they had no ice machines that worked, an never offered to go to the gas station and get any. the pool area was freezing cold, and the hot tub was barely warm an the jets didn't work. I also had to ask for towels in the pool area.

The mirror in our room fell down during our stay (didn't break, was caught by us), in which we found it was covering a hole in the wall. There were no towels in the pool area, hot tub wasn't hot - was warm. Besides that it was a good stay. Room was clean, bed was comfy. We stay here every time we are in Sioux Falls so will be back, the above are just minor things.

There was no sign or notice that thw hot tub wasnt working. I went to get in, tried turning on the jets. They did not work. Stepped one foot in and the water was almost coldwr then the pool. Breakfast was horrible. Juice and coffee selection was limited and weak. The food selection was also extremely limited. Bagels, waffles and cereal. Thats it. No fruit, no yogurt.

This hotel was disgusting. Pot smell was the first thing you smell walking thru the front door. Febreeze is an amazing tool and quite frankly the whole hotel could use it. The beds were not comfortable, dust everywhere, floors were nasty and sticky and just overall nasty!

We had problems with the toilet, it wouldn’t flush properly. We told someone and they said they would send someone over to come check it out. Later a guy did come by and we told him what was going on, he then proceeded to say “okay I will let them know” this was the last thing we ever heard of them. The toilet never got fixed. Also the bedsheets had stains on them. The bathroom sink didn’t work either and it was dirty. Not very satisfied with this stay :(

Front desk person was nice. The first room they gave me was still dirty and had not been cleaned that day. They gave another room and that one was clean and fine. The carpets are dirty, the stairs are lumpy because the carpet is coming off of them. Breakfast was decent. Cleaning staff knocked on my door at 8:30 AM and woke me up to ask if they could clean my room. What? Check out was at 11 AM. I've never had housekeeping come in 2.5 hours early to wake me up to try to move me along. I told them I was going to be leaving at 11 AM. They knocked again at 9:45 AM, I told them the same thing. Then at 10:30 AM, by this point I was very frustrated with the man. Then at 10:54 he knocks while I'm in the bathroom and enters the room. He sees that I'm still in there and I told him that it wasn't 11 AM. It was 10:54. I left at 11 AM and checked out. No one was at the front desk for me complain, but I will most certainly not stay at another Econo Lodge in the future.

I don’t believe the room was cleaned after last guest left. Bed was made but sheets were dirty and wash-clothes too. Next morning housekeeping/manager came to room to retrieve a wallet that was forgotten by a past guest it was under the bed. Not found by housekeeper during cleaning obviously. Extremely stingy on towels … 2 per room when room sleeps 4 people. Didn’t seem happy to give us more when asked. Breakfast had waffles, muffins, cereal and toast/bagels but no fruit or eggs or yogurt. Jets on hot tub not functioning either.

Wouldnt stay here again. Hallway carpets were dirty and worn. Rooms were clean. Pillows on beds were very small and flat. Air conditioning blew out forcefully and loud but air was extremely cold or very hot, no in between. Building overall was very warm and humid, making it smell old and damp. Breakfast was not worth waking up early for. The waffle mix tasted horrible and still doughy; muffins were dry. The only other options were toast, oatmeal and cereal. They have two floors and no elevator. The plus is that is was located in a very convenient area with lots of food places around.

It was just a stopl over for a long trip. Found that the public facilities washroom were broken. Unsafe in terms of a domestic quarrel in the breakfast area. Bathroom faucet was a trickle. Shower was warm not hot. Room smelled musty You could hear the people in the room above walking and wheeling of suitcases. I had to go back to my room after checking out to use the washroom because the public one was broken. Hotel needs a serious upgrade. We get it if you pay a lower price that this is a possibility. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Crack heads up all night running down the hall, slamming doors and yelling. The hallway smelled like weed the entire time. You could hear everything going on in the hallway. Customers should be put in rooms away from the crack heads that stay there.

We came to town to see the Hardy concert and just needed an affordable place to stay. This met all our needs. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We never made it to the complimentary breakfast but it looked like a nice set up! The pool was small but ok. The hot tub was hot, but didn’t circulate and was a bit cloudy! The staff were very nice, most were just being trained. The property is very run down. Carpets in the hallways were old, but clean. The ceiling tiles were old and def need replacing. The hotel is dated and it does need a makeover. But if you need a quick stop and don’t want to pay a lot, this is your place. Arby’s is right next door as is Burger King and mcdonald’s. There is also a fun dive bar across the street (the Red Eye Bar). While I can’t rate this hotel 5 stars, it was it exactly what we required and fit the budget. Good times in Sioux Falls!

The building itself could use some upkeep. The room was non-smoking but wreaked of smoke. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable. Im guessing it was the cheapest mattress hey could find. Not sure how old it was but I could feel the springs. The room had 1 picture the rest of the walls were bare and the floor was a roll vinyl which isnt so bad but made the room very loud and echo. I could hear the people both across the hall and next door as if they were in the room with me. The water pressure was horrible. No matter the setting on the shower head the water came out as a dribble and the water never really got hot. The continental breakfast was only 2 hours from 7-9. There was the standard bagels, cereal and such. The Waffle batter was already poured into cups and just left on the counter but figured I would risk it. After a few min. realized the machine hadnt even been turned on. After about 10 min it was done enough to remove from the maker but wasnt edible... ended up with a bagel and a bowl of cereal and left. It would have been better to drive through the night than stay in this hell hole.

This is right off the interstate so it’s in an excellent location. It has good parking and it looks safe. It’s near food options, so that is convenient. The Econo Lodge has good bones. The building is a nice brick and parking is good. The staff are nice and breakfast is good. However, it could really use some updates, some money put into the building. The main hall rug is worn/discolored. From what I saw all of the toilets need replaced. The toilet in my room had a filler valve that was sticking. It wasn’t just a bad part, it was an old toilet. It didn’t flush on its own. The floors looked newer but the couches were a medium green and were stained. The sink, sink fixtures and sink counters all need replaced. The rooms have refrigerators which is super convenient. With some updates this would be a nice place. Old toilets, old sinks, old sink fixtures and old sink counters are what makes the place look shabby and what brings lower reviews. My tub took forever to drain too.

Front desk not so nice I had to get up at 4:40 for work had to check out we paid 100.00 cash for the deposit .when I checked out the guy seid that I owed money when I payed in full for the first 4 night then extended the stay one more night .he seid that I dident get the money back cuz I dident pay one night .I showed him proof on hotles .com and he still dident believe me .he told me to come back later to figure it out .I was late for work cuz of the argument for an hour the pool was nasty .the hot tub ok it was very hot in there and they had a bird flying around in the pool area ,don't go in the pool .the people in the hotel was creepy and the halls smelled bad ,and there was always a guy sleeping in the hall on the couch second floor ..the room was nice ,beds are good and updated .no water pressure and no hot water .I work road construction and need a nice shower ..if they give you a room way in the back .don't stay .room have mold.holes in the walls dresser broken and crayon writing all over .I'll never stay here again ever

It took a staff member an extremely long time to come to the front desk and when they did they were very hard to understand and unfriendly. This place did not feel welcoming at all from the moment we walked in. It is extremely dated. Once we got to our room it smelled very strongly of bug spray which had us concerned. The water pressure sucked. The pool smelled strange. The beds and linens were no where near comfortable. Overall not the worst experience but i expected more for what we paid.

I was there to see the orthopedic surgeon the next day and was on crutches along with a lot of pain. He was able to get me in a room that was next to an exit. It was really late and I was very tired when I got there. But he was patient and beyond helpful even though I was probably a pain in the butt. Very respectful yung man and I appreciate all he did for me.

I stayed at Econo Lodge North (11/14) for one night to catch an early flight out of FSD (I am not from the SF area). After checking in, I was asked to reshare my ID and resign the check-in document, which felt like I had to check in twice at 10 pm. While sleeping, a woman, who I assume was management, came into the room without warning at 6:30 a.m., asking for my ID again. I felt my rest and peace were disturbed, which made my stay very uncomfortable and bothered. The hotel is not in good condition and will not be returning in the future.

I paid my stay on arrival and then you HAVE to put a separate $100.00 "security deposit" down which was not listed on Expedia. (What if I was not able to provide this extra unknown fee- they would still change the room to the cc on the file!) NOT okay. Walmart bags for the garbage can bags. TV remote had no back piece to secure the batteries. There is not an elevator at this location. The best part.... As I was checking out, the employee asked if I enjoyed my stay. I wanted my $100 back so I said yes. He asked if I would scan the QR code and leave a review. HE TOOK MY PHONE AND DID THE REVIEW HIMSELF..... ALL 5 STARS.... Then submitted it. I have never experienced anything like this.

We were told to park in back. The door to get in was not secure and looked broken. We did not want to keep car back there as it looked sketchy. We parked in front. It was pretty cheap to stay for one night on our way to Deadwood so it was okay.

Average stay for a very reasonable price. Quick overnight with a grab and go breakfast and we were back on the road. Front desk staff was very nice. Showers were good and beds were comfy. Don’t stay here for the pool. Very cold and outdated.

The hotel is in terrible need of upgrading. Smelly, dirty looking carpets and just rundown. Breakfast was minimal for what you usually get at a hotel. No ice. Beds were ok. Staff were friendly. This was definitely not worth what we paid for it.
