Holiday Inn Express - New Albany

Terrible the pool is always broke and they don’t tell you until you get their they lady at the front desk is a crack head and it’s just a horrible hotel!

Parking was easy, breakfast had amazing options and the staff we're wonderful!

We booked this hotel with my children and their kids so the kids could swim in the pool. We could have stayed at numerous other hotels!! They did not have the heat in the room or the water turned on. They tried to act like it just had happened but we talked to other families there and they said the hotel knew for days there was a problem but did nothing to fix it. Very disappointed.

When we arrived for check-in we were told pool was closed that morning. One of the reasons we choice this hotel. Got to our room and could hear music that was coming from the from door of the hotel as you walk in. We heard that music from check in to check out. Our room was located directly above the outside speaker! Told the lady at the desk and was told she told cooperate said the music had to stay on 24/7. So much for a nice quiet relaxing getaway for my wife and I. The tv had like 15ish channels and no way to stream for Netflix etc. The breakfast was great and the room nicely updated.

The indoor pool is disgusting…green algae all along the sides of the pool! Looks like it’s been that way for awhile…

Hotel was nice but we booked it because they had a pool we check in they tell us it’s open until 10. Well sign said closed so asked them and they said they shocked it and it’s closed for the rest of the day .. that was the hole point of coming here !!!!

Rooms were very clean and staff was super friendly. Pool was awesome.

Would like more lights in the parking lot, near the street side. We stayed in room 217and the curtain didn’t close all the way and the lights were shining through.

The indoor pool was closed due to cleaning when we arrived Friday evening. Then Saturday it was still closed and Sunday morning closed. Why advertise a indoor pool if its going to be closed. Nit far to our kids who looked foto the pool.

Upon check in, I was told the pool was closed indefinitely.

The room was clean, and the bath was stocked with shampoo/ body wash/ lotion. Bedding was clean and relatively new ( checked with UV light). Check-in staff was friendly and efficient, they noted that I had stayed there before, and asked if wanted to change my room to a room I’d stayed before ( 1st floor rather than 2nd or 3rd), at no additional charge). The entire staff respected a DND door flag.

Room was clean. Bathroom was stocked. Bed was comfortable. Staff was super friendly. We didn't eat breakfast or use the amenities. It was a nice stay!

This was a horrible stay! I checked in but didn’t go to my room immediately. We got back late. Sat our stuff down & saw a roach race across the table! Killed it then flushed it. Went to call the front desk & the phone didn’t even work! So we checked the room throughly and didn’t see anymore. I had already put on night clothes, too tired to go to the front desk, plus the parking lot was full. I knew they couldn’t change my room. Checked in the bed, saw nothing, so we went to sleep. At 5:45 am we were woke up by a lady screaming at her husband. I thought she will stop in a minute but she didn’t. Looking back on it I should have just called the police because I picked up the room phone to call the front desk but had forgot…..it doesn’t work!! She screamed at him on & off for 2 hours. There is no way that the desk clerk didn’t hear it…no way!!! Around 9 am the woman was outside in the seating area & started yelling again. Now I know everyone at breakfast heard her. I literally opened my blind giving her a look then she stopped. Go to take a shower and find mold in the corner of the ceiling! When I checked out Anglea was working. She was so very nice. She said she would give me a couple of nights free for my issues. I told her I wasn’t looking for anything free but I appreciated her doing that. Turns out I didn’t get any free nights. I have to pay. Very disappointed in the entire experience!

Our room had bed bugs!! I have pictures as well. I asked for a refund and the hotel refused!

Room was dirty. Hasn’t been properly cleaned in a very long time. Will not stay there again

I booked a suite with a separate room area with pull out couch for my son to sleep in. When I went up to our room it was just a single room. The front desk person said it was Expedias fault for the pictures being wrong. When I asked if I could just pay for an upgrade they said they were all sold out. Absolutely insane, worst stay of my life.

The hotel itself was perfectly nice and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the room was unbelievably hot. We adjusted the in room heat but it never did cool down. It made for a very uncomfortable night of sleep. I'm not sure if something was wrong with our particular room unit or not, but had we been staying more than one night I would have to have someone fix/resolve the issue.

Unfortunately this was not a very good stay. We had extremely noisy neighbors, playing loud music which I did complain about and the front desk did take care of it. Even though it lasted for only a short time. We had been traveling for 12 hours before arriving so this was the last thing we wanted! Also, we had no shower curtain in our bathroom!

Property seems to be under renovation, my floor had half painted walls, missing trim, numerous patches, though no workers were anywhere to be seen. My room was comfortable, but in need of updating. My room door didn't close properly unless you slammed it really hard.

I booked for a king bed but when i got there the room was 2 queens and I was told that it couldnt be changed. This was very inconvenient for my party and made the trip much less pleasant. I would not recommend booking through expedia again.

Never actually stayed here. When booking this room the system bumped me to the next day and I needed that night. Front desk wouldn't pick up the phone.

The front desk clerk was extremely professional and yet very friendly. I am recovering from an intense surgery to my right hand and arm. He was so kind to help me lift the heavy items out of my vehicle. He refused the tip I offered but I insisted! The room is clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the awful Dove hygiene products. Please consider using something that isn't full of perfumes and chemicals.

Front desk was slow at check in. Storm flooded roads and knocked out power to hotel.

The hotel itself was your typical Holiday Inn Express. It was being remodeled and smelled of new carpet and glue. Clearly being upgraded. Room was good and clean. The difference maker was the staff! From check in to check out we had the most polite, respectful, helpful staff of any hotel I've stayed in, and I've travelled the world! They were fantastic!

They let us check in early whiched was so helpful with out plans and was very easy going. I recommend staying here

Front desk person, Ashley, was excellent. She is very friendly and made an excellent recommendation for dinner in the area.

Booked two queen beds and arrived and was told that room was given to someone else and i had my two boys with me. I asked if a cot was available and was told no. Went outside and they scrambled around and found a room.

New Albany is a quaint little town just across from Louisville. The hotel was clean, close to places to eat and the staff was very nice and helpful.

It seemed like it was not in a great part of town. The surrounding houses were junky

The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. All the employees were so nice too. It is a little difficult to find though.

Easy access from interstate

The property was quite and the area around the property was quiet. It was close to the expressway for easy access. I felt safe withe police department nearby.

Breakfast was very good. The staff was great and accommodating, as they gave us a room with no window shade or curtain. They did give us an extra blanket to put over it so no one could see into our room. I don’t understand how they can be ok knowing a room was exposed to the public like this and a part was on order? They should have not had this room available. The surroundings around the hotel was poor and unsafe. Many walking around the property on drugs.

This hotel was nice in the inside and outside. Also clean room and nice staff. Small town but a lot of cool things in the area and it’s close to downtown Louisville and the casino. I’ll definitely come back again.

Easy access to interstate.

Check in was extremely easy with friendly staff. The room was spacious. The bed was fantastic. Plenty a room in the bathroom. Nothing negative to say at all. The breakfast is probably the best I’ve had in two weeks travels. The eggs tasted like I made them at home and did not need doctoring up. The pancakes were good. Two types of sausage. And the oatmeal, it was real oatmeal, it was not cream of oatmeal. Every staff person I encountered was extremely friendly.

Mediocre. For an overnight passing through, it's ok. For a family vacation, I'd stay elsewhere. Breakfast was not good.

Breakfast was above the norm, attendent was very accommodating. Room was good size and clean. Was a good night sleep.

Nice for what we needed it for. Breakfast was great, staff was lovely, a little dated and the garbage receptacle outside was full needed to be emptied.

We had an excellent experience. No complaints. Very clean, convenient, and great free breakfast.
