The one-and-only elevator went down the day we arrived and was never repaired during our three day visit. This was an inconvenience. I asked the hotel to comp me for the inconvenience and they did! The front desk had no problem doing this. Further, a staff member followed up by email a few short hours after check out. Refund was all handled that day. For their caring and responsiveness I will give them another try and recommend others do the same. Other than the elevator the stay was lovely.

Good location but TV had huge white spots on the screen that made it difficult to watch, the toilet and shower pan were worn and needed replacing. Bed was comfortable. Gym had good equipment but none of it was connected to the internet.

We went to a concert at TD & this is super convenient to the arena . The rooms are beautiful, great location. I didn’t experience the restaurant. The gym is pretty good- tread, peloton, weights - but tiny. The staff at check in was clueless and dismissive. That is probably my biggest complaint. Otherwise, a great stay.

Elevator didn’t work, apparently 2nd time this week, had to carry bags five flights of stairs. Parking is at an inconvenient lot about a half mile away with no valet option.

Great location for seeing historic sights. Quiet. Breakfast restaurant was understaffed. Front desk personnel were responsive to requests.

They do not have onsite parking. The parking garage was about 3 blocks away but not the easiest to find. Staff was wonderful. Rooms were clean, but small.

Carly, at the front desk, was exceptional. While our beds were very comfortable, the pillows were TERRIBLE - lumpy and awkward. While we enjoyed the hotel and location, we were vert discouraged that there was no bartender either of the nights we were there, as well as there was no dining in-house in the restaurant. There was room service available, but this is not the experience we wanted. For breakfast - several items were "out" both mornings - yogurt, granola, fruit. And the last morning, you were completely "out of coffee." Not a drop in the house. Staff told us that there was an ownership change, and while this isn't their fault at all, it still left our group feeling that we were short changed a bit. I don't think we will stay here again, only because there are many other hotels in the area that would deliver everything that was promised. Not a hotel where things were promised, but then leave it up to the hard working staff to figure out how to appease frustrated guests without the support of management. Do better Boxer management!

Very quick walk to TD Garden but far enough away to be quiet. Staff was amazing. Gym is very small only one treadmill, a Peloton and a few free weights.

The staff were wonderful! The room we had was so small. It had a run down feel to it and there was a stain on our comforter. We also discovered almonds on the rug and we hadn’t eaten almonds😬.For the price we paid we expected a nicer room.

We were able to check in early and also get a later checkout. They accommodated keeping our bags for a few hours on our departure day. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at The Boxer to attend a Celtics game so in that regard it was convenient. The cons: cleanliness was below average (rusty shower rod, worn carpet, left overs in refrigerator left that were not ours). It was also very noisy. You can hear everything in the hallway and there was periodically (including early in the morning) a loud sound lasting a minute or so that we think was the ice machine. When we first checked in around 4ish someone who worked at the hotel barged into our room (luckily we had the dead bolt thing out so it didn’t fully open) he said nothing and then closed the door, my husband went after to see who it was and the man said he was checking on the rooms. It just seemed weird and uncomfortable, shouldn’t the staff know when rooms have been checked into? We also had someone knock on our door at 2:30 am and when my husband checked the person asked for extra towels. It was a little scary and the person ran off down the stairwell when we didn’t answer them. We called the front desk and they said they would look into it but it was very strange.

Clean boutique hotel with friendly staff and easy check-in. Comfortable beds with cool, crisp bedding. Good location; most of the popular city destinations were a half-mile walk.

The good: This hotel's location is the best thing going for it. Located right around the corner from TD Garden, and within a short walking distance of the North End, Faneuil Hall, Boston Common etc. it's a no brainer choice if you're in town for an event or to see the sites. Although there is no onsite parking, the hotel works with a garage a couple blocks away to offer overnight parking at a discounted rate of $40usd/day. The hotel provides vouchers and charges you directly, which is one less thing to do when you leave. Outside of that the rooms are very compact, but offer very comfortable beds/linens and a decent size shower considering the size of the room as well as the basics like a mini fridge, iron and safe to help make the most of your trip. The room is also stocked with a variety of snacks/beverages, each with a hefty pricetag. The not so good: The rooms are LOUD. Whether it's noise from the street, the hallway or adjacent rooms you will hear all of it. The glass in our room's window was broken, the sheets had tears in them and the bath robe had a hole. This didn't ruin the stay, but not what you expect from a 4-star hotel. House keeping did a good job overall, but consistently missed food on the ground that was there before I checked in.

When you don’t run into these issues they are was decent however… we did a 3 night stay. First night went well, 2nd night we were woken up with some bug bites on my wife’s legs. Promptly we got a new room. Then promptly we found our replacement room had a broken ac. Then promptly we received a 3rd room. 3rd room has no issues on the third night. The hotel did comp our whole stay plus as meal and was responsible with how they handled it plus did our laundry.

Charged an additional $21 for tea and water wasn’t previously shared with me when I booked the hotel. Dog hair on the floor and in room. Room looks old and smells like a dog was in the room

Room was dirty and smaller than expected. Very dark hallways, the elevator took forever, and not much soundproofing of the room so could hear neighbors. Someone was smoking in the room next door so room smelt of cigarette smoke. Bathroom was extremely small and dated. The proximity of this location to where I was attending an event is the redeeming quality, otherwise I was disappointed.

I liked the proximity to the TD Garden as well as the options to travel on the train. The room was extremely small (Traditional Room King Bed) and almost impossible to move around in. It reminded me of a very small boutique hotel room that I’ve stayed in while visiting NYC. The staff was extremely friendly, epically Corinne at the front desk.

The stay overall was decent. I didn’t have any high or low points, with the exception of the amenity fee of $20 for the gym and coffee. A hotel ui usually stay at does not charge for these with a separate charge but nothing worth being upset about. The beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable! Rooms are very dark, felt a bit closed in. It was good to see another hotel that I haven’t stayed at. It’s somewhere in the middle for me. I likely would refer it or book again.

This hotel is super cute. Our room was pretty tiny but the proximity to the TD Garden is what makes this the real winner. If you are super sensitive to noise the water running through the pipes is quite loud. It never woke me up but it was annoying when we were relaxing in our room. As far as noise goes, we never heard anyone in the hallway.

Positives: friendly, helpful staff; good location; some nice touches in the room, e.g. bathrobes, umbrella, full(?)-sized ironing board; very hot water available (caveat: apparently there was NO hot water the week before); heat functioned well; comfortable bed; easy-to-use key card Negatives: no microwave or chest of drawers; flaky Internet; single elevator inadequate for guests plus staff; understaffed restaurant; no computer available to guests

Clean, safe, convenient. Most of the staff were very pleasant. The bar is cute. Great place to stay if catching an event at TD Garden. The room was hot AF. There was no way to turn the heat off.

Property was nice and great location. Decent price considering proximity to TD Garden. The mini fridge did not work and AC seemed to be motion activated. Every time we came back, it was very hot for the first 15-30 minutes. We also had a corner room which made floor plan strange-bed barely fit in the room and made it hard to see the TV/Navigate with luggage. Would stay here again, but would request a different floor plan next time.

Check in was wonderful! I advised staff ahead of time we would be arriving early and asked to store our luggage. When we arrived we were personally greeted and a room was ready for us. The location is great! Easy access to the T station, many restaurants, and quick walk to TD Garden for Bruins game but out of the way of all the traffic. Would definitely stay again!

No one at the front desk when I arrived. Waited 15 minutes to check in.

Checking in took forever had 4 staff in the front but only one of them actually worked. Waited over 30 minutes while 3 staff did nothing in the corner. Bathroom is pretty gross. Rooms are tiny. A restaurant and bar was advertised but is is not open so that was false advertisement. Extremely loud hotel banging and screaming all night. Would not go back or recommend

The location of this hotel is great if you are in Boston for an event at TD Garden. Beyond that I would not stay at the hotel again. The staff all seemed to be very confused. No one really knew what they were doing. No one ever greeted us or smiled at us as we came and went. I asked the front desk to set me up with parking in the garage upon arrival, as the policy states. When I went to check out I found out they had not done this for me. So I asked them to do it when I was leaving. Gave them my plate number and information and paid for parking. When I went to leave the garage I couldn’t get out. Spent 30 minutes on the phone trying to resolve the issue so I could leave the garage. Overall the stay here was just meh. I wouldn’t stay here again.

This hotel is a gem. While the footprint of my room was small, all amenities were readily available. It was perfect for my 1 night stay. Carly at the front desk was very kind and helpful with a restaurant recommendation. They called a taxi for me when I needed to check out. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would certainly stay here again.

The staff was great - friendly and professional. I absolutely loved the location. Boston is so walkable, but also getting to Bowdoin station is so quick from here. I thought the interior of the room was beautiful, it was clean and comfortable. Also loved the water and apples in the lobby - little things like those are such a nice touch. Would definitely come back here in the future.

You can’t park at the hotel and the loading zone was blocked. I had to drop my daughter out, because you have to check in before you park, she called me upset because the lady working was so mean to her. We got that sorted out and parked in a garage that was 50 for the night. After leaving the next day I checked my account and they charged me an additional nights stay which is around 500. I called and they said it’s just a hold for something and will be returned. Two days and no money back yet.

Staff were excellent - Phil at the front desk went out of his way to direct me to a nearby street - Carli and Danielle were great too. Liliana at the breakfast service was wonderful.

Front desk sent us to our room , we went in and it was occupied , 😳 . The girl at the desk was helpful but the manager was swearing and I wasn’t ready for that , they need to rethink who is accepting guest , after all they are the first impression of the Boxer . I’ve stayed here before and it was a great experience needless to say a little embarrassed for them .

Great boutique hotel. Roughly 5 minutes walking distance to the TD Garden. Came for a celtics game, will be stsying here again next time.

The hotel had just changed hands evidently. We assumed we could eat dinner at the hotel. They aren’t serving dinner at all now. Breakfast was very expensive and mediocre at best. Hopefully all will improve.

Convenient stay for concert/game goers as it’s right around the corner from TD Garden. The staff at the desk were so kind and helpful making check in and out pleasant. There is a place to eat and bar, but unfortunately it was understaffed so the wait was long. However, those working did their BEST in trying to get multiple jobs done and remained in good spirits despite the situation. Definitely would stay here again!

They have a restaurant. They need a cook. I ordered a side of pork sausage for my breakfast They showed up burnt black . I should have sent them back but they're shorthanded too.

The staff were all incredibly nice, the hotel was beautiful, the food from the restaurant was delicious!

Parking was not real convenient but we parked and walked everywhere. You could walk to the north end was .4 miles. Boston Tea party was right under a mile so you get your steps in without having to get your car. They give you a $20 credit at restaurant as long as you’re not in a hurry to eat. One server the day we went down for breakfast. Staff as super nice and a good hotel. I would stay there again if I come back to Boston or highly recommend!

Everything was clean and well appointed the room service once a day as nice to get back to. The hotel bar/restaurant was excellent with the possible exception of I would like it to be open at lunch, but it currently does breakfast and dinner.

It was an OK hotel, especially for downtown. It is very conveniently located. It was VERY busy due to a sold out concert (thats why we were there too. Check out was at noon, but at 1130 our key cards were no longer working and we had to ask to be let in our room. The breakfast options at the restaurant were very limited and the food was not very good.
