Extended Stay America Suites - Cleveland - Great Northern Mall

The hotel is out of date back in 70s, cleanliness of kitchen, cabinets were not clean, microwave was filthy, water spicket handle was glued or something, tough to lift up. Filthy carpet. Plug Ins didnt work, no USB ports available. Pot holes in black top, landscaping rocks scattered in parking lot. Over all nasty. Only good thing was your nice staff.

Hotel is older but rooms had been upgraded. Hotel is loud in that you can hear your upstairs neighbors walking and doors shutting, not because people were rude. Located in a decent area, near a strip mall.

This place needs an overhaul. Noisy, crappy parking. Lost power, and they don't have emergency lighting. Part of the roof fell in.

Not great. They denied receiving any details from hotels.com around my request for accommodations. I reported that we were bringing a service animal and that I have some mobility issues and would benefit from a room near the elevator or common area. I always send this well in advance so that the hotel can figure out where to put me that will make sense. They put me about half way down the hall which is not great. When we got to the room I had to spend the first several minutes documenting the damage to the room as the carpet was torn in several places. There was also damage to the walls in some areas. I wanted a time stamped photo to back me up that this was not damage from my dog as a room should not look like that. The tv was like a bobble head doll and the position of the screen would not hold. They had no ice machine. There was a type written document full of typos on the dresser that stated that we could make our own ice with the two ice trays in the freezer. The breakfast was coffee with no creamer and a few granola bars. Be so for real right now. If I was paying $80, I’d say ok whatever, but this was about $140, which makes the details completely unacceptable. Needless to say i will not be staying there again.

The side entrance door did not latch securely. Anyone could have entered without a key. The bathroom and kitchen floor were sticky to walk on. Beds were average. Someone started yelling and banging on a door at 6 am, then a few minutes later the fire alarm went off. We were told there was no fire, but the alarm went off two more time. After the alarm stopped, our bathroom fan started to make a horrible noise. The front desk said that the noise was because they were trying to get something to cool down, but there was no fire. I was packed up and left by 6:30 am, just as the fire department was arriving.

I drove from out of state,was an hour early for check in,thought maybe my room was ready,got told i could checkin for an xtra charge even though my room was ready.i asked to use restroom and was told there wasnt one except in my room...ive stayed with extended stay many times never had that issue.the man at the desk when i returned was very nice

Found a live roach on one of the beds chirping away on my final night there. Room in poor condition with wear, nicks, and chips throughout. Safety door lock screws have been pulled out of the door. TV controller has crud deposits and dead batteries. Front desk would not clean or replace the controller. Advertised breakfast is almost non-existent (oatmeal packets, coffee & tea - you may ask the front desk for a small muffin or granola bar). Kitchen cabinets are empty-you must request any/all items/equipment you need in the kitchen. No ice machine in bldg. Non-functional built-in microwave above counter. 2nd microwave on countertop. Sticky kitchen and bathroom floor. No hair dryer in room. Paper sign at front desk said no vacancies 3 of my 4 nights; however, the company's online website showed availability and would allow you to book it. Lower class motel/hotel would have been so much better!

The only thing positive about this stay was the room was relatively clean. For an extended stay suite nothing was included with this room. No coffeemaker, dishes, hair dryer, etc. We had to go down everyday and ask for bath linens and there was an extra charge for service to bring them to you and to empty trash. The staff was not friendly or accommodating in any way. Laundry facilities were adequate however each load was $3.00 which in my opinion is on the high side. The fitness center consisted of three machines and no fan making the room quite uncomfortable while using the treadmill. The grab and go breakfast consisted of oatmeal packets, muffins and coffee. The area was convenient but I would not recommend this place to stay. Hindsight being what it is I would have paid an extra $10.00 a night for a much nicer place.

They lied about our room we was supposed to have 2 beds and they have no ice make I do not recommend

Despite finding dirty underware with bacon in them under the bed, the microwaves still had cheese in it from the last guests. The best was a out as flimsey as cardboard and you know that breakfast they SAY THEY HAVE? Well its coffee.

Somebody tried to break in our room, so we left the middle of 2am and place was horribly dirty with old food and hair. And the cherry on top was when I charged two separate prices for two rooms when I only payed in one, I couldn’t stay in the room for how sticky the rug was. I’ve warned everybody to stay away. And the hotels ignoring my messages now. Never again in my or my children’s life.

The location is good. The kitchen in the room was dirty (stove and walls); the carpet floor was very dirty; I didn't take off my shoes. The good things were the clean and comfortable bed. The hallway was dirty. The front desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was only mini cupcakes (one-inch ones) and coffee (so one kind of snack with coffee, but not breakfast). I definitely will not stay there again. I can pay an extra $20 and stay in a better place where I feel I am staying at a hotel. After that visit couldn't wait to go back home to shower after that experience

The beds had bed bugs. We left the property and had to find a different place to stay.

Gross. Pull out bed had old gross water bottle and fruit looops all over it. Stained floor. Not good

Wood furniture (desk, side table etc.) need to be deep cleaned, kitchen drawer fronts and pulls, as ALL are sticky/dirty too the touch. Bathroom floor was also sticky.

Would give zero stars if I could. Our room wasn’t ready by 3pm. Couldn’t get in until almost an hr later. The room was huge for the price we paid, however, after finally getting settled in and unpacking (we’re moving from out of town) we realized my son had BED BUG bites all over his shoulder and FOUND THE BED BUGS still crawling on his shirt after only laying in the bed for 10 min. Called the front desk and was told that we had 2 leave 2 avoid spreading their BED BUGS to another room. If that wasn’t enough, it was already after midnight, I have my 2 children and my youngest is disabled and in a wheelchair. There was no problem getting a full refund though. Won’t be staying here ever again. Would not recommend

There were roaches on the kitchen counter and the oven was dirty.

Our room #205 smelled like rice and it was missing the tv remote control. The breakfast was meh and there were no napkins.

The beds were beyond not comfortable hard as rock.

This was nothing like other extended stays I have been to, the property is a bit beat, the room was supposed to have a sofabed, the one it had was broken and missing a mattress, mo cleaning went through, was supposed to have breakfast included but we never used it as it wasn’t clearly located or designated so we never bothered with it.

The room was very spacious, but the carpeting base is falling down from the wall in some areas. Carpeting looks old & dirty. Teh bed was surprisingly comfortable.

Our bed was a thin mattress wrapped in plastic. We got 3 pillows for the 2 of us that barely had any fluff. We appreciated the kitchenette area. But if the bed isn't decent, what's the point of the rest of the room? Oh, and they clearly discussed being out of pillows at the counter leaving us under the impression to be happy with what we got.

Third floor smell was not pleasant. Rooms could use a good update.

I cannot begin to describe how terrible this experience was. We were denied towels. We had four people in one room and two people in another room. We were given two towels per room and told that that was enough. We asked for pillows for our pullout sofa and were denied. Despite having a full kitchen. They denied us any type of cups or things to cook food in our room. This hotel advertises that they have a free breakfast but it’s just a granola bar and coffee.

Great Hotel and location. Staff members were great and accomodating. Cleveland is a great city with really good food spots too! Thank You!

Nick at the front desk was very helpful and nice i would recommend this hotel it's clean friendly convenient.

Booked on Expedia. Came to property to check in and said the manager forgot to take it off. They were overbooked and had no room for us.

I really appreciated the staff at this property! Rebecca and Rachel were fantastic ! I can’t thank them enough for the hard work and dedication to their jobs !!!! I would for sure stay here again ! Thank you guys !

I've stayed in different Extended Stays hotel but no other like this one, and not in a good way. To start, I made reservations for a 2beds Room. It looked nice and clean in the pictures everything nice until we arrived at the lobby to this specific location! It smelled like cheap motel to be honest, the guy "assigned" to the front desk had a "I don't wanna be here" attitude, breathing loud end everything. We continues to confirm the reservation, give us our key cards and send us in our way, we go to the floor, walk to the door, opened the door and the room WAS OCCUPIED!!! 👀 We closed the door, technically run to the lobby again, when we tell the front desk guy what happened he just sighed and continued to check the computer to then tell me "Oh I'm sorry we fully booked " like wth 😒

The area is great. There is a mall within walking distance and places are easy to find. The air in our room leaked, water all over the floor. other than that, the hotel is nice and the employees were very nice.

The room was supposed to be a Non-smoking room but it smelled like old cigarettes. The fold away was horrible. The breakfast was lousy. Not what we were expecting.

Terrible Breakfast. There was almost nothing in breakfast.

Breakfast consisted of coffee and tea, no food. When brought to attention of staff, I got excuses rather than a solution. Never an apology.

The room we got was definitely not the one i booked the didn't have hard wood floors the carpet was nasty the room and hotel stinks. The grab and go breakfast was a joke a muffin and coffee. The rooms could be really nice with some updates. Pictures on are very misleading.

It was not good. Stayed two nights. That was too long. Complimentary breakfast was awful. Coffee was in drinkable. Will never stay at sn Extended Stay America again!!

Check in went fine but I don’t think they were happy we booked on Expedia bc of the low rate we got so he kept saying how they were sold out etc. our room was smelly and we bought some deodorizer's to try to help cover the smell. We were on the first floor and it was super noisy above us. The pull out mattress had a bunch of terrible looking stains. The complimentary breakfast was watery coffee and expired nutrigrain bars. I wouldn’t stay there again.
