Hotel was very nice, which it should be it was fairly new. Kids wanted to swim but pool heater wasn't working so the water was cold. Our room we discovered dirty sheets and dirty pillow covers. Look like a mixture of dirt and blood. The lady was wondering that night so super helpful, moved us to a different room. Her name i believe was Renea. If it wasn't for her we would of left.

Brittany the gal that checked us in was super!! She was kind and accommodating. Also, this morning the gal that checked us out with super as well, I didn’t catch her name. The breakfast was great. Several options. The patio to sit out on was really nice. Thanks for a great girls night out for the Carrie Underwood concert. Highly recommended!!

Pros: Property is relatively new and extremely well-maintained. An excellent location. Breakfast was decent and there were several hot selections. Breakfast room was very clean and items were frequently replenished. Our room was more spacious than most; coffee, tea options in room and lobby. Nice bedding Cons: WiFi was available on our phones but we were unable to sign in on our computers for the duration of our stay. Tap water the morning of our departure was mysteriously milky in appearance. Lobby seemed to rotate staff from job to job so desk was often unmanned. The place was clean but the lady checking us in wasn't very friendly. The night clerk was great. You would think for that kind of money the breakfast would be good. Wasn't. The parking lot was ice covered. The pet fee was over $80 whick is crazy high.

Our stay was great. The only thing I noticed was the strong smell of marijuana in the hallway upon arrival - it was gone the next morning and two cosmetic issue-a white patch on the wall by the sofa and a piece of laminate flooring that was loose by the door to the hallway. The breakfast was amazing and the pool was clean with awesome water temperature. We had a great stay.

Perfect place to stay with my younger kids (10 and 8). They loved the pool! The pool area was very clean and a nice size for them to swim. The warm breakfast options and coffee were delicious in the morning. Breakfast was busy but the hotel staff did a great job replenishing the food as it was running out. The location was nice since it was walkable to a few stores, the pottery place and also a mexican restaurant. The rooms were nice and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfy! We all slept great. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly. I would go back if we stay in Red Wing again.

I've stayed at multiple Holiday Inn Expresses over the last several months. This experience did not measure up to my other experiences. Thankfully, it was just a one-night stay. The check-in process was clunky. The floor in our room had debris on it, like it hadn't been vacuumed from the previous customer. The bath towels stunk. The body wash container in the shower was broken. The elevator banks were filthy. There was a dog down the hall barking. Our upstairs "neighbors" seemed to be up all night long. We could clearly hear them walking about for extended amounts of time through the night/early morning hours.

The hotel was fine but I think the price was high for the quality. Here are a few examples: - Looks like they hired a someone who usually designs prisons to design their hotel - everything gray and very bland. Weird single seat lounge chair in the room. - Nice solid core bathroom door that would have been great if it actually closed but to open or close it, was really noisy so if you use the bathroom at night, either leave it open or wake everyone in the room. - Carbon monoxide detector is probably a nice edition but it had a bright green light that made the room super bright and it was under the desk so there was no easy way to cover it. All in all, the room was fine but you could stay at a much nicer place for the same cost.

Nobody was ever at the front desk and none of the staff wore a uniform or name tags even, so it was difficult to know who to ask for help. Also, the staff would smoke out in front of the front door where all guests could see them.

I liked the stay, but i booked with Expedia and when i got there they asked for a credit card. I understand that they need something, but they charged me $236.31 on top of the $250 i paid Expedia. Now a week and a half later and 4 different conversations with Expedia, i have to dispute the charges with my bank...never again will i stay here. $500 for one night? They called them twice and they are not giving me the money back...i thought i could have a relaxing night, nope now i have more work to do...this is so ridiculous

The maintenance employee knocked on my door 3 different times in a 4 hour time span - once at 8:30 am - asking to complete a room check, again at 10:30 am. At 10:30 am he came in and walked around my room awkwardly completing a checklist and checking my trash. At 11:20 am he came back and knocked on the door - and asked me if I was checking out, as if I wasn’t supposed to be in the room. I told him I arranged for late checkout at noon. He said oh and awkwardly walked away. For sure the least respectful and considerate, yet most intrusive employee I’ve ever encountered at a Holiday Inn

Staff was so friendly, breakfast was convenient and had just enough variety for everyone on our trip. We ordered dinner from a bar and grill down the road and they delivered straight to our room. We spent several days walking through downtown shops, going on trail walks, and enjoying the area. A lot to do, and the staff had suggestions for places fo eat and visit if we ran out of ideas.
