Hampton Inn & Suites East Lansing/Okemos

Lobby was under construction but otherwise everything was excellent.

Eveything great from parki g to pool

Ran out of food, worker said she couldn't make more. Ran out of orange juice. Cold hot tub, which the hot tub is the reason we picked this hotel. Jets didn't work on it either. Was told the heat was turned down on hot tub because of kids using it. Did not see any kids in pool area while we were there.

Location was great. Pool was awesome since it closes at 11pm. Food was good.

Hot tub wasn't working and was dirty. Didnt feel clean in the pool area. Outside was dirty. There was trash around outside of hotel. I didnt feel this hotel was kept up with very well. Our bathtub drain/plug didnt work to keep water in tub for a bath. We have stayed at other Hampton Inn's that were very nice, but didnt care for this one.

Nice room, friendly staff but the property was undergoing repairs. One elevator not working, lobby out of commission. I felt due to circumstances and some inconvenience room should have been less expensive.

Nice hotel, clean and up to date. not the newest and not the oldest, still a really nice hotel. Friendly staff. Everything was clean. Breakfast was fresh and hot. Pool was nice but hot tub was a little cool. Great location and hotel for a family stay.

So the property is apparently under construction Very cramped conditions Could have discounted the room more for what was offered Pool open But overcrowded and no towels Water precipitation coming from ceiling Unruly kids running around Hot tub had unsupervised kids definitely under 14 in it at times

Property needs to be refreshed. Front entrance not usable, had to enter from side door. Asked for a room on second or third floor, but was told that would be an upgrade and was given room first floor across from the pool. Would not stay here again.

water main damaged in January 2024 has not been repaired so the lobby and breakfast area is not open the pool and fitness area were closed

Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. The problems we had were that the hot tub was really gross, and we didn’t get the room we reserved. The biggest issue with that was that we weren’t told at check in, and forced to call and ask why we weren’t in the room which they said they were overbooked…. I have never heard of this happening, they blamed it on us using expedia(which I always book third party). I don’t know then our room was missing furniture it was supposed to have and the tub had no drain stop so my daughter couldn’t take a bath. It was overall not great. Would not stay here.

The room was so spacious and so clean. The bathroom was spotless and the shower pressure was excellent. After a long day of tailgating and an MSU football game, got the best rest to enjoy Sunday with our son at MSU.

1st day pool was freezing. 2nd day it was closed. Room was not clean, but hotel was full ao we couldnt be moved. There was a visible stain and smell of vomit on our bedroom carpet. They gave us towels to cover it since we couldnt be moved. Breakfast on Sunday ran out of several things before the 10am cutoff. Both days they had a broken waffle iron.

Room was clean and nice, hotel staff is a 10/10 very friendly…Amy who was serving breakfast was amazing! She deserves to be recognized not only did she do great at keeping items full on a busy weekend she also greeted everyone and made my kids feel at home they even said mom she’s really nice! Pool/hot tub was not very appealing, both very cloudy, possibly From too many chemicals, my sisters skin broke out when she got out (super red) but hot tub was dirty and there were ants around it and bubbles didn’t work but kids still had fun. I would probably stay again I’m sure the pool and hot tub will be getting delt with and will be fixed.

The staff was friendly and helpful but they are understaffed. Our room was made up well but the blankets were obviously not washed from the prior guest and it took a while to get a fresh blanket. We did have very positive interactions with the staff that were working during our stay.

AC in the room was moldy and smells terrible.

Everything was fantastic other than the sink drained very slowly. Otherwise, it was very clean, it was quiet - I am an RN and spent my oncall night there - felt safe, no loitering riff raff, continental breakfast was good.

Staff was exceptional friendly, and morning breakfast had a few different options to choose from. Pool was nice, hot tub jets and maintenance needed some attention. Overall, cleanliness of room and overall property was nice. Would recommend.

Lots of room in our king suite. Nice having two tvs, fridge, sink, microwave and cabinets. Unfortunately, there were several short curly dark hairs on top of our comforter as well as in our towels, so that kind of ruined it for us. The cabinet doors were coming off the hinges. I think the room needs some maintenance and a good cleaning

Customer service is great at this location. Lots of restaurants very close. The tv did not work well at all and many stations said no signal. When I asked about it they said they have had problems for a few weeks but nothing has been done to correct it. My sink had the drain stopper stuck in the down position so nothing drained and an employee had to force it up with a screw driver. The elevator at the end of the building where my room was only worked coming up from the first floor and was out of order to take back down.

The room was good. Our sink was clogged and slow draining. The internet was basically nonexistent. Had to use hotspot from our phones. We did put do not disturb sign on our door and they still came in the room. It worked for this stay but i wouldnt book a room here again.

Everything was great except the shower. It's too small. Also, the toilet is really short. Otherwise, it was a great place. I love the free breakfast.

We loved the spacious room! Shower needs updating. Construction on the main floor was happening, so there was a lot of chaos in the hallway. Breakfast options were really good, and I appreciate that it runs until 10 am!

Old dated rooms which need upgrades. They had a box spring bed which was uncomfortable. It left me and my wife with a back pain which we are trying to address even after the trip is over…

Requested room on top floor, got room on first floor next to pool, very loud and hotel booked so no opportunity to move. Breakfast good. Room not well stocked with toilet paper and soap. I didn't like that when I called for these items they wanted me to come to desk which was as far from my room as I could get and still be in hotel. There was also a problem with the toilet overflowing and they brought plunger for me to use because maintenance doesn't work wknds. I said I couldn't and front desk clerk finally came down to do it. Asked for more towels after drying floor from toilet. Nobody ever brought more.

Late night staff at this establishment were rude and unhelpful during emergency weather. However the AM staff were amazing and very accommodating. During our stay we were without power and they provided

Property was great, upgrades were being done. Beds were a bit hard for my liking. Only bad thing was I did not get the room I booked and paid for. The front desk gentleman were great, but had said the manager moved all these rooms around. I was originally put in a downgrade from what I booked. They moved me to a similar room to what I booked but it still wasn’t the same. It was an extremely busy weekend for the area so I understand lack of availability but do NOT move rooms on someone who books a suite and put them in a standard room. Was told I would get compensation but have yet to see any of it.

the afternoon to midnight check in people were great and the daily room cleaning crew was something we have not seen at motels lately.

Best Hampton I’ve stayed at. Our room was very nice. The breakfast very good and the lobby very welcoming. Staff was very nice.

Family check in late night… only one staff available in check in and i feel bad for her coz she is doing everything including linens…way understaff for a Big hotel….!!!!

I have called around 6pm and notified them about my late arrival. I gave tentative arrival time midnight and we showed up at midnight. There was nobody at the front desk for 40 minutes. The phone rang off the hook. My family and I were tired after 10-hr trip and grew frustrated. Finally, at 12:40AM short black woman came to front desk. She was rude and wouldn't hear any complains. She gave me arrogant sermon and room keys. I couldn't sleep till 3:00AM. We feel that customers are not appreciated at that hotel. We will not stay there any time soon.

I reserved our room online with our bank card, with the option to pay differntly at check in. At check in, I gave the lady a credit card to pay. She checked us in and we asked for a receipt. She said she was unable to print one and would email me a copy. The toilet seat was crooked in our bathroom and off to one side a couple inches. Next morning we took showers and it was very dangerous. The tub was narrow and sloped in towards the middle way more than any tub I have seen. It made standing very hard and slippery, as the flat center was so narrow due to the sides sloping so much. We checked out, asked about the receipt that we hadnt received yet and the other lady said she would email it to me. A few days later I got a text saying I had low funds in my checking account. I looked and the $170 had been taken out of my account for our stay. They used my bank card that I reserved the room with. Now I am wondering if they double charged me using both cards. Also, I never received an emailed receipt. So I called the hotel front desk to see about the billing. I told the guy everything, he checked and said only my bank card was charged, but they did have the credit card on file. He appoligized for them charging the wrong card and asked if there was anything else he could do. I told him that I never received an emailed receipt, he checked and the lady never put my email in the system after giving it to her. He asked again if he could help with anything else. Terrible service!

Had to wait for a person at the front desk for both check-in and checkout. Otherwise the stay way excellent.

The staff was excellent and so kind. There was an error on the Hilton side, and Karen worked so diligently to correct it. She really went above and beyond. She was so cheerful and made our stay great.

This is a very nice hotel when it's located very close to downtown Lansing Michigan. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place in the Lansing Michigan area.

Our family decided to take a mini vacation while on break, and staying here worked out very well for us. The hotel was clean, staff was extremely lovely and we were able to have a very nice time. Its central location also made it easy for us to get out and do a bit while in the area, we all felt it was an all around great choice.

I liked the location. It was convenient and close to the highway, places to eat and the university. Breakfast was also good. Rooms were large and comfortable. I did not like that we were not given any notice that the property is under construction. We arrived late at night and the "Hampton Inn" signage was not on, so it was difficult to find. The hot tub was not functioning and there was no notice of that when I made the reservation. We specifically made the reservation to this location because of the hot tub, in addition to the other items that made it an ideal hotel. Overall I am glad that the hotel appears to be getting an overhaul.

The best breakfast options ive ever had. The 2 different options for the waffles and the great toppings(chocolate chips and chocolate sauce) great hot options to chose from too. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Love the size of the suite we had,plenty of room especially with having kids.

Lobby is closed but "Temp lobby" looks small, uninviting and seems like it is the perm. lobby. Rooms sparce and minimal offerings. Breakfast again lacking any interest. All acceptable, clean, but just an OK property

The hotel was a pleasure to stay a. The people were friendly, the public spaces were clean and tidy. The room was clean and spacious. The temperature in the room was good. Comfortable beds with nice linens. The complimentary breakfast was amazing

The pool needs to be redone the chlorine fumes were making every person that went in their cough up a storm and eyes were burning like crazy. Also pool area could have been cleaned better. There was the same wads of hair on the ground all 3 days we were there. The breakfast was lacking as well. They were always out of something, eggs, milk and the food tasted microwaved. I have stayed at Hamptons my entire life and the breakfast has always been great but not this Hampton.
