Check-in is a very long process and very picky about having drivers license and credit card of only person that made reservation (no spouses). Hours of waterpark are too short!!

We haven’t left yet, but thought we’d share how things are going. The check-in was smooth. We were able to check in early (for a fee). There is also a parking fee. There are plenty of carts to assist with luggage and coolers and such. There’s plenty of activities available (Magiquest, Build a Bear,waterpark, characters, bowling) and lots of on-site food and beverage options (sit down, ice cream, pizza), a gift store. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The property is slightly starting to show its age, but it’s well maintained. We added a few additional packages and ate, drank, and were merry. We had a ball with our almost 4 year old granddaughter.

Our experience at Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, MI was the best! The beds were amazingly comfortable. The rooms with their vaulted ceilings and balcony made the rooms feel so large. We loved the sitting area in each room. Everything about the Great Wolf Lodge is an experience for kids and adults alike, from walking in the door being greeted with a wolf ear headband to the helpful agents at the check in desk. Our dining experiences were great & delicious. The indoor water park was a highlight for our family, both kids and adults. The "quests" our kids participated in were truly magical. Everyone came home with wands, capes and a touch of magic. An excellent time was had by all from ages 4 to 74. We'll be back!

We did a quick stay with our teens before dropping at summer camp. Spacious family suites that were super comfortable and gave everyone their own space. Beds were comfy and we had a nice day by their outdoor pool. The facility is geared toward young kids so our teens went through the mini golf, arcade and slides pretty quick. Tip - rent a cabana by the outdoor pool and do it early! There are only 4 and they go fast. Lots of small kids so don’t expect tranquility. Property is close to Traverse so it’s perfect to spend the day in town or hit the local beaches.

Fun-filled, magical escape with the kids. This is way better than other water park hotels. It’s clean with spacious rooms. It’s not overly crowded. I highly recommend. Will go again for sure.

The room was over $400 for my husband and I that checked in at 11pm. We asked for a 30 minute late checkout and was informed that would be an additional $59 which we declined. And on top of that they charge $15 to park. The room smelled musty. The room was very minimal as far as the bathroom vanity area. For the vost it should be top notch. WAY OVERPRICED!!

I really like the rooms but hotel carpet looks dirt and washed too many times. Inside of elevator was gross, metal doors and trim inside elevators look like they have never been cleaned or polished. The put put golf needs makeover all items really faded and some things broke

The water area was nice and clean. The room carpet was very gross. Beds and bedding are very uncomfortable. Prices are very gauged. 4.99 for a bottle of ice tea. The bar and grill restaurant didn’t have a bar tender so they wouldn’t even serve the kids milkshakes or anything and the food was super gross and expensive. I mean really gross. If we ever go back we will definitely bring all our own drinks and eat at restaurants not at the hotel. And bring our own bedding. They seriously need to clean the carpets in the rooms. Not just vacuum actually clean them cause they are nasty.

We rented a suite for our family of 6. It has 2 double/queen beds and a pull out sofa. The pull out sofa was horrible. There was a decline so your head was much lower than where your feet were. I called housekeeping because I thought maybe we didn't have it pulled out right. A woman came and said, unfortunately, that's just how it is. She said some people try and prop up the head area with the couch cushions, which we did try, but that made a big ledge/lump and was not any more comfortable. We, being a family of 6, stay in suites similar to this at other hotels, and have not had a problem with the decline like this before. These pull out sofa beds need to be fixed or replaced.

Our family of 6 had a great stay! The rooms are set up so perfectly for families, separate toilet/shower, mirrors and sink outside of that. Our younger kids loved the bunks. The water park was great!

For the most part our room was okay but definitely not for the price. The bed was very lumpy, the headboard was loose and noisy. The air conditioner could not be on "auto" or it sounded like a jet engine and did not regulate the temperature in the room, keeping us from restful sleep.

The check in process was a little crazy. I had to talk to a staff member while also using a kiosk. She was asking my questions while at the same time I had to scan cards and answer questions at the kiosk. I was also unaware of the $19 per night parking fee (I may have missed this on the hotels.com listing). The waterpark was great, I wish you could take the towels up to your room instead of freezing waiting for one of only 2 elevators. The food is incredibly pricey. The room was cute but for $400 I expected a little more luxury. All in all my kids had a great time but the price is prohibitive to returning.

Weather was not amazing, but you didn't have to leave the building for anything. Everyone was friendly willing to help. Clean clean clean! Grand kids love the water park. Magic quest is in need of some serious updating. Took two days to get the wand to work to complete the quest. As much as folks like to play this game and sink a ton of money to play it, it seems like the company can invest in new technology.

Too much walking. I suggested to one of the supervisors, Nick Rockicki, that golf carts inside would be a smashing idea. Alot of senior citizens bring their children and grandchildren to your wonderful establishment, it would be a Postive step in showing you care about their restrictions as well. Thanks for a great weekend.

We have never been to one of this brand and there are many things they do that are unique to their company it took a while to get used to it for example you enter the building on the second floor not the first floor

Our only issue was that we arrived at 7:30pm, got checked in by about 8pm and found that the water park and all of the food options were closed for the evening. Also, I was not aware that you have to pay for parking.

The experience is nice and the facilities are well-kept. We were truly disappointed with the cost of everything, though. ANYTHING extra is so expensive. Want to do the adventure? $25 (we have three kids, so $75 min). Want to go to the arcade? $50 to make it worth it. Want to mini bowl? $24 for 6, $4/additional player. Snacks and food on the property are also higher in cost, so the best bet is to go across the road to the grocery store or to any of the local restaurants. It would be smart for the property to just do big buffet breakfasts, especially with kids being the main guests. Throw some pancakes, eggs, and sausage in buffet tins and hot coffee with creamers and you've just hit made everyone's stay. The coffee in the room-- not good. How crazy that parents are going non-stop for 2 days and the coffee is watery?! We added two pre-filled packets to each brew and it still was not enough. Is the propety fun? Yes. Our kids had fun. The waterpark kept all kids happy. Is it convenient? Yes. It is right by everything the Traverse City area has to offer. Worth it once? Maybe, as long as you get the coupon/Groupon!

Our experience at Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, MI was the best! The beds were amazingly comfortable. The rooms with their vaulted ceilings and balcony made the rooms feel so large. We loved the sitting area in each room. Everything about the Great Wolf Lodge is an experience for kids and adults alike, from walking in the door being greeted with a wolf ear headband to the helpful agents at the check in desk. Our dining experiences were great & delicious. The indoor water park was a highlight for our family, both kids and adults. The "quests" our kids participated in were truly magical. Everyone came home with wands, capes and a touch of magic. An excellent time was had by all from ages 4 to 74. We'll be back!

Everything was perfect. Lots for the kids to do. Everything you need available on site. Staff was one of the friendliest I've seen in a while. My only two complaints are 1. Everything closes a bit too early for my family. Waterpark closes at 8, Everything else closes at 10. I get staffing is probably the reason but I wish one food place was open later. Having a high maintenance toddler it is hard for us to not have food options available when we need them. 2. I'm not sure if this issue was with Great Wolf or Expedia.com. I booked my stay through Expedia and was a bit nervous when I showed up and they couldn't find my paid for reservation. Eventually the girl at the desk said she assumes they got my name wrong somehow. I had proof of my reservation in my email but after driving a long distance its scary to hear them not be able to find your reservation.

The water area was nice and clean. The room carpet was very gross. Beds and bedding are very uncomfortable. Prices are very gauged. 4.99 for a bottle of ice tea. The bar and grill restaurant didn’t have a bar tender so they wouldn’t even serve the kids milkshakes or anything and the food was super gross and expensive. I mean really gross. If we ever go back we will definitely bring all our own drinks and eat at restaurants not at the hotel. And bring our own bedding. They seriously need to clean the carpets in the rooms. Not just vacuum actually clean them cause they are nasty.

Good place for the kids, water park was good. Food is mediocre and over priced. Going during the week is worth it at 150 a night. 550 a night on the weekend is just rediculous in my opinion, value does not match what you get. You could do a pretty amazing all inclusive tropical resort with a waterpart for that price, maybe a little.more and sometimes a little less. Anyway i wouldnt reccomend it unless its during the week and 3 days is the max i reccomend unless you are doing lots of other activities, all 3 kids were good after 2 days and ready to leave and do something else on day 3, 4 was too much

Had a wonderful time during our stay. Every staff member we encountered was super friendly and helpful! Nice dining choices although we did door dash once for a different option and to save a few $$. I let my kids talk mama bear into riding each water slide when I’d only planned on watching them enjoy-I’M SO GLAD I DID! Over all, Fantastic Trip!

My family and I stayed for two days. The hotel is dated, and we were not told upon check in that the cleaning service would not touch our room unless we requested. So we had no coffee or restocked towels. The Dunkin Donuts coffee shop inside is open whenever they have staff, and most days it closes at 1pm or sooner. The restuarnent had limited selection, and waitstaff was slow to take, bring orders even though the place wasn't crowded. We also ordered coffees with our dinner, which were never brought. We asked to have them taken off our bill and the waitress seemed annoyed with request. She never came to check on us once food was served, or to refill our waters. Food inside the water park was decent, but horribly overpriced as is everything else there. Arcade was good, all our games worked. Water park was okay; lots of unruly teens goofing off in lazy river and lifeguards do nothing. Three slides with super long lines. Bathrooms in the waterpark were gross. There is no pool that is deeper for adults. My kids were bored by second day. They are a cashless resort which is annoying. I was charged double for everything, and have been attempting to get the extra funds back. Its been a nightmare. And according to trip Advisor and Yelp, the constant over and double charging is a constant thing with a lot of people. We will not be going back and we've been going yearly since they opened.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! The breakfast is amazing, with many hot options, fresh fruit, bread, muffins, and more. The water park is wonderful, and there are plenty of additional activities for kids to enjoy besides the water park. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is well-maintained and clean. The only areas for improvement are the fitness center, as there are no weights, bars, or weight machines, and the parking fee, which is quite expensive. In my opinion, it doesn’t make sense to charge guests for parking when they are already paying to stay at the hotel.
