Enjoyed our stay. Hotel staff very personable except for morning desk attendant who could struggled with explaining receipt for room was previously paid for in advance. Parking was an additional charge so frustrated as arm was up entire stay which allowed cars to come and go that did not parking fee charge.

Nice room. Bed was good. Pillows however were not great. Wished there were some firmer options. Hotel charges $10/dY for parking. This has been a Mariott for as long as I remember seems ridiculous to charge for parking. Additionally we only had to key card into the lot the evening we arrived. The entire next two days gates were fully up so lot was open to anyone. What was the point in paying for it?

The room itself was very nice and clean. The pillows were the usual pancake pillows and they didn’t have black out curtains which was disappointing. The Jacuzzi was out of service and then the elevator started malfunctioning so we had to take the stairs alot since we stayed two days. The Starbucks in the hotel was pretty convenient even though they made drinks with no urgency whatsoever.

This is the second time I have stayed here and both times it was great. The fitness center was always clean. The Zephyr Bar/Grill is wonderful. The bartenders and staff are always so friendly. Kaitlyn (bartender), Lisa (I think a manager?) were wonderful. Janelle at the front desk was so sweet, as was everyone else I talked to.

We have stayed here multiple times. It just gets worse. We check the beds for bugs and there was a gross notable stain on the mattress cover. The pillows are so flat and only feather. The mattress has sagging parts. Won’t stay here again.

Pro’s: plenty of parking, professional/friendly staff, comfortable bed, pretty lobby, room service, bar/restaurant/Starbucks inside, easy to find, nice neighborhood/area Con’s: paid parking for a nearly empty lot, single ply TP, mold/rust in bathroom, horrible quality pillows, no makeup remover towel, thin/worn out towels, ripped curtains eliminating the benefit of blackout, loud guests visiting for sports tournament playing ding dong ditch around 11pm It’s probably better than some other options in the KC area but details are lacking and I don’t think it was worth the price. The lobby area is updated and clearly the draw, especially in their pictures. Rooms were not that great for what we paid.

There was a lightbulb missing. Outlets are loose . TV remote and station access iffy. Beds excellent along with key. Zephyr was outstanding. Checkin very good.

Wow what a terrible night we had. Kids running up and down the halls until 2am, slamming doors. We called the front desk several times. They said “sorry there is nothing we can do. Maybe you can call the police”. Seriously, nothing you can do to be responsible with guest you serve, by taking care of guests not causing disturbances. In the morning, after 0 sleep, the manager tells us she can comp us a 5$ Starbucks coffee. She cannot do anything about the room charges because we booked through Expedia. A site you put your hotel on to make it more findable.

So first off, let me explain my ratings. When we arrived to check in for the room we had booked more than a month ago, we were informed that the hotel was closed and our reservations were canceled due to a water line break. We were told that there were two other hotels within 5-7 minutes of us that had availability. When we found another hotel at 10:30 PM, we discovered that the rates were much higher because it was NASCAR Weekend, KU vs. TCU at Arrowhead, and there was a large concert along with Family Weekend for the University of Kansas. We ended up staying at the Courtyard by Marriott down the road, where the staff informed us they knew the water line had been broken for a full week and that the hotel had been closed all week. Additionally, they didn’t inform us of this in advance, nor did they offer to help us find other accommodations. They simply said it was an unfortunate situation and there was nothing they could do. Here’s the kicker: We called at 11 AM on the morning of our arrival and asked about check-in time mentioning we had a reservation for that day. They said nothing about the hotel being closed; they only stated that check-in was from 4 PM to midnight. What a joke! We also paid in advance and were informed that we should be reimbursed within 4-5 business days, but since we booked through a third party, Expedia, it may take longer.

Check-in host staff was very professional and kind. The hand sanitizer dispenser in the Lobby was empty but, the staff immediately informed me that it was broken and handed me a personal container to keep. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable and clean. Free parking was very much appreciated!

Mostly, the staff was so professional and courteous! We had an unusual circumstance and my entire stay was refunded by the General Manager. We will be customers for life because of their heartfelt response to an unexpected tragedy during our stay. I can't express in words the love they showed me and my family.

I was told that a water main burst and no one could stay at the hotel. An employee stated that Marriott would find other accommodations for those inconvenienced, I never received any notification or explanation. This was a poor way to treat guests.

I made this reservation about 45 minutes before my husband would check in because he’s on the road and needed a place to sleep after driving 10 hours. All of the hotels around the area are ridiculously expensive and this one was the cheapest at $350.00/night. I booked through Expedia and paid extra for breakfast in the morning and when he checked in, they did not see his reservation even though he had all of the information and the lady at the counter (didn’t have a name tag - didn’t tell him her name) was rude, unpleasant, bothered and short with him. She couldn’t answer basic questions, didn’t give him his breakfast vouchers, didn’t tell him where breakfast was served or the hours it’s available and charged us for a room TWICE. When I asked about the $350 charge - she couldn’t give me a clear explanation as to why they charged that to our card. All she said was “hopefully it will fall off” She did not give her name, she did not apologize, she answered the phone with “hello”, she didn’t welcome us into the hotel, she didn’t smile - it honestly felt like we were an inconvenience. I have never been more disappointed in hotel customer service - and I worked in the hospitality industry for years. It’s absolutely unacceptable. And for nearly $700.00 - I expected better. Hopefully $350 will go back to our card because that was ridiculous to be charged AGAIN.

Went to see NASCAR in KC and this was the first hotel on the list through Expedia. The hotel was just 15 miles or about 20 minutes from racetrack. Hotel was full of young boys and girls for tourneys. I’d definitly re-book this place. Beds were super comfy, and a Starbucks to energize yourself without being overpriced. Hotel was close to freeway, restaurants, shopping. Staff was there, but nothing needed other than check in and out. Very clean.

No cart around to get luggage upstairs at tome of arrival. There was 2 of us and only 2 lsrge towels. While the breakfast was better than some hotels the cost was too high for the options. I would have rather had a hot waffle i made myself. The free continental breakfasts at a less expensive hotel has better options.
