Homewood Suites Kansas City/Overland Park

Excellent hotel for the price. It has a nice outdoor pool. Convenient by I-435.

The room we got was amazing the only complaint i had was the hot tub was not working but still worth our stay definitely be back!!!

Was told the pool was heated and it wasnt, the hot tub wasnt working and the grill was in poor condition, the free breakfast was decent

Pros: So first checking in was so easy and the staff was very nice. Once we got to our room I noticed that it was very spacious. There was a full kitchen pots and pans and cooking utensils. Also there was dish soap, kitchen towels, dishwasher, and coffee maker. There was a pull out couch which I appreciated because my 10 year old stayed with us as well. The bathroom and bedroom were nice and spacious as well. Their breakfast was really good and unlike I’ve seen other hotels do. The weight room was great and had lots of good equipment. I also made my way to the front for snacks many times (we were snowed in) and they had lots of great snack options. Cons: the biggest con that I had was that it wasn’t as clean as I’d like it. The first night we stayed I got some Clorox wipes and wiped down the handles to everything and the doors had splatters of who knows what on them. Thankfully the main traffic areas were clean (shower, toilet, sinks, floor) but other than that kinda dirty. Also we needed a room for a few more nights and we couldn’t stay in the same room so they moved up to a different floor that was under construction. There were fumes and nails everywhere and we were traveling with a 1 year old and 10 year old so it was not a viable option for us. I don’t think it should have been a viable option at all for anyone tbh. Overall we had a good stay.

The property was so “pet-friendly” that it was not “people friendly.” Our allergies were through the roof, dogs barking, people coming to breakfast in PJ’s, breakfast area was worn and tired. Same subpar breakfast daily.

We were really upset about the pool and hot tub. It says online it’s in working conditions and open. We really wanted to get in the hot tub and relax before my surgery In The morning. It didn’t say online hot tub and pool was closed. I should get some money back for the inconvenience staff was nice. Just so frustrated about the hot tub

Checkin was exactly at 3 pm - so don't arrive early. Otherwise, pool was a great place to hang out and clean. Breakfast was plentiful. Beds comfortable but floors squeaked above as did beds when you sat on them. Comfortable stay but surroundings were highways yet convenient to relative's home and KC.

Great hotel. Close to all the things we like to do. Only ding is the fitness center. No free weights just cardio machines. One treadmill the elevation wouldn't work. Also very small.

Arrived 20 minutes after the scheduled check in, was told room wasn’t ready they would check on it. Sat in lobby for over an hour and asked again when room will be ready, was told they didn’t know. Sat another 30 minutes in lobby with two upset and cranky kids. Asked for a refund to go to another hotel. Was told they were cleaning our room right now. Waited 15 more minutes. Manager says she is going to check on our room. Finally after 2 hours we were given our room. Room was ok. Pool was noisy and could be heard in room. Gap of about 2 inches under hotel room door was odd. Found a pair of someone’s contact lenses holder in the bed while we were sleeping. Won’t be returning.

Clean, quiet, fantastic free breakfast. And the staff was the best!

This is probably one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at. It wasn’t just the room it was the entire building and property. The whole staff was friendly. Large selection of amenities. If you need anything it is properly there. Kitchens were well stock with dishes, pans and utensils. The only thing I would suggest is a waffle or pancake option.

Hotel was very clean & in very good shape. Outside was beautiful & well taken care of. Staff was friendly. Centrally located to our business in Kansas City.

Room was clean and ready when we arrived Hotel property was also clean, quiet and felt safe Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom space was perfect for the family to spread out and not feel cramped We will definitely stay again

The suite was spacious and comfortable, much nicer than we expected. Very good quality for the price.

We stayed one night for a soccer tournament, family of 5. The room was more than enough space for us. It was clean, no problems for us. We will return if in the area.

Took a short family weekend trip to visit the KC area and to take our 11 y/o to her first Chiefs game! The wife and I have visited the KC area now about a half dozen times, but we never have stayed in the Overland Park area. Homewood Suites made us feel right at home. Check in was a breeze and all the staff were very courteous throughout the weekend. Breakfast was delicious with great options. Room was spacious and having the fireplace in the living area was a nice touch as my wife is cold 24/7! The room and furniture are a little dated, but cozy. Bed was comfy and everything was clean. WiFi was good. Tons of shopping and eating in the OP area and very easy to navigate to other parts of KC. We were able to get to everything we wanted to see in the KC area such as Union Station, Gordon Ramsays Steak, and Arrowhead all with about a 20 minute drive time. We very much enjoyed returning to our suite every time we went out and that’s a great sign you are staying somewhere pleasant. Would definitely stay here again!

All in all a great place to stay. My one complaint was that housekeeping service asked if we wanted our room cleaned and I politely told them no. They then came back while we were gone and cleaned. They ended up throwing away a Starbucks Cold cup that I had just bought or took it, not sure but it was gone. When I addressed it with the front desk lady she seemed bothered that I was bringing it to her attention. She told me they’d look into it. When I checked out the next morning and asked about it, the new guy had no idea what I was talking about. We stayed for 3 nights and spent a fair amount for this one concern to be completely dismissed.

It was fine. Check in was SLOW.

I was having a special night with my husband and I paid for a room with the fireplace. When I got there there was not a fireplace. And instead of trying to accommodate me in any way, I was just told there was none available.

Room was not ready at promised check in time delayed our plans. I kept on getting told they were working on it, and never really checked or followed up on. They were more upset I booked thru Expedia than anything.

Coffee and cookies upon arrival was welcoming. Clean rooms w/extra blanket and pillow. Usual free breakfast but everything was hot. Check-in was fast and friendly.

Nice place for a long weekend! Close enough to everything yet quiet neighborhood to take an early morning walk! Definitely recommended and will stay again!

We rented the 2 bedroom suite, perfect for our group kitchen area was really nice. Wonderful complementary breakfast loved it….the ladies at the front desk were great.

The customer service desk staff tries but the staff in the food prep very sloppy some of the cleaning staff sloppy no pride at times with their work. Breakfast service could be better! No effort in it.
