When we checked in on 10/8, there was no employee. My daughter and I were calling for someone. Finally, after a few minutes an employee came out. Checked us in. We walked to our room and we noticed the beds were VERY high. I'm 5'7" and my daughter is 5'2" and we were both having problems getting on the beds. Beds were very uncomfortable. There were webs in the corner of the ceiling. The same day we left to check out Winona, and took the hang card off to let the staff know to clean the room. The room not touched when we returned, the staff saw us leave the room. Around 10/9, my daughter said she smelled smoke around 127, 129, 130 someone was smoking in their room and it was seeping under the door. This is supposed to be a smoke-free hotel. My daughter went to find the employee but he was nowhere. I thought there should be an employee at the front at all times no matter if there are people checking in or not. My daughter and I have stayed at a LOT of hotels and have seen employees at the front desk especially if there is something the patrons need. The parking lot needs to be repaved. Potholes everywhere. I walk with a walker and had to walk around a lot of the potholes.

The room was just large enough for our overnight stay. There was a problem with the TV but management fixed it right away. Fixtures (chair, cupboard) are old but fully functional. Everything was clean. There is no elevator.

Not as described. No cafe on site, No fitness center, "breakfast" consists of coffee, cold cereal and a few cartons of yogurt. Rented a King-sized "non-smoking" room that smelled of smoke and did not have either the rainfall showerhead or in-room coffee. Very basic and overpriced.

Clean and quiet. Staff was great. There is no elevator but, to be fair, we didn't ask for a handicapped room. They are in the process of upgrading the rooms. We were in town for an event and didn't need amenities so this hotel was perfect for us.

Total dump, carpet hadn’t been vacumed forever, the room was the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in, like sleeping in a closet. Hallways smelled and no AC outside of the room. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I woke up to a bug crawling on the bed. My husband had already complained that the bed felt itchy during the night. We only stayed here because of a snowstorm and had no other choice. When we reported this at checkout, the front desk staff was rude and dismissive and even claimed the bug “came from a guest,” instead of taking responsibility. She did not apologize and offered only a $10 credit, no refund, no concern. Hotels.com later gave a $25 credit, but that does not make up for the experience. Between the cleanliness issue and the poor, dishonest response, this hotel is not worth it. Take your money and go elsewhere.

We booked the room as we had been traveling all day. We arrived, as you came into the check in area there was an odor. We were so tired we checked in, dragged our bags up to the room. The hallway too smelled. We went to our room and there was an odor. I checked the mattress and there were little black specks on the corners of the mattress. We then turned on the heat and the smell coming from there was overwhelming. So bad. We dragged our bags down the stairs again and left. The young man that checked us in understood....and we left. I would really appreciate a refund as this was awful.

Room smelled like dirty socks and the hallway smelled of marijuana. The shower in one room had some hair in the shower that was not one of our people’s hair color. When we checked in we waited over 10 minutes to be able to check in. There were no other customers in line, and the manager on duty was less than 10 feet away in his office. Also, the shower in room 124 had floor damage and it felt as if one of us was going to go right through the floor. Also, we brought a pet that was well behaved and I cleaned up after him every time he was outside for a bathroom break. I wish others would do the same. There were so many piles of dog feces on the grassy area’s that it was difficult to even walk him or take him outside for bathroom breaks.

The check in process was fine but the room had an odd smell. One fly was buzzing around. Unfortunately, the DirectTv in the room cut out every 23 seconds so it was very frustrating trying to watch anything. I called the front desk because the error message on the TV said that is what to do if the problem persists- he just told me that it was a technical issue and it was never resolved. Overall, for the cost, we were disappointed.

The hotel itself seemed nice, but our room was way too warm, and when we tried to lower the temp with the AC. It would run for a few minutes and shut off. There was no way to adjust the heat and our room stayed at around 73 degrees. We prefer to sleep in a room at 65 degrees. They boast about being eco-friendly, but then they keep the heat too high. What was also odd was outside of our rooms, the temperature was a lot cooler, so maybe it was just the room we were given that had heating issues?

This is an older hotel with new carpet, bedding, and finishes. The hallways look old and the bathtub/shower area was definitely in need of a refresh. The caulking was old and we had trouble getting water to come out for the shower. The beds were clean and comfortable. The property is very clean. The breakfast was ok: waffles were excellent. Weird egg patty/disks were almost edible. There was no coffee pot in our room but the front desk scrounged one up along with two decaf coffee packets. The people were very friendly and welcoming.

Just kept going on and on about it. Finally printed my receipt after I persisted that I needed it. Also - LOTS of cigarette butts on the ground near one of the entrances, even though there was an ash tray right there. The fruit in the breakfast area looked old and wrinkled, very limited choices of food. The WiFi was so slow, I had to use my phone as a hot spot. The room itself was very clean - at least there's that.

I thought for $144/night, it would be in better shape. First, the room was extremely small, including the bathroom. They're was no external area where two people could get ready at the same time. Second, the toilet wouldn't flush. It took 3, sometimes 4 times to flush thoroughly. Third, the shower curtain rod was installed improperly and wouldn't stay closed. This was easily a $90 room. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

I stayed there two nights overall, in two different rooms. The first seemed really small to me. I kept bumping into things. I felt like Gandalf in Bilbo's house, where everything was small. The next night, I paid a bit more for a larger room with two beds. That one did not feel claustrophobic to me.

I have stayed here twice now visiting my college student. Hotel is convenient to Winona, just on the outskirts of town. The heat did not work in our original room booked and we were upgraded immediately, the front desk staff and housekeeping are very friendly and attentive. You cannot beat it for the price.

When we arrived after 11pm with two sleeping kids, we couldn't check in due to the staff member not having their phone to log onto the system. He couldn't give us a room or do anything to help. He didn't have any phone numbers of the managers so he resorted to emailing them. He was apologetic but we couldn't wait to see if a response came through email as the kids were now awake and it was the middle of the night. I had even called the hotel at 9:30pm to confirm we were coming in late. We had to get another hotel in Winona. We lost a lot of sleep trying to wind the kids back down. Thankfully Hotels.com helped us sort out a new reservation the next day. What a mess.

Adrian, the concierge lied about the reservation. When we arrived there was no such reservation. Conner and Cole at the desk went out of their way to find us a room , moved in our luggage, and even got us a fan for our comfort. We had reserved a king bed, but ended up with two queens for over $20 more than the quoted price. I blame the concierge for lying, the staff and facilities were excellent.

I don't believe this was an issue with the property itself. There was some issue between Expedia and the hotel that ended up creating a 30 minute check in process. The gentleman worked through the issue and eventually we were able to get our room.

When we got there and checked in, we were given the wrong room. We requested 2 queen beds but received a one queen bed suite. Staff was very friendly and accommodating though. They were sold out, so they couldn't change our room but offered to bring in a cot. There was a large couch and love seat so we were able to make it work. The facility itself was old and and could use a few updates, but not terrible. Our key card stopped working twice so we had to get more. My main issue with it though was that the bathroom was not very clean. There were little black curly hairs all over the bathroom and on one of the towels. The shower was plugged, so you stood in ankle deep water. If your looking for a place to stay but not spending much time in your room this is an ok choice.

You get what you pay for at this hotel. It’s pretty comparable to a Motel 6 or a Super 8. On a positive note, the location is good. There’s a Pizza Ranch and a gas station next door.

This was the poor cousin of the Wyndham just a few blocks up the road near the interstate. Old building, mildew in the carpet on first floor (we requested a second floor room that was better), but had issues with the toilet not flushing well, and the fan in the bathroom not working properly. The breakfast offerings were poor, but since hardly anyone was staying there, it made sense not to have to much food to have to go out of date. We ate breakfast at a nice coffee shop in Winona.

The room was great. My only complaint was that the breakfast was not well maintained. They ran out of forks and muffins and did not refill in a timely manner. Also, the sausage links were not hot.
