Quality Inn Traverse City

The hot tub was broken in November when I was there last and was still broken 3 Months later. That was the primary reason I selected this property. Never again.

Room carpet was so dirty, same for the pool and pool area, water and floor of the pool area were awful.

One employee doing everything. No tissues. Toilet paper low without xtra roll in room. Called for items and phone never answered. Elevator broken. Hairs in sink and shower. Only one washcloth. Parking lot filthy. Not worth what room cost

First of all I’m very upset about the misleading advertisement of this hotel! I was looking for a pool with hot tub and drove an extra hour due to limited availability, paying hot tub prices with a non refundable purchase, come to find out the hot tub was broken! Then to find out that they were telling everyone a different story about why, or how long it had been down. We get to the pool area and it looked like a war zone, with an empty hot tub that’s connected to the pool. There was a table upside down outside of the hot tub with caution tape all over it and not one clean towel to be found. I went to ask for some towels and the guy said “I’ll see if I can get some” and brought 4 towels in and threw them up on the shelf. While walking back from the front desk, I noticed several staff members standing in an area near the kitchen, they were cooking and laughing but nobody was doing anything to really tidy up the building. I went to get coffee (one of the amenities) and there was no coffee, hot water or snacks like there was supposed to be. I realize that it was a busy weekend and that my money doesn’t matter but it bothers me that the next person would just come along and get suckered into thinking they are getting a decent price for the amenities offered to find out they LIED !!!

Great value, room was nicer than expected, breakfast was ok, the pool/hot tub was closed.

Everything was clean and stocked. The pool/hot tub was closed which was a bummer. But the price was right and the breakfast had waffles so...

Older property very worn down not being improved much Outside access doors to room felt unsafe/ no chain locks -so much that we put large objects in front of them to help ensure safety. Pool area was ok and usable but hot tub was broken and had been for some time . Moldy bathroom ceiling tiles, and drain plugs . Affordable weekend getaway as long as your standards are too high .

The room was exactily as expected as we have stayed here several times before. However the last 2 times in a row the pool/hot tub were closed which was never disclosed at the time of booking. We were rather disappointed to find out it was closed after we paid for the room. Had we known we would have booked another hotel

Kind and friendly staff. The pool was dug up and I wish that had been mentioned because my nine year old was disappointed but the front desk clerk gave him a cookie and was very kind. No working elevators so I was glad we didn’t have a ton of luggage but the next morning when our room keys weren’t working after we came up from breakfast my little boy and I had to make many trips down stairs to try and get the keys to work again. Front desk was able to make one key work and we were happy to be back in our room as the lobby is very very warm. Large, clean, and comfy beds. My son appreciated the WiFi and the tv channel guide as we are not from the area and we don’t know what to watch. Breakfast was great. Too warm in the room but the food was tasty and there were quite a few options. I would stay here again but with little luggage and no expectations of swimming. For the price it was a good pick! We needed something last minute and only for one night so it worked out fine.

Filthy dirty and complete dis repair smelled parking lot is littered with thousands of cigarette butts garbage smashed beer cans. The rooms are cobbled together and they don’t even feel clean. They smell the Elevator was disgusting. I mentioned to the manager, and the guy just shrugged his shoulders disgrace. I live in a beautiful town and this is just an eyesore I left. There was a homeless guy dead Outside next to the pool. To charge with a charge for two nights it’s just an abomination I’d like a complete refund. I don’t know how you people can charge so much for a room and a hotel that is so disgusting. I’m very serious. I’d like to have my money back, but they have a minimum so it cost me $500 to stay in a dump. Is that what you want believe me I will Not stopping complaining about this hotel and telling people never to go to it’s disgraceful it’s an absolute dump and when the guy shrugged your shoulders, I know Doesn’t that say it all?

Trash all over parking lot. Dead bugs all around room entry doors. Exterior lights located where you cannot see room numbers and are so bright. Entry into bathroom from all is strange.

Room was gross outdated and spiders in the corners. Would not recommended staying there.

Very dirty sheets, carpet, pillow cases, towels and shower curtain. Stains and dirt everywhere. Disgusting. Never again.

It wasn’t the cleanest or most comfortable stay. Tons of bugs swarming our door.

I guess I should not have expected more for the price but what a horrible place. Had o get my own toilet paper at the front desk, no soap in the shower, dead bolt lock broken, chair in room broke also-almost fell. Hair in the bed-not my color, parking lot full of trash. The breakfast was one saving factor but never again.

Check in very slow. And during that time other guest came back to the desk and complained the room they were given was not cleaned from previous guest. Building dirty all around property, trash, all around. Could not open curtains the windows covered with spider webs on outside of windows, and just dirty. not very well maintained very black mark for your brand. Way too much for the room.

Not very clean and also found in the bathroom when I turned on the lights in the morning small cockroaches running behind the toilet. Not very impressed with the hotel.

This hotel was quite expensive to reserve online. When we got there, there was trash and empty cans on the sidewalk. Weeds were growing up through the concrete. It didn’t appear the building had been washed in years because of the debris, spider webs and bugs. I certainly wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The hotel is older - carpets are kind of dingy. Baseboard in bathroom was replaced and it's too short - left a horrible, dirty edge all around the room. The bottom of the bathtub was cracked in several places. It needs a major overhaul. That said, great location - bed was very comfortable! And the price was right :-)

Property was clean. Staff was friendly. Mattress was uncomfortable. Bathroom was extremely small and painting job was horrible. Walls were very thin. Heating unit was very loud. Overall for the price it was good.

They staff is nice. My room was clean. But there was people outside all night long every night yelling and parting. Was hard when I work so early and got horrible sleep cause of the outside noise.

Manager ignored me for five minutes when checking in. Do not stay in Room 242 as the AC/Heater makes very loud noises.

We have stayed in hotels often recently and this is the only one we have stayed at that is not updated at all. Bed wasn’t very comfortable, bath tub was old, even an old alarm clock that didn’t work. It wasn’t nasty. Just not very nice. It is also the only one that charges a $100 deposit.

Bed was comfy. AC was quiet. Bathroom was adequate.

The room was clean as well as the pool/hot tub area. Front desk was very nice and efficient. The breakfast was a nice surprise. The room itself had some problems. Their were signs of updates but i think the people doing it need new glasses. Large areas in bathroom and mirror area had sections missing paint. The tub itself was missing the finish- it looked like in the center of it stick on type things were removed and it is literally peeling away- pieces flaking off as you shower even. It was very spongy feeling. The mattress felt like springs were sticking out. The only comfortable spot was on the edge. I don’t usually leave reviews this negative but it needs some work.

Seemed to be located in a run down area. Walls are thin , can hear people in room next to me.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here for longer than a night or so. The Wi-Fi is terrible hardly works wouldn’t connect to my kids tablets or my husbands phone, it worked on my iPhone but it was incredibly slow, the A/C wouldn’t stay on so the room got super hot at night and I’d have to keep getting up to turn it back on for it to shut off within a few minutes. The ice machine was broken and the fridge in the room froze all my food the windows don’t open so you can’t let any fresh air into the room. The breakfast was mediocre if you need a cheap place to stay it’s definitely cheap and it shows.

Front desk Mike and Alicia both very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was ok. Scrambled eggs (chopped too fine). , link sausage, waffles, bagels , toast, 4 cereals. Good coffee. Cappuccino machine, but I already had my coffee when I discovered it. Juice machine. Apples were pretty beat up. Cook/ attendant should probably pay more attention to wiping off tables and trash inconsiderate guests left behind. Hotel fixtures are definitely old. Room basically clean, but corners could use attention. My tub bottom was delaminating where you would stand for a shower, and soft underfoot. Cracks in the material, so probably leaking to the floor below. Wasn’t comfortable with the idea of soaking in the tub as this area probably collects debris that can’t really be cleaned. Very nice fridge; was cold when I got there. Pool and hot tub nice temps, but could be a bit cleaner. Hotel definitely needs a refresh, but I will stay here again. Again, front desk is outstanding! Red Mesa Grille, walking distance, has great Mexican food and margaritas

We just came from the sand dunes and were exhausted. The gentlemen that checked me in were prompt and attentive.

Have stayed here several times. Waited for 20 minutes to check in with no staff response. Found a housekeeper who tried to help. Finally left for our dinner reservation. Returned two hours later and checked in with no issues.

We got to the hotel two hours early and asked for an early check in. Our joining rooms were not ready and we were offered different rooms that were not joining and we declined because we wanted joining rooms. We let them know that we would be back after 4 pm the check in time. We returned at 6:35 pm to check in and our rooms were still not ready for check in. They went ahead and checked us in and gave us keys to our rooms and offered a I’m so sorry and nothing else. We would have paid the $45.00 early check in fee if our rooms would have been ready but we were offered nothing off with our rooms not being ready two and a half hours after check in time.

The staff was very welcoming, Alicia at the front desk was awesome, nice, and professional.

Horrible customer service. Room was not ready at check in. Was told to come back later. Also was asked rudely for a $100 security deposit. I requested to speak with hotel management and was provided only an email address. They would not give me a phone number to call. They then canceled my reservation and told me to leave the property because I was now trespassing. Hotels.com was a great help and was able to get me a refund and I stayed elsewhere. I do not recommend this hotel to stay at. Avoid it at all costs.

Our A/C was not working the first day and after reported problem, LaLoo promptly replaced with new A/C unit. Appreciate it.

We had a great stay this weekend. The staff was super accommodating. Armando at the front desk was a bright light in a very busy weekend!

Hotel had no cups for water in room, when attempting to use (both) of their vending machines (one food /one beverage) neither would accept paper bills. Only form of payment. When I asked for assistance from front desk, they stated they kept no cash on hand and couldn’t help me. Room smelled of smoke, mildew and pets. Far from downtown. For the price- I’d rather pay more elsewhere for cleaner, friendlier, more helpful staff with another hotel. Will not be returning to this location.

Close to town.

This property sits near the state park and across from the Bay. The rooms are updated and clean. Beds are very comfortable.

Hotel room was nice but a bit run down, spider on the roof, webs full of bugs in corners, weird entrance through the washroom. Staff was friendly but also wasn’t at the desk during our check out. Close to the beach which is nice and the pool was warm, hot tub seemed drained? A bit pricey for what we got but overall it was just a place to sleep for the night

Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good. But it could have been better cleaned. I wouldn't recommend it, but it served its purpose for one night.

I enjoyed my night's stay, the bed was super comfy and I liked the idea of the swimming area opens so early and closes later at night. I didn't enjoy that feature but I would stay again because of it. Loved the variety presented at the complementary breakfast. Staff was friendly. Close to the beach area. Would stay again

This place was horrible. Not one thing was what it was supposed to be or described as online . Very deceiving. Locked out of room when only going to get a coffee or run to car. No breakfast items as advertised. No hot tub as described. Rude and not apologetic.

Amazing staff at check in, great breakfast and breakfast staff. Overall not a bad stay, but stairs to second floor need cleaned and room could use an update of paint, especially in the bathroom. Overall, I would stay again.

Insanely priced. Rundown and unattractive property. Mold on ceiling, extremely old and ugly fixtures, dirty breakfast room and horrible unhealthy options no protein items, overly aggressive housekeeping- my absolute PET PEEVE. Marriott NEVER does that which is why I’m their loyal customer and only stayed here out of desperation. Charged me a late fee to check out at 12 after already paying over $400 for this roach motel. No guide on the tv. Wall unit a/c. Just gross

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Continental breakfast okay too. Waffles and juice and toast, bagels and cereal.

Room was clean, but noisy with outside noise. Heater did not work right. Breakfast was good.

The room itself was pretty clean and organized. The property had overgrown weeds and grass grown up all over the property. The parking lot had weeds overgrown covering walks. Breakfast was lacking due to breaking items “costing too much” according to the staff. This property could be very nice if some care was taken to clean the property.

Quality Inn had great reviews when booking. Had to ask for extras. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. The A/C did not stay on…. The room got hot really fast. The hot tub was not working. No hot breakfast one day. Did not accommodate us until after closing. That was too late already…had an emergency with my son. The hallways smelled like stinky feet/shoes.
