Convenient check-in, able to park our trucks with small trailers onsite. Very clean room with comfortable beds. The man that checked us in was so polite and friendly!

The location was good. The room was clean, although there was an odor that I couldn't identify - just old, maybe. I would not stay here again, based mostly on the fact that there are NO IN-ROOM COFFEEMAKERS and NO MICROWAVES! The owner nicely said there was coffee available 24-7 and 2 microwaves - HOWEVER, they are located in another room that is located about halfway between all of the rooms -- these are outside entry doors. So to get coffee in the morning, one must go outside and walk however far it is necessary to get to this room with coffee and microwaves. This is Northern Michigan. It's cold in the winter. It was 19 one morning (with a windchill of 11). My husband got dressed and walked to the coffee room. The parking lot had a lot of ice and snow on it. When he returned, the door was opened, of course, letting in cold air. It is not a good situation and is not very user-friendly to those who stay there. The bathroom was extremely basic. Extremely. The shower door was flimsy and barely wide enough to accommodate a medium-sized person. We paid at least $20 more, per night, than friends who stayed in another place where they had in-room coffeemakers and microwaves and a basic continental breakfast. The owner was pleasant, but this place just needs to be updated with basic amenities.

Positives: Handy parking. Area felt safe. Location close to everything. Very clean. Spreads on bed looked new. Staff very friendly. We appreciated having poo bags and a pooper scooper in pet potty area. Negatives: I'm probably just cheap but a charge of $30 per pet, per night seems excessive for two very small, quiet, house broken dogs.

Our visit was great! As other guest stated, bathroom is small. But it works and is clean. Beds were really really comfy. The bbq area with tables was super. Coffee, ice microwave. Perfect. Staff could not be more hospitable . Watched 4 July parade from property . Location very convenient to our activities. Be happy to stay again.

The room was much bigger than I anticipated. It was clean. There was a television, fridge, tabke 2 chairs aling with 2 beds. The bathroom had a large shower, but the shower head is lower than normal. Great water pressure. Fabulous for hot showers. There are safety handles if you are traveling with those needing more security in slippery places. There was an abundant supply of towels. The toilet is situated in a way that may be problematic for larger bodies. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and makeup wipes supplied. There is a blow dryer too. There is a covered picnic area with a grill. They have an area with an ice maker, soda machine, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and snack machine. The man checking us in was super nice. He gave us a map and some suggestions on things to see. One was the Soo Lock boat tour which we did. The key has a mini flaslight hookered on it. Convenient, accept it kept turning on by itself and was very bright. We but it in the bathroom and closed the door at night. Ha!

The Budget Host Crestview hotel is an older motel, with some modest upgrades. Nothing fancy. The room was clean and very quiet. The hotel is pet-friendly and the rooms are extra large, which is great when you have 2 dogs with you. Because of the extra space, the room felt luxurious and easy to work in. The TV is 4K, which was a wonderful surprise.

Great location. Free coffee and a vending machine. No breakfast or other food. Bed was acceptable. Buildings and interiors really need updating and some repair. Typical Ma & Pa, not run by Ma & Pa. Friendly and fairly reasonable. I’d stay again.

Older establishment but they make up for it with friendly, old fashioned customer service. Comfortable bed, hot shower and well heated. Parking lot and sidewalks were cleared of snow and salted. 24 hr customer care center with snacks, microwave ovens and free hot beverages. A hidden gem!

The room was strangely set up with two locked doors to go through. Room was freezing cold and it took a long time to warm up. Bathroom was very small and shelf kept the toilet lid from staying up. Bed was clean and comfortable.

Took the air quite a while to cool the room. Barhroom was quite small, but overall acceptable.

The AC worked, but only on high, so it was pretty loud. Actually did sleep well with the loud drone of the AC though. The mattress was not great. Check out staff was great and the room was clean and tidy.

Parking was super easy...right outside out door,, The front desk staff was very nice & pleasant. Great check in experience.

Our stay was great. After 14 hours on the road we got a nice quiet night. Marsha and Tony were great hosts.

It was easy to find and the gentleman in the office was very pleasant. Would stay here again.

Staff at front desk are very friendly, room was clean and stocked well with towels. There were three adults traveling, they had a spacious room with 3 full beds and a nice round table and chairs. Perfect for our travel needs

Upon our arrival, I was greeted by who I believe are the owners children. They were extremely friendly. Very down to earth and really seemed to want me to enjoy my stay. I’ve been to many other hotels where the Desk people were borderline rude because they just wanted to get me checked in and moved down my way. These two greeted me as soon as I walked through the door with a big smile on their faces They asked me how my trip was and treated me like they’ve known me for quite some time. They also instructed me where the ice machine and other things were at so I wouldn’t have to search. Anyway, they were very friendly. We went to our rooms unloaded our stuff then we went out to get something to eat. When coming back after dinner, I ran into the owner in the parking lot Who is taking care of the parking lot, cleaning it and checking with other guest to see if everything was going well. When we got up in the morning, I saw the owner and his wife cleaning rooms. Then I noticed both of the children were also helping clean rooms. This really impressed me how well their family works together and how pleasant they all were about working together. I guess long story short this family owned business is taken care of the way I would if I owned it. My family was very happy with our rooms and we were very happy with their customer service. We will be back again.

Perfectly right in the middle of the soo lock and lake state college.

The Inn was older, but kept up very well! The location was perfect for our trip.

Stayed 2 nights so i could do the Agawa Canyon train. The location was perfect and the place was dated but clean and quaint. I would stay again.

The room was so clean! Cheaper than options with more amenities that we weren't interested in anyway. Loved having fresh coffee available all the time, the view is beautiful, and it's an easy walk into town. Room was much more spacious than I expected, and there was a nice little table with chairs that was great for dining. I'll have to bring my dog next time I stay here!

The property and personnel were great. It does seem to me for $155/night there might have been microwaves in the room and some kind of a breakfast, which they clearly used to do. But we slept well and all was comfortable.

The room was a very nice size and the check-in gal was nice and helpful. No coffee pot in the room so it was more of an effort to habituate to the coffee room. Handyvlication.

Thus motel is very nice...a bit dated..but clean. Was not a fan of having my room on the road side. They have a Coffee area, with a microwave & Ice Machine. NICE! No blow dryer in room. Luckily i allows pack mine. I will return to this motel.
