We stayed at this property twice; at either end of an East Coast road trip. The staff was friendly, it’s in a great location and the suites are huge and top notch. The breakfast in the morning is inexpensive and convenient although not over the top. Valet parking was reasonable and very helpful. I will stay here again, gladly.

A beutiful historic hotel in the best location is boston. Valet parking made it easy. The tob observation area allowed us to see all over boston from tables . The bar drinks were nice. An elegant hotel with spacious rooms.

The location is perfect for a family reunion. The hotel is a landmark that can’t be ignored. Staff could not have been more accomadating. Even with elevator upgrades in process the ambiance was still impressive.

This hotel with a view is a historic building converted into 1 bedroom king suites. It’s obviously not new but the rooms are clean and contemporary. You will have ample space and comfort with living area, pullout couch and kitchenette. It’s a timeshare vacation club so you will be asked to do a meeting, but this is optional. There is valet parking at an extra cost. Don’t bother with the ‘a la carte’ breakfast - you pay to make it yourself. Location is excellent; steps away from the Faneuil Market with tons of food and shopping options. As well as the freedom trail and the water front for access to boat tours, etc. Easily Uber anywhere from this hotel.

I can't believe I've never stayed at a Marriott Vacation Club before. The Custom House in Boston was an incredible experience, and everything was brilliant. From the extremely helpful concierge, Monika, to the very easy valet parking, to the wonderful room with incredible views, it was just an extremely enjoyable experience. The play place for the kids was super helpful in allowing them to burn off some excess energy before bedtime, and the view from the top floor was undeniably gorgeous. I can't wait to plan my next trip and stay here again.

The hotel was great however the elevator was being serviced. When you’re only there for one night, time is of the essence and you don’t want to waste time waiting for the elevator. The elevator being serviced should have been reflected in the room rate.

Amazing property, they could make some upgrades and make this a 5 star easily! Shower head in the bath was poor and water pressure issues. Staff at reception let the place down. They couldn’t find my booking after a few attempts and check out lady was unprofessional- she was boasting about it being her last day! Maybe just as well!

I loved this hotel! First of all, it is in a great location for exploring Boston on foot. We walked all around the North End, the Waterfront, Government Center, and Back Bay areas. It also has a fabulous observation deck which is nice to visit during the day and again at night. But for me the best thing about this hotel was our beautiful room! We had a one bedroom suite, which was a huge room with a high ceiling. The bedroom was up a flight of stairs in the open room. There was a nice kitchen area with a refrigerator, sink, and dishes; and a living room area with a couch, coffee table, chair, and a table for four. The bedroom and the living room both had large tvs. There were plenty of outlets and USB ports. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great (good water pressure). I could have used more counter space in the bathroom, but I made use of the living room table instead. Regarding the employees, the front desk people were friendly and professional; and housekeeping did a great job of keeping the room clean! It was spotless when we arrived and every day when we returned after seeing the sites. I hope to stay at the Marriott Vacation Club at Boston Custom House again some day!

We really enjoyed going up to the 26th floor to take in the view. Suites are roomy. Location is close to markets, aquarium and freedom trail. Only complaint was the frequent noise from airplanes.

Great hotel and great staff. The rooms are first-come, first-served, so if you are given a lower room (we received one on the 1st floor), kindly ask to be switched to a higher room the next day. They were great about that. Very large rooms, clean and spacious - perfect for a family traveling!

This hotel is in a great location, the bed is very comfortable and the room is nice. HOWEVER, we ended up with a room on the first floor facing a restaurant with live music and right next to the breakfast area. As much as this hotel costs no one should have to stay in this particular room (102). You can't even open the window shades because people can look right into your room. We were also woken up early every morning hearing the door to the breakfast room opening and closing as staff was getting things ready. The frustrating thing is, we called the hotel directly about three weeks before our stay asking for a room on a high floor and was told that wouldn't be a problem. When we got there we were told we were on the first floor and to check back the next morning. Next morning we were told they didn't have enough staff to let us change rooms try again the next day. The next day, same thing. They finally called us after we left that day to say we could change rooms but would have to come back and gather everything up let them hold our bags and then later they would have it ready. It wasn't worth it by then because we were on our way to a tour and couldn't go back. I asked for a break in cost or a free night later and they said they would try. Once again no help in the end. In my opinion, a hotel that costs this much should take better care of their customers. We did get some points on our Marriott Convoy account but not much. Very disappointed in the management at this hotel.

This is a very coo/interesting property. We only stayed a few days but loved being in a historic building. The room was large, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The pillows and mattress were also comfy. The only issue was that the air conditioner blew directly on you when you were in bed and could get very chilly but if you turned it down the room got too warm. There were also a few weird noises but I being in a older building that is to be expected. The location is perfect, close to everything we wanted to see.

We stayed in a suite with high vaulted ceilings. The air conditioning was a little tricky trying to keep an even temperature across the upstairs and downstairs but the suite itself was VERY nice. The location is unmatched.

All the hotel clerks were very friendly. Our check out today was at 11am and I called the hotel desk and a male desk clerk answered. I requested to have the bell hop come and retrieve our suitcases and to hold them in the lobby as we did not want it placed in our car. The bell hop guy was great and very friendly as he also did our car valet and took our suitcases to our room when we arrived and at our departure today. The desk guy today wasn’t as friendly. Since our suitcases were being held in the lobby, I went to talk to the concierge about a place to eat breakfast/lunch and we ended up next door. It was my oversight not to check out with the desk, but we were coming back as soon as we ate. I got a call from the male clerk while I was eating and he said I was overdue for the checkout time and had to return to the desk to check out. So I left my meal to go back next door to check out. He asked me if there were any additional charges besides the 2 muffins I had purchased on the 1st floor and the parking for 3 days and asked me if he should charge my credit card I had on file and I said yes. He asked if I wanted a receipt or email the receipt and I said to email me. I wish he could have just done this via the phone since I did not sign anything. This guy needs to have better communication skills and be more friendlier. I will plan to come back within a year and plan to stay there again as I really loved it there and so convenient to downtown,Faniel Hall & Quincy Market.

We were told by the staff upon check in that we could have a room with a view of the harbor but that the room was not ready and we were told that we would have a couple of hours to wait and that we would receive a text message when the room was ready - at least by 4 pm. We waited until 5 pm and still no text so we went back to the desk only to be checked in to a room that was low and without a view. The manager that was on was VERY rude and unhelpful. She actually enjoyed telling us that the room that was supposed to be for us had been given away and lied that she was unaware that it was promised to us - despite the fact that the day shift desk folks had, in fact, passed the information along both verbally and in the computer. We never received any text that a room was even available and her attitude was, in essence, "oh well, that's just too bad". It certainly soured our experience as we had really been looking forward to celebrating a special occasion over the weekend.

The property was in a beautiful historic building. Our stay was wonderful but short. It is in close proximity to Quincy market and the wharf. Everything was walkable! The staff was welcoming and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything about this place is perfect! Don't worry about breakfast as the surrounding area is filled with different options. They only offer coffee complimentary and some typical hotel breakfast items that get charged to the room, but you're not coming to Boston for hotel breakfast. Will be back to stay again!

Those who appeared to be residents of the Custom House 5th floor and above were not as friendly as the staff. The continental breakfast was a pay A La Cart, instead of included in the price. The location was exactly what we wanted. We were able to get everywhere's in Boston that we wanted to and a very walkable location to everything

Excellent location! Just a block from all main amenities. Beautiful hotel! Super clean and great service. The only reason why I’m giving a 4 star is because of the breakfast. Extremely simple. It is more like a Cafe place where you have to pay for a muffin or make your own egg. Luckily there’s plenty of cafes around the area.

What a gem of a place. The staff is wonderful and the hotel is beautiful. They have an amazing observation deck. The bar staff is friendly. The only thing they could improve on is offering something gluten free, we went out for breakfast every morning. Highly recommend and I would definitely go back
