The hotel was nice and it is right downtown within walking distance of many restaurants. The bed seemed small for a king size. The roof top restaurant was closed (off season) but there was some type of event going on up there as we could hear the bass of the music well past 11 at night. You have to valet your car, cost is 18 a day, and during peak times you can wait quite some time for the one attendant to get everyones car one at a time.

Nice location and good food at the Kitchen. Very loud due to the roof top bar crowd though. Roof leaked into the fitness room which was a bummer. The guys at the Valet were super friendly and attentive. Great pillows. Rooftop bar is nice just too crowded and noisy.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Indigo before and this time I was a bit disappointed. The flooring was cracked and uneven in the elevators. In the fitness center, 2 of the 3 treadmills weren’t working. In the shower of my room, there was some mold on the shower floor and the shower faucet was very difficult to move to adjust the temperature of the water. I stayed in room 302.

Our room was clean upon first glance. When inspecting the bed sheets, not so much. Multiple stains were noted on the sheets and that was unacceptable. I went to the front desk asking for housekeeping to change the sheets, and was told housekeeping had went home already. The young lady at the front desk then promptly moved us to another room. This was much appreciated and made our stay much more enjoyable. Bar area had good drinks and good beer selection. Valet parking guy did a great job, $18 prepay on your room. Continue to check the pricing on your stay after you book. Our room went down almost $30, just a few days after booking. Contacting Hotels.com for OneKey credit is clunky. We would stay at this hotel again due to proximity to downtown dining, drinking and shopping.

started with the guy saying if I didnt use valet parking the police would ticket me for parking on street at night--we didnt get a ticket I signed up for full service and never had my room cleaned-I even went down after first night and asked again bathroom shower had globs of hair in it

The elevator floor was dirty, the room wasn’t clean and the rest of the place didn’t seem to be well maintained. While we probably will not return to Traverse City any time soon. I have a friend who lives there and would actually go out of my way to let him know the place wasn’t a nice place.

Room was not clean. A clump of hair in the shower drain upon check in, food leftovers in the fridge from the previous guest, and the bathroom floors were so sticky our shoes would stick to them. We stayed for 2 nights and asked for a room cleaning after the first night, due to the conditions, but no one ever came. We ordered pizza the second night of our stay and ate it in our room. We asked the front desk for some napkins or plates and they said they couldn’t help us with anything (there’s a restaurant / bar in the lobby). We’ll be staying elsewhere on our next trip to traverse city. Very disappointing for how much we paid to stay here.

The staff was great and super helpful and nice and especially the valets; Jake was awesome and is the gold standard for premium service. The hotel itself though was dirty, the rooms were very dark and spiderwebs everywhere and spiders in every corner and the trash bins stink for days without being emptied in the hallways. Whenever we saw the house cleaners they were always eating while working and so we just never had them clean the room to just keep our stuff safe. The floors are thin and so you here every footstep like there are elephants a live you and everyone we talked to said the same thing about noise. Bright spot is location to walk downtown and again the staff at the desk, valet, and restaurant/bar were awesome just a poor condition hotel especially for the price.

Property looks great, however the smell of raw sewage was so strong. We were immediately moved rooms which I appreciated but the very strong smell gave me such a headache. Staff was friendly, I’m not sure if there’s a plumbing issue or what’s going on but it’s too bad.

Valet was great, staff was friendly. It's right downtown on the water, can't get a better location. Comfy and cozy. BUT the bathroom door is one of those bar door thingies, and it would not shut! it would glide open slowly after 'shutting' it. I had to shim it with a towel to actually shut it.

The location was extremely convenient to the downtown area and beautiful view of the bay. The room was very nicely designed - one of the best hotel rooms we have ever seen - especially the bathroom! The rooftop bar is a nice extra. The only concern was the road noise since the hotel is right on a busy 4 lane highway.

Overall, this is a nice enough hotel. It is attractive, the rooms are clean and pleasant, the rooftop bar is a nice plus. But the noise, noise, noise from the road that is literally just feet outside your window if you have a bay view room is unbelievable. And the hotel claims the road construction does not go on during the night -- UNTRUE!! We stayed here Aug 25-27 and we endured a backhoe breaking up concrete and loading it into trucks from 2 am to 5 am just 20 feet outside our window. Like having a garbage truck unloading dumpsters full of rocks all night long outside your window!! And even when that isn't going on, there's the constant whine of traffic whizzing by all hours of the night just outside your window. If you stay here, DO NOT GET A BAY VIEW -- and they even have the nerve to charge extra for it! Our friends in another room had to request keys to a room on the other side of the hotel in the middle of the night because it was so bad.

Great location and the lobby is very inviting. Had coffee by the fire every morning. What I didn't like was our room was very dark. There was a single lamp between the two beds and a very small desk lamp. Had to use the TV for additional light. Was difficult to see yourself in the mirror when trying to get ready for a wedding. In addition, i paid for a view of the bay. While the view was nice, what was frustrating is that we heard every single car go by in the middle of the night. There is a major road right below our window. You would think that they would have paid for more soundproofing considering the cost of the room. It kept waking us up all night.

We stayed 3 nights and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. we didn't wait more than 5 minutes for anything we needed (extra towels, coffee etc). They were helpful and accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. I've stayed here before and I plan to again in the future!! 5 stars!!!

Doesn’t ever seem to be enough staff. Each night only one person working the bar and restaurant. On the first night, my group left after waiting too long to even get water. On another night, I was ready to leave and pay the check but the bartender/waiter had left to go deliver room service. We had three rooms booked and were asked each day if we wanted housekeeping and all said yes, but two of the rooms were never cleaned for 2 days. The other was only cleaned once. What’s the point in asking if you’re not going to clean? One morning I had an early departure, and I had to wait for the valet who also seemed to be the front desk clerk. I kept describing it as the Dollar General of hotels. There only ever seemed to be a few people running the entire hotel. And don’t get me started on the group of kids running around the hotel without adult supervision. At one point they were sitting on the elevator floor and riding it up and down. Then proceeded to jump and play around downstairs in the lobby and restaurant area. When I booked this hotel, I thought it may be a good option for another group trip later this summer, but I will definitely not be staying here again.

Communication is a problem. They say they will contact you about problems and never do. They had major construction going on right outside their bay front rooms that wasn't communicated. (They start at 7am). If I had known this, I wouldn't have booked. Not even if the room was free. They said they had it posted on the website, but admitted you could easily miss it. Another couple we met, was furious, as they also said there was no posting about it, and when communicated were also ignored with no resolve. The rooms are not inexpensive, their communication & resolutions for problems non existent, and transparency poor. Even the location was not worth this last stay for us, and I am still waiting for a call that was promised last week. We have not gotten our invoice, as promised via email, because they wanted to make sure what was promised would be delivered. I am not holding my breath. We will not be staying here again despite the great location. It's just too poorly managed for the $$$$.

Couldn’t be more disappointed, especially for the price. Decided to stay here for proximity and seemingly more “luxury” status for options downtown TC. No one waiting at valet, which is confusing as it’s the only option when you pull up to the entrance. Husband had to go inside to find someone. Once we finally unloaded, we waited at the front desk for a while, only to have someone check us in with no greeting, not even a “hello”, or even basic intro of the hotel amenities, etc. Rooms are so underwhelming, poorly thought out, TV doesn’t even have stations to watch a movie. We were really looking forward to staying here and now regret that decision.

The location was perfect. Across the street overlooking lake michigan and just 1 block from front street. Nice rooftop bar and everyone was very nice and helpful. Lake view rooms are a little noisy from the traffic but close all the shades at night and it muffles it enough. Valet parking took all of 2 minutes to get your car. Great stay!

Indigo is a very well kept property. It is clean and modern. The location is so convenient. You can easily walk to a lot of places. The staff was very friendly. I like that they offer a happy hour and live music in the lounge. The only con I had during my stay was the noise. I had a bay view room and the noise from the road was loud all night long. Next time I will try a city view room and hopefully that will help.

Spacious room. My wife loved the walk in shower. Across the street from Lake Michigan and the TART trails (which we greatly utilized). Liked the bike racks in front of the hotel. The terrace restaurant with its view in the lake was wonderful. Great breakfasts.
