This property needs serious cleaning. Get rid of all the carpet. It’s wet and smelly. And you can actually see that the carpet is not vacuumed. The tv remote in our room was covered in what I hope was food. Luckily I travel with Clorox wipes. The elevator was frightening, it bumps and jerks along, then stops abruptly, jarring. This was our second visit here. Will be our last. Sad, because IHG properties are our favorite

The parking lot is honestly the worst part of this place. The parking spaces could be a bit bigger to accommodate getting luggage in and out of the car. Otherwise, the hotel isn’t hard to find, close to the instate as well as a good selection of gas stations and restaurants. The room is comfortable and the staff is always friendly. I’ve stayed here 3 times and will continue to stay here for the foreseeable future.

The only thing negative (and it could be my fault for overlooking this) but I booked it because of pet friendliness, and the rate was a set amount, and they charge $25 more if you have a pet. That should be more up front in the rate details, in my opinion. Otherwise the property & staff have been exceptional & it’s remarkably quiet in the room for being so close to a busy interstate.

Have stayed here 3 times with my dog. They are pet friendly and even have a large grassy field in front of hotel just for dogs. The area is clean and well mowed. The breakfast is always delicious and fresh. Staff has always been very nice and accommodating.

We were welcomed warmly upon entering and the lobby was very clean. Check in was easy. The whole hotel looks newish or recently updated, however a closet look reveals a lot of little issues with the room. At least in ours. Nothing that would ruin your stay but you can tell they don’t really fix issues or fix them properly. We did like the room and it was very clean and smelled nice. The king size bed was comfortable. The room was large which was weird because the bathroom was small. The toilet was so close to the sink that you could not stand between so only one person could be in there at a time. The Dove soap for everything was nice. My wife especially enjoyed that. Everything from the iron and fridge worked as expected. The one major scare we had was the elevator. It shook so much and made a lot of weird sounds. The continental breakfast was a C at best. On Sunday they had a pancake machine that didn’t work, dry turkey sausage, and overcooked cheese omelets. The options overall were lacking. We might stay here again. The only reservation I have is that elevator. It really needs to be maintained.

The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and quick. So, I rated service as good. Our room was large with a lot of unused space but the bathroom was so tiny it was difficult for one and impossible for two people to be in there at the same time. The shower was not the cleanest with hairs present from the previous tenants. The shower never got hot, just warm at best. The breakfast was OK but nothing special. We were disappointed for the price they charged.

Loved seeing the lobby decorated for Superman. Room was quite comfortable except there was a bad odor in the bathroom where it seemed like it had not been cleaned throughly from the last guest. Breakfast setup was delicious each morning.

We enjoyed our stay here which is hard to even say for a hotel review anymore lol. It was clean, quite, nice staff and other guests were pleasant. Only thing I could find that threw us off a bit was the size of the room, it was just really small. But it had a big bathroom so I can understand how that takes up a lot of space. And the pool floor needs a DEEP cleaning. Pressure wash with bleach, anything. It was pretty gross. But the pool and hot tub were clean and well kept and the whole swimming area felt like a sauna. Honestly. We had a great stay minus my toddler throwing a tantrum and hitting another girl in the ear with a pool toy. (She was fine) kids enjoyed it and it was a bonding moment for all of us for the quick trip.

We liked the staff from chexkin to breakfaat to cleaning crew. The breakfast was fine..room clean and bed very comfortable. We stayed in room 321 and seriously not sure how this building was inspected and found safe. Dips in the floor in bedroom and bathroom. Weirdest thing. Never encountered this before in a hotel. .

So awesome having bright lights coming into the room at night from outside lights . Here take this coat hanger and pull the curtains together with the clips. Couldn’t believe that’s what they told me to do.

Nice newer Hotel. Convenient to the nice little city of Metropolis. Go downtown and see the largest statue of Superman and get some barbecue or Italian grub. Very comfortable beds, pets welcome there.

I stay here every time I come to Metropolis. I have a fine stay every time. The area around the hotel isn't very scenic, but the hotel itself is ok. The staff is exceptional! They are why I continue to come back.

Check in was smooth, hotel is clean & the breakfast was delicious with many options. The staff at breakfast were very friendly. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool or hot tub as we were not there too long. But if ever in the area I would for sure choose this hotel again.
