Good value if you can live without frills for a night.

The major problem was that the floor (carpeting) was moist and there was a pervasive smell of insecticide or harsh cleaning products. We have stayed here a few years ago and this was not our experience at that time. Perhaps we just stayed on the wrong day this time.

Check in was easy and the gentleman was very friendly. Room smelled heavily of smoke though and it was a non-smoking room

The smell when you open the door is very pungent. The bead spread had burnt holes. I didn’t stay.

The first thing that happened when I got to the property was the dangerous steps leading to the office. The first step is about 2 - 3 inches before the next step which almost caused me to fall. There is a sign saying watch your step but I wasn't expecting it to be like that. The next thing was the woman who checked me in. She never smiled and spoke to me using as few words as possible. The rooms are across the parking lot from the office so when my room key didn't work, I had to cross the parking lot, when it's 94 degrees out, to get my key fixed. Because I have severe breathing problems I drove my car to the office. The room was a basic $110 room. Surfaces were clean but the carpet was dirty and my socks were black after a short time. Bed was hard so I didn't get a good nights sleep. Some people like a hard mattress, I don't. It was quiet most of the night. The next morning I went to use the microwave and the whole room went dark. I had to fumble around to find my phone to use as a flashlight. I called the office and it rang so many times I wasn't sure if anyone would answer and finally a man answered and came to the building to fix it. The steps leading to the building with the rooms were the same as the office with the first step going out about 2 - 3 inches and a sign saying watch your step. Carrying my things in and out was a bit precarious and again almost fell. What would it cost to fix those steps compared to a lawsuit from someone being injured? Disappointed.

2 nights. Rooms small but clean and comfortable. Simple breakfast of cereals, muffins and toast with juice and milk. Very reasonable price.

It was never cool in the room with the air on it was still humid.

I have had closets bigger than their bathroom. I guess they can't afford light bulbs, only 1 bulb in 4 light bar over the sink. Ran water in sink it never got warm after 2 minutes. The bed was like sleeping on a board

We’ve stayed here quite a few times…the rooms are clean and comfortable, not fancy. The heating unit was a bit noisy this time…

It needs to be updated... doors were sticky hard to open

lights above wash sink - none worked, light on one side of bed unable to plug in, both lightss too high on wall to comfortablly turn on and off, would be better if they were 2ft lower near night stand or lights on night stands. take one of the rooms in the far back and make it into a hot tub room access controled by room key

Room was clean, lots of hot water BUT very old and not worth the price, drive a little further.

This place was okay. The Wi-Fi was absolutely horrendous. Also it was rather noisy.

It was close to where I needed to be be. Wifi was intermittent and tv had limited channels as soeme seemed to be frozen. It appeared to be a selter for homeless and not as pictured on website. While it provided a place for us for the money not what I expected.

I could not stay at this property !!!! Desokpite having paid for my room prior to arriving and ashowing the attemdamt a digital copy of it I could noth I check in because i did note have a physical I.D. I keep almost everything on my phone now, use tap to pay, show my dogital ID when needed. Upon arriving and trying to check in The moment i told the attemdant i did not have a physical ID with me and showed him the digital one. He became rude ŔPretty much accused me of stealing a debit card to pay for the room. Despite me showing him a digital copy of said debit card .with my name on it and a digital ID with a pictire of me and my name on it Would not let me check in! I was in town for work had to be up at 330am in the morning . Being left w nowhere to go by this sour attemdant was a true inconvenience. My entire experience was extreme disappointment p

Front desk staff was rude. Overcharged. The room smelled terrible. No military discount. Sketchy people standing around outside. I will never return not recommend

The staff at Budget Host in Waterville, Maine was very friendly and accommodating; that goes for both the younger gentleman working at the desk in the evening and the older gentleman (the owner?) working at the desk in the morning. However, the maintenance staff really needs to do a deep cleaning: the back of the door into my guest room was very dirty; the light switch next to that door was very dirty; the outlet and light switch next to the sink were very dirty, as was the cord from the hair dryer to the outlet. It wouldn't take that long to give those things a thorough cleaning, which they desperately need. The bed and bedding were very clean and comfortable. I must also add that the enormous BUDGET HOST sign near the street is awful, and it has been like that for many years. I suggest that it be repaired or taken down. It doesn't say good things about the management and ownership that that sign has been neglected for that long.

I would advise everyone to stay away from this place. My event was cancelled due to a snow storm and they refused to change my reservation to another date. I knew I could not get a refund and I didn't request one. All I wanted was for them to change my stay to a different day, and they refused. They were also very rude on the phone. I travel often and will never book here again. They got my money and I got nothing in return.

Worst Motel Experience Ever – Avoid at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is a complete disaster from top to bottom. The manager was shockingly rude, dismissive, condescending, and completely uninterested in addressing any of the concerns we raised. It felt like we were bothering him by simply existing. But the most disturbing part? There was an unmarked door leading directly into our room from somewhere. No bolt, no deadlock, nothing to secure it from our side. We asked about it, and the manager waved it off like it was normal. Sorry, but an unsecured random door in a motel room is a huge red flag for safety. We asked for a refund immediately due to our concerns and were told that wouldn’t happen and that WE were being rude. Trust me: pay the extra money and go somewhere else. This place should be shut down.

clean and neat. Had a small tv problem but it was taken care of immediately. Priced well..i would stay there again. Thank you...also it was my first motel stay by myself since my husband passed away a year ago. I felt safe and comfortable..very important to me as I was nervous.

They never mentioned there was a pet fee and threatened us with a $300. fine for not reporting the pet, even though they described themselves as a pet friendly motel. This is the second time we have had this sort of issue with an Indian managed motel. Both times they tacked on extra fees not previously mentioned and were both belligerent and threatening.

A simple room, adequate. All the doors stuck and were difficult to open. Bring your own toiletries. Breakfast minimal. Nearby pizza and convenience store which helped for dinner. Staff on duty 24 hours and attentive. Clean and bed very comfortable.

There is a great Thai take out restaurant on the property. The motel has security cameras watching entrances, exits, and hallways. That's good and helped us feel a little safer. The access doors are left open, I guess for the breeze, or perhaps to assuage the pervasive smell of tobacco. The door to our room didn't seem snug enough and I could see light all round the frame from the hallway when the door is closed. I thought one good kick would likely open it easily. I told the clerk on duty about a man sitting and smoking in a running car, door open. The man was there in the evening when I took my dog out, and again in the morning. Although the motel is non smoking, I think the aged carpets from yesteryear retain all the stench of the prior days when smoking was allowed. Positives are the polite and friendly staff, the security cameras and the local Thai restaurant.

The staff was very nice. The bathroom was falling apart in spots. The free breakfast consisted of dry cereal, coffee or tea, orange juice and bread, muffin or English muffin. Pretty slim!

Poor customer service. First room smells like smoke second room smelled like covered ip smoke. No breakfast. No wifi given to us.
