Was a comfortable stay, no elevator if u have mobility issues

AC could not be adjusted. Security latch on door was broken. Washcloth bar in tub fell out. Morning clerk, when told of these, insisted I could not be accurate and demanded I take him to the room so he could show me the right way to do things. (I refused). Oh. each and every room is accessible only by stairs. No level-in rooms and no elevator. On the other hand the room was cheap and clean

We always stay here when we come to Winona! It’s clean, easy to get to, and all of the amenities we need. Blow dryers in the room—check! Fridge - check. Microwave- check. USB outlets—check! Love this place!

Perfect for a quick trip to visit colleges in the area. Only downfall was there was not a fitness center as indicated in the property details.

Could use more parking spots but otherwise outside and inside was very clean. We could hear the people above us walking around and it sounded loud at times but otherwise it was quiet. The beds are very comfortable!

I liked that they had waffles for breakfast. Unfortunately the line for the 2.5 minutes per waffle took so long I didn’t get to eat with my husband. Not a lot of choices. Toast or hard boiled eggs or cereal or a waffle. Non dairy milk would have been nice as well as more creamer options. The room was visibly dirty, it’s an older hotel and it used to be smoking because you can smell it. There’s no elevator or any other amenities. The beds were dirty one so much so that I wouldn’t sleep in it. The room smells like a mixture of old water cigarette and grossness. The bathroom was also dirty and the rude phone call from someone else at the hotel at 7:30 am got laughed off by the front desk staff.

Everything was what I expected. They did not have an elevator and I had a heavy suitcase.

Bed hard and dirty, room smelled of smoke, hallways smelled. Requested a refund and was denied despite the poor conditions of the hotel, we ended up leaving anyway. Would be fine for a quick overnight stop to sleep for a few hours but was not comfortable or clean enough to relax and enjoy your stay.

This Super 8 was clean & the employees were very nice. I stayed 2 nights and the key worked perfectly. It was very quiet and very comfortable.

I stayed in room 104. The lights by bed didn’t turn on. Had to move bed, filthy under bed. Only 1 plug in outlet worked and then after awhile, would come unplugged. There was a power strip that the lights apparently needed to be plugged into. Room had smell to it, linens on bed stained. Bedside table had dried drink marks on it so hadn’t been cleaned. Won’t return to property. Only interaction with staff was check in. Left before 7 am and did express check out, dropped key in box.

Although the photos show an updated look, this hotel is in dire need of a facelift. There is a musty smell as soon as you enter the building which only intensified in the room. Cleanliness in the bathroom was poor: the toilet was dirty, the shower was dirty, and there were some type of bugs in the sink and toilet as well. The carpet had visible debris. Overall, it wasn't clean and I didn't feel comfortable walking around in bare feet at all. The only positive was that the price was low for a Saturday night. Our card was charged before we checked in which was something that hasn't happened before resulting in two charges when there were two separate parties, thus having to wait for credit back to my card.

Staff were super polite and courteous, and the room was wonderfully clean and comfortable. Great location to stop for our venture of driving along the river up to Mpls from Madison.

The heater was sooo loud it woke me up every time it kicked on. The tv had streaks in it and the coloring was terrible.

Proprietors were wonderful. Super clean. Convenient location location. Those are the good things. Cramed room. No outlets for any devices. One small chair. A desk and chair that couldn't be used in tbe space. 3 wall lights. One tiny soap bar. Thin small.towels. only 2 towels for two people. Way overpriced.

Our room was recently remodeled. New beds, carpet and more. A very pleasant surprise!

couldn't walk around the room with bare feet--the floor was gritty dirty. The light system was wired badly--the room had the main entrance light on if any other light would function. Lack of electrical outlets. Room was freezing when we came in--the wall heater was off in winter time. Took 3 hours for the room to warm up a bit and the heater was extremely noisy. Had a bathtub, but unable to stop the drain. Breakfast offering was terrible.

This place really needs some updating. Our room and the hall way smelled of smoke. We didn’t use the shower but there was hair in the tub. The beds were not very comfortable either. The people working there were nice - that was the only good thing.

Strange smell throughout, front desk person couldn’t initially find my reservation, was kept awake by the noise of the person(people) walking above my room- Floor/ceiling kept squeaking/thudding, my daughter found an old mascara stain on the pillow case.

I checked in at 12 pm 9/6/25 was supposed to stay till 9/8/25. I took a shower because the room looked clean and fine. After my shower I left to go out into the city with friends, and we get back to the hotel and pull down sheets so we can lay, and there were stains on the sheets, a bug was on the mattress under the sheets, so at 3:00pm we go to front desk to check out, requesting a refund as we were only there for an hour. The man at the front desk was very rude, rolling his eyes as I was explaining how nasty the room was and that we don’t feel comfortable staying. He then said to call Expedia to get a refund. We called sat on the phone for 10 minutes, Expedia called the hotel to speak to the manager, and the manager refused to give any type of refund. After the call we try Expedia we called the hotel, spoke to the man at the front desk again, he said the “room was clean” and that they will not be issuing a refund. We then had the manager on the phone, who was EXTREMELY rude, yelling at us over the phone saying we don’t get a refund because I took a shower. Making the room “used”. I said charge me for today that’s fine I want a refund for Sunday night as I am not going to be in the hotel. He said that is not how it works due to me taking a shower. He then got a very nasty tone on the phone, and I had tried explaining again that I don’t want a full refund just charge me for tonight and refund the rest. Very very unprofessional. I do NOT recommend staying here unless you want

Absolutely awful service, dirty room upon arrival, no clean linens on our second day, the service was absolutely awful. Lady at the front desk was rude as can be and shouldn’t be working there.

Check-in no one at desk, had to pick up a phone to call, man wasn't very nice, mumbled something and hung up. I minute later a woman came out, she was nice. Room condition wasn't the best. Dirt in drawers, drains in sink and tub wouldn't drain very good. Also the heater in room kept coming on and off every couple minutes, making it hard to fall asleep. We finally had to turn it off, which isn't pleasant in the winter. Room was cheap, but could of been better care with cleaning. Probably wouldn't go again there.

Great value for the price! They were very helpful with my late check-in. Clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay there next time I'm in Winona.

The person checking out at the desk was very difficult to deal with. Did not to provide a receipt. She was the exception. Everyone else was very accommodating.

I originally booked this hotel for 5 nights. When I got into my room I immediately noticed stains on the bed that looked suspiciously like mold, dirt, stains, and the window was eye level with the parking lot so anyone could look in. I went to the front desk to explain the state of the room and was told I could choose another room if they looked good, but would not be getting any kind of refund if I chose another room. When I went to look at the other rooms I noticed the same things, but they still didn’t look as bad. It’s worth noting that I attempted to look at the sheets as that was my main concern and was told I was worrying about “small things” and to please not touch anything, so I didn’t get to look. I stayed there for one night and ended up leaving the next day after I found a bug in my purse that I had put on one of the beds. I turned in my key, explained I was leaving early, and again asked for any kind of refund, and was told no. Later I contacted Expedia and the hotel through Expedia asking for a refund. Expedia was very kind and contacted the hotel. I then received a message from the manager calling me a liar and saying he would’ve given me a refund. He claimed I was rude to staff when he was the only staff I interacted with. Due to this I ended up filing a complaint with Wyndham. After filing that complaint, I got a voicemail from the manager threatening me and calling me rude, and the next morning received an email from him essentially saying the same thing.

The staff was so kind and helpful. The room was extremely comfortable. It was very quiet. The furniture wasn't new, but who cares, it was a good value and it was very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and make sure I had everything I needed.

A great place to stay near Winona’s east lake and the best place to hike in the city, sugar loaf. After a long day of adventures outside the shower felt amazing and I fell asleep almost immediately waking up to a wonderful breakfast.

The constant noise at night: ice machine, washer/dryer, holes on floor in hallway, garbage cans full in breakfast area, unsafe feeling because all outside doors were not locked (security lock was tapped), bathroom ceiling vent flooded bathroom from floor above, lots of noise from other guests.

Staff-every single one-was pleasant, polite and helpful. Great job! The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bedding clean. The bathroom was a point for improvement. It was generally clean, but the “corners” could use work. The counter, floor, etc. corners weren’t clean. The bathroom mirror could use replacement. The toilet seat was loose. The shower curtain was clean, but the towels were worn to the point of no absorbency and some were stained. My only other comment was that the vending machines, which only took cash, had only non-diet drinks. Diet Coke is a top seller, but there was none. And lots of us rarely have cash anymore. I would stay here again. p.s. The breakfast was lovely and the area clean; the OJ was watery.

The staff that checked us in was very nice. We like the hotel location being close to the park where we attended an outdoor concert and our room has nice view. Carpets throughout the hotel are new and clean. However, the toilet bowl in our two Queen bed room has this awful, ugly, unsightly dark ring inside! Truly incredible. Wondering how long it has been there! The bed linen in one of the beds has some grey stain marks on it as if it hasn’t been washed or changed. Since it was very late in the night when we discovered it, we didn’t bother to notify the management. Breakfast was the worst we ever had with any hotels that we had stayed. There were only two bagels and several slices of toast left and they never got refilled after us. There were the typical cereals but no eggs or any hot items at all. We didn’t see any staff at the front desk. Overall, we were very disappointed and felt sad how this hotel had deteriorated so much since our last visit many years ago.

I was pleased with this establishment. Check in was fast, the free breakfast was fine, and the room met my needs. I slept well. $100 well spent.

It is a good place to stay for a low price. Room was clean. Definitely not a lot of amenities, but the basics are covered. Breakfast didn't offer a lot of options but it was adequate.

It was clean but very old looks like they are updating rooms but all the old stuff is in the hallways just sitting there....breakfast is lacking would be nice to have warm breakfast options like eggs and a protien. They really only offer waffles and muffins and ceral
