Stayed 1 night

The room had high ceilings and a loft area for the bed which was not as pictured (it showed in the sample photo it was a one bedroom) but it was a cool space. Had a small area on the high ceiling where the paint was peeling. The hotel itself is so beautiful and historic and the observation deck access alone is worth the stay there! My only complaint was that the doors in nearby rooms echoed VERY loudly when they closed. There were only a free rooms in the small corridor. But the doors openers dozens of times early morning. And after arriving late from a concert we had hoped to be able to sleep in more. The hotel staff and valet service were excellent. I also didn’t love that they used the phone number they asked at check in to call me multiple times the next day to sell me on the Marriott Vacation Club. But when I declined they weren’t pushy about it. I would stay there again for the historic charm.

Beautiful room. Great location in the heart of downtown Boston. Love that there are two access points to the bathroom so that the person in the living room doesn’t have to walk through the other persons room to go to the bathroom.

We were very impressed with Custom House. Love the history and architecture. What a stunning view from the top observation deck! Our second floor suite was perfectly lovely and well appointed. Concierge and staff were very helpful. Great location to explore Boston! We would definitely return!

Beautiful observation deck is the star of the show here. Easy distance from downtown sites including the Freedom Trail is a plus. Be aware you will be approached to attend a pitch to buy into the Marriott Vacation Club. If you are not a member, expect to get a room on a low floor, possibly with minimal windows with a view.
