Elevator broken, wall paper peeling, holes in furniture in room, bar stools in breakfast room were shabby. The hotel rooms were not what they looked like online

The main elevator had 2 “floor buttons” MISSING from the panel face inside the elevator car leaving dangerous square openings in the panel. One bedside lamp in the room was hanging from its power wires. At the “free” breakfast there was no milk for cereal and only hazelnut creamer. Don’t go there

The staff is kind and helpful, but the facility is a reck. 1 “working” elevator, filthy rooms, cloudy water in the pool, and AC that doesn’t keep up with the outside temperature.

Filled out online pre check in forms that had to be refilled at hotel as the systems don’t link up. Stairwell smelled of urine. Elevator was out of service, even after it was repaired we were too scared to use it and get stuck as everything looked like it was dirty and falling apart.

I honestly do not know how this hotel is currently open. The health inspector/state should come in and condemn this location. There was water dripping from the ceilings and video cameras all throughout the floors we visited trying to locate a luggage cart. There were buckets catching the water at the front door leading in, reception area, and hallways. The elevator floor looked as though it had not been swept in days. The carpets were equally as dirty. The downstairs smelled like marijuana. The 2nd floor which was the floor of our assigned room smelled like smoke. The 4th floor button in the elevator was completely missing. We arrived very late from traveling after midnight. We stood at the front desk for 45 minutes trying to check in however the worker could not get the computer to function properly. Even though it was after 1am, we left without spending even that one night. Worst hotel experience I have ever had after traveling extensively both personally and professionally.

At check-in, 1 of 2 elevators was not working. After returning from dinner, no elevators were working. Front desk clerk stated this was due to heat and that it was too hot in the mechanical room for her to go into the mechanical room to reset the elevators. (We were on the 4th floor and we are both over 70.) When this was reported to the front desk the following morning, the lady on the front desk reset the elevators so that they would work. Overall, hotel was shabby with carpet and wall coverings in need of replacement. Landscaping and flower beds need to be weeded and cleaned up. Towels were ok, wash cloth had a hole and bed poorly made. Only one chair in a large room. In room coffee not good and coffee maker missing proper basket.

The good: The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower pressure was solid. The not-so-good: This hotel is falling apart. Water damage on the ceiling. Torn up furniture. The main elevator was broken when I arrived, and on the second day of my trip, the back-up elevator was out too. So stairs only. And the stairs smelled strongly of cigarettes and urine.

The elevators only go up, the pool was locked down but listed as an amenity. The carpet was soaked from the AC leaking I mean can't take your shoes off or put anything on the floor. Stained sheets and towels. I left the room cleaner than when I arrived especially the bath. No smoking hotel that reeks of dope probably because of the folks sitting on the steps smoking. Lots of "dates" in and out, probably why the police were there twice in the first 3 hours we were there. I know it was a lower price point but at what point does Wyndham stop putting their name on what should be pay cash by the hr. Flop house . Did the pre check in online so tell me why I had to do it again when I got there? and to top it of she tried to put the incidentals hold on the card that I used at "pre check in" so when I asked why she was trying to charge my card 83.83 she said for incidentals. Really? the hold is 50.00 and already done ma'am.

Room 5th floor, no elevator, stairs smell like pee.

* The table light had no bulb in it. * The window shade was broken * The bedroom television was inoperative * One of the two door keys was inoperative * The wall sconce lights were inoperative * The desk chair had a deep gouge in it * The pool, although maintained and clean, was closed to guests the entire Father\'s Day weekend. * Room telephone would not connect to the front desk * When the manager was requested about the above, the desk clerk provided a business card and told us to call that number. When we did, it went to the same desk clerk, who then told us the manager was unavailable * The elevator, AMAZINGLY, had a FRAMED sign in it saying if you touched certain floor buttons, you would be "electrocuted"!! (We have photographs to prove this). * The hallway floors were not cleaned regularly.

Hotel was not clean. I stayed in room 209. The second lock was broken off the door. No light shades on the lights mattress was blood stained, and the room was just not very clean at all.

Upon arriving we noticed trash all around the outside of the building. Checking in was a process as our concierge was more worried about her next text message than checking us in. 10 minutes check in which should only take seconds, we were giving our room cards. She never told us how to get to the elevators so we’re walking around the lobby like to idiots. Finally found the elevators. While waiting we noticed the carpet was filthy with stains, wallpaper peeling. The elevator opened and that was just as dirty. Finally got to our floor, found our room, the key card wouldn’t work in any which way. After many attempts my husband got us inside the room and upon WALKING IN, THE ROOM SMELLED OF CAT URINE!!!! DISGUSTING. There was no way in hell were we staying there. Who knows what we would’ve picked up getting into bed. Went back to the elevators only for the down button to not work. Kept trying to push it to hope it made some kind of contact, only for us to realize it wasn’t budging so we pushed the up button and pray the elevator would make its way to our floor and stop. That took forever. We decided to look for the stairs because we just wanted out of this disgusting hole, but to no avail, we couldn’t locate the stairs. By then we heard the elevator doors open and we quickly ran to it got in and went to the lobby where there was ANOTHER couple complaining of the same thing. Dirty room, smelling of urine, hair I HAVE MORE TO ADD BUT NO ROOM PLEASE REFUND ME. it was horrible

Dirty walls, the room didn't have blackout curtains, all the streetlights were shining into the room, and there were cockroaches in the bed. Totally disgusting.

Poor cleaning and there were bugs. I'm itchy all over my body and the place smells horrible. I think I'm going to sue for lack of hygiene.

The property had a smoke odor even though there is no smoking. The property was run down, buttons missing from the elevator, stains on the carpet.

The hotel was so dirty and in such disrepair. I’ve never been in a more disgusting hotel in my life. It’s supposed to be a smoke-free building, yet the hallways and our room stunk of cigarette smoke. There were several bugs in our room that after a Google search we believe they were stink bugs. There was a long hair in the weave of a clean towel that did not belong to anyone in my family. The lamp shades were dirty…like stained and gross. The shower was chipped and stained. There was actual dirt and debris on the floors throughout the building. The pillows on the beds were so old and needed to be thrown out. The elevator was filthy and broken/damaged. We were on the 4th floor and the call button was completely missing so you had to stick your finger inside the broken hole to press it. There was a stain on the carpet in our room that looked like blood. There was a brown stain on the desk chair that looked like feces. I wouldn’t walk barefoot on the floor because it was so nasty. Do not stay here.

Blood stains on shower curtains, cockroaches in the room, foyer lights could not be turned off making sleeping difficult, no smoking policy not followed at all- hotel reeked of pot smoke, garbage in the parking lot and stairs leading up to the side entry

Corridor carpet is grimy.

Never ever waste money and time on this dilapidated ‘hotel’. The place is filthy dirty from the lobby through the elevator which has sharp edges, very slow and dirty walls stained floor carpets on the hallway. As this was not enough, the beds have bugs, I woke up to see a bug crawling inside the sheets underneath where I slept.The room had cockroaches crawling around the tables. I complained to the receptionist and she just coldly said we will clean the room that was at 1230 noon but surprisingly when I came back to the room at 1800 the room was turned upside down with all the linen on the floor room not cleaned trash still not emptied and beds not made towels not changed , literally nothing was cleaned but just messy. This was after I tried to enter the room but access was cards were not working. The receptionist explained that they had a system error that’s why and had given me a new set today cards. She then moved us to another room on the second floor due to the messy in the room. The move was not a good idea at all because the new room was right in front of the lift and has an open area outside which turned out to be a meeting place for a group of teenage girls who were playing, running around and giggling very loud besides the traffic of people passing by all night that I could not even wink. I have never been this disappointed. I am writing this review at 00:06 am because I of how the place is so noisy. I wanted to insert pictures of the bugs and the messy room.

Dirty rooms, cockroaches, broken toilet, sink and shower, dirty carpets smelled like animal pee, whole place smelled like weed. Just gross overall.

The Heat/Air unit in Room 307 did not work. After reporting it, I tried adjusting both options for wall unit and actual, but it still did not work. Also reported it upon checkout. One of the elevators was out of order.

The room decor and furniture was out dated

My boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel right at 3 for check-in. The man who checked us in was friendly, handed us our room card, and there was no issue. However, when we got to our room, we were unable to get in. We saw that when we inserted the card the little light would turn green, indicating you could enter. No matter how we turned the door handle we were unable to enter the room. So, we went back to the lobby to get a new card or just a new room altogether. This time, we got someone else, and we let her know we were unable to enter our room. Her attitude was unnecessarily nasty, implying that we turned the door handle incorrectly. She told us we had to turn the door handle upwards (which we DID do, however, she didn't seem to believe this). She unhappily handed us a card for a new room, and told us "We'll just save your old card for the next person". I understand she may deal with a lot of bad customers on a daily basis, however, she needs to handle these kinds of situations better. All the other staff was perfectly fine except for this one encounter we had. If she doesn't know how to handle situations like this with a more positive attitude, then, she needs to find a new job. The encounter would have been completely different if she had just handled it in a more professional manner. Besides this encounter, the hotel room was clean and fine for a one-night stay.

We never could get an internet connection even though it was easy to connect the the Wi-Fi network. I had to go to the lobby area with my laptop and connect to my cell phone to get an internet connection. Also the physical condition of the hotel wasn't as good as the last time we stayed. Also some of the hall carpets appeared dirty. There were several lights in our room, 130, that did not work. Also, the 2 A/C power outlets on the desk light on the left side did not work.

The front desk staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, but this location is lacking drastically compared to others. The AC unit did not work in our room (but we were easily given a new room), however, the toilet did not flush in the new room, the microwaves were unclean, and the mattresses were stained horribly. Also, the elevator was missing buttons and felt unsafe. We had tried to get a refund, but our check in time was too late to qualify, so we made the most out of our one night stay. The few good things included in our room were the very comfortable mattresses, the water temperature in the shower, and the pressure of the shower head. However, these do not make up for the drunk and high individuals in the hallway asking “do you know where I can buy ice around here?” or the ones stumbling around the halls. We felt very unsafe and didn’t leave our room until it was time to check out. I honestly would never stay here again and I’m sure I could find somewhere much nicer for the price. The front desk worker was nice, but this hotel should honestly be regarded as a 1 star hotel not suitable for families or people looking for a safe place for the night. I will definitely be checking the reviews more thoroughly next time I book a hotel.

The people I interacted with were very nice. As far as the property: * the heating/cooling unit didn’t appear to work. In early March. * the microwave in the room didn’t work. I found that out after putting water in my oatmeal which I then couldn’t make. * There were no charging outlets by the bed that didn’t involve reaching under furnishings/fixtures. * the TV mounted to the wall was flush and non adjustable, limiting the viewing angle * the elevator did not work On the plus side, the property was very well lighted outside and did feel safe to me. I’m not sure I’d have wanted my wife there by herself.

I was unable to sleep due to noise. People talking in the halls loudly. Then woke at 4 am with staff talking loudly. Worst night of sleep. The shower did not have a shower liner, just a fabric shower curtain that I could not keep closed.

Bed was exceptionally comfortable and the bath towels were plush and soothing on the skin. Very pleased.

The room was clean, breakfast decent, but the first night the people next door had a party going on, I guess lots of alcohol, people super loud, then after midnight they started fighting and yelling to each other (of course!). We were in room 128, the party was on room 129. Those rooms are on the main level. Management did nothing about it. So that night we had few hours of good sleeping. Next day those people were gone and the rest of our stay was pleasant.

staff wasn't available for check in for at least 15minutes. Room that i paid for wasn't available and clerk wouldn't give me a refund for the cheaper room that was made available. Only 1 elevator worked. First room available wouldn't open. had to walk down the stairs to get another room. Staff was not very friendly

Staff very rude, aloud a young man to run around the hall and yell all night long. Did not work with Police when they arrive about this young man. Told me to go back to my room when I complained about the noise and the lack of sleep that occurred during the night. Not only myself but other guest at the hotel. Also went to have breakfast and not much left noticed a number of people off the street enjoying the breakfast the staff put out.

No on read at the front when I got here and someone else was waiting she came up on her phone and helped him went to the back 15 more mins til I called out then I got some assistance

When I checked in, I found out there was no hair dryer. I called the front desk and spoke to JOSEPH. He told me "Oh yeah, your room does not have a hair dryer" When I asked if he could send me one, he said "NO, we don't have any hair dryers" I said what kind of hotel does not have hair dryers and why was I not informed of this. He said sorry we just cannot help you. I said that is a load of crap and he said "I don't have to take that from you and hung up on me. I tried to call back but he would not answer the phone. I then called the front desk from my cell and JOSEPH answered and whwn I said who I was he hung up on me again. This is the WORST I have ever been treated at a hotel/motel by the front desk whp are there supposedly to help and solve problems. Not JOSEPH. He did not want to be bothered at all in trying to help me. I will never stay at a La Quinta Hotel again. Also, one of the bathroom lights was out and another light by the bed was out, too.. Do you think I wanted to call JOSEPH? No way. He would have hung up on me. La Quinta needs to train their employees in customer service and how to keep their customers loyal & happy.

Nice and accomadating staff

We were in Raleigh to attend a NCSU football game which didn't end until 11:00 p.m. so it was late when we got to the hotel. There were several people ahead of us but only one person handling check-in and registration. The process was extremely slow (took us almost an hour to get checked-in after arrival) and the staff person was overwhelmed with the number of people to process. The staff person did an ok job but it was obvious he was not prepared to handle the number of late check-ins.

The front desk lady was not rude or anything, but she was not helpful in an uncomfortable situation. The first thing I noticed was how nasty and run down the hotel is. No air in lobby or hallways. Elevator was broken. The worst was at night when at 9:00 LOUD heavy bass music starts in the room next door. This went on until 10:30 and then started in the middle of the night. I called down to the front desk about the noise at 9:30 and she did nothing. Quiet hours start at 10, but this level of noise was the type of loud that is disrespectful anytime of day. Needless to say we left as soon as possible.

The problem I have is with the first room. The A/C was not working and the tv stopped working as well. But, the wonderful staff was so helpful. They switched our room and it was so better. Newer room with new paint and cleaner. The was wonderful. My problem is with the old building.

There was the time when I considered La Quinta to be a destination hotel. Since those early days, it doesn't appear that they've done anything toward maintenance. There were signs that La Quinta was originally a wonderful place to stay, with thoughtful accoutrements and welcoming, shiny vibes. Now, it feels like the ambition ended a long time ago and you're paying good money to linger in some leftover dregs of the past. At best, the ambience could be characterized as having expired. Not nasty, but not somewhere to exhale. I'd paid in advance to expedite check in after an anticipated long day, and was looking forward to using the kpool and going to bed. Having arrived, I waited with a few others at check-in for about 20 minutes, with no visible signs of staff. We had taken to yelling at top pitch, "hello? hello? HELLO IS ANYONE HERE???" without results. Eventually, two still-wet guys toweling off thru the lobby explained that the check in person would return after closing the pool. Useless, time and money for Ubering & buying a swimsuit for a CLOSED POOL?. The elevator closest to front desk was broken. The trek to a working one, then to my room took long enough to forget any notions of returning for the next day's free lobby breakfast. Bugs? Yes, and the furniture was old. The whole place needs revision. Can't imagine people willing to fork out so much for so little. The towels were nice and thick and fluffy. And clean.

This Inn was close to our venue but in horrible shape. The doors to the outside were broken, in other words outsiders coild enter as someone had jammed the door open and the key did not work. Screaming and yelling occurred on Saturday night and managment did not respond. Even though, I could have my pet I would not stay here again. Pet owners did not pick up after their pets. Management had the personality of rocks.

Good location for my needs

Perfect location for a one night stay. Had easy access to the mall, food, and other necessities in the area. Very convenient for the wedding the booking was for.

The staff at Check-in was very friendly. Breakfast was enjoyable.

The property was dirty. The light over our sink did not work as did several of our lamps in our room. Very noisy, run down and basically there must have been people who live there, because they were taking food from the breakfast area away in containers. The food area was a disgrace and I do not know if I would put there was a complimentary breakfast. Vending machines would have been the equivalent.

The propery is in a convenient location and offers continental breakfast until 9am, even til.9 on weekends. The room was pretty good except for the lighting. All yellow and very dim. Property had poor technology, which affected front desk service and wifi in room, where i had plannrd to work. I couldnt check in because all systems were down so had to cancel and rebook so i could make payment via my phone. Whole property outside of my room smelled of marijuana, especially the hallways. Elevators are broken, but has 5 floors! I was on 4th, had to ride to 5 then walk down to 4. The place is a mess! Will not go back!

There was no heat in the lobby. Staff had to wear parkas. Couldn’t eat a very limited breakfast due to the lack of heat. The bedroom lamp had no bulb and they wouldn’t exchange it with another lamp. There was trash throughout the hallways. The elevator’s down button didn’t work. The hotel was sold in October but won’t start desperately needed renovation February.

No major problems. Convenient to shopping and dining. Breakfast bar was not well maintained.

We stayed here for one night, and honestly, it wasn’t great. The room smelled like smoke, and even though the beds were clean, the carpet and most of the furniture felt pretty dirty and really outdated. There wasn’t even a lock on the bathroom door, which was annoying. The hotel was mostly quiet, but there were a few people arguing loudly in the lobby for about an hour in the evening, which made things feel a bit uncomfortable. There was free breakfast, which is always nice, but the options were pretty limited compared to other La Quintas I’ve stayed at. Overall, it was fine for a quick overnight stop, but I wouldn’t want to stay here again.

Breakfast hot items were gone in a half hour and never replenished.

The carpets in the lobby and halls were worn out and maybe in need of replacement. There was construction on the outside of the property, maybe they are planning on replacing the carpets after the exterior work in done. But what was most annoying to me was that when I went to the main lobby for breakfast a little before 9:30 AM for the "free breakfast", I was told there was no breakfast avaliable and there was noone eating. So it looked like there hadn't been any breakfast served there for a while. I was giving no advance notice of any of these circumstances upon booking nor at check in.

Door from parking lot To our room was supposed to be locked 24/7. We reported it and it never was locked. It Was supposed to be non-smoking and the place smelled like marijuana at all times day/night. It Was run down and dirty. I would not recommend staying there. Breakfast was minimum and people would go to lobby or send kids and there was always cereal and milk spilled in hallways and elevator WHEN the elevator was working. Pictures on website look great but they are very deceiving. We booked because we have a dog but wasn’t fit for our dog.
