Kim at check in was fast,courteous,helpful and great. The room was big,clean,comfy and relaxing. The breakfast consists of sausage,biscuits,gravy,eggs ,waffles,bread and some prepackage sweets. Honestly ,it wasn't great,but it was free The problem is,on the backside of the hotel,there are tents put up where people are sitting and eating all times of the night. I have no problem with this,but while we were there,the police were called because of a disturbance with them. The police were here for a very long time,and made it hard to get into our parking spot . I read in another review they are the people working on the roads eating out now fthe tents and staying at the hotel.They are loud,and some of them whistle and tell at every woman that walks by. Early of the morning,around 5-5:30 the trucks cranking up and the lights shining in the rooms are very aggravating. If this bothers you,ask to be put in the front of the hotel away from the noise. We'll ask for that next time .

Needs maintenance. Access is only from the "back road", not the main road on the other side of the parking lot. Parking lot is small so only one way traffic. Had to go back to the lobby to get a key card that worked.

The employees were great but the room was a little bit wear down. The bed covers were a little bit ripped in different places but the mattress was comfortable. Refrigerator was noisy and froze everything up. The hair dryer was missing and the ice machine was broken and the vending machines were out of stock on almost everything. But everything else was great.

A typical motel. Room was clean. Beds a bit too soft, but comfortable enough for a couple good nights sleep. They allow pets (limited number of rooms) and was the primary reason for choosing this location. Breakfast was surprisingly good (sausage, eggs, pancakes, delicious and thick sausage gravy) with juices, coffee and danishes. No problems or issues to report with possible exception of: My brother locked himself out first thing. (LOL) He had his key re-programmed then my key wouldn't work. Seems they should be able to program all for the same room, but minor inconvenience.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean, but the rooms were very old, for example the sink faucet was not attached to the vanity. The motel hosts a lot of permanent residents. There was a large Hispanic population that seemed to live at the motel full time because they had permanent tents and grills in the parking lot. We did not leave our room after dark for safety reasons. I would stay at the Hampton Inn next door if I had to stay in the Murphy, NC area again.

Even though this is an older hotel, the rooms were very clean. Nice fresh sheets and towels and the bathroom was spotless, no issues at all! We will be back to the area and only stay here.

Room appeared clean but had a bad smell. at first it was covered up with a room fragrance by housekeeping but that wore off and it was obvious this was done to cover up a bad smell in the carpet. The carpets are badly in need of cleaning or replacement. Also, the parking lot was full of trucks and lots of Hispanic workers staying there. They were very loud and noisy and the next morning they filled up the breakfast tables and there was no food left.

We stayed in a pet friendly room (which the expectation is that it probably won't be as clean as a regular room) With that being said, our room smelled horribly like cat urine. The tables were bowed out and uneven. The shower was re-done so that was nice. You could tell they were attempting to improve, but not quite there.

Property is a converted motel, and infrastructure and facilities are old and unpretentious. Linens and towels are old, though clean. Beds and matresses were good. Shower and bath were definitely showing their age, needing some caulk and paint. Some smell of disinfectant from the carpet. AC worked well! We were OK with it and stayed 3 nights. A reasonable stay for a fair price.

Compared to other 30 plus Best Westerns I stayed at previously I have to say I liked this one the least but first off I will start with the positives. My wife and I liked the fact that it was quiet, had fast food in walking distance and breakfast in the morning. My negatives were that this property is outdated i.e. old toilet tub fixtures..toilet did not work properly, dirty carpet. there were some stains on sheets on one of the beds. Upon entering room the was a stale smoke odor when this suppose be a non smoking room and also my wife and I had to deal with marijuana smoke coming thru vents in our room thru out both nights we stayed and was so uncomfortable.(My wife has asthma but the way).The sheets made our skin very itchy. Housekeeping also skipped our daily room cleaning and when I called front desk I was advised by a lady they let housekeeping go early for Christmas Eve which is a poor excuse for performing hospitality duties and previous Best Westerns I have stayed on holidays still performed their duties so that was not excuse especially that's a part of the service what I am paying the hotel for and therefore expect to receive it and all you get is sorry and no compensation for it. So overall no we didn't enjoy our stay.

Love the Hotel and perfect Location to Casino , restaurants and shopping. The front Desk Clerk Barbara went above and beyond to assist and amazing person Best Western really should be proud she represents them.

The hotel itself was fine. No frills. Simple lodging. The rooms were clean and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was free. It wasn't the best breakfast around, but it filled an empty spot. Only stayed one night but the office was very efficient and courteous and at the end when we checked out, we left our tablet which cost over $1000. They were very honest and called us. fortunately, I had someone in the area to pick it up for me because I was already five hours away Would definitely recommend this clean, honest hotel to anyone in the future, and will definitely stay again

Kim at check in was fast,courteous,helpful and great. The room was big,clean,comfy and relaxing. The breakfast consists of sausage,biscuits,gravy,eggs ,waffles,bread and some prepackage sweets. Honestly ,it wasn't great,but it was free The problem is,on the backside of the hotel,there are tents put up where people are sitting and eating all times of the night. I have no problem with this,but while we were there,the police were called because of a disturbance with them. The police were here for a very long time,and made it hard to get into our parking spot . I read in another review they are the people working on the roads eating out now fthe tents and staying at the hotel.They are loud,and some of them whistle and tell at every woman that walks by. Early of the morning,around 5-5:30 the trucks cranking up and the lights shining in the rooms are very aggravating. If this bothers you,ask to be put in the front of the hotel away from the noise. We'll ask for that next time .

The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean, but the rooms were very old, for example the sink faucet was not attached to the vanity. The motel hosts a lot of permanent residents. There was a large Hispanic population that seemed to live at the motel full time because they had permanent tents and grills in the parking lot. We did not leave our room after dark for safety reasons. I would stay at the Hampton Inn next door if I had to stay in the Murphy, NC area again.

This is a great hotel if youre looking for a clean, quiet room with no issues. Did i mention a friendly staff. The breakfast is better than you'd expect. We have stayed in numerous hotels thru the years, and Best Western Murphy is our pick. the bed may be too soft or too hard for your liking, but you wont be disappointed with your overall experience.

Room appeared clean but had a bad smell. at first it was covered up with a room fragrance by housekeeping but that wore off and it was obvious this was done to cover up a bad smell in the carpet. The carpets are badly in need of cleaning or replacement. Also, the parking lot was full of trucks and lots of Hispanic workers staying there. They were very loud and noisy and the next morning they filled up the breakfast tables and there was no food left.

This hotel I would highly recommend, the office lady was very nice checking us in, also we got to check in earlier than we expected. The room was nice and clean, lots of space in the room. The bed slept well, and the shower was perfect. I will stay again, the best of all was the BREAKFAST, it was EXCELLENT!!!

I have to admit, though it was an older hotel so it was a bit run down, it was surprisingly clean, neat and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive! It was a much better experience than I expected. My only gripe was minor as on the weekend, the sausage gravy was a too runny, yet on Monday morning it was as thick as it should be. If that was my only gripe, then they did well!

They allow pets (limited number of rooms) and was the primary reason for choosing this location.
