The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Some of the furnishings though are getting frayed at the edges and there don't seem to be enough enough luggage carts in good repair. Also, the pool has not been brought back into service after covid. Additionally, there's no Continental breakfast. Additional handicap parking spaces would be nice when at capacity.

Hotel room was fine. Some staff was friendly. However, the hotel’s website is entirely misleading. Their direct website notes a pool, restaurant, and hot breakfast. Pool was closed. Restaurant permanently closed. Then, we went to the front desk to ask where the breakfast is. The person looked at us as though we had 6 heads between the 2 of us, and said, “we don’t have breakfast?” Oh my bad! Your website only says so?

The outdoor pool was not open and the area around the pool was not pleasant to look at. Older hotel, not well groomed on the outside. One of two elevators weren't working. 2 towels and a washcloth were what was provided. We were told the hotel was sold out and no other towels would be available. There were like 6 cars in the parking lot. Pillows were old and the inside stuffing was balled up and separated.

The view from the room was quite nice, very tranquil with walking paths and ponds. The bed was very comfortable. The elevators were briefly out of service, but were repaired very quickly. The gym facilites looked promising but most of the cable systems have been heavily abused by previous guests, so most of the fitness center was not usable. The fitness center has a lot of potential - I would stay again, but hopefully the gym will be fixed by then.

Expedia advertised that this property has a pool and free breakfast. Neither of which were true! No food at all in this hotel not even a vending machine and the pool was in bad disrepair and probably hasn’t been open for years! Ceiling on the 2nd floor leaking water to the point that made it almost impassible to get to our room without getting soaked in the process!!!! The carpet in the rooms were disgustingly dirty and the bathroom was so tiny only one person could be in there at a time, I’ve never seen such a tiny bathroom!!!! At least the bed was clean but I didn’t bring a black light so who knows! I will be pursuing a refund!!!!

The staff was super friendly. I stayed for 3 nights and check-in was a breeze. My comments are for the building / facilities. The ice maker did not work on the 2nd floor. Their was no continental breakfast. The swimming pool was closed which had I known that I would have booked elsewhere. It's closed for season renovations - but it seems to be indefinite. Overall the facility is a good value, but this is not a destination hotel. If you're only using it for a place to sleep and bath; it'll suit your needs just fine. Also, while there was wifi- it was over an unsecured connection. While that may not seem like a big deal to some people, it's actually incredibly easy for your data / information to be spied on. It should be a closed network with a password. The fact that it isn't is a huge security risk. Use at your own discretion.

A good budget friendly place to stay if you are trying to save a buck while attending a convention. It's a nice 10ish min walk from the back of the hotel on a pathway, around a beautiful pond, and up a small grassy knoll to parking lot.

The first room I was given had a broken toilet and was dirty. They switched me to a different room and that one was a little better. I left after staying one night. The man at the desk promised me a refund for my second night and that I’d get my security deposit back. I’m not optimistic that they will keep their word on this. The rest of the hotel seemed very dirty. Garbages overflowing everywhere, an odd smell, and toilet paper scraps on the carpet leading to my room. The hotel would be great if they took the time to take care of it.

Very dirty, stains in all sets of sheets they brought me. Dust everywhere, crawlers, no. Breakfast, bad management. Staff some are friendly but don’t know English. Manager speaks English but not friendly at all.

Filthy. Bathrooms unwashed. Room was tidy, but not clean at all. Found other peoples small belongings. Pubic hair and dried urine surrounding toilet seat. Room was less clean than a public restroom. Extremely uncomfortable. I’m not a particularly clean person, but my room was disgusting. Could not leave fast enough.

Fire alarm went off in the morning, sheets seemed dirty and broken down, paint chilling off ceilings and what looked like boogers wiped on the ceiling near shower. Ice machines were not woeking and when I asked for help I was asked why type of towel I needed which had nothing to do with my request. Air conditioner in the room was set to 60 but theres no way it was any colder than 70 in there. The hallways were so hot as well as lobby.

I checked in late and woke up to find the bathtub had been left filthy and covered in the previous guests body hair. COVERED. I was told my room would be reversed and I wouldn’t be charged but that didn’t happen. I don’t normal do reviews unless the situation isn’t made right. Caution advised

To start, all the amenities at the hotel were closed except fitness room. Hallways were very dirty and needed vacuuming. Trash bags left in hallways longer than 24 hours. Our room was not vacuumed, toilet ran all night and multiple clumps of hair found throughout room.

The property was conveniently located near the highway. No dining options on the property, other than vending. The rooms were not cleaned properly, so we switched rooms. The new room was no improvement over the first. The whole property needs to be exterminated for small pests, bugs, flies, and crickets etc. This was our second unsatisfactory stay at this property.

The bed was not at all comfortable and the tub stopper did not stop the water from draining wanted to soak in the tub but couldn’t not to mention the drapes do not fully shut out the morning light so I wasn’t able to get a good rested night I will not be returning

There was noise from the elevator so loud that the bed was shaking. This was going on every time someone used the elevator. And that was going on throughout the nights as well. Toilet was running and refilling constantly.

The pictures are partly true, yet decieving. First of all we were excited to have a balcony, the doors to go out of the balcony were super hard to open and close, then, the balconies are about 2 ft wide. It's ok for standing, but you cannot sit outside or enjoy the view. We had a view of a brick wall anyway. And it was very dirty on the balcony with water stains and dirty cobwebs. The hotel is noticeably older. The ceilings were peeling and had water stains also in the room. There were 3 pillows on our king sized bed, they weren't that comfortable, the sheets and bedding looked and felt dusty and gritty. The water in the shower had good pressure and good hot water, The hair dryer was old and dirty. We were not near the elevator yet it sounded like we were constantly at night. The room just had a crappy motel 6 feel to it. They did have coffee in the lobby, but no breakfast. The hotel did feel safe, yet it didn't seem like the pictures at all. I was just expecting to have a better atmosphere than what was advertised. The price was very reasonable, yet I would hope anyone shouldn't ever need to pay over 80.00 a night at this location. I would try it again, but don't have high expectations of staying here.

Overall it wasnt the best place I have stayed in Chicago. The bed was super hard. The room was very out of date and dark. The light was flickering on one side of the bed so didn't even use it while i stayed. The bathroom was not in the best condition. The toilet seat and cover was super beat up. It had a very bad odor like it haven't been scrubbed or the water system was not good. I would not be retuning back to this location again.

Room was very hot when I arrived even though the room was prepaid because I knew I would be a late arrival. It took over an hour to cool it down and the air conditioner was very noisy. It would have kept me up if I had not been as tired as I was. No coffee cups in the AM so I had to retrieve the room ones. Not a place I would return to.

Wallpaper was torn in the hallway going to the room. Closet doors were off the tracks. Smallest bar of soap I have ever seen. The body wash bottle was left over from the previous guest and was empty. The toilet would not flush unless I covered the reservoir and jiggled the mechanism. There was no TV remote in the room, the replacement did not work, finally someone from the front desk brought another and got the TV working. The hotel needs some TLC. Certainly not worth a four-star rating.

The staff was the best. We had some issues with the heat and they were there to fix it immediately. I also left something in the freezer and they were so kind to keep it cold until I returned to get it. It was reasonably priced and in a convenient location.

I’ve had an amazing extended stay at the Wyndham Garden Hotel. The location is peaceful and beautifully landscaped the scenery outside truly adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are clean, the hotel is quiet, and it’s conveniently located near shopping and dining options. What really stands out is the staff, especially Edita at the front desk. She is incredibly kind, professional, and helpful every single day. Her welcoming attitude made my stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a safe, comfortable, and scenic place to stay with outstanding customer service, I highly recommend this property.

There was supposed to be a restaurant. But it was closed and I was nt notified by them or Expedia that was the case. So I had to check out early . No Refund. Grrr. On the positive side staff were good, especially Laura and Sayed.

Staff was rude and unaccommodating. arguing with customers. Elevators broke down for a full day and hotel offered no compensation. my bathroom did not have any toilet paper and was there for 5 days and didnt get any service. had to ask for everything.

The staff is extremely rude and non customer service friendly.the room provided 2 bath towels, 2 wash clothes and two wash clothes. When asked for more I had to go to the front desk to get them. The next day at 10 am I stopped on my way out to ask for additional towels to be put in my room. Sure no problem I was told. I got back in the room roughly at 8:30pm and my room wasn’t clean and no towels were brought as requested. I called the front desk and ask why and was told she was busy could she call back. I waited 20 minutes called back to be informed they didn’t have enough towels and if I had wanted my room clean I had to request it. If I wanted towels I needed to go to the front desk. Needless to say I was furious. There is also no Continental breakfast. I would never recommend this this place and I will never ever stay there again. Throughly disgusted.

I nearly didn't stay due to reviews but I am glad I did. Value for money, this is a great stay. It's not upmarket, but it's quiet, clean and comfortable - perfect for the convention center. Probably one of the best value businesses stays I have had in the US (and there've been a lot).

Always stay here when I come to Chicago. It’s way cheaper than surrounding hotels and you get a great value for your dollar. Easily accessible to the freeway and lots of food options close by.

Room was clean. Beds were comfortable and had firm pillows for side sleepers. Nice walking path behind the hotel. Problem was that it showed an outdoor pool and free breakfast on Expedias site. Neither were offered/ available.

The property is kept clean but many elements are run down. I had luke warm water in the shower, plumbing was wobbling, Nd i had a large 1980s style jacuzzi in my room. This left little space for placing luggage. Curtains and hallway wallpaer need up dating. The howl hd dining room, continental breakfast and bar listed on site. None of this was available.
