Travelodge by Wyndham Red Wing

There were flies all over in our room, specially in the bathroom in which the toilet barley flushed. Shower was disgusting and the lamp shades were stained. Not very clean and nor does it disclose there is a state correctional facility next to the location of the rooms. Pool and hot tub were "under construction" and this was not disclosed either on their website.

The property is right next to a prison. The buildings are old, from at least the early 70's, it's an old motel. The paint on the doors and buildings is faded, doesn't match or is cracked and pealing. There are tools and constructions equipment laying on the driveway.

Definitely not what i saw on the website. And i paid $135 for only 1 night. The tub which was not shown felt like you were on a incline. We were told we were going to have a continental breakfast from 6 to 10 and it was wrapped honey buns you could buy at a gas station or walmart. And some coffee. And the office wasnt open till 7 am. You wernt allowed to use the pool. They said it was under construction. It basically served its purpose to sleep. I'm pretty sure i will never stay there ever again. It was one ouside ice chest away of the bates motel. This was not a hotel this was a bad joke. I thought i was being punked.

There wasn’t one thing I liked about this place. The internet was garbage couldn’t hold a steady connection, the bathtub was disgusting couldn’t put my bare feet in there and wouldn’t. The toilet seat didn’t even fit the toilet, there was no drain in the bathroom sink. Holes in the bedding, the one thing I was looking forward to at this place was the indoor pool and shocker when that isn’t working either the only good thing about the stay was the air conditioning was nice and cool when it was extremely hot outside. The coffee was disgusting and they have expired creamer so that was lovely didn’t have any sugar.

Very dated and old facility. Smelled like pot outside our room. Found a syringe in the parking lot. Would not stay there again. Expected much better for $135/nt in RedWing. Didn’t even provide cups or soap.

Didn't even want to stay there, run down, looked unsafe, people living month to month there. A pool is pictured on expedia...have no idea where that would have been, highly doubt there is a pool......ad should be removed from internet. Highly decieving. We stayed some place else.

Literally just a place to crash for the night. The manager was friendly enough, but the lobby reeks of mold, and my toilet wouldn't flush. The parking lot spaces were also torn to shreds. Not great. Spend the extra money and stay at the St. James if you're in the area - it is worth it

The hotel was filthy, unkept, unsafe,damp, no hot water. Icky, Hotels.com and other search services, as well as Whydam, should not want to be affiliated with this property. It should be demolished. Really bad.

Clogged sink, place was gross and dirty, woke up with a bed bug rash the next day

So we were coming in from out of town and rented a room at the Travelodge by Wyndham as the online pics looked great ,hence why we chose this location..it seemed really nice for price/location was close in proximity to where we had plans/family ...plus we are members of Wyndham and have always had good experiences until now. Well upon arriving at the location, the pictures were deceiving., the hotel looked run down and sketchy looking , breakfast area was a tiny corner of the front office/check in area which also looked like it needed a good cleaning(nothing as it showed in the pics) However we decided we would go ahead and check in regardless as it had been a long trip. So we got the room key and go to check it out only to find that the bathroom had black mold in several areas we immediately went up front to the office and told the manager/worker about the black mold and he tried offering a different room. Seeing as how my wife is highly allergic to mold we declined and demanded a refund as we were not chancing being put in another room with mold . He was reluctant to refund til we brought up the board of health. We wanted to advise others about the black mold as it is a health hazard and needs to be addressed .

The room was disgusting! Upon entry it had a putrid smell. The beds must have plastic mattress covers as they made crinkling noises with every move-but sheets appeared clean. The bathroom is a nightmare! Toliet is extremely low, mold everywhere, the tub had been repainted and was peeling and the shower head looked to have been recently replaced but drywall was still bare. Not comfortable even trying to shower. No hot water at the sink. Looked as if a baseboard heater was removed below but parts were still hanging on the wall. When you walk across the room the dresser creaked and doors opened. Lampshades were dingy, hanging crooked and looked as if a knife had sliced through it. Dust and dirt in windows. The entry door itself was paper thin and looked as if someone tried entering it without the keycard, not to mention only 1 small latch for security.

Room dirty, damaged doors, brown water in toilet and running from faucet. Curtain was hanging off hooks and didn't completely cover the window. One bed had bugs on the sheet. Doors in very poor condition, need to be replaced. Surprised this property would pass health inspection.

The room was not cleaned from the previous occupancy, the bed was unmade the towels had all been used. Stayed 3nites, no choice, slept in my clothes on the bed not in it. Most horrific hotel on earth.

Our room was terrible! The bathroom was filthy as well as the floors and microwave. The bedspread was on the bed sideways, and the blanket was so old it had balls of fuzz all over it and the sheets were either very old and thin or just not changed! The furniture was disgusting! We had two upholstered chairs and they both had huge gross stains on them! We did not stay, we went into the unkept parking lot and found a room somewhere else! Nothing was done by the owner to make anything better for us or refund our stay. I would not recommend this place to anyone! it is not even right to post pictures on a website to lure people in and then find out it's a dump when you get there!

This was NOT at all as described by Expedia. Safety lock fell off, pubic hairs all over, duct tape on shower curtain. Not clean at all. I doubt if I will ever use Expedia again.

We booked through Hotels.com and I had no idea they would represent such a filthy dirty bug infested place. It was so bad we opened the door and just shut it and left for home instead of staying. Bed was sunk in the middle and you could see the pillows had been used. There was no less than 5 flies in the room along with a wasp and numerous box elder bugs. I have never seen a room and a motel in such deplorable shape. I will also be contacting Travelodge as I am sure they could have no idea what a dump shares their logo. Hotels.com also shares some responsibility as the have pictures that do not represent the condition of that hell hole. Do not even think of staying here!! Filthy from top to bottom!!!!

Okay, but curtains didn’t block the light

The man who did my check in was very friendly. The room was kind of dark, especially in the bathroom and the fan did not work properly so everything was wet from the humidity. Also, could not regulate the water temperature properly. I love Red Wing but, I did not realize the hotel was next to the prision or I would not have booked here. Just me being paranoid.

Neighbors air conditioner was so loud could hear it in our room. If could hsve canceled room we would have and went somewhere else. Glad it was only one night

Paid $165 for a room that should have been $50. Staff was great, but rooms were very old and bathroom needs to be redone. I think room was clean but hard to say, very dark. One of those rooms were even when clean still looks dirty. Happy they had coffee. 😊

The place was clean, but the sink water was dirty, and didn't work that well. The door was able to be opened by the wind.

We checked in to get keys and given a room that was already booked so needed to wait for another room to be finished cleaned. Didn’t feel safe with the quality of the door to the outside.

This property is run down and dirty. Upon checking in we found dirty towels, stained sheets and general uncleanness (switchplates dirty and sticky, dust caked to the bathroom vent, paint peeling, no hair dryer in the room, etc. There was a very popular event in town this night, so every hotel room in the city was booked. It took us a couple of hours to find a different accommodation and then we checked out. We could not stay here it was so bad. When we talked to the managment, they refused to issue any refund saying we had used the room for too long (while we searched for something else) and that we had gotten a good deal on Expedia so no refund because the rate was so low. Save yourself the headache and do not book here. Otherwise, unfold your towels and check your sheets immediately upon check in. We even had Expedia's customer service contact the hotel directly and still they refused a refund. Very frustrating and not worth the hassle.

The people were nice. But room needs much improvement. Old, cracked walls unsafe latch on door. I actually had paid for it but when my sister and I got there we left and went to different motel. Didn’t feel comfortable. Next to Correctional Facility. Just didn’t feel good. Pictures look much different on line. Lost nights charge but had to go elsewhere. Cant believe this is backed by Windham. I thought better than that. Not good for their image.

Easy access to highway. Clean, but very run down. Remolding needed, as in renew, not fix which has been done along the way. Musty smells, neighboring occupant approached us as we arrived to compare olfactory perceptions, “yes!” $20 cheaper than competitors, though.

Was very outdated and never fixed up. Window was broken and couldn't be locked. Walls need to be clean, Toothpaste on bathroom wall behind door. Toilet was not very clean. Only honey buns and coffee for breakfast. Only offered milk, water, cold cereal and coffee for breakfast and the milk and water machine was out of order. No juice or fruit, Very bad breakfast for Wyndham property. Parking lot is in need for a makeover also.

There were deep scratches on the wall, looks there was some type of animal trying to get out. The breakfast was absolutely lame, not sure what the purpose was. The shower creeped when you push on it, it needs a major overhaul.

Very run down. The bathroom surfaces were cleaned but years of residue and scale buildup were in the sink and toilet. It was clean- ish overall. It's seen its better days. The breakfast was not in a space conducive to eating.

It’s a motel. Such a dump. Drunk guy in office and wandering the parking lot with bottle of vodka. Indoor pool nonexistent. Holes in curtains, paint peeling off in big chunks in bathtub, only amenity was half empty bottle of shampoo. One tiny coffee pod. No clean towels on second day. No new paper cups or fresh roll of toilet paper. Continental breakfast consisted of cereal and old danish. All around disgusting. See pictures.

This wasn't old motel that was made in to a Days Inn. He wasn't a very good job. There was no air conditioning turned on, the TV didn't work, and all there was for breakfast was a honey bun. However the staff was friendly and accommodating.

This hotel was FILTHY. Plus, there were no smoke alarms. I can not believe that Whydham would put their name on such a place. The ‘free’ breakfast was stale cereal in a multiuse dispenser and frozen vending machine coffee cakes. I of course contacted Whydham, by phone and email, and have received no response.
