Place was under renovation so understandably it’s not the cleanest, but our room was in acceptable condition. We stayed for 3 nights. The courtyard looks very clean and well maintained. Staff seem genuinely polite and concerned for our satisfaction. I would stay there again for sure.

Property was fine to rest your head. Needs to be upgraded. Sidewalks, stairs to the second level were in terrible shape. Bathroom was in need of towel racks!! Get what you pay for! Would not stay at this property again. The front desk staff were very nice and check in went smoothly.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay in Port Huron. We loved how quiet it was. Although we didn't get to enjoy it, the courtyard was a very nice perk. Although an older hotel, the room was recently renovated and the beds were very comfortable. I liked that hotel staff was available 24/7 and tea and coffee were available 24/7 as well. One criticism I have is that I wished that the stairs leading up to the 2nd floor rooms were better lit. The person I stayed with has some vision struggles and he commented that some reflective tape on the stairs would make a huge difference. Other than that, it was great!

The room didn’t look like it was cleaned at all. The floors were filthy and the one queen bed had weird crumbs all over it, so my friend and I had to share a bed. The bathtub had a mysterious yellow stand on it and we believe it was dried urine. All of our towels also had yellow stains on them, and so did a few of the pillows. We were in the hotel only to get ready and to sleep so it wasn’t the biggest deal, but it would’ve been nice to sleep in a clean place after a long day of travel and being at an event. The lady at the front desk was kind and friendly when I checked in, and she was very helpful with information about local cab companies.

I was shocked at how many positive reviews this place has. It has been “remodeled” but literally the remodel is just painting over everything. Paint is already peeling both on the outside and inside of the property. Our room was so dirty that I took my socks off and my feet were totally black by the time I got to the bathroom. Bathroom was moldy. Felt like there were crumbs in my bed? I’ve never experienced that ever at a hotel before. Leftover food in the fridge? I really don’t think our room was cleaned at all. The beds were made? People were fighting and screaming outside of our room at midnight. Terrible. Will never return.

We checked into a jacuzzi room. You can tell the property has been trying to upgrade with new furniture and flooring but the smell of mold was overwhelming and we found that it was covering one of the walls. The staff was able to switch us to a new room which was definitely better but still had some cleanliness issues. The positives of the stay were that the staff helped immediately and the beds were comfy.

The staff was great and the room looked neat and tidy. There was a very nice outdoor area with comfortable chairs for people to use. The hotel was easy to get to and close to Birchwood Mall and the other shopping and dining options there. Unfortunately, the people staying above us were very loud, so it was difficult to sleep, even with a sound machine. We also found mould on the sheers when we opened the curtains in the morning.

The charging ports in each bedside table did not work. All 6 of them. The bedside tables also had severe wearing where you could see pressboard under the veneer. The couch in the room was tattered with holes and the bathtub faucet was not secure and just kind of bobbed around, it made it difficult to lift the knob to turn the shower portion on. The connecting room door did not lock properly. The staff was amazing, though, and the bed comfy. Due to the overall shabbiness I won’t be returning.

We came to Port Heron for a family funeral. I knew we would not be in our room much, so I went with a hotel chain that we have stayed in before. The hotel has been going through some major repairs to the building, and updating the property. As they keep updating this property it will be nice, as any older property it takes time. The room was very clean, nice beds to sleep in, just no place to hang clothes, or a dresser to put them in. No coffee pot in the rooms either. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. We would go back and stay again as you can tell it is a work in progress. It takes time to make changes and with a wonderful staff makes the little things easy to overlook.

This is an economy hotel, but it met all my needs as a traveler. My room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. All I needed was a place to sleep, so the fact that the room itself isn't fancy was fine with me. It did have a microwave and a mini-fridge, which I didn't use. The breakfast choices were minimal, but enough to give me a fast start to my day. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was surrounded by other commercial buildings on a main road full of shopping centers, stores and chain restaurants. It was the perfect location for my travel plans: five minutes away from the Canada Duty Free entrance to the Blue Water Bridge and five minutes away from Michigan's interstate highways.

We couldn't find the hotel, it did not have a sign from the road. I had to call the hotel and they told me how to find them. It was located in a dingy parking lot behind a gas station and Uhaul parking lot. One bed was super clean, the other had hair all over it and so we requested new bedding. The girl was friendly and brought it right away.

Two people booked - had to beg for second complete towel set - shower extremely difficult to turn on, minimal toiletries there 1 one tiny bar of soap, two packets of shampoo…. Bremote for tv didn’t work… Breakfast was an apple or tiny muffin with waffle maker not hot enough. Substandard for a Days Inn by Wyndham. We were counting on typical for the chain, and were disappointed. Staff were very good, however. The place was not ready for guests.

It was good for what it was. And what it was, was a cheap place to study overnight while on the road. The bathroom door (138) wouldn't close the whole way, and when we tried to, it was very hard to open!!! For a one night stay it was comfortable and clean - we were surprised that there wasn't much of a breakfast, only coffee/hot water and pastries - not what we were expecting but it was something anyway - I had a bagel and hubby had his coffee and a muffin. We also realize a lot of the chains are r=still recovering from the pandemic and can’t get staff and supplies at a reasonable rate. Still a good one night stay for sure, easy on and off the interstate system. If in the are again, would stay.

I paid for a room for 2 weeks for my brother and his wife. Due to life threatening medical emergency my SIL was transported by ambulance to the ER. My brother checked out that day, 5 days early, to stay at the hospital. I requested a compassionate refund which they denied due to “the room being occupied” the full term. The room was occupied because a staff member gave the turned in key to the room I paid for to two 18 year olds (my niece and nephew) because the room they paid for had expired. They did this without my concern or knowledge. They broke their own rules of having to be 21 to rent a room. And have my room to teens without my consent. My SIL was in icu 3 or 4 days and remained in the hospital for 9 days. When I went to the hotel to talk to the manager she was not in. When I requested that she be called I was told they can’t do that. When I asked for her number I was told they can’t give me it. When asked for corporate number I was told they don’t have it. The rooms are ok. Not the cleanest and when asked for fresh towels they weren’t received. The hotel staff was too busy hanging out with their guests (my teen niece and nephew) and BBQ’ing with them to care about their job. Avoid this hotel!
