During our stay we found that the staff was excellent, the room was large and breakfast was nicely done with a large variety of food. However, the hotel itself was not in the best shape. We had dead bugs in the extremely dim overhead bathroom light, the vent fan hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the edges of the carpet were frayed. The elevator was finicky and liked to get stuck on the 4th floor, as well as having buttons that didn’t always work when you pressed them. Our room was on the 5th floor which made using the elevator an adventure. Lastly, the fire alarm in the lobby went off twice while we were there. The fire department came each time and had to check the building room by room. No smoke was detected and no one was evacuated from the hotel during this time. The staff didn’t seem very concerned. Perhaps it happens often????

Definitely the best hotel I’ve been to. The room was clean, I always had fresh towels, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. I didn’t use the gym but I did see that it was small but it has some dumbells, a bench and treadmills. The surrounding restaurants were great! 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

Beds were comfortable and room was spacious. Bathroom so dark you could not even navigate and shower had large calking running down the tiles. Swimming pool was dirty and tiles were crumbling. 80% of the lights in the pool room were out so when the sun went down it was creepy and seriously dark.

This was an overnight stay but in just 24 hours, I came to the realization that I won’t be back. Check in was very smooth, no complaints there. We the room was a nice size for the price and seen that I had kids during the stay it was perfect. There was no body wash in the bottle in the bathroom. When the shower is on, somehow water leaks/shoots out the shower. So that made the entire floor wet. I went in the fridge and it was leftover snack from the last stay. Meaning they didn’t even clean the fridge. I took the kids down to the pool which did not look like the pictures. The pool really needs to be done over, the stairs/ladder in the pool is shakey/unsteady. The sides of the pool are chipped and missing cement. I wanted the kids to get out because I didn’t even trust it but they wanted to stay seen that was the reason we stayed there for the pool. The next morning they went down for breakfast, I feel it could have been more options and quality. An to top it off, I dint think the pool was cleaned overnight or that morning. Seen it was a lot of hair in the pool. Just not a good time, very disappointing.

Staff was friendly, breakfast was excellent, and there are 2 restaurants within a few hundred feet of the hotel. We used the fitness center and the pool and everyone was happy. It is an easy drive from there to the airport and convention center so it's a great alternative to the expensive hotels in that area.

First, at check-in, I had to wait about 20 minutes before anyone came to the front desk. Second, when we got to the room, the carpet was dirty, we found a spider on the pillow, and the shower gel was empty. I asked the front desk if I could have room service and specifically mentioned the shower gel. However, when housekeeping came, they only changed the bed sheets, picked up the trash bag, and replaced the towels. The carpet was still dirty, there was still no shower gel, and they didn’t even pick up the empty water bottles from the floor. They also didn’t add toilet tissues. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would never come back to this facility.

Everything was truly wonderful, and honestly, this is just who I am. The cleaning staff should ensure that the light switches are properly cleaned, as they appeared to need attention. Alternatively, providing sanitary wipes in each room upon check-in would allow guests to clean surfaces themselves if desired. We went to retrieve sheets for the pull-out bed and found none, so we had to strip the main bed and use those sheets instead.

Our room was very run down. There were holes in the curtains. Stains on the couch and on the wall art. The shower made a high pitched sound as we showered. I needed to do some work and wanted to plug in my laptop and the plugs by the desk did not work. I was very disappointed especially since I selected this place based on the high rating that this hotel had on Expedia.

The room was dirty the beds and linens were cheap and old. Housekeeping didn't go to my room and I had to call for towels multiple times. There were boogers on the wall and the room was so dusty that I sneezed every minute I was in that room. The hallways were not well kept wallpaper peeling off of the wall. Worst hotel I've stayed at in this area and I travel here often.

The stay is good. Nice rooms with nice water pressure in the shower. You need to stay on top of the staff for maid service. They asked me on check in if I wanted daily maid service and I said yes..after the first day I came back to my room still not made up. I had to call the next morning to ensure maid service. This is my second time staying here in the last 4 months. They include breakfast but honestly it’s ok if you like microwaved eggs. I honestly don’t eat the breakfast. The fruit is not fresh, the eggs are gross. Honestly I just hit the McDonald’s up the street. Some guests don’t respect quiet time and I after 11pm I’ll hear people talking in the hallway..it’s usually foreigners and they go in and out of their rooms slamming the doors. I had to actually peek out and tell them to stop being so loud and respect the quiet time that is posted in the hallways. The rooms are nice though.

Generally, I liked the hotel; but my room (419) had a few problems. For example, the blackout curtains were not wide enough to block the flood lights in the front of the hotel. Naturally, I didn't realize this until late at night. Also, there was a picture missing in the bathroom as evidenced by the brackets on the wall.

The rooms have some outdated technology in them and are also without a microwave. They will let you use the microwave in the breakfast area though. Breakfast is good and overall it is a nice property. There are two restaurants right across the street.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was big and spacious that had a sofa bed, mini fridge, bar sink, and office desk area. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Lots of space at the bathroom vanity area. Room has a safety box which came in handy. Hot breakfast was great. There was plenty to choose from - waffles, eggs, oatmeal, cereal, fruits, bagels/ bread, juices, coffee/ tea. We appreciate the staff refilling food items when needed.

While the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming upon check-in, the overall stay was far from pleasant. The room service phone in our room didn’t work, which was frustrating on its own. However, the real issue came one night when an intoxicated guest was causing a major disturbance in the hallway on the third floor. This individual was extremely loud, repeatedly coming in and out of their room and waking up other guests, I personally was woken up at least five times throughout the night. Since the room phone was out of order, I had to call the front desk from my personal phone. They told me they were trying to calm the person down, but unfortunately, the situation was not handled effectively and the noise continued for hours. Overall, the lack of action from the hotel staff and the malfunctioning in-room phone made for a very uncomfortable and exhausting night. I would not recommend staying here based on this experience.

Just to be clear, my star ratings may not be an accurate representation. I just needed to get to this point to share my experience. I had booked a room for 2 night. We worked most of the day and then drove almost 5 hours to the hotel. We arrived around 8:30PM and went to check in. I was asked if I had received a text. I had not. I was informed the hotel was overbooked so they did not have a room for us. After a few phone calls and paperwork, we were sent on our way to the Doubletree Hotel, 1 mile away. The guy at the front desk was not expecting us and called the Hyatt to see if we “were the only ones” they were sending over! While the doubletree was a nice hotel, we’d had a very long day and it was inexcusable that we did not get the room we had booked!

First of all they gave away our room that was already paid for. Then they tried to compensate us for that mess by saying they’re giving us Hyatt reward points and then never gave use the reward points on our account. It is very unprofessional and very disappointed.

Highly recommend this hotel! We came from out of state and needed to check in early to get ready for a 4:00 wedding. I spoke on the phone to Pinky who was working the front desk and she was amazing! Not only was Pinky kind and courteous, we arrived earlier than expected and our room was ready for us to check in. Thank you Pinky for your outstanding customer service! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and their breakfast wonderful! We will definitely stay at Hyatt Place Itasca the next time we are in town!

It was inconveniently located—getting there from downtown Chicago using public transportation took hours. I wasn’t informed clearly about the distance and lack of shuttle service or easy access, which caused unnecessary stress and wasted time on arrival. Staff were polite, but not particularly helpful or proactive. For a solo traveler relying on transit and hoping to explore the city efficiently, this location is not ideal. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have a car or need to stay specifically in the Itasca area. Also they were renovating the pool while I selected it while it was ok and they did not inform me and did not accept to compensate it…there noises in hallway during late at night by staff who supposedly were cleaning around mid night…I do not recommend it at all.

Nice hotel 15 minutes from OHare. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Hot Breakfast was more than adequate. This is a great place to stay at if you want a place close to the airport.

Fantastic experience! I was visiting downtown Chicago for a wedding and this place is only about 30-40 minutes from downtown Chicago. If you want a nice, clean, affordable and quiet hotel, this is an excellent choice.

It was nice to have a free breakfast buffet. Good food options for the breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff and clean hotel. My only downside is the small restaurant menu. However there are 2 restaurants a few hundred feet away and lots of options for Door Dash as well.

Overall, a nice place to stay. My room was very spacious and accommodating. They had friendly staff members, that made me feel welcome. Pillows are just clouds, so you may want to bring your own pillows, when staying here, honestly. Free breakfast was good, with some variety and options for most everyone.

Room was by the elevators and the was noise from them. The AC unit was so loud I couldn't sleep. Breakfast, the scrambled eggs were overcooked and so dry they crumbled and would not stay on the fork. Coffee was very good.
