Convenient location for downtown activities. Elevator was broken during visit. Close/secure parking is very limited. There is an overflow lot, but it did not feel particularly safe. If you’re looking for a decent value for price to stay downtown, this is satisfactory.

Our room was ok except for the shower. The nozzle was old and wouldn’t adjust. The elevator must be original. Four people barely fit, and no way would work if they had luggage. They were also push-button controls….not modern at all. There was limited parking at best, and at one point our only option was to park in a rutted parking lot next-door. We were there to attend a concert and I guess you get what you pay for, even though our room was close to $250 a night. This is a three star hotel at best.

Washing machine was broken for the entire time and we needed to do laundry, the stairwell smelled like mold, our room was very humid and smelled funky .bathroom was not the cleanest. I was charged 96 dollars more than the price I was given. . Overpriced for the location and room. Spent 5 days in a similar hotel in Cincinnati for half the price before going to Indianapolis for 5 days. Pretty disappointing. Asked for a receipt at checkout. Printer was broken. They said they would email me the receipt but never did. Maybe because they charged me more than what I was quoted?

The elevator did not work, I have a disabled sister and had to carry her to the third floor. Also, the parking lot is good for 14 spaces. On orbitz it says free parking but that’s only for their limited 14 spaces. We had one towel for three people and they never brought me extras after I called and asked.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean as were the sheets. Also offered breakfast service too. Only issue was that the elevator was broken which was inconvenient but they did offer a full refund if I wanted to cancel because of it. In the end, it wasn't a deal breaker. Plus, free parking while being near to downtown is great!

When I arrived, I pulled the covers back. The sheets were not clean and there was a bedbug on the sheet. We were moved to another room but at that point, I did not feel safe. We went to the store and purchased drop cloths to place over the bedding and checked out the next morning.

The only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to downtown. You can park and walk everywhere. Parking is free... however, it is in a small dirty basement that has old building materials stacked all.over the place. Free breakfast too, if you get there early enough before they run out. The carpeting in the hallways was wet and moldy. We moved rooms because our room had a broken bathroom door that wouldnt close and a sink that didnt drain. Second room smelled of weed. Front desk staff was friendly and tried to do the best that they could with what they were given to manage. This hotel is a dump.

We like the location, very easy access to downtown features and Gainbridge. The staff are great. However, a few things not so great; hallways are hot and carpet smells funky; breakfast not very good and kitchen staff too worried about talking to each other to service visitors; showerhead too low - I had to duck down to get under it; shampoo empty; elevator is archaic and two years in a row one or more elevator is not working. Let visitors know when they are getting a room with no window.

It was going well, easy parking it looked clean and a convenient area. The problem was when we went to bed I was woken up at 2am by an itch on my arm and then my leg. Turned on the lights and found a huge bed bug!!! I put it in a cup and took it down to the reception, he didn’t seem to be yo worried about the situation and I didn’t want to make a fuss about it because I was tired and had to get up at 5am and just wanted another room to get some sleep. Didn’t get an apology or nothing!

Everything was terrible. Our room was dirty when we arrived. Hair in the sink, stuff on the floor. A booger wiped on a lamp sgade. There is overflowing trash everywhere, pipes in the parking garage leaking with plastic around them. By the elevators there were boxes and old heating units. People knocked on our door throughout the night and at 8am the next morning they had construction workers right outside of our room on the inside using saws. The cleanliness was brought to the attention of the hotel staff and while we were out for the day all they did was go into our room and make the bed they didn't clean the toilet the sink vacuum or anything. I've been contacted hotels.com with my concerns to see if they could move me to another hotel unfortunately they were not able to and they personally called the hotel while I was standing in the lobby in the hotel staff just laughed at our concerns. Definitely will never stay with them ever again. The photos online are completely misleading.

Everything was great but the AC unit in our room. It was barely working and coming out of the wall. Oh the elevator is super slow but that was fine too. We didnt complain or anything because it was a busy few days with the Indiana Fever home game but they need to do an update on the rooms. But service was great room was clean bed clean etc just the AC was a big let down on a 90 degree heat wave.

Basic hotel, nothing fancy. Just a place to sleep bothing more. Rooms are pretty small and can be noisy due to helecopter place next door. Careful of elevator as the buttons were broken when i went. Also bed sheets not clean. We didnt say anything aince it was pretty late at night when we noticed. But please check that the first. Also no hand soap or facial tissues in the room. Other than that, pretty good location and price.

Room is OK - dated but clean. Long, narrow hallway is not well air conditioned. Checkin fast and easy. Convenient covered parking. Not far from skid row. I hope my notes help to improve this property. It was my 2nd year in a row staying at this hotel. The rooms are nice, the location is great, accessible to the downtown’ main restaurants, and the parking is great. Nevertheless this year, we felt the experience was poorer: room was extremely noisy, with AC not cooling but sounding like a truck going uphill, and the exhaust in the bathroom loud as a race car. The bed sheets were not pristine clean. The lady in charge of the breakfast seemed to be more worried about her phone, letting coffee, cups and plates lacking, no replenishing the food (while still within time). Lastly, the strong scent of lavanda at the lobby and aisles with humid, saturated and stuffy air were not also pleasant. I really like this hotel and hope these notes can help the management make this place great as it was last time I was there.

It was close to downtown but we did not have hot water in our room and it did not have windows. We felt like we were in a dungeon. We ended up switching rooms to get hot water. The next morning the maid WALKED INTO our room while we were sleeping to clean it. It was 9:00 in the morning. She then came in AGAIN at 10:15. Apparently, the front desk didn’t tell her we had switched to that room.

Notified management that the A/C was not operating properly. No response. Asked the front desk for hot water. They said you have a microwave in your room. I said it didn’t work and neither did the coffee maker. Response: “Nice.” No fix. Located about a block or two from a train line that runs ALL NIGHT. Bedspread was dirty upon check-in. They brought us a thin blanket while we were gone and left it on the bed. Fortunately, it wasn’t cold enough in the room to need a heavier bedspread. I could go on, but you could imagine. We will return to Indy for future trips. This hotel will not be an option for our stay.

The property is in the middle of nowhere to be honest. Not that big of an issue typically because we only sleep in the hotel. However when asking about how checking in works at this hotel the front desk clerk was extremely rude. I was early for check in and was simply asking what I needed to do when the front desk said that every hotel works the same and I should know when check in is. I’ll admit I should have known but the rudeness was unnecessary. As far as cleanliness, I have stayed in far more clean hotels but have also stayed in much worse, everything seemed to have a brownish tint to it which made it feel dirtier than it actually was as well

Stayed in Indy to see comedian Jeff Arcuri at the Old National Theater. This hotel offered prime location, and FREE parking! We booked the hotel a couple months in advance, and when their elevators were down, they messaged us to let us know, incase we needed better accommodations, and needed to cancel the booking and rebook elsewhere. I really appreciated that communication! We did not need elevator, so we were okay with that. On the day of arrival, the gentleman at the front desk was very nice. Guess what? One of the elevators was up and running! Anyways, we did have to change room's only because the heater was set on 75 and would not turn down lol. The room was extremely hot. It is the middle of December, so we needed to keep heat, just not that hot lol! The same gentleman helped us and was quick to give us a different room. Although we were only in the 1st room for 5 minutes, both rooms were very clean. The bed was comfortable, and we had a decent view with our second room. They do have breakfast, but we didn't attend. I always leave a cash tip anytime I stay at a hotel, and this time I forgot to grab cash. I liked the fact that you could do a quick check out and leave a tip through your phone. Although they had a few minor issues between the elevators and the heater, if we attend more events in that area, we will definitely stay here again!

Our experience was best described as a comedy of errors. Upon arrival my wife and I attempted to adjust the temperature in our room. We notified the front desk staff, who moved us to a second room, where we experienced the same problem with the air conditioning unit. Finally, after being moved to a third room were we met with a unit that functioned properly. The elevator, ice machines, and parking were barely operational or abismal to navigate.

There was a drunk careening around the lobby at 10 PM when we returned to our room. There were very loud conversations outside with men and women arguing. The sound inside (people in the hallway) and from the outside was quite loud. The crowning blow was around 11:00 PM a man and woman came storming down the hall angrily banging on a door and shouting full-voice to open up. We thought it was the police breaking a drug deal. But it was two grown men yelling and threatening each other, with a woman yelling, too. It was so severe we thought guns might be an issue. It was so frightening. And there was *no answer* when we tried to quietly call the front desk for help!! It was on the third floor roughly around Room 305.

Check in was great. We knew it would be busy so expected to have to wait, especially after my early check in request was denied. Much to my surprise the check in staff was well prepared and we were able to check in to our room early. We booked 2 queen beds but only got one king which was annoying but there were only two of us so we just dealt with it. The elevator was out of service but I didn’t deduct stars for that because they did alert us ahead of time and it wasn’t a deal breaker. The real issues were in the morning. FOUR SEPARATE TIMES MEMBERS OF HOUSEKEEPING TRIED TO ENTER OUR ROOM WITHOUT EVEN KNOCKING between 7 and 9 am. Check out is 11. Thankfully we had the security bar in place so they couldn’t open the door all the way. Then we went down for breakfast 30 minutes before breakfast ended. There were no plates, no coffee, and no one at the front desk to ask about it. When someone finally showed up behind the desk, it was the guy that tried to barge into my room unannounced the 4th time when I was able to make it to the door in time to tell them to stop trying to come in our room. 0/10, would not recommend.

The biggest disappointment was the front desk staff. The room was fairly cold and I asked the front desk personnel for an extra blanket, they said no. They gave a mediocre explanation but said no nonetheless. Also, the front desk staff did not inform me that housekeeping only comes when requested. I learned that the hard way when the trash and dirty towels were not taking out after a long day of exploring downtown.

Somethings I wish I'd known. The hotel is across the street from a busy hospital, so ambulance sirens will wake you up at all hours. The hotel is very old so anyone talking on the sidewalk can be heard in your room. Our room had an adjoining door, also old and not sound proof, so when our drunk neighbors came in at 3 am my children were awoken with every profanity known to man. There is very little parking. There is overspill parking in a gravel lot next door, with zero security, not even a fenced area or line of sight to the hotel. We had to play with the dangling cable in the back of our tv to keep a connection. The fire alarm in the gym was ripped out of the ceiling. There was a cigarette butt in our AC. The AC was so loud it sounded like a helicopter (which also land at the hospital). We tried to use it to block out the car noise. The staff was definitely overworked, but friendly. This hotel is about 2 blocks from a much nicer, updated part of town. I would definitely move in that direction if I were to visit again.

The location of this property is EXCELLENT for downtown Indianapolis. The staff was warm and helpful. The neighborhood is a little sketchy with homeless drug addicts a block away, but the property itself is nice.

Continental breakfast was the best I’ve had at any La Quinta, great job!!! The manager was also very kind and came upstairs with drano when the sink did not drain and fixed it promptly.

Breakfast service was pretty bad. We were there for two mornings and they ran out of items, and were in no hurry to replenish. People were waiting for coffee both mornings and no one was in a hurry to fix the issue. We also went down and asked for one extra towel. We were told they had none. What hotel runs out of towels?

Ran out of breakfast items three days in a row during our conference. Staff seemed unconcerned. Had only one small, old, very slow elevator. Ice machine on our floor did not work. Rates were double what usually pay at other LaQuinta Inns but quality was much lower than other experiences in southern states.

This hotel is my benchmark for adequate. Bed was comfortable enough, shower worked better than expected. There's just an odd smell in the stairwell. The breakfast was fine, but I don't think I'd have that coffee ever again. The staff was helpful and friendly enough! I had come for GenCon and the location was great; just a 15 minute walk to ICC, but far enough from everything to be quiet at night. Wi-Fi worked great. Also, it's weird that it appears the entryway off the sidewalk is the same space as the entrance to the parking lot. I wouldn't be mad if I ended up here, but I may look for another hotel in the future.
