve and we had planned our evening based on what we were told. Additionally, upon entering our room, we noticed bandages placed over the smoke detectors, which strongly indicated that there had been previous smokers in the room. We notified the front desk immediately after discovering this, as it was concerning and should not have been overlooked prior to our arrival. The miscommunication continued on New Year’s Day when we were told the pool would close at 9:00 PM. Later, without any prior notice or disclosure, we were informed that the pool had actually closed at 5:00 PM. This inconsistency was frustrating and further added to the overall confusion during our stay.

Was a nice hotel. Only complaint was it was an open core building. We were on the 10th floor so heat rises and it was super hot on our floor. Which made our room on the warm side even when I turned down the thermostat. If you are staying in the summer there, ask for the lowest floor possible. But other than that all the workers were great and it was fairly close to O’Hare airport.

Although the Westin was away from the city, we found the area of Elk Grove to be really nice with many places to eat and get coffee. It was a bit slower pace which we appreciate. It has a nice restaurant inside and a snack/coffee shop. The staff was very attentive if you needed anything.
