Quality Inn Chicopee-Springfield

The place was fine. It wasn't exactly dirty but it was shabby which gave the impression of dirtiness. The furniture was old, chipped and scraped up. The double paned windows were broken on the outside so when looking out of the window, it seemed like the window was broken. The TV was old and changing channels was difficult. You couldnt scroll thru channels, you had to manually type in each number. But the remote was half broken. I would press one number and a different one would show on the screen. So i has to press really hard and try repeatedly to get it right. The tub was chipped with some stains that made it look dirty and made me feel like i wanted to wear shower shoes. The towels were clean but they looked thin as if they'd been worn down. The beds were really hard and uncomfortable. The temp was either arctic or too hot. Even at 71 degrees it felt frigid in the room. The my room stuck so I had to push it really hard to open it and slam it to make sure it was all the way closed. And the only way to enter the property was from the front door. My room was all the way down the hall, around the corner and down another hall. So even though I could exit from a side door, there was no key access to the side door which was closer to my room. However, people often propped the door. So while it was convenient it didn't feel safe to have to door open at all hours. On a positive note, there was free breakfast that was decent. And the shower pressure and temperature was great!

Wouldn’t recommend for a single young woman to stay here or family. They leave the front doors open because you can’t use your key to get back in after hours which is not safe so anyone can come in, scary.

There is no elevator to start, would have been nice to know that before booking. The hotel is dirty, they don’t service rooms if you stay more multiple nights. Had to ask them to empty the trash and for clean towels and then that took them hours to even find them. Making me and my family late. The desk in the room was painted plywood, the phone in the room was not just not plugged in there was no cord at all. The remote for the didn’t work and didn’t have a cover for the batteries they put tape as the repair. Lastly like I said they didn’t services or room but wanted to charge me 50 for a cover that the maids found in the laundry hamper that was full of poop trying to say it came from our rooms. Just gross all around. The staff was rude

No elevator to upper floor. Stairwell dirty and steps broke, hallway very hot. Ice machine was broke. Room had stains on rug, bathroom tub was old and stained. chairs in room fabric was very stained and crumbs on the sides of the arms.

The owner needs to fix the eletronic door entry. This has been a issue for a while.if door is not propped open you can't get back in. You can go to front door but if nobody in lobby and the desk clerk has to go help another guest your stuck outside.

Booked as an overnight for traveling to our destination. Room was just OK. Tub was old and filthy. Tried to warm up coffee in the microwave, and the microwave locked and could not open. One of the exit doors did not lock properly. Had difficulty in using remote for television. staff were very nice. The cover on the back of the toilet was missing and there was just a piece of plastic laying over it. There was nail polish all over the bathroom counter. The lamps on the bedside stand were rusted and dirty. Management needs to put some money into the place to update it, clean it, and make it safer by fixing the exit door.

Locked doors raises safety questions. Front desk staff was very good. Super friendly. Room smelled of smoke. Pillows were tiny. Stains on sheets. Bathroom was not good. Cracked tiles, dirty floor, stained tub. Definitely not the standard of Quality Inn’s I’ve stayed in before.

I was expecting a hotel on par with Quality Inn reputation of clean, reasonably priced stay. The expedia site and the hotel check in process failed to mention the property was transitioning back from a status of a state-run shelter. At check out I noticed a sign (turned away from view) that stated the in-process state, This was way over pricing for the lack of security, overnight hallway disturbances and unclean state (ie. vomit on the stairwell). Most unsatisfactory as guest who needs accessibility, there was no elevator.

I have used this hotel many times before and just seems to be going downhill.the card entry system still doesn't work for exterior doors 2 years later. I do not think housekeeping knows what a vaccum is.maitence department has no idea how to clean carpets. Housekeeping should be given scrubbing bubbles to use on tubs it doesn't matter what area you stay in the hotel same issue. The biggest draw back was the group in the lobby when I arrived then I found out they are using hotel as housing. The other big iss was when I went up stairs to my room the whole hallway smelled of fish.(cooked)when I got to my room other end of hall I left my door open and open the window to get smell out of hallway.i said something to the front desk they informed me it was a long term tenant. They apologized to me. I said say something tell they to open windows when cooking. I guess it's time to find a new place when in town because it truly seems that the owner of property doesn't care about things. The front desk did all they could for me I said thank you. It's amazing that the price here is only slightly less than other hotels in area with far better amenities.

On the bright side, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast provided was excellent.

Let’s give the worst review I’ve ever given. I’ve stayed at MANY quality inns! But, Cockroaches were on the house here. If you’d like to sleep on springs with limited cushion this is your one stop shop. Spend the extra $20 a stay some where else! Staff is nice though.

It was the worst roach infested room and by far the dirtiest I’ve ever stayed in! I think a refund is in order, had it not been so late we would have left but we had no where to go!

The hallways had a horrible stench, but the stench in the room was much worse. I planned on staying the week, but checked out after one night.

The room was in disrepair, the carpets were patched, the chair was ripped and did not raise up at all, the wall paper was peeling, the celling had water stains and mold, the tub was stained and did not have a stopper and creaked when you stepped into it. The walls in the bathroom were permanently dirty, the back of the toilet was a piece of plastic that did not fit properly, the vents on the a/c were broken, there were no tv stations, the furniture was all marked up and had small dents. The silver lamps were completely rusted as was the shower rod. The toilet barely flushed, the room smelled of overpowering lemon and gym socks. I could keep going but you get the picture. If there was any other place to stay I would have left.

Smelly, bugs, hair in the shower. Bed had stained sheets. Avoid if at all possible

This place is very old and smelled of too much Fabulouso cleaner .. if you have allergies.. you will have a headache from the smell .. rugs are sticky..

The room smelled horrible when we arrived and so we turned on ac and opened window- we all got some kind of cold and were coughing by the time we departed- something really gross smelled in the room and it was in utter disrepair- seems very very pricey for such terrible unhealthy experience

Filthy. Iron burn marks in the carpet. Blood stains on the carpet. Chair was gross with writings of markers. Holes in the wall, water stains. If i could give 0 stars i would.

I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was set back from the main road and I heard no road noise. I really heard no hotel noise either. The exterior is nothing special and was a bit hesitatnt the inside would be grim but it was clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The refrig and microwave were clean. The hotel is older but is well maintained and the bathroom layout was good. I dislike stale smoke odor and there was none. The heating and cooling was fairly quiet. It was perfect for an inexpensive, 3 day, solo stay.

Much different than the other Quality Inn, while it has nicer furniture; the bathroom and overall bedroom looked dated and worn

It almost seemed like there had been a brawl in the room. The room iron and the tv remote were missing. The front desk person provided replacements quickly and the staff was generally friendly, polite, and professional. The room was clean and comfortable and certainly adequate for an overnight stay. The king bed was comfortable, but the pillows were small and cheap. The room included a small LG tv, but the remote was missing. There was also a small microwave, a fridge, and a coffee maker. There was ample parking, and a convenient location right off the highway, with a bunch of restaurants in walking distance, a Walmart, and many shops nearby, even a Home Depot and an Aldi's. Despite the issues we enjoyed our stay.

Tough to find accommodations during the Big E but I was able to book here. Took ten minutes of buzzing and phone calls before somebody came to the front desk to check me in. Room was in rough shape with walls cracked and peeling. TV didn’t work. Shower didn’t work. Sketchy people were roaming the halls late at night making lots of noise. I gave this place two stars because at least the sink and toilet worked and they served a decent breakfast. But really, staying overnight on a park bench might be a better option, at least in warm weather.

My stay here at true Hilton was amazing! What made it amazing was your staff. From the front desk two food service for breakfast ,housekeeping, I wrote a couple of reviews using the QR code in the elevator however, one of them didn’t get put through. I don’t know much about technology so I don’t know what happened so I’m writing here and I would like to make sure that the staff members get the recognition for going over and beyond their duties to assist me in my stay here. I am 68 years old a retired nurse recently in the hospital I’m from the state of Rhode Island. I grew up here in Chicopee so I know the friendliness the personality of people in this area. They’re very outgoing, kind, and helpful on a normal basis, but when I encountered here was true empathy and compassion for a fellow human being that had to be away from home. Well, just getting out of the hospital seriously you’ll and coming for a family members funeral my brother. ANA, front desk employee was above and beyond helpful to me kind and very compassionate assisting me to my room, bringing me towels talking with me or just listening to me when I would come in and out in my travails. I had a fractured ankle in a boot to fractured ribs, fractured vertebrae from osteoporosis, and it made it very hard to walk and move. I’ve been a nurse 40 years used to doing everything myself and taking care of others so this was such a helpful employee. Edwin was also very kind to me went over and beyond in the breakfast buffet

Room was in rough shape with walls cracked and peeling. TV didn’t work. Shower didn’t work. Sketchy people were roaming the halls late at night making lots of noise. I gave this place two stars because at least the sink and toilet worked and they served a decent breakfast. But really, staying overnight on a park bench might be a better option, at least in warm weather.

There are many stores that are very close to buy anything you need, banks and pharmacy are within a 10 minutes walk. Place is cheap and good.

When I arrived at the property, I sat in the parking lot with my young son and looked around, The building to the left had one window where it looked like someone had a brawl inside. The blinds were all beaten up and looked awful. I had read the reviews and they seemed mixed. I didn't feel safe going into the hotel so we left. I booked into the Tru Hilton a couple of doors down and called the Quality and cancelled my reservation. I am not usually a nervous person staying at hotels as I travel by myself often. This hotel just didn't feel safe to me. It looks as though people might live there instead of it being a hotel only facility.
