We stayed here before departing for a cruise. They offer a shuttle to/from airport, to 4 local restaurants and to the cruise port. It was conveniently located only 4min walk from the subway, so we easily found our way to the freedom trail and back. It’s beside University of Mass. - Dorchester Bay was a nice walk in the morning. There was also a grocery store only 7min walk from the hotel.

Staff are lovely. Close to cruise ship ports and offers shuttle to/from ports and airport!! Walking distance to JFK subway station. Small, cosy bar services the large lobby area and both bartenders were friendly, professional and helpful. No real restaurant but bar food selection was perfect for our needs. Breakfast buffet looked really good. Rooms have individual climate controls - perfect!

The hotel is decent and rooms are quite well sound-proofed, except that you will get some street noise if you are on one side of the building. I chose this hotel because of the airport shuttle service, so I was disappointed with how slow it was. It took me almost 90 minutes from when I had my bag until I was in my room....even though the hotel is only 10 min away from the airport.

You had to PAY to park…. Ridiculous !! Understandable if there was a valet…. But, you parked in a lot that didn’t belong to the hotel ? And the Hotel gets to charge you for that?!!!! Come on….. No water pressure on the 6th floor…. Shower was like a trickle….. I wasn’t sure if I got all the soap off. 14.95 for an 8 onz. drink at the bar with an unfriendly, pushy bartender who wanted to close the bar area by 10 “because it was his Friday.” Needless to say…. I won’t be back…

My stay at the Doubletree by Hilton was a terrible stay. The room was not clean to my satisfaction there was a lot of dust on the beds head board, on the dresser and on the tv. Also, at my time of check out I didn't receive any paperwork or a email in regards to my stay. A hundred and fifty dollar hold was placed on my debit card for incidentals, and the only charge that should have been applied is the twenty five dollar a day for parking. I received a credit of 47.77 back to my card that was on file which tells me that I was over charged. I have to say I am very disappointed and cannot see myself recommending this hotel to anyone.

I have stayed there on multiple occasions and I’ve always left good reviews. This time around it was a very disappointing experience. The room was not clean, it seems like they just made the bed and walked away from it. I found an empty bottle of mouthwash inside of one of the bathroom’s drawers, hairs all over and it was dusty. I opened the fridge and found food leftover by others. I was given the parking for free as a recompense for the experience, but it doesn’t mean that I will not voice my opinion. I just hope it doesn’t happen again because the place has potential.

The blanket was dirty I didn’t realize until the morning. I did not have anything on the bed so it was not a stain by me. I feel disgusting after having been in bed with dirty blankets used by someone else and not washed afterwards.

Mattress topper was very lumpy with hard spots had to remove it to make things worse their elevator is very noisy in the middle of the night, thats all I could here was the hydrolics of the elevator going up and down all night long. They claim to have a restaurant... But I dont consider standing in line to order food and then bring to a table or room, food was served in cardboard boxes, it's not a rerstaurant it's a snack bar!

Doubletree Bayside was a great choice for my wife and I. I check in went smoothly, Zach said his back up in our Hilton rewards, which seemed to elapsed. He gave us homemade cookies and sent us off to our room. The room was Immaculatethe beds were Extremely comfortable and we had a great night sleep. Off to breakfast, which I’m sure will be Delightful. We highly recommend this hotel Dan and Barbara

My room would not go below 76 degrees no matter the set temperature, and so the room was hot all day. The refrigerator in the room would not keep cold, and so I am not sure if it was at a food-safe temperature. The walk to the T is very short. However, it requires crossing busy roads which do not have working walk/stop signs.

I paid for the airport shuttle, but it was never arranged and no one contacted me. I tried calling the hotel multiple times from the UK and the airport — no response. Staff showed no apology on arrival. I had an early checkout at 6 AM and breakfast was included, but when I asked for just a cup of coffee before leaving, I was refused. Very poor service and no flexibility. Would not recommend.

The room was the only goid thing of this stay. When we arrived, check-in was slow (but ok) and we patiently waited. Once we got to the counter, the agent did not greet us just checked us in. While checking in, we asked the agent (Emily) why we are being charged parking fees for 2 cars for a hotelbwith so much parking available. Emily did not even acknowledge my question, nor provide an answer. Rude! I will NEVER reserve another DoubleTree hotel due to the parking cost which I find to be absurd. Keep in mind rhe parking lot is not right outside of the door, where parking is extremely limited. Lastly, Emily made a conscious effort to not offer us their complementary cookies, which I found out after the fact each guests are to receive. Me and my guest were NOT offered anything. Thankfully, the agent working overnight, who I asked respectfully gabe us them at that time. This definitely felt racially driven from Emily not treating us the same as all the other guests. Will not be booking at anymore DoubleTree Hotels. The room was nice but I refuse to sleep anywhere where the guests are not treated equally the same and asked to pay for parking. Thanks

There was a long line when checking in but the gentleman working the front desk was calm, proficient, friendly and professional and kept everything moving right along. Since we were traveling with a baby he quickly accommodated my request for a quieter room (top floor end unit, far from the elevator) and even upgraded us to a suite so we would have more space. We only stayed one night since we got it to be close to the airport for an early flight, but we were impressed with the room, which was clean, updated in a modern style and nicely appointed with large screen TVs in both rooms, microwave and fridge. I would definitely stay here again! Great staff! Free airport shuttle runs on the hour from 5am to 9pm.

Love that it's only a five minute walk to the red line and close to the airport with hourly airport transportation. Very quiet and safe. Nice lobby to chill in the evening. A perfect spot for our three night stay on Boston.

The complaint I have is that this property charge $22 a day for parking. This is way too expensive for the guests of the hotel. Also, there is no restaurant in this hotel and since there is nothing around close by you really don't have a choice but buy the food in the hotel like fast food place.

It's such a shame to have to leave this review because the staff couldn't have been greater. The hotel itself was filthy. My room had dust from a long time and lots of marks I used lysol wipes and Clorox on the toilet. The desk wasn't even wiped clean and the residence elevators around needed a good polishing. Like I said great hotel, great service they just need to clean it up and have better cleaning practices.

Airport shuttle was very nice but the driver talked non stop. His phone rang a lot and he talked on his phone while driving including talking to his daughter. He stopped once very fast suddenly because the car in from of him was stopped. It was a very scaring drive to the hotel. The hotel was very clean, friendly staff. The free breakfast cooked to order was awesome, excellent.

The free shuttle from and to the airport, and proximity to a subway station (2 blocks away) made Boston very accessible/affordable without having to rent a car or Uber around. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the complimentary shuttle to the airport was a nice surprise. Other than its proximity to the JFK Library and U MASS, however, it was quite isolated from the rest of Boston. There was a very unattractive parking lot/construction site out back. It was several blocks to a transit terminal. Minimal on-site amenities, and the food service/room service seemed to be an afterthought, not really integrated into the hotel operations.
