Disappointing. The pool was closed indefinitely and that was the main reason we chose this hotel. Condition of this hotel is run down. Time for a major remodel. Recommend not making reservations through a 3rd party (I.e. Expedia) because hotel was not very accommodating when it came to negotiating a better price because of no pool. 1 of our 2 rooms got cancelled our 1st night inadvertently somehow, against my wishes, and hotel rebooked to another party (at a premium I’m sure). 2 stars is being generous.

Room was clean but smelled a bit musty. Staff were wonderful, especially John at Front Desk. Unfortunately the pool was closed both of our one-night stays this week (before and after our Chicago trip). We appreciated them getting a "To-go" breakfast ready for my family of five when we had to leave at 5:40 am for the train.

The 2 nd worst Hampton we’ve ever stayed at. Seriously dated, looked and felt dirty, pool/spa was down and had been down for about a month with no signs of it being worked on. Port Huron area is very depressed and we regret having included it on our trip to Michigan.

Room was dirty penut shells corner of the room by beds, pool wasnt clean dirt spots all around inside, hot tub wasnt in use not working very dirty. Breakfast was terrible as well! I wouldnt recommend this place at all and waste your money

I selected this hotel because of the price and its 4 star rating. But, the facility is very tired and worn. Regarding cleanliness, there were human hairs in multiple spots on the bathroom floor. Staff was great and breakfast buffet was very good.

As I stated to the management staff, the cleanliness was good but a little more attention to detail needed to be adhered to. My one concern was the carpet in the room, it was long overdue to be shampooed.

I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. Immediately upon arrival I found a tooth brush, a uses straw and a used straw by the bedside. After speaking to the gentleman at the front desk, he did come down and removed the items and told us he would speak to his manager in the morning. We went to dinner, came back to use the hot tub and it was not clean. There’re was sand inside it everywhere. We did talk to the gentleman at the front desk again and he said he would speak to the maintenance man in the morning and that something may be wrong with it. Went back to the room for the night and discovered there wasn’t a top sheet on the bed. Again, spoke tho the man at the desk. He handed us another set of sheets and apologized and said he would speak to housekeeping. The toilet clogged twice in our 2 day stay also. The breakfast area was clean but the tables and chairs were rundown and tattered. Although the staff was very friendly I would not recommend this particular hotel.

Booked reservation online, arrived for check in clerk at desk had issues checking us in, computers were not working, had to take information 3 times. Simple check in should’ve been 5 min was 20 minutes. Smell when you first walk in was terrible - consider air fresheners or a good clean. Ice machine on our floor wasn’t working. Hotel wasn’t busy and it was loud with the few people booked in. Bathroom was a disaster, shower/bath had dirty marks, ceiling in bathroom peeling. Bad smell in room Bed looked like it was thrown together, bed skirt was half off the bed. Room heat didn’t work we had to turn up to 80 to feel a bit of warmth. Tv was unplugged from the tv and the cord was dropped behind the cabinet. We were told half the amenities were not functioning until further notice (ie hot tub). We booked her because we always have great service and experience but this is not a hotel we’d book again, especially for the price we paid and found out not all amenities were available. Truly disappointed - this isn’t an 8-8.5 star, we’d give it a 5 if that.

Told front desk clerk upon arrival and he showed me another room/ same situation. Carpet worn out and dirty looking. Staff always helpful and breakfast very good, put out early and area very clean where you eat and come on hotel. This is NOT a four star hotel- no way. I did outside sales for a large hotel still in business- my property had to be top notch for me to bring the business people to lunch and show the rooms. More consistency in dressing of hotel staff would be more professional as well.

Definitely not a 4 star. Was on the first floor and it was noisy. The mattress was very soft and when you laid down it was more like a hammock. The desk drawer was open and could not be closed. Went to breakfast an hour before it was supposed to close and there was no coffee of any variety available. No waffle mix available, no oatmeal available. When I checked out at what should have been a busy time, there was no one at the desk, just a message to call a phone number. Worst Hampton Inn I've stayed in.

Air conditioner made a ridiculously loud noise. Loud noise in ceiling of bathroom . Fridge in room made noise. No sleep!!! Told front desk about it in the morning and she replied that they are doing Reno’s in February. If that is correct then hotel way over priced!! Also room smelled 💩. The stay was ok, but the property could use a refresh. The upholstery in the room and lobby was showing wear and needed to be cleaned. There were 3 layers of window coverings, the room darkening layer was fine, the sheer layer was very wrinkled and the outer decorative layer was o ly partially secured to the rod. The mini frig made a whooshing sound and had to be turned off to sleep. We stayed 2 nights but never received fresh towels or any housekeeping at all after the first nights stay.

Check-in and Check-out: No one at desk. Had to alert them from the office off the desk. Room: Small, cramped, dark (king bed). Location: Close to Blue Water Bridge. Note: I expected better for the price, it being a Hampton/Hilton Hotel. Also, a cheerful, welcoming person at the reception desk seems to be missing from a lot of hotels lately. Pity, because this can help erase other faults found in stay. Felt more like a “motel” atmosphere. We ended up not staying. Unfortunately losing cost of room.

My stay was great AFTER check in. While I was checking in the gentleman that checked me in kept telling me that my card was declined. I provided the proof that I paid at time of booking and that it was removed from my credit card (luckily I have it all in my app). He then proceeded to tell me that he will have to run it again (after I already showed him it was paid in full at time of booking). He then said that it was my incidental charge that was declined, which I also SHOWED HIM THE TRANSACTION GOING THROUGH . I don't know what the deal was, but there was a huge line behind me, and I thought it was crazy that he was arguing with me about the charges. Luckily I had proof of everything going through. He said he would have his manager get in touch with me (which never happened). It took me 35 min for something that should have taken 2. Other than that, the hotel is super nice and has a great breakfast. I do recommend that they train their check in staff a little better.

I chose this hotel because of a rating above 8 on hotels.com. Definitely was disappointed. Hotel is dated and not very clean. Old carpet and stains on furniture in room. Hot tub was not working which is one of the main reasons closed doe repair. Upon looking at older reviews it’s been closed for months. The group of guys continued their loud party until well after 1am. I’m not happy with the lack of sleep. Also, The lack of hotel enforcing quiet hours. The breakfast in the morning wasn’t any good either. I take several trips a month and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had all year.

Room was dirty penut shells corner of the room by beds, pool wasnt clean dirt spots all around inside, hot tub wasnt in use not working very dirty. Breakfast was terrible as well! I wouldnt recommend this place at all and waste your money

Room was clean. Heavy curtains coukd not be pulled across the window. Hot tub was not in service. People next door must have had kids that were wearing off energy, lots of thumps and bumps. Employee at front desk was awesome and gave me great directions to get to Highway 19. Breakfast was fantastic.

Definitely not a 4 star. Was on the first floor and it was noisy. The mattress was very soft and when you laid down it was more like a hammock. The desk drawer was open and could not be closed. Went to breakfast an hour before it was supposed to close and there was no coffee of any variety available. No waffle mix available, no oatmeal available. When I checked out at what should have been a busy time, there was no one at the desk, just a message to call a phone number. Worst Hampton Inn I've stayed in.

The check-in person was excellent, giving info about the WiFi access without prompting. He even texted later, to ask how are room was. As with other Hampton Inns, this hotel has a nice complementary breakfast.

Would definitely stay there again! Room was clean and comfortable. I think the breakfast was the best included hotel breakfast I ever had! Was i bit disappointed in the size and lack of bubbles in the hot tub but we made it work. Had fun in the pool area.

Staff was very friendly. The hotel itself is in desperate need of updating. The furniture is very worn and bathroom mirror was suffering from water damage. Pillows were not comfortable. Bed was comfy though. A/C would not regulate. It was either on until you are freezing and turn it off or leave it off until it got too warm. Set it at 70 but it kept running until it was turned off. One night was ok but I’d want nicer for anything longer. Find this more and more with Hampton Inn’s, either they are really nice or rundown. Not a lot of consistency.
