Baymont by Wyndham Battle Creek Downtown

We have stayed at this facility the last three times we were in Battle Creek. It is easy to locate. Close to some really sweet shops. Only disappointment is they could not get the exercise room open but all other good, people totally friendly and responsive when i had concern.

Small but nice hotel in the middle of Battle Creek. It was clean and the service was excellent. My only complaint was the parking space in the front of the hotel was limited due to the size of the lot. This is the second time we have stayed here, and we plan on coming back.

Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Visited for 3 days. Pool was excellent! Nice and warm. Breakfast was good cereals, waffles,eggs,fruit stuff like that. Washer and dryer on site. Hallways look a little worn. Beds are comfortable and clean. Rooms a little dated but area is clean and feels safe. No creepy people hanging around.

Great value, private jacuzzi was worth so much. They need to replace the cables on the weight machine in the fitness though, it's unusable and potentially dangerous otherwise.

My expectations are low, and I am easy to please. Experience was good, they try with what they have. They could upgrade their fitness center with reliable/working machines. Breakfast was ok with little variety for low carb options. Rooms are clean to my knowledge and demands, you get what you pay for. Will probably stay again if need be.

Check in took forever even though nobody was in front of us. The worker was not professional at all, swearing about his computer going slow. The outer door in the rear by where they told us to park didn't work. The room itself was ok although the shampoo and conditioner were half empty so we did not chance using them. There were no towels in the pool area. You had to ask for them at the front desk. The hot tub was out of order. I would not stay here again unless it was the only place available.

The pool and hot tub were great. There was a full breakfast in the morning-eggs, sausage, waffles, toast, hot and cold cereal, fruit and beverages. The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. I would stay here again.

The room was in decent condition but the main reason we booked here was for the pool/hot tub. They were unavailable the entire stay.

Had to switch rooms. Airconditioner was leaking water on to floor. Wish there was an elevavator

First of all the place did not have an elevator. There were shady looking people and cars in the parking lot. I told my son as we were leaving, this is either a drug or prostitution joint. Very eerie and creepy place. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating at least. Breakfast was pretty standard and decent.

The customer service was awful. The have bedbugs and when was told about it the night audited was very rude. I paid $409.00 for three night stay. They are still holding 79.92 of my refund as of today since 5/9/2024 when I had to check out that same night. If you enlarge the picture you can see the bedbug that bit me it has blood in it.

The room was clean, although it smelled of smoke. The property in general seemed poorly maintained - the carpets were stained and there were weeds growing everywhere outside.

I was very happy with the room til I was awaken in the night feeling something crawling on my chest and neck. Jumped up went to bathroom pulled off my pj top and there it was a bedbug crawling on my pj top. I was very disgusted and angry. I had to go to management to show and let him know, about the problem in my room. He was nice and offered another room but I turned it down. I checked out that very late night after ckng and washing my clothes to find another hotel. 😾💗

The hallways have ripped up walled and carpet. The room smelled like weed. The room looked a dog had ripped the carpet from the walls and it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The bed was the only thing I would touch. Disgusting. I did not stay there. My room was non refundable and I still left after walking in the door. Wasted money. Found a better hotel elsewhere for around the same price.

Room 107 has bed bugs, multiple evidences on sheets, skirting, and in between box springs. Spent the night somewhere else. Embarrassed to speak about it to staff because other guests were around and you sometimes get what you pay for with quality and economy. I just want a better experience for myself if I ever stay again and others who stay here.

Staff was nice. Room was….ok. Smelled like old mop. Had to air it out. Bathroom light kinda barely worked. Place was nit in good repair in general. There was a cigarette burn on the comforter and the bathtub.

The hotel was very clean. It does smell like smoke from when they allowed smoking in the hotel and this gave me an allergy flare up. Our tv was broken for the two nights we stayed. They tried to fix it but it went out again as soon as they did. The refrigerator was about to break and was so loud we had to unplug it to have a conversation. Our room was meticulously clean and we appreciated that. The pool was clean too and breakfast was good. We felt safe. We would stay again for a low price.

Very clean . Convenient. Safe and quiet this is second visit in one month

Facility was so rundown and dirty that i ended up booking at a different hotel.

We stayed in the king suite with jacuzzi. The room was very spacious and clean. The only downside was no elevator to the second floor

Beds were way too small. The bathroom was very small and the shower sprayed everywhere but on me.

Overall stay was average. Chosen because the location was convenient to my business needs. Reserved a room for three nights, and each day. The room got canceled, must’ve been a computer glitch somewhere. Additionally, in room heater and fridge were loud and prevented a good night sleep.

Overall the room was clean and comfortable, the only thing that I was not comfortable with was the lock on the door didn't lock all the way and the bathroom was very small.

The hotel was older. The front lobby looks like they have put time into to make it nice. We did not try the pool, but it looked nice. We were not sure if the hallways were in the middle of being remodeled or if baseboards were ripped off - wallpaper was also coming off, but it may be part of a remodel? The room was clean, but old. There is laminate flooring in the entire room, but again, it was clean. The door outside to the stairs up had a room with window next to it that was quite scary looking inside - I would make sure to close the curtains - not sure if someone was permanently living there or if it was a work room.

I booked the suite with jacuzzi paid more to have a nice room, the room was spacious, but few things I didn’t like, first the door handle was sticky and you will have to keep trying few times to get the handle open the door, the chair in the room was very dirty to a point where the blue clothes looks black like a mechanical grease, the area is absolutely not in the best safe spot make sure your belonging are with you when you get there to the room if you do choose to stay.

Booked a king room. Called by the hotel the day of to tell me they didn't have a king available ask if a double queen would be okay. Showed up to a double twin room with nothing else available.

This is the 4th time I had a reservation at this property, 2nd time in 3 weeks. I arrived with 2 very tired unhappy children at 8pm and they stated they did not have a reservation for me. after standing at the front desk for 25 minutes with no answer from the clerk we just left and found a much nicer, cleaner and less expensive hotel 5 miles down the road. We will never go there again!

I had reserved two rooms and they had only one available I reserved. Those who worked the desk (the female) was asking me about the six girls and where were they going to stay (which rooms). We are a school team of 3 girls and 1 boy (with long hair). So, I was not sure what they were getting at and seemed a little distraught or confused when thy realized the boy was staying in a room alone. The rooms were supposed to be next to each other, but at least they were down the hall from one another. It looked like the hallways were being renovated or were falling apart. The dining area was too small for the amount of people that were staying there. I am grateful the staff had figured things out after I called the principal of our school after 10:30pm (when our tournament was over), because the school was paying for our one-night stay, and those at the desk said they did not have any of their information on file. We eventually got everything squared away. I do not think I would stay here again with my high school team, but maybe myself in a pinch. Especially for $140.97 a room for one night. I have stayed in nicer places, with higher quality for less money. Not to mention one of students' parents read a review about how there were bedbugs not long before we stayed, and another coach had a broken hair dryer in their room. She was almost late to the tournament the next day due to waiting so long for those at the desk.

Late checkin was good. Room was clean but was never cleaned during our Monday thru Friday stay. We were able to get clean towels. Descent breakfast - warm sausage links only protein. Good location. Noisy people above us. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Weight room equipment in poor condition. Cost of room was good. Staff members were friendly

I would have found this hotel to be just fine at a lower price. When trying to decide between this location and a comparable hotel about half the price, we chose this more expensive downtown location expecting to be on a vibrant street with lots to do within walking distance. But the area was deadly quiet. A school, a football stadium, parking lots, office buildings. On a weekend, all deserted. We still had to get back in the car to drive to the business district to find a place to eat. But I will say the staff was all very friendly, and the hotel itself was clean, but dated.

Older property. Right downtown Battle Creek. Close to highways, entertainment and downtown restaurants. Clean and had a welcoming staff.

The property was very clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Location was excellent for us. Everywhere we needed or wanted to go do was 10-15 minute drive.

I had a great stay located downtown. Nice and quite and very clean .

It was after 7pm when I arrived. The parking lot was frightening. I didn't get out off my car. Being I was alone I did not stay. The photos are very deceiving. I choose to keep driving.I ended up staying at the Hilton garden Inn in Tinley Park IL for the same price as the one I didn't stay at. I was still charged for the night because I could not cancel the reservation in time. Should have known not to stay at this hotel chain.

Hotel was ok. We had a huge gap in the door that someone from the outside could see in towards the bed. We had to cover it by putting the iron against the door. Unfortunately, we also had our vehicle broken into overnight while there. Room itself was spacious. Breakfast was good. Big fridge in the room was a huge plus.

This was a decent hotel and stay. I have stayed here before so I knew what to expect. My room was clean and quiet. The room was quite spacious and had everything I needed. A comfortable bed and pillows. Very nice staff. The only negative, they need to spruce up the breakfast, not very desirable except the juices. Overall, it was a good compfrtable stay.

The complimentaty breakfast is a wonderful addition to the services provided. Thank you.

In bad need of an update. The service was very good. The pool area was nice and clean. Room were "clean" but only the basics...we found an old pair of underwear in a corner... Bflst was about what we expected for the price, but eating area was small and got quite crowded--staff had trouble keeping up with food. I would maybe go back, but wouldn't necessarily recommend it to others who may be used to nicer setting.

As soon as we got to our rooms i found that the tv wasnt working. Called front desk and was told maintenance would be there asap to fix it. Waited over an hour and tried to contact front desk again with no answer. Never was corrected. Breakfast was the worse i had ever had at a hotel/motel. Waffle batter was seperated an spoiled, the "eggs" and sausage cold. There was sticky stuff all over the floor and tables. The pool was as hot in temp as the hot tub!!!! Almost to hot for kids to even get in the pool. I will never stay here again.

Ice Downtown hotel. Room clean and comfortable. Did not use pool this trip. 'Hottib down until furtjer ntice'- that was disappointimg ( was closed last visit also). Breakfast has goos options. Meat, eggs, bread, bagels and waffles.
