We have stayed here dozens of nights. Its our go-to in Red Wing. A lot of Americinns have really gone downhill over the oast decade, but these folks have really kept it a nice place to stay. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, the breakfast is great, the omelet maker is a favorite of ours and the pool area is has been really kept up and is nice.

The Hotel doesn't have a large enough parking lot. The man at the desk gave up his parking spot for me. He was great and went above and beyond for my wife and me.

This is a smoke free hotel, yet 3 times during our short stay there were guests smoking either in our hallway or their own room. The smell was very unpleasant, especially for a non smoker. When I inquired about the smoke smell and a few other items, the older woman at the front desk said she “could give us a fan and that tomorrow should be a nice day outside”. I don’t really care if tomorrow is nice outside for the people who smoke, they shouldn’t be smoking in the building just because it’s cold outside. The older woman working on Friday afternoon was not accommodating at all.

The overall stay was nice. The building and property were very clean. When we arrived, our room wasn’t ready even though I paid for the early check in. We only had to wait about 15 minutes and then the room was ready, so not to bad. The room was clean and very nice. When it came to bedtime, (10:00pm), there was a lot of people talking very loudly out in the main area making it hard to even hear the tv in our room. At 10:30 we had enough and tried to call the from desk with no answer. We tried several times with no luck. It wasn’t until my wife called the main line from her phone someone picked up. We told them about the people being loud and they were kinda rude saying the quiet time wasn’t until 11:00 pm but she would ask them the start early. After the call there was no more noise. We both slept soundly after that and enjoyed the nice breakfast the following morning.

Housekeeping was anemic. On a 2-night visit, no one checked to see if garbage needed emptying, to replenish instant coffee, etc. There was only one bar of soap that I guess I was supposed to transfer back and forth from the shower to the bathroom sink. Manager said it was hard to get help. I've heard that all before: IF YOU PAY THEM decently, they will come! And yes, I realize this will increase the room rates--but I want my long, lost bar of soap!

Rooms (or at least the one we stayed in) could use more sound-proofing. We could hear the TV in one of the adjacent rooms to us late at night (not sure how loud they were playing it - we stayed in a whirlpool suite, so they may have had the TV really loud to hear it over that in their room - we were more courteous and used our whirlpool earlier in the evening). Additionally, trains come through frequently, although I don't recall being awoken during the night due to one. Breakfast was do it yourself, which was fine and several options provided but not as nice as other places we've stayed with a rating of around 9 stars on this site.

We had a king studio for a great rate. When we walked in there was a jacuzzi in the room that was very welcome after a long drive. Great breakfast too. Best room all around that we had our whole trip.

The staff at this facility were rude to our families that stayed there for a hockey tournament. Kids were well mannered the main check in person named Marla was terrible and rude to paying customers.

After checking in and given the key to a room, we entered the room only to find a couple in the bed. They jumped up and said it was their room. We returned to the front desk and then we were told they couldn’t find us listed anywhere. After 10 minutes, they gave us another room. They never apologized for their outrageous mistakes.

My friends and I enjoyed our visit, because the rooms were clean and quiet, staff were helpful and friendly, and the pool was nice. The only problem I had was a 7 am text from the hotel replying to my text sent to them the day before about an issue with a light switch. I didn’t want to wake up early.

Went down in morning about 7:30 for coffee, 4 pots all cold left over from previous night, half breakfast items missing, girl working was outside on her phone when she came in I asked for fresh coffee. 20 minutes later she brings out 2, one is Luke warm other is fresh and hot, she left the other 2 cold ones and did not replace. She was not dressed professionally and did not really seem to care about anything, just putting in her time.

We liked how it was clean and quiet place to stay. And it was well located between our destination and downtown for tourist stuff. Only draw back is it’s located between two other hotels with tight parking and obstructed views of busses from another hotel.

Pleasant stay in a cute suburban town. I'm sure there were a lot of people checked in based on the full parking lot each morning, but it was dead quiet every night! Breakfast was a good mix of cold and hot foods - really unique to have a DIY omelet station. Staff was very polite.

No one was at the desk until 9:00 in the morning. No regular coffee in the room, only decaf! Pool and whirlpool were great! Room was great! Breakfast was nice! Eggs, cereal, yogurt, different breads, fruit, milk, orange juice, but weak coffee.
