The hotel needs updated. The hall floors felt spongy under our feet. The elevator wasn't centrally located. Our bathroom floor was cracking and the room and hotel had a musty smell. The bed was comfortable and the gal who checked us in was very nice. This hotels rating definitely isn't what is noted

Pool was broken the 4 days we were there and the roof is falling in. We booked the hotel because of the pool. First day there we found a cockroach in the room. Staff was friendly.

Called ahead to make sure their pool was open and heated. Upon arriving and after checking in found out their pool was closed and had been for a while. Would not have stayed here if I had known that.

I'm not sure what exactly was going on during our recent stay, but the pool was closed (or "out of service", as the sign on the door said), and then in the morning, their coffee and juice machines weren't working, either! A real bummer; they were perhaps having overall electrical issues of some sort? I don't know, because the desk clerk revealed nothing to me. He seemed pretty busy checking out things on his computer. We had stayed here a year prior, and it was a nice enough place, but this experience leaves me never wanting to return.

The breakfast options were very limited (cereal, waffles & pancakes; no yogurt, fruit or proteins at all), so if you don’t want carbs, you need to eat breakfast elsewhere. That’s not a big problem, but I picked Quality over adjacent hotels because they said breakfast was included. The entrance/drive to the hotel had several potholes, but that could be the restaurant’s property.

Bathroom toilet seat was a mismatch to toilet bowl which had blood or poop on it. The seat was also filthy nasty. There was poop smeared on the shower curtain. The quilts had dirty spots all over. The curtain sheers were ripped all across. I stayed there 8 1/2 months ago but will never stay there again.

This Quality Inn is a little gem! Was hesitant about booking but so glad we did. Lobby, breakfast area, rooms and bathrooms were extremely clean!! Beds and pillows very comfortable. Easy check in, safe area, plenty of parking and the new restaurant next door was very good as well. Would definitely stay again next time passing through!!

The room had not been properly cleaned and there was dead bugs on the bed and floor. There was something wet and sticky on the table and trash on the floor and night stand. Water damage on the ceiling in the bathroom as well.

Staff is great and easy to work with. First room air didn’t work but quickly and easy change of room. Second room ac worked but was loud and rattled most of the night. Facility is just aging, price reflects that.

Place was run down n old. Lots of slamming doors. Carpet was kinda stinky. It rained very heavily the night we stayed , our ceiling leaked and dripped water all night. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

It was a great place for one night not more than that. The bed was not that comfortable but super clean. Very humid. The AC worked great. Breakfast was simple but got the job done. The shower was super hot! The scent in the lobby was rediculous it also drifted into the hallways. No need to have it spraying mist all over the place especially when trying to eat breakfast. All in all it’s a place to sleep while traveling, and our car was safe there. Can’t beat the price!

Lady working was very friendly and had no issues with me and my son checking in at 1:30am. (Had reservation elsewhere but was told no check-ins after 11:30pm). Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

It's hard to find a fault with this property for the value. However, two items would make this hotel perfect. First, we were forced to sit in the lobby for 30 minutes with our luggage and loaded luggage cart because the front desk staff said the manager won't allow him to check guests in more than 15 minutes before check-in time of 3 o'clock pm even though the room was ready. Second, breakfast was all sugar and carbohydrate. You could get a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, but you have to pay $3.50 for it.

when getting to the property we were told that we were 30 minutes early. seeing that all the rooms were ready to occupy and there wasn't even one car in the parking area this didn't seem right. we needed to meet someone and wanted to freshen up before. next time we visit Metropolis we'll find a more welcoming hotel.

There were 3 of us but only wash cloths for 1. Asked for 2 more and got major attitude for it. Was told we had to bring the dirty ones up before we could get clean ones. Explained again that they were not in the room.

I enjoyed this hotel for it's clean, comfortable and spacious room. It's close to the interstate, easy to find and had lots of parking. It's located near food, gas and a convenience store. I liked that the room had a coffee maker and a frig. I would stay again as this had everything thing I needed at a great price.

You can tell it’s an old hotel while modernized. The shower head needs replacing because it barely had pressure. So little pressure the water felt cold by the time it touched and it was turned up all the way. There were no protein options at breakfast only the waffle machine, pancake and oatmeal you didn’t have a microwave to heat. Only fruit was a small apple. I understand continental but there wasn’t much. Otherwise it was quiet, felt clean.

I'm giving only 2 stars because of one serious issue and that was because at 6:30 a.m. there was not any hot water for a shower. The room was clean, the bed o.k., the t.v. was small but adequate. The freezer portion of the fridge was frosted completely enclosed. But yet no hot shower at 6:30 a.m. I always stay at Choice Hotels because they offer hot breakfast but this hotel's idea of hot breakfast is a waffle maker.

There are other accommodations in the area and I would definitely try those before I would stay at this place. Common areas smelled bad. Room was damp and had multiple damaged walls. Shower and tub had a peeling coating. Needs a drastic remodeling.

Nice place, right off the freeway. The room, bed, and bathroom were fine. Breakfast choices were very limited, with no bread(s) or bagels. The "oj" was not really juice, imo. Good place for an overnight stop on a long trip.
