Super 8 by Wyndham Natchitoches

Rooms very outdated, under construction on outside, sketchy area.

Bleh. The facility was clean, and the folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful. This place definitely conforms to the Super 8 by Wyndham branding. Barely bare bones. The bed was a piece of plywood with sheets on it. Ouch !!. Bring your own fleece. The walls are paper thin. If you like to eaze drop this is the place for you. NOTE: the desk is not manned 24 hours. If you were to demagnetize your key, you cannot get into the hotel let alone your room, and there is nobody to let you in. Just say'n.

Would have been good to have a restroom in the lobby or close to it available at check in Sometimes you're just coming off a long trip when you check in.

The “suite” was very outdated and needed repairs upon arrival. Definitely not worth the extra money spent. Also- there isn’t any breakfast per se. The bowl of oatmeal provided wasn’t what was expected. There are no vending machines like in the pictures either. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let people know that there is no elevator on site.

The tv did not work properly. I called them front desk several times and no one ever answered. The hallway was hot and smelled bad

We chose the Super 8 Natchitoches for its proximity to NSU and the price. We only needed a place to sleep before spending the day at the university. The gentleman at the desk was polite and professional. He did his job and got us checked in quickly and efficiently. He made sure we were aware of a $50 hold he had to place on a separate card to cover any damage to the room or smoking we might do. Once we left the lobby, we were greeted with a sour smell and mustiness in the hallway. The smell was stronger in our room. The air conditioner was not on at all and room was humid. I turned the air on and once the circulation started the smell improved. The bed were firm and the sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean, and the towels were nice. The shower had low pressure and the shower spray barely reached the middle of the tub. This was definitely not meant for taller people. Walking on the carpet in bare feet was a mistake. The carpet was almost sticky. It felt like it left a residue on my feet. I’ve been to many a Super 8 and usually they are basic, clean accommodations. I won’t be coming back to this location.

Stay at Super 8 in Natchitoches, LA Paid Expedia $97.02 for room online, of which $13.72 was for taxes & fees. Super 8 charged us $93.60 for room, & $78.60 for taxes & fees. After considerable arguing, calls to bank & threatening a lawyer, Super 8 reversed the $93.60 for the room, but only $48.87 for taxes & fees. So they ended up charging $26.13 for taxes & fees. Even though Expedia said all taxes & fees were included in the amount paid to them. I called Expedia. They are looking into it. Room was clean except corners of floor in bathroom was filthy. We’ll NEVER stay there again & recommend no one book there! Expedia said it appears that Super 8 in Natchitoches is not following their contract.

Very old and dated motel with very poor standard of cleanliness. Room smelled of dogs and could hear dogs all night Wifi had been hacked and had to change all my passwords Breakfast very poor Bathroom especially poorly cleaned

This is a horribly rundown, ugly, smelly property. The entire place is musty and moldy. Also, there was no breakfast other than granola bars. Everything smelled musty. There was a stain on the toilet seat. The nightstand had bubble in its top. If it hadn't been late when I checked in, I would have promptly left. The price was right when I booked it, but really, no price is right for such a dump.

This hotel had many issues. When we first walked in, we noticed the huge bleach stain in the whole carpet down the hallway and it smells like pot. When we got to our room, we noticed that there were brown stains on the curtain that looks like feces. There was hair on the pillow, and the lampshade was falling apart. The remote control is grimy, and the bathroom has patch walls and mold. There was not even a full roll of toilet paper, so we asked for more toilet paper, and the lady at the desk brought us extra towels. We saved one night out of the two that we had booked. The beds were awful as the springs were almost poking through the mattress the next day when we came back to our room, we found roaches on the bedside table in the wall by the headboard. At that point, we decided to pack our things and leave. I was told by the person working there that I would be able to get a refund but the hotel managerrefusedandhotels.com says they are not liable since I paid at the hotel. Also, I was charged over $300 for two night, and online it says that the typical rate is $54 a night, so I feel scammed all the way around. The hotel does not match the pictures posted. I have no idea why anyone has given this hotel a decent review.

My stay was horrible. First off, the room was filthy. The hallway smelled like sewage. My room was at the end of the hall and staff kept propping the door open with a rug. Patrons and employees smashed led outside that door and the hotel worker blamed me for the smoke smell. I NEVER SMOKED INSIDE THE ROOM!!! They charged me $50 for smoking and refused to refund it when I explained that I hadn’t smoke inside that dirty ass room with cobwebs on the ceiling and roaches inside. I don’t believe the sheets were ever changed and I had to sleep on top of the covers. This is essentially and neighborhood sex motel.

It lacked everything, the pictures of the building and room wasn't like the pictures on the website. The room had an odor plus had electrical wiring exposed and mold on the walls.

The rooms were very small the bathroom very small

The beds looked liked they were not changed from the previous hotel guests. The room was not at all what it looked like online. Badly in need of renovating the room: paint cominf off of the walls in spots, looked dogs could have chewed odd part of the bathroom door frame, refrigerator door would not open except for about 5 inches. One employee had his pants atleast 4 inches below his waist, so that his underwear was showing. And, moat importantly. A hotel guest was auguing with someone and they were using extremely bad language. We did not feel safe. Hotel said they called police twice. Would not recommend staying here.

The manager was very nice and allowed me to see the rooms before checking in. It's an older hotel so don't expect anything luxurious. We did rest comfortably.

I requested and paid for what I thought would be 2 queen beds, but they weren't queens they were doubles. The beds had 1 very thin blanket on each bed, there were stains on the top blanket. The refrigerator was hot and made an awful clicking noise. It was all around not a great experience. The breakfast was not breakfast at all. They had a pot of oatmeal that was gross.

It was horrible. Room was TINY. Only half the a/c worked. And it was caked with dirt and dust. Had it on high, and temp as low as it could go. After an hr in the room we were still sweating. When i asked for a room change because the ac wasnt cooling the room they denied me. Even though they had offered an upstairs room or downstairs room to begin with so i know they had a spare open room. Their solution? "We can offer you a fan". 85$ and a 50$ deposit to have to stay in a room that wouldnt budge from 86°!? And only way i could be remotely comfortabke was to use a fan? No thanks. They wouldnt refund either. 85$ for an hr of sweating our butts off. I will say this, GO TO MOTEL 6 down the road! Rooms are 4x the size! Their acs work. And there arent roaches! Do not stay here! It was horrible!

This used to be my go-to place to stay in Natchitoches, but it's under new management and it's just not the same. It used to have a really decent breakfast, and Wi-Fi in your room. Not any more. However, it is quiet and has a comfy bed. If you're just looking for a no frills place to sleep, this can be a good choice.

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The pillows were super great but the bed was hard and we could feel the boards in the mattress. Did not sleep much at all.

It was clean and the staff was very helpful in every way. Will stay there again.

I have no complaints at all for this Super 8. My husband & I are in town for work and this is a convenient and affordable option. Room was clean, front desk was very helpful. We’ll definitely stay here again.

When I checked in, I was greeted with a very friendly lady. My check in was very fast, almost as if she knew who I was when I stepped in the door. We started chatting and, before we knew it, we had been talking and laughing for a few hours. She treated every guest that came through the door the same way. As much as I travel, it’s really nice to be greeted with a smile and a warm personalized welcoming. Every hotel needs someone like her.

Scott was awesome as always. Every time we have stayed her he is fantastic. The Manager (Calvin?) checked us in and was very nice and made it easy. For us Scott is the star, He always remembers us and is very helpful. Suggested a great Restaurant for my daughters birthday dinner and is always all around sweet and helpful

My experience was terrible. The 1st room i was given was occupied and unclean. The 2nd room i was given smelled of heavy smoke. The last room i was given had sitting water in the tub and the water was still running. Because of the sitting water, the room was full of gnats. I turned in my room key and left. Even under the awful conditions, they stuck to their no refund policy. If i could give 0 stars, i would. I ended up booking a room at the hampton inn. I do not recommend super 8 at all.

I will not stay at this property again. My brother asked for a refund and was cussed out by the front desk attendant. Extremely unprofessional

The property was fine, but the smell of marijuana that hit me when I walked into the office to check in was disappointing. I don't know where it was coming from, I assume one of the other guests in their room. I didn't feel safe at all. The employee at the front desk was friendly and tried to accommodate my friend and me. We're senior citizens. He put us in room 101, which is handicap accessible... the chain on the door was broken off; the shower head was almost hanging down, and the hot water handle on the sink faucet was missing. I was so ready to get out of there. I'm just glad we only pre-paid for one night.

The stay at Motel 8 was amazing. It was a great location. The rate was very reasonable especially for the Christmas Festival. Though, I did book in February. The staff was friendly. I would definitely use them again.

Easy access to the riverfront festivals. Just about 4 or 5 miles.Nice safe and clean...

This is an older property but they take good care of it and the customer service was great. Fresh brewed coffee and light breakfast.

Stayed here because breakfast was included. Breakfast consisted of coffee, juice, small packaged breakfast bars, and a package of oatmeal. That was it
