Cross country trip with the family. Opted to stay further in vs right of off the hwy. It was a great choice. Location was great. It was nice, clean and felt very safe. The only disappointment was the indoor pool that was small and water was very dirty. My kids still jumped in but came out after a short while because the water smelled. They quickly showered off the smelly pool water. Breakfast was good. They had scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, bagels, variety of juices, coffee and milk. Overall it was a pleasant overnight stay for our trip.

It was a overall clean place but it is old. The swimming pool was freezing. Our micro wave in the bedroom did not work. There was a cockroach in the bathroom by the swimming pool.

I would give the hotel a 2.5. The room need better cleaning, so the cleaning lady came and cleaned the drawers out. The fridge didnt work, the front desk had another one brought up and the inside was dirty, but I had lysol wipes and cleaned it. The couch had a large ripped on the left arm.The indoor pool was very cold, maybe the pool should be closed after summer unless they are going to heat it. I wanted to be walking distances to NMSU, so the location was great.

The property looks nothing like the online photos. It’s run down and filthy. There was “caution” tape on the elevator floor, there was a washer and dryer, but the dryer was out of order, there was an elliptical and a treadmill in the “gym”, but the treadmill was out of order, my bathroom smelled sour and moldy, the towels all had hair on them, the bathtub dripped for three days, none of the ice machines worked and all had old calcium buildup on the outside, the lobby and first floor hall smelled like cigarette smoke, the “pantry” was sold out of bottles of water, never saw anyone cleaning, the indoor swimming pool is just off the lobby area so the floor was always wet and never mopped up, the door to my room looked like it had been kicked in at some point because the door frame/jam was terribly bent. There was a complimentary clear glass container of water for guests to drink upon check in and it remained at the same level for three days which tells me it contained stagnant water that is more than likely never replaced. It is a dirty, filthy, disgusting property with clearly no management. Extremely overpriced given the condition of the property, not a great location, and never had staff available at the front desk and if they were available, there was always someone “in training”.

Sink stopped up. After they fixed it left the bathroom dirty and didn’t clean it afterwards. TV didn’t work with all the channels. Phone in the room didn’t work so had to walk back and forth to the front counter to explain the issues was. Could tell there were previous leaks in the bathroom. Ice machines were disgusting. Indoor pool wasn’t heated and was terribly cold.

We found Comfort Suites University Las Cruces quite disappointing. Here's why: the toilet seat in our bathroom was loose and about the fall off. I asked the front desk to fix it, but I was ignored, so I fixed it myself. The freezer door on our room fridge was broken off. We had a total of one large towel in our bathroom when we arrived. The switch for the bathroom warming light was broken, so the light was unusable. The electric outlet to the right of the television didn't work. The breakfast was awful—both days. The carpet in the elevator was disgusting. Replace it! Our floor hallway carpet needed to be vacuumed. The swimming pool water was so cloudy that we didn't dare go swimming. Do I need to go on? I feel we deserve a refund or at least a discount.

We recently stayed at this hotel, this past weekend. I have a few complaints, which is rare for my family & I since we seem pretty easy to please. Previous to booking with this hotel, I booked with a different hotel but after viewing all that way promised through Comfort Suites, I decided it would be a better fit for my family. It ended up being the complete opposite. The pool was ice, ice cold, which was the main reason we chose to stay here with our kids. Never were we informed the heating element needed to be replaced. Staying at this hotel, which cost us $190.00 more for the entire weekend than the previous hotel we chose, was a total waste of money. There was no coffee at breakfast, which we were informed "it needed to be ordered". Horrible weekend, and would like partial refund for the troubles. We will never be staying at a Comfort Inn or Suites again.

Bathroom wasn't cleaned prior to checking in. Hair in the shower. Drain plug was broken. Trash in the trashcan. And a missing lightbulb. Ice machine was broken. One of the comforters was sticky. All in all a disgusting experience.

This was the most filthy hotel that we experienced. Hotel room had blood on sheets, hair all over the place, someone’s pants were left in the closet. We were offered another room however, that room was just as filthy. We didn’t stay 1 night of our 4 night reservation. We asked for a refund the associate at the front desk said he would write a note for the manager who can only process refunds. This was booked through Expedia which after multiple calls by them and us no luck reaching the manager. At this point it feels like she is ignoring us. Would not recommend, DONT BOOK HERE

This establishment is an older building. The pictures may look nice but in person it is run down. We were in town for a concert. We stayed in room 222. The room was spacious and we gave it the benefit of the doubt. The table wasn’t balance and had a folded up cardboard under one of the legs. There were handprints from the former tentante on the head bored still. Yuck! Then, we ordered pizza and saw a roach run across the table. Still, we thought maybe it was a moth. But then we were asleep I woke up to check on my child and saw a roach running across ours bed by my child! Find another place to stay. This hotel is disgusting.

This property is very outdated, everything in the room is falling apart. They do have cockroaches, the bedsheets are dirty, the rooms look like they aren’t properly cleaned. Visible dirt and grime everywhere. The walls are very thin, you could hear everything from above and next door.

Our door wouldn't lock and it was like that the whole time we were there even though we reported it. We also didn't receive housekeeping. Cups were always out in the places they offered drinks. They seem a little understaffed. That said, it was decent in all the other ways. Kids enjoyed the pool. The room smelled nice when we checked in. Beds/pillows were comfortable.

Check in was easy and fast. Friendly staff. Area was perfect for a band event at the university-two minute drive. Breakfast was pretty basic hotel buffet food but prepared well. Dining area was clean and well stocked. Room was dated but clean. Beds were comfy. TV was ancient. Made us appreciate our HDTV at home. My only complaint would be the lack of lighting in the room. No bulbs in the living area lamp. Only other lamp didn’t work. Only lights were the side table ones. Similar issue in the bathroom. Vanity light was very dim. There was a bright heat lamp that we had to keep on to get ready. Toasty! I also appreciated a call from the hotel to let me know we’d left an iPad in the room. We were still in town and able to pick it up. Hotels don’t usually make an effort to return left-behind items so that was pretty nice! I’d stay there again - unless there was something on tv we planned on watching. WNBA finals were on and it was disappointing that we weren’t able to watch the game on TV and had to watch it on our ipad.

Don't be confused by the fact that there are 3 Comfort Suites hotels in the area! This one was fine, if a little worn. I thought it was nice and clean, and the fridge, microwave and coffee pot worked. Great shower pressure. But there was no full-length mirror and the place was a bit worn down. The front desk clerk as welcoming, though & breakfast was good.

When we arrived at 4:00pm (check in at 3:00pm) we were informed the rooms were ready but they were not able to get us on the same floor. We walked to our room and discover the door wide open, linens off the beds, and clearly not ready to stay. When we spoke to the front desk person, he informed us the hotel was completely booked and no rooms were available (overheard him telling other customers the same thing later) and we would have to come back in 1.5 hours. With 7 children in tow, this was not an option. We asked to speak to a manager, and he stated there was no manager on duty. When asked for a refund, he stated the payment wouldn’t be processed for 2-3 days but would be happy to email a confirmation of the refund. After waiting nearly 20 minutes for said email, a manager miraculously appeared and informed him over half the rooms on the second floor were available and there was no need to refund. We ended up staying, but wish we had just taken the refund. The tile in the elevator was broken and haphazardly taped, causing us to trip nearly every time upon entering.

The young man that was at the front desk was very rude, he was texting on his ohone the whole time i was being checked in and he did not even greet me nor did he tell me where my room was locates, what time pool open or Closed, what the time frame was for breakfast, ran my card through the machine asked why he was running my car (didnt have no eye contact just said for damage charges), gave me a folded paper and didnt even mention what room number we were in, just very poor customer service!. Room had broken door with 3 nails sticking out and I had a 4yr, 1yr old and a 4 month old, cabinet door was already hanging with one hinge, the room door that conjoined the room next door did not LOCK put a chair in front of the door, one bed had no comforter, phone did not work, and there were crumbs left from previous stay. Dusty countertops . . . Was Very disappointed in the cleanliness especially because it was a suite . . .

Best part was the staff. They were short handed but friendly and helpful. Everything was broken down - exercise equipment, ice machine, waffle dispenser. Elevator floor dirty. First room was very dirty with peeling paint and water damage in the bathroom. Second bathroom had hair left in the shower.

The room was good and the hotel was nice. But the bad part was when the first morning walking out someone mentioned there car was broke into outside the hotel. Than the next the car parked next to us had the rear window broken and our vehicle now has a huge dent in the back hatch as well. I do realize the hotel can’t control random people but this place may not be the safest for your vehicle. I will have a hard time staying here again especially now I have to pay an insurance deductible. Better luck to future patrons.

Fabulous hotel. The rooms were large and spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. Eggs, sausage, tamales, two different kinds of waffles and everything you could possibly want to feed you and your guests. The staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly. This will be my go-to hotel every time we're in town

Breakfast was sparse. I went the first day about 830, which was close to the end but there was nothing available. And it looked like nothing had been refilled in a while. The second day it was so overpacked I couldn’t get anything either. I didn’t even try the third morning.

Everything was good up until breakfast. Ran out of waffle mix and coffee cups an hour or more before breakfast was over. Lady up front refused to add more. She said it would take 90 minutes to do waffle batter. Lots of guests were complaining amongst themselves.

We stayed at this hotel to go to a concert at the pan American center the hotel was very close to the arena that was great. There breakfast is till 9:00 am we got there like 8:40 am everything was gone we told the guy at the front desk he said his breakfast person didn't show up but at 8:55 2 ladies came in the breakfast area to clean up. There was a few other guests that showed up at the same time I felt they could have brought out food but instead they were more interested in shutting it down and cleaning up

The room was clean and pretty nice. The size was right for our family (6 people). The breakfast was great, including hot options like tamales, eggs, sausage, and waffles. Overall I would say this was a nice place at a good price.
